♥~Chapter Forty-Three~♥

His Personal Maid

Extremely long chapter!!!

It was a new day – a fresh new start and everything that had happened a few hours ago were now all past. Mark was hoping that it was all past. He was flustered with the fact that Yoojin ignored him the night before, not even a single eye contact, no exchange of sentence except for ‘pass that to me will you’ when Yoojin wanted to put seasoning in her dinner, pointing at the salt and pepper shaker in front of Mark’s seat, which was by the way so far away from her that it was no use to hide the fact that it was deliberately planned.

He woke looking at his other roommates, Yugyeom and Bambam who shared a bed of their own and was still fast asleep. The morning was still early, way too early for Mark to be awake since his usual ‘mornings’ would be around eleven to one o’clock at noon.

He figured he was probably too excited, excited to what will happen during the day or maybe he was just happy that night had passed because he couldn’t get enough sleep due to worries about Yoojin. Who knew a girl could make the legendary Mark Tuan up all night, the legendary Mark Tuan who would never give his precious sleep to. For sure, Yoojin was an exception for all the things impossible.

Mark had finished showering and clothing. His hand ruffled his wet hair messily as he walked out of the en-suite that’s been adjoined to his room. The youngest out of the three, well the whole group of friends, slowly sat up, waking up because of Mark as beads of water from his hair sprayed onto the maknae’s face. The youngest snarled underneath his breath then immediately shut up when he looked up to see the older glaring at him.

“You’re awake early” Yugyeom commented casually like before hadn’t happened.

“I’d like to say the same thing for you” Mark responded, going over to his bag to slap on some moisturiser onto his dried skin from the cold weather.

“Well we all know who’s behind it” Yugyeom cupped his mouth as if he had said something that he didn’t, then quickly went under the covers to meet the eyes of the older who was, again, glaring at him with lasers coming out of his eyes. A small laugh came out of his mouth; he thought his dongsaeng was cute, even if he did get on his nerves.

“You know… with your noona…” Mark was one layering his clothes, getting ready to head downstairs and out of his heated bedroom. Even if Yugyeom was lying down, he kind of had a feeling that he was still awake and he was right.

“Who? Yoojin noona?” Yugyeom was slightly muffled due to the thick duvet. “Yeah, do you perhaps know what’s up with her? I mean during dinner last night she was kind of…”

“Ignoring you?” the younger offered and he swore he had chills down his spine when he could literally feel Mark’s icy stare through the duvet.

“Whatever, I guess you’re right anyway” Mark shut his bag and stood up, walking to the body mirror to check his outfit then snorted at the result. The fact that they were at the coastline didn’t help the freezing weather, of course Mark knew it would be worse, but not this worse.

Mark found it hard to lift his arm up because of the amount of layers he had, his stomach looked a lot larger as well. He found himself looking like a duck. He waddled because it was hard to move with the amount of layers he was wearing and it was even harder to move his limbs. It was a lot better than freezing to death however, so Mark pushed the thought behind of being Donald Duck 2.0.

“Anyway, I was wondering if you know anything because she seems to be closer to you than anyone else” Mark looked at the maknae who was now out of the duvet looking like he wanted to take a shower already and wash up but really didn’t want to as well.

“No, she didn’t say anything to me” Yugyeom answered, looking distracted. “Is it better to have a shower this early or what? Oh and try asking Bambam, you know that they know each other like the back of their palm. I bet Bambam knows something—”

“Showering early is better, get it over and done with” Mark interrupted, not being in the mood to talk about Bambam.

He didn’t like the fact of being constantly reminded that his friend was the girl that he liked first love. He didn’t like the fact that his friend knew the girl he liked way better than he did. He didn’t like the fact that his friend liked the same girl that he did. He didn’t like anything that had anything to do with the connection of his friend and the girl he liked.

When Mark entered the kitchen, he found out that the girls had already invaded the place – cooking and making breakfast for 18 people did need a lot of hands with the lack of time.

