♥~Chapter Forty-Eight~♥

His Personal Maid

super duper long chapter (like 12 pages worth XD) sorry for the lack of updates bbys :(((

JB couldn’t help but for his eyes to linger on his friend that just entered his home and was now heading towards the longue room. His steps were heavy and angry. JB didn’t know why he was holding his breath but he released a huge amount when Mark sunk into the couch, eyes focused on the carpeted floor underneath him.

A few moments ago JB was just upstairs in his room, finishing up his science homework that he needed by tomorrow and now he opened up his door to his friend that wordlessly entered the place.

The thought of finishing his homework had already left JB’s mind because one, being a leader meant he was always ready for his team members and is supposed to take care of them, two Mark didn’t look at all happy and JB wanted to know why and three, the last time Mark went to his place at such state was two years ago when Sara left without telling anyone.

Mark was running all over the place with tears streaming down his eyes, so whatever the reason why Mark was there must’ve been something massive and honestly, JB slightly scared to be around Mark, he was extra scary when he’s sensitive.

“What’s with you?” JB came back from the kitchen with a glass of water in his hands and now standing in front of Mark who wouldn’t look at him. “What’s wrong Mark?” He asked once again when the boy didn’t answer.

Mark finally snapped out of his gaze and looked at JB who gasped slightly at the shock of seeing how red Mark’s eyes were.

“Jaebum…” Mark gulped, for some reason he was frantic. He didn’t know what to do, he didn’t know what to say or think. He was a mess. A part of him wanted to be alone and just sleep, another part of him wanted to spill out everything to his friend and another part, the smallest part, he wanted to go back to the Tuans’ residence.

JB sighed and placed the glass on the coffee table before sitting beside it, facing Mark to an eye level. “It’s okay. Just stay here for now. Talk to me when you’re ready” He felt like he was talking to a child, he felt like a parent. Mark right then was like a child, hopeless, teary, looking so lost and small, JB just wanted to cuddle him and protect him but he didn’t, he didn’t want to appear creepy.

JB stood up to give his friend space but Mark spoke up. “I asked her about what Bambam told us. Then… then… we fought” JB almost forgot about the incident with Yoojin, he almost forgot what had happened. He bit his lip not knowing what to say and Mark noticed that he was thinking hard so he waved him off, telling him that he wanted to be alone.

In the end, Mark ended up staying in JB’s house. His parents had already came in a few hours ago, returning from their work. It was nearing midnight and all Mark wanted to do is close his eyes and escape the reality to dreamland but he couldn’t.

No matter how hard he tried to keep his eyes closed they just ended up opening after 5 minutes. He couldn’t stop thinking about what Bambam said, he couldn’t stop thinking at how dumb he was for not noticing, he couldn’t stop feeling so angry at Yoojin… he couldn’t stop thinking about their fight.

He turned over on the couch that he was laying on. He buried his face onto the pillow that JB gave him to use. Mark didn’t regret the fight and that’s what made him even more confused.

Mrs Tuan faced Yoojin, letting out a rather shaky breath. She had returned home, the place looking normal and clean just like how it always was when she returned home but she couldn’t brush off the cold feeling that lingered around the air.

Sehun told her what happened. Sehun told her what had happened between Yoojin and Mark. Now she knew everything, and so did Mr Tuan who went back to the company after being called once again to do some finishing touches with the paperwork to finally send their companies to the new owners.

“So…” Mrs Tuan started, she kept her voice in a slower pace, not wanting to fear the young girl that fidgeted with her clothes. “What Sehun said was true, right?” Mrs Tuan held her breath when she saw Yoojin nodded without any hesitation.

“Can you tell me what happened Yoojin?”

Yoojin rubbed her now sweaty palms onto the fabric of her jeans. She looked up and saw Mrs Tuan’s piercing gaze, her gaze that will always look like she can see right through anyone. She needed to come out, she needed to tell Mrs Tuan everything but she couldn’t. It wasn’t easy.