During dinner the night before, they had already decided to head to the amusement park that JB saw a few kilometres away. It was said that it was open early in the morning where most people don’t come till late at night. The group decided that it will be the best choice to go there instead of going somewhere in the afternoon where the place is packed and they would barely have opportunities on rides.

“Ah, of course, now they start to come once we finished cooking” Jukyung rolled her eyes when she saw Mark leaning on the wall, watching them quietly, well Yoojin quietly but no one needed to know. He gave Jukyung a big smile then started to walk towards them, wanting to help.

“Get a helping hand with setting up the table Sara-ssi. I’ll head up to wake the boys” Yoojin told Sara quickly when she saw in the corner of her eyes that Mark was coming towards her. Sara squinted her eyes at the girl, not liking being ordered but the other puckered her lip slightly behind her as an indication then whizzed past her.

“Mark will lend a helping hand” Lena patted the guy’s shoulder. Mark in the other hand tried to grab Yoojin’s attention by standing in her way, as a little joke to create a smile on her face. He thought that she would play along, or maybe pout then laugh with him, but Yoojin’s reaction was completely different.

She stepped back, and then turned to go the other way. Mark quickly grabbed her shoulder to stop her; he desperately pulled her back making the girl swear under her breath.

“Good morning!” A nervous laugh escaped his lips. Lena had already brought her hand next to her side once again and Sara, as well as the other girls, was trying hard not to stare at the scene.

“Yeah…” Yoojin whispered. She looked up at Mark, giving him a small smile. Then she was away from him once again, escaping to the second floor.

Mark wanted to go after her but Sara stood in front of him, “help me” Mark let out a sigh then made a mental note to himself to make time for a private chat with Yoojin.

He nodded, Yoojin wanted someone to help Sara anyway, he was secretly hoping that Yoojin would see him helping her than tell him that he was doing a good job, or a thank you, or show him a really bright smile.

But she didn’t do any of that.

When Yoojin came back while Mark was in the middle of setting the table with Sara, she glanced at them, then at Mark who had his mouth open ready to tell her something then Yoojin clutched onto the Got7’s leader, joking around and telling him that he was drooling when she went into his room.

Mark could only eat his food quietly. What he thought when he woke up in the morning didn’t really happen, the complete opposite did.

Everything that had happened during dinner the night before replayed. Yoojin ignored him; Sara was at his side once again who was trying hard to get his attention. Yoojin talked to the others, laughing with them as if nothing was happening, as if she wasn’t having a hard time like Mark was.

Maybe she wasn’t having a hard time, maybe Mark was suffering alone. He stabbed his food, why was he the only one having troubles to ease up and join in the laughter and jokes? Why was he the only one trying to commence a conversation between Yoojin and him? Mark felt that it was unfair that the feelings weren’t so much mutual.

That Yoojin was ignoring him and acting like he was invisible without any reasons, well without telling him the reasons why. Mark was trying to figure out if he did anything wrong, if he said something that upset her. He was trying to think up ways to see what type of apology she would accept. He might not know the reason, but whatever it was he was willing to say sorry to it because he couldn’t handle not being acknowledged by Yoojin.

“It’s weird seeing you awake earlier than the others” Sara told him, drinking a glass of water afterwards.

“I think the others were awake too. They just didn’t get out of bed because it was cold” Mark responded, leaning back. His appetite was gone and he didn’t feel like eating anymore, he didn’t feel like doing anything at all.

“Yoojin told me that the others were still fast asleep when she came to their room. You are the first one awake”

“I guess so” Mark shrugged, “you seem close to her. Yoojin doesn’t really tell anyone useless things that other don’t need to know about unless she feels comfortable with them”

Sara shook her head, looking at Yoojin’s direction who was listening carefully at Jr who was in the middle of telling a story of what had happened the first time he went to an amusement park. “I asked her. I was curious. She didn’t tell me because she wanted to, I asked her because I wanted to know”

“Even to people that she doesn’t like she still answers their questions and queries. Of course, that’s the type of girl that drawn me with a snap of a finger” a small smile tugged on the boy’s lips. Somehow it was a sad smile to Sara’s eyes.

“She doesn’t hate me as much as you think she does”

“Oh yeah?”

“Yeah. She agreed to be roommates” Sara informed him. She slightly hated it when the moment she said that Mark focused on their conversation.

It was like he will never pay attention to what people say unless it was something that actually interest him, or something that was important. Mark focused on Sara because she has now a connection with Yoojin rather than being a connection of the ex and the current girl of Mark’s.

But what really made Mark focus was now that he thought about it, Yoojin was completely fine before the girls and the guys separated to go into their beach house, to go into their rooms and unpacked. They came together to eat dinner after they finished packing and that was when Yoojin became different towards him. It meant that whatever the cause of her acting the way she is with him had something to do with what happened before it, and before dinner Yoojin was most likely with Sara the most.

Mark looked at Sara straight in the eye. He had thoughts, bad thoughts about Sara that he wanted to clear by asking questions, but then it would be like he was eating her up with assumptions and fictions.

If Sara did have something to make Yoojin act the way she was, then he don’t think the slight hatred he had for her would die out any sooner.

“What?” Sara blinked at him, feeling uncomfortable under his stare. He wanted to ask her but he didn’t feel like he had the right to. Mark wanted to find out if she knew why Yoojin was acting the way she is but he couldn’t for unknown reason. The boy could only bite his tongue and hold the questions back. He shook his head then looked at Yoojin’s direction only to catch her already staring at him.

They were back in the cars once again. The groups remained the same, Jackson stayed at Nayeon’s car. He said that it was a lot comfortable than the other one and the people riding there with him actually talked to him rather than sleep or talk to themselves. Of course, the famous Wang loved attention.

Mark had already asked if Yoojin was alright, he saw her fidget in her seat and tried her best to look normal. He slightly cringed seeing her look so awkward. “Yeah, I’m perfectly fine” Yoojin smiled at him, clearing when her voice cracked.

Totally” Mark said sarcastically, but he didn’t want to push it any longer.

“I’m waiting Yoojin” He leaned his head back onto the seat, “I’m waiting for you to tell me. Just please know that I’ll be waiting”

Yoojin nodded at his direction, even if Mark already had his eyes closed.

They stood near the entrance, unsure of what to do or where to go. There weren’t a lot of people but it wasn’t because it was in the morning, more likely because of the weather. Not a lot of people would think of going to an amusement park in the middle of winter, especially at one that isn’t big or popular like Lotte World. The group of friends were just surprised to actually find one near the coastline.

“There are two sides. This side and the other side has all water games stuff, but they closed that down because its winter obviously” Youngjae read out loud at what was written on the leaflet that Jeongyeon was holding.

“Of course, it’s winter obviously” Cecilia rubbed her arms to create heat as she looked around.

“it’s a good thing actually, there’s not a lot of people” Jr smiled down at the child that walked passed them who gave him a small giggle before looking up at her parents who sent Jr weird looks and hurried away.

 “Then let’s go?”

Everyone nodded at Bambam’s suggestion then ran inside like little kids after eating sugar.

Mark, Yoojin, Sara, Bambam and Jackson walked together to the café right away, wanting to drink something warm or else they would freeze to death. They sat down and stared at the ride that the other 6Mix member went on.

They were on seats that rotated quickly as it rises up the sky. Mark and Jackson were bursting out in laughter when the ride reached its and the speed quickened at abnormal speed. The screams of the people on the rides, especially their friends, could be heard over the glass window and over the café music that blasted throughout the place by some tired worker who didn’t look like she enjoyed being here in the first place.

Yoojin joined in the giggles when the ride slowed down and 6Mix looked dead on their seat, hands useless clutching the supporting arms of their seats. The rest of Got7 where somewhere else, probably somewhere stuffing their mouth with food, in which Yoojin found out that they really were. She separated with Mark and the others and came with Jackson to walk around the place.