“Well… we fought, Mark and I” Yoojin answered after having a long moment to keep her thoughts together. Mrs Tuan nodded slowly, urging her to continue. “I said some things, Mark did as well and then we couldn’t control it anymore and Mark left. I don’t know where but he left”

A knock came and Ms Baek entered the room and sat beside her daughter. “He’s with Jaebum. The Im’s just informed Hayoung” Ms Baek told Mrs Tuan and looked at her daughter who sighed in relief after knowing that he was safe.

There was a silent pause after that. Mrs Tuan tapped her finger lightly on her cup, Ms Baek continued to throw worried glances at her daughter and Yoojin was drifting into thoughts. Finally Ms Baek spoke up, “was it really that bad? The fight between you and Mark?”

Yoojin shrugged. She wasn’t sure. To her it was pretty messed up but she could’ve been just over-reacting. She could’ve been the one who was thinking too much once again.

“We made plans, Mr Tuan and I. We break of the company plans which meant that the Li’s are… kapoof as well”

Yoojin now understood why Sara was getting so riled up during school. They broke off the wedding, they broke off the contract. Yoojin hurt Sara instead of helping. Is there actually anything that Yoojin can do instead of hurting others?

“That means you two can be together. You guys can be happy together. You and Mark wanted that right?” Mrs Tuan didn’t wait for an answer assuming that there was no need for her to hear it because she already knows it, “can’t you guys just make up? I’m sure it’s just the usual mini love-fights between teens. I had some before when I was your age. You’re the same aren’t you?” Mrs Tuan looked at Ms Baek who lightly laughed after remembering such memories but then she stopped when Yoojin grabbed her hand.

“I’m sorry, but… I don’t think Mark and I can be together again” Yoojin mumbled, looking at Mrs Tuan with glassy eyes. She had come to a conclusion; she knows that after everything that had happened, even if there were many happy memories, it was just not meant to be. Judging from what Mark had said and thought, Yoojin believes that she isn’t the only one who thinks so.

Mrs Tuan didn’t say anything. She placed her cup down and after a few minutes of silent she told the mother and daughter to go since it was late and they needed sleep. Yoojin happily obliged and left the room without waiting for her mother, scared that she might burst into tears if she sees another Tuan.

The next day Yoojin was too scared to wake up and go downstairs. She was afraid to see Mark, she wouldn’t know what she’ll do if they had a face-to-face while they were at the place where the commotion happened. Hayoung had already started on breakfast since Yoojin slightly slept in. She assured the younger that Mark wasn’t there and to quickly wash up because she might be late to school.

Then she was at school, and she just had to bump into JB on the way to class.

The morning bell had already gone off and the students were all running all over the place to get to their classes before their teacher get there first. Yoojin quietly cussed when the students were pushing her out of the way. Being a small girl she had no choice but to be pushed around and didn’t even think about fighting her way through since she had no energy to do so.

A male student called out to his friend and bumped shoulders with Yoojin sending her to fly to the ground. Her legs became an obstacle and nobody even bothered to help her up and stepped around her, but one didn’t see her and tripped over her legs.

Yoojin apologised millions of times and helped the student up, only to see JB’s face scrunched up in pain. He noticed that it was her as well and quickly cleared his throat and look away. She was about to open , not to ask about Mark but to apologise for not telling him about Sara, about the bullies, for not telling him anything but JB shook his head and released her grip on him.

“Go to class Yoojin. We’ll speak later” Yoojin couldn’t brush off the coldness that coated his voice. She let him go and watched his disappearing figure with a heavy, guilty heart.

Since Nayeon was in her class Yoojin didn’t really want to enter but she had to, besides their teacher caught her peeking on the side.

Nayeon caught her eye and sent her a small smile of reassurance but instead of feeling assured, Yoojin felt even more horrible. Her group of friends were always trying their best to show their kindness and Yoojin knows that she didn’t deserve even the slightest bit of it.