Got7 were caught red-handed eating corndogs and hotdogs. Yugyeom who spotted them sent the two a peace sign and continued eating. Yoojin shook their heads, it was like they didn’t even eat breakfast which two hours hadn’t even passed.

It was reaching noon soon and Yoojin realised she haven’t been in any rides. Because she had a slight fear of height she didn’t want to go on the ones that the others went too. She found herself waiting in line with Youngjae, Jackson, Bambam and JB for the spinning cups.

Her tummy already felt funny as she watched the group ahead of them go onto the cups and the ride started to turn. She wasn’t even on the ride yet but she already felt sick, she worried that she would actually puke during the ride. Youngjae disappeared somewhere saying that he’ll make a mission for them to do. JB on the other hand was cracking his knuckles.

“I’m with you right?” Yoojin asked him.

JB nodded not looking up, “why don’t you want to be with your best buddies? The kids, you know, Jackson and Bambam – aka dumb and dumber”

“Funny” Yoojin sent him a sarcastic smile even if he didn’t see it, “I trust you the most. I trust you not to puke on me. I have a feeling that Bambam will if I go on the same ride as him”

Bambam, who was standing a few feet away from them turned his head and shot her a look, Yoojin returned his look adding a stuck of her tongue. Yoojin watched as JB smirked seeing the two squabbled then looked at his right when a girl that came down from the ride walked in front of him. Yoojin saw him look at her from top to bottom then look away then look back at her again.

She slung her arms around him, “aigoo. Our grandpa is checking a girl out~” Yoojin continued to and JB blushed in embarrassment.

Bambam thought that the other group that took the same ride with Jackson and him were pretty amazing. Youngjae, JB and Yoojin stayed at the ride for a long time while Jackson and him had to stop in the very middle of it, middle means 30 seconds after getting on it. Mark and the others were watching them go on the ride.  Yugyeom rubbed Bambam’s back when he felt like vomiting, Jackson did on the nearby bin after nearly dropping his sick in front of Lena. While they were on the spinning cup, the others were on the bumper cars.

Yoojin was laughing as she dragged JB down the ride with Youngjae on the other side of him. JB was weak, he couldn’t even stand on his own yet alone walk so Yoojin had to use every muscle in her body to help him get to the nearest bench, Got7 members were far from being gentleman and let her do it without helping her.

“Hyung, what’s up?” Bambam and Jackson went to the leader who was lying down on the bench to relieve his sickness. The leader grunted and tried to push away his dongsaengs but they wouldn’t leave him so he gave up on using his strength.

“What are you doing?” Bambam asked him again, liking the fact that the leader was getting annoyed.

“Photosynthesising” his answer came out as a tired slur as JB pointed up the sky.

Jackson snorted as the leader’s bad joke.

“Alright alright you got me” the leader had a different smile on his face when he felt his playfulness reappearing.  “I’m presenting a ‘natural man’”

“Oh you must mean a homeless man”

Jackson high-fived his friend for the joke. Bambam, being the creator smiled proudly. It wasn’t until he saw Yoojin and Mark walking next to each other. Mark was trying to talk to her but Yoojin wasn’t listening to him, or was talking over him to interrupt whatever he was saying.

Bambam noticed Yoojin’s sudden weird behaviour; he saw her deliberately moving away from him, he saw her deliberately talk to someone else when Mark was around. Even though he should be happy that Yoojin wasn’t paying attention to Mark, or always be beside him, he didn’t like it, it didn’t feel right.

While he waited impatiently in the line for the people that were on the bumper cars to finish, Mark had a big grin on his face out of excitement. He was acting like a child high on sugar. It’s been a while since he went to an amusement park, it’s been a while since he ran around the place, laughing and having fun in rides – he felt free.

Mark suddenly missed his younger days when everything was all happy and carefree, when he didn’t need to worry about such massive things, especially girls. Talking about girls, he was still unsure about his situation with Yoojin, but he thought that it could wait, fun comes first right? He’ll have time to make it up to her, for whatever mistake he did – even if he was sure he did nothing – hopefully it would be good enough.

“It’s partnered right?” Yugyeom asked Jisoo who was leaning against a pole, watching the group that’s still having their fun time hitting each other’s cars.

“Yeah, or solo. I don’t think it matters” she answered, raising her voice so that it could still be heard over the excited screams from the people.

Mark, who was standing behind them, looked around – he had no partner. He already knew that his friends are already partnered together even if they didn’t talk about it. Lena and Cecilia are together, Jr and Nayeon, Jukyung and Jeongyeon and the maknaes – Yugyeom and Jisoo; the missing members went to other rides.

Someone tapped Mark’s shoulder’s lightly making him look behind his shoulders only to see a smiling Sara who waved at him.

“No partner right?” Sara looked around him, “I’ll go with you”

Before Mark could answer Sara, to tell her that he would just go solo, the people behind him were pushing him to enter the place since it was their turn already. Mark became powerless and let himself be dragged by Sara, sitting down on the closest car from them.

“Safety first” Mark huffed, placing the safety belt on him then looked over to see if Sara had hers on. His gaze then flickered to his friends who had dangerous glint in their eyes as they eye each other knowingly. Mark could tell that they were planning something fishy.

Once the ride started, Mark didn’t notice that the awkwardness that he had around Sara, disappeared. He became so focus on attacking his friends and getting his revenge since they were ganging up on him, which by the way was unfair.

He was laughing and shouting at s, chasing them around the place. Sara was giggling beside him and even told him where the others were or to warn him from upcoming attacks.

Yugyeom and Jisoo were always attacking them, but then took it too far when they targeted them while Mark’s car was closed to a wall. Yugyeom didn’t think much about and went full charge, making the car pressed onto the wall in full speed then drove away, high fiving each other.

Without knowing why, Mark put a protective arm around Sara, asking if she was alright since it was her side that collided with the wall. She looked up at him and burst out laughing, having difficulties breathing. She slapped him to wake him up from his absentmindedly daydreaming then pointed at Yugyeom and Jisoo’s direction.

“What are you doing Mr Tuan? Hurry and catch up to the maknaes! They need to be taught!”

“Right…” Mark cleared his throat and refocused on the game.

He didn’t know why seeing her smile the way she did before made him speechless, shocked and his tummy flipped a million times – in a good way. He suddenly remembered the days when they were together when she would always skip around the place happily, a smile never leaving her face. She used to be so happy back when they were together, when they were still young and innocent. Her life always revolved around sunshine and rainbows and it would always rub of Mark who always found himself laughing along with her with unknown reason. Mark never knew how much he actually missed Sara until then.

He suddenly wandered why he hated her so much? Was it because she left him and said she liked someone else? So what, they were so young at that time, they both didn’t know the meaning of ‘love’. Was it because Sara left without telling him anything and turned off all of her connections with him? Mark was suddenly confused. Did he hate her or was just holding a childish grudge against her?

It came to an end and the group all left and met up with the other group. Mark stepped off and helped Sara to stand up who accepted his hand with a smile on her face. Mark wanted to pull his hand back but Sara wouldn’t let him. She looked forwards to the gate that was opened for them to exit; Sara started to walk towards it.

Cecilia looked at Mark then looked down at his and Sara’s joined hands. Cecilia scoffed then walked away, stopping when she saw someone familiar on the crowd.

“Timing though” She told Mark, who arched a questioning brow at her. Cecilia nodded her head towards the crowd and Mark turned his head to where she wanted him to look, Sara did the same thing as well.

Mark squinted his eyes to check if the person he saw was really who it was, and it was. He shoved Sara away from him as lightly as he could out of shock and ran out when he saw her walking away.

“Wait Yoojin!” He yelled, not caring if people around him were looking. She didn’t turn around and quickened her pace but Mark was faster and caught her arm.

“Oh hey Mark” She greeted, a little breathless due to her powerwalk. Mark couldn’t help but to chuckle slightly, he still found Yoojin’s low stamina and lack of sport ability cute. It was one of her charms for sure.