Yoojin had a thought of not facing her friends during lunch, but she had to, she had to apologise, she had to tell them everything… and had to say her goodbyes. Yoojin and her mother were talking the night before since both couldn’t sleep. Yoojin remembered her mother asking if she was comfortable with staying at the place and of course, Yoojin said no.

Call her a coward but she just really can’t face Mark and not feel like the biggest and most selfish idiot in the whole world. They had an idea, a plan. Both owed the Tuans’ so much already that it wasn’t countable anymore. The Tuans’ had helped them massively and even Ms Baek couldn’t help but to feel even more useless.

She was supposed to be a mother to Yoojin, she was supposed to be the one that can take care of Yoojin but they were both leaning on the Tuans’ shoulder and gaining their help carelessly.

They both decided that it was enough, that they had caused enough trouble. The plan could only go on if Yoojin said yes, if Yoojin could handle letting go easily. Right now, Yoojin’s brain was 50/50 on both yes and no.

“It’s all true what Bambam said, and about Sara’s sickness and about what we planned during the winter holidays but of course I was too selfish and decided on being with Mark once again and dumping Sara out on the cold” the words came out quickly but clearly even if Yoojin was looking down on the ground, she couldn’t look at her friends in the eye.

The eleven people that surrounded her blinked and breathe but didn’t say anything. No one moved, no one spoke.

“But the rumours weren’t from me” Yoojin added, she looked up to assure her friends that she was telling the truth. “I swear, I could never, ever do such thing”

Jackson patted her shoulder, he was the first to give her warmth but saying hi to her inbetween first and second session a good two hours ago and now he was the first to touch her. The others were acting as if she was a burning fire and stood far away from her as possible.

“It’s okay Yoojin. We… well I knew that it wasn’t you”

“No you didn’t. I remember you telling me the other day that you thou-”

Yugyeom’s words were blocked from Jackson who brought a hand in front of the extremely taller male’s mouth, muffling his upcoming words. Jackson let out a small nervous chuckle but Yoojin didn’t feel offended, of course they would have at some point think she was somehow behind those rumours.

“The bullies?” Jisoo asked.

“And the bullying part is true as well… I just wanted to protect you guys”

“Protect us?” Jisoo let out a scoff; she showed the reaction that both Mark and Bambam gave. Yoojin lowered her eyes once again, feeling even more stupid. “We don’t need you to ing protect us, thank you very much mum

She received a sharp slap on the arm by Nayeon who didn’t care that the person she hit was crying out in pain. “What she meant was, we’re fine on our own Yoojin. We’re big enough”

“But still. I wanted to do something for you guys for once. You all always protected me, you all helped me, you all made me happy and relaxed in such a foreign place but I can’t give you anything. I can’t do anything”

That left the group of friends to look at each other before looking back at Yoojin who was shaking for some unknown reason.

“But you made us together again” Youngjae said, pointing at each and every one of the eleven student that stood side by side, “we were broken because of Sara, we’re now together because of you”

“Yeah noona!” Yugyeom grinned, Jackson had already released his mouth ages ago, “and you were like some vitamin. Always making us happy and smiling. You gave us strength noona”

“And you put up with Jackson” Jr got a glare from the male he mentioned but he shrugged it off and played innocent.

JB shook his head at his friends, even at serious moments they always managed to muck around and tease each other like little kids. “What we’re saying Yoojin, is that your important”

His voice was pretty quiet due to the fight between Jackson and the ten others who were making fun of him, leaving the poor guy to make a fuss and stomp his feet claiming that life was unfair to him. Yoojin managed to hear what JB say and said her thanks.

Her cheeks rosy from all the things that they told her. She never thought about  things that way until today, even if sometimes Mark and Bambam always told her it didn’t really mean much until today since they were all nodding and agreeing to what was said.

It felt nice, it made her heart flip over from their kind words but know she felt more certain. Her mind 60/40, with 60 going for yes.

She felt like now, since they were together, happy as one they deserve to remain happy and together. If she stayed there, she had a feeling that everything will disappear and she didn’t want that, she knows that they don’t either. Got7 and 6Mix are like family, but the bond was fragile from being broken once already. It could be broken once again in no time. Yoojin doesn’t want that to happen.

“What about Mark?” JB asked her. Yoojin shrugged her shoulders lightly. What he said from yesterday were some pretty harsh stuff and it stayed in Yoojin’s mind.

She didn’t know what to think about that, but it just shows that it was true about what Yoojin thought. There ‘relationship’ isn’t magnificent at all. Fairy-tales don’t happen in real life, Yoojin was sure about that now.

70/30…

“I need to tell you guys something in advance” Yoojin hollered. The friends stopped making fun of Jackson and the mood immediately went down when they saw the seriousness in Yoojin’s face.

“I might… might…” Yoojin closed her eyes for a split second and swallowed away the lump on , “I might need to say goodbye”

Mark brought his legs together while he sat down on JB’s bed. Mrs Im poked her head inside a few minutes ago, asking Mark if he wanted anything to eat so she could make him something before she head for work. Mark kindly shook his head and wished Mrs Im a safe drive to her workplace. He chose not to go to school. He didn’t want to see Yoojin, not yet, he wasn’t ready to do so yet and he doesn’t know when he will have the balls to do so.

His phone vibrated beside him and he looked at his caller id, groaning inwardly when he saw it was his mother.

His mum called him nonstop last night and he didn’t once answer any of her calls beside he would most likely be scolded and he didn’t need anyone to pour any more fuel to the fire because he felt like he will explode soon with all the confusion and anger building up inside of him. But this time, there was no way to hide to his mum any longer so he answered the call with the phone a good centimetres away from his ear just to be cautious of his mother’s yelling.

“Mark?” instead of an angry shout, his mother’s voice was soft and calm and it made Mark crease his forehead, confused. “You didn’t go to school”

Right, the school must’ve called his mum for not turning up today. Mark hummed lightly as a reply and his mum sighed at that.

Mark doesn’t know if his mum knows anything about Yoojin and him. He didn’t know if anyone told her, but even if no one did, he didn’t want to be the one that tells her. He cleared his throat after thinking of an excuse for his absence and for not coming home the night before. “Mum yesterday I was—“

“I don’t need to hear it” Mrs Tuan cut in. Mark could hear her ruffling up some papers on the other side of the line. “I need to tell you something. Your father and I need your answer before we could come up with a solution”

Mark nodded slowly, forgetting that his mum couldn’t see him but it was like a mother-and-son instinct, because Mrs Tuan went on after his action. “You and Yoojin…”

“We’re done” Mark told his mum, remembering what he and Yoojin talked about last time.

Just with hearing her name made his blood boil. He still thought that Yoojin didn’t like him, well as much as he thought she did. He felt so… cheated and played. He hated the feeling. He hated it when people played with him like some toy. Mark had already experienced this before, and having to feel it twice felt horrible and now he understood why people had trust issues.

“Yoojin said the same thing” Mrs Tuan mumbled and that was when Mark knew that his mother knows everything. “She said you will never be together once again”

That made Mark scoff out loud. If that was what Yoojin thinks then he thought the same. He told himself millions of times to get over it already because Yoojin didn’t seem to care. She agreed to leave each other, she let him walk away… she didn’t care.

Yoojin never cared, Yoojin will never care. He was the only one going crazy, once again. Mark mentally cursed in his mind. Once again he was the only one playing stupid because of some feelings that he had no control of.

‘ love’

Mrs Tuan sighed slowly, “We cancelled your contract with Sara Li”

Mark closed his eyes then he thought about it. Call him selfish but now… now he just wanted to feel love. He wanted to be the one the other person is going crazy for instead of it being the opposite ways. Sara was like Yoojin two years ago, they played him, let him go even if he wasn’t ready for it but Sara changed. It became the opposite way. Sara was almost blinded, not caring about anything and only wanting Mark. He wanted to be with someone that cares about him.

“Don’t” Mark said. The words came out shaky and uncertain but he sat up and cleared his throat. “don’t” he replied and now this time it was clear as crystal and flowed out of his mouth like water.

Maybe it was the rage that was making him go mad. He would have never thought that in his life he was telling his parents to not cancel his arranged marriage with someone that he had so much grudge on. But Mark was so desperate and he had nowhere to go to except for Sara.

“Mark wha—”

“—I mean it mum. Keep the contract, don’t cancel it” the words came out quickly making him sound so desperate but he threw his pride just for this. Mrs Tuan was mumbling some words on the other side of the line. Mark couldn’t really pinpoint what she was saying but he could tell that his mother was spurting out hundreds of question out of confusion.

“I’m going to be with Sara” that was the last thing that Mark said before he hang up. He threw his body down on JB’s bed and lay down with his arm over his eyes.

He couldn’t ignore the whirlpool 1that was happening in his tummy and mind and the racing heart on his chest. He just felt all over the place but he couldn’t back down, he couldn’t take back his words. He forced himself not to call his mum and tell her to forget what he said. Mark had already decided, and that was what everyone wanted anyway.

☺☺☺☺☺☺☺

Ms Baek smiled at her daughter after opening up the main door for her. Yoojin hugged her mum the moment she saw him, telling her that she said all the things she wanted, all the thoughts, all the apologies, all the secrets she kept hidden and Ms Baek whispered assuring words to her daughter, telling her how proud she was and that everything will be alright.

“You got my text?” Yoojin asked her mum after she changed out of her uniform and was now helping her mum unpack the groceries that Hayoung bought a few minutes ago who went to her room to dump her handbag and get into comfortable clothes.

Ms Baek nodded, “I met an old friend, she would be glad to offer us a roof and I applied both of us to the café near her place”

Yoojin was still unsure but they had to have plans just in case and it was good that her mother liked being organised and whipped up something in such a short time. Of course, her mother never failed to impress her.

Mrs Tuan came down the stairs hurriedly after hearing Yoojin’s voice. She was taking two steps at a time and the mother and daughter were both afraid that she might hurt herself so they met her at the bottom of the flight of stairs in case an accident might happen.

“Yoojin” Mrs Tuan sounded so breathless, her cheeks going rosy from the workout she just had. Yoojin stepped forward and offered a hand to Mrs Tuan since the lady said she felt dizzy while Ms Baek went and grabbed some water.

Mrs Tuan gulped a one-shot glass-filled of water and looked at Yoojin, eyes wide. “I talked to Mark” Yoojin felt herself go slightly weak with the mention of his name. She didn’t know why, but all she wanted right then was to see him, she uncontrollably missed him and it was making her go mad at herself.

“I told him what I told you last night, about the plan that Mr Tuan and I made, about the Li’s and stuff” Mrs Tuan continued, “and he… he rejected the offer” Mrs Tuan reached to touch Yoojin to give her reassuring pats, “he want to marry Sara”

Yoojin looked down on the floor. So it looked like he moved on. He was quick, but it wasn’t surprising. From what Mark said the day before, it looked like he was truly angry. Yoojin can never make him happy, because in the end Yoojin is never enough for him. She wanted this to happen but her heart was squeezing tightly in her chest and she was having troubles breathing.

“He…he… he didn’t even hesitate” Mrs Tuan ran a hand through her messed up hair, “I don’t get it. I don’t understand” Mrs Tuan kept talking, saying how she would talk to Mark once he had calmed down, she told Yoojin not to worry because she’ll work something out, she said that Yoojin and him will be back together but Yoojin wasn’t listening anymore.

She threw her mother a look and Ms Baek tried to read her thoughts through her eyes and it took her couple of moments until her mother finally nodded.

100

It took about 2 hours to tell Mrs Tuan everything and pack their stuff. Ms Baek assured Mrs Tuan that she will continue to clean their home until the week end. Then she told her that she will pay her back everything that they owed her once she got her money. Ms Baek told Mrs Tuan that if they needed anything they can always call her and she’ll be there in a flash.

Mrs Tuan leant against the door and watched as the mother and daughter cleaned the room they stayed in. The lady didn’t know why but she was getting emotional. They haven’t spent a long time together, but they felt like family to her. They had helped her and her family and house so much that she didn’t know how to thank them fully.

“I made some of your favourites” Ms Baek threw a cheeky grin at Mrs Tuan, “they’re in the fridge it you want them. Make sure to heat them”

Mrs Tuan let out a small laugh and nodded, “I’ll make sure to share them with the kids” Mrs Tuan always liked calling her employees kids but no one ever complains because she really did feel like their mother, always taking care of them and making sure they were comfortable.

Ms Baek disappeared downstairs with Sehun who helped with the luggage. The taxi that they rang was supposed to come a few minutes then and they were all moving the stuff down the driveway and waited for their vehicle. Sehun offered to deliver some stuff to their new place during the week so Ms Baek and Yoojin only packed their clothes and some appliances to keep them for the day and the one after.

Mrs Tuan enveloped Yoojin when the young girl walked past her. “Are you sure about this?” Yoojin closed her eyes and smelt the familiar warm vanilla smell that Mrs Tuan always had on her then she found herself nodding but it was a sincere nod. She actually regretted not doing this earlier, she regretted not leaving when her feelings for Mark wasn’t that big because right now she was slightly second-guessing herself.

Yoojin broke away from the hug, “the uniform is drying on the line Mrs Tuan. Thank you for allowing me to go to school” All of her school stuff had been returned, which are most useless and besides it was nearing the end of the school year.

“No, it’s okay” Mrs Tuan sent her a warm smile, “why don’t you stay until the school year ends?”

Yoojin shook her head, “I’m sorry but I don’t think I can do that… I’m too scared to” Yoojin tried her best to sound casual but the laugh she tried to let out sounded small and forced.

Mrs Tuan offered her an envelope and with one glance Yoojin already knew what was inside. She quickly shook her head and tried to return it back to Mrs Tuan but the lady took her hand and placed it on her palm. “It’s payment for working here okay? you both deserve this, if not more”

Yoojin opened to retort but Mrs Tuan winked at her and patted her head, “you take care okay. Take good care of your mother as well”

Yoojin nodded and saw the clock on the wall. The taxi was coming soon and Mrs Tuan knew that to that’s why she stepped back and allowed the girl to grab the suitcase she had for her clothes and dragged it down the stairs.

Mrs Tuan stayed on the floor they were previously on, not knowing how to go down the stairs and say her goodbye to Ms Baek who felt more like an old friend rather than a worker.

Mrs Tuan felt a tear slipped down her cheeks and she wiped it away. She didn’t want to cry, she had no reasons to cry. They will  to be okay, they will be  safe and happy, that’s all Mrs Tuan wanted. She found herself walked to her bedroom, not wanting to see Yoojin’s leaving back because she could feel more tears form in her eyes. She closed the door behind her and sat down on the chair. She hoped that wherever the mother and daughter will be, that they know how thankful she was of them.

Mark returned home, after Mrs Tuan sent him a text a good five hours ago saying that they needed to see each other to talk. He really didn’t want to but he found himself getting out of the taxi in front of his house, only to see Sehun talk to Ms Baek with cases and boxes near their feet in front of the gate, facing the main road.

Ms Baek caught his eyes and she gave him a small smile, bowing down to him. “thank you young master” her voice was soft and sad, Mark felt a weird feeling in his heart. Ms Baek and him had another eye contact, “remain safe and charming”

Mark didn’t know what that exactly meant but he had an idea, and it wasn’t something that he liked.

He had never ran so fast in his whole life but he was sprinting across the front garden to the front door of his home with speed that he never knew he had. He threw the door open and saw Yoojin having trouble with bringing down a huge suitcase down the stairs. He stopped in his tracks to catch his breath, but he knew that the reason why he was so breathless wasn’t because he was running but because of the sight in front of him.

Yoojin heard him, Yoojin saw him but she tried her best to busy herself with the suitcase. She didn’t know why she couldn’t face him, but she just couldn’t lift her head up.

Finally she reached the end and she grinned at her achievement but the smile immediately disappeared when Mark spoke up.

“You’re smiling?” His voice sounded so hurt that Yoojin felt guilty. She cleared and finally found the courage to look up. His eyes stared her down, like he was mentally gluing her down to the floor and like magic it worked, Yoojin didn’t move an inch and she hated the fact that she was being controlled over.

“You didn’t have enough sleep at JB’s?” Yoojin pointed out, trying to break off the suffocating air between them, “you look like a panda with those dark circles” She laughed at her own joke but even to her, her laugh sounded so dry.

“yeah, I wonder who might be at fault of my lack of sleep” Mark crossed his arms and stepped forward but stopped when he was Yoojin stepped back as if she was avoiding him, “or am I the only one who was thinking about what happened? I guess I’m the only one who actually gives a damn about what happened… once again”

Yoojin shook her head, it was enough. If she stuck around any longer she didn’t know what she might say, she didn’t know if her decision might waver, she didn’t know what she will do. Sehun’s voice was heard from outside, calling her over to tell her that the taxi was there. She thanked him mentally, he had saved her.

Without a word she gripped onto the suitcase’s handle and dragged it out behind her but before she could fully exit, Mark grabbed onto the suitcase when it went past him.

He moved his body to face her but she didn’t, Yoojin remained looking at the front that meant Mark could only see her back. Once again, he was the one who sees the back of the one he had memories with. Once again he was being left behind. It made Mark cursed out loud and he saw Yoojin flinch at his sudden outburst.

Sehun called her once again and it snapped Yoojin out of her daze. “Let go Mark. I need to go”

“You’re leaving me” he whispered out coldly, words like spears going through her heart, “you coward”

Yoojin closed her eyes and tugged on her suitcase but Mark didn’t budge and even gripped tighter on the item and it made Yoojin look back. Oh how she regretted looking back because Mark looked so lost, she just wanted to wrap her arms around him but she had to bite down that thought and cleared .

“I told mum that I’m going to marry Sara” Mark told her. Yoojin already knew that, of course she did and she hated him for bringing it back again. She wanted to forget it, she didn’t want to be reminded of his decision but Mark was acting like he was testing her but she remained her stance and let him say whatever he wants and did her best to tune him out.

“Are you…” he gulped before continuing, “happy now?”

Yoojin let out a breath. Why would he ask such a thing? Was he that stupid? Why would he ask if she was happy that he wanted to be with another person? But then she remembered that it was all she wanted; for Mark and Sara to be together. She should be happy but she wasn’t and she hated that.

But Yoojin nodded slowly, “I’m happy” It was a fib but even Yoojin shocked herself with how precise and cold her answer it. It threw Mark outback as well and he let go of her suitcase, his jaw clenched.

Yoojin found herself gasping for air when she saw Mark step back and let her go. She wanted so badly to grab her and hug her then tell her not to go because honestly, if Mark did that, then she would cancel everything. But Mark looked like he was letting her go… no, Yoojin had let him go ages ago and now Mark was agreeing to what she wanted and Yoojin felt a huge pain swallowing her up as a whole.

With a heavy heart, eyes glassy making her eyesight blurry, Yoojin dragged her suitcase outside to where her mother was waiting for her, all the stuff had already been loaded inside the vehicle. Yoojin let Sehun take her suitcase and Ms Baek hugged her daughter and kissed her temple.

“It will be okay. You’ll be okay”

Yoojin wished that her mother was right.

I'm speechless with mix emotions..however the story is great before the ending...huhuhuhu my heart broke into a million pieces it's like watching a drama with an ending that we didn't suspect and I hate it...I'm sorry but still tho the whole thing with Mark is better... hahahhaha