“It’s not what you think” Mark said after becoming serious once again. Yoojin pursed her lip to the side, “hmm?”

“You know what I mean” Mark pointed back at the bumper cars, “with Sara. The fact that I was with her—“

“I don’t care about that” Yoojin interrupted, stepping backwards a little.

“Then why run away if you didn’t care”

“I wasn’t running away”

“God Yoojin, do you think I’m that stupid?” Mark was starting to feel impatient. He really didn’t understand why Yoojin was starting to act… well like a brat. He didn’t like it, especially since he didn’t know the reason why. If he did know the reason he could fix it, but Yoojin wasn’t giving him any hints and Mark could feel that she would never tell him.

“Do you see me as nothing? Am I really that untrustworthy? Why are you treating me like some piece of dirt?” Mark reached for her hands but Yoojin started to walk backwards, “you did nothing wrong don’t worry” Yoojin avoided his eyes, her voice trailing.

“Then? Then why act like this?”

“Act like what? I just need space right now Mark. I’m not really a fan of crowded places” Yoojin pretended to fan herself, even if it was winter.

“Are you hiding something? You’re hiding something aren’t you? You are. Again Yoojin, am I really nothing to you?”

Desperation filled Mark. He could feel Yoojin slipping far away from his hold to the point where he couldn’t feel her anymore, to the point when he couldn’t understand her anymore, to the point when she was starting to feel like a stranger. Yoojin looked around the place, looked up at the sky, the ground – anywhere but not at Mark. She felt relief fill her body when she saw Bambam.

“Bambam!” She yelled at him, waving widely to get his attention even if he was already looking towards her. Mark opened his mouth to say something to Yoojin, to make her stay but she was already running towards Bambam’s direction.

“Is he okay?” Yoojin asked, eyeing JB who was lying down on the bench. JB glared at her, “I’m completely fine”

“You look like a beggar” Yoojin snorted and Jackson came back from the store he entered not to long ago, with a newspaper in his hands. He started to place the sheets on JB who shrugged it away but Jackson stubbornly placed it back even if JB threw it off about a million times already.

“Are you a homeless man?” Yoojin joked, Bambam high-fived her, “that’s exactly what I said!”

The whole group reunited after a few minutes passed. Everyone was buzzing with chatters and laughter when they told each other about what happened in each ride.

Mark sat next to Yoojin and she let him, because all in honesty she missed him around, even if they were together a few minutes ago. The scene of Sara and him holding couldn’t be erased from her mind; they looked like an artwork together.

They were like a puzzle pieces that fitted together perfectly. No wonder they were called the Royal Couple. Mark the prince and Sara the princess, and what was she? Yoojin was the servant for the princess, or maybe the peasant who worked under them.

The second one fitted her perfectly because that was exactly what she was, a maid. And that was all she can ever be because she can’t be a princess no matter how much she tried. Life wasn’t a fairy-tale and her story could never be like the Ugly Duckling – she can never be a swan.

☺☺☺☺☺☺☺

It was the afternoon of their last day of their vacation in the beach house and it was also the afternoon of the year. A few hours then it would already be a new year. The last two days seemed slow in Yoojin’s opinion, they went everywhere, checked out the shops, the historical features and even went in those visitors buses where the guide told them about the place and its special events that happened, but even if there was so many things that happened, Yoojin still thought that the hours seemed to dragged.

It was most likely because she wasn’t having fun, or was having fun by force. They do say that time flies when you’re having fun, and it was the complete opposite to Yoojin. She always had the instant camera that Jr bought her a few months ago and she used it for the first time by taking pictures of the sceneries but mostly her friends.

They were at the park close to the beach house that they rented. It was a cold day, freezing actually but they decided to spend the last few hours happily.

Bambam and Yoojin were sitting down on a swing each, kicking the sand underneath their feet as they wait for the sunset that was about to appear in two hours or so.

“It’s been fun right?” Bambam looked up at the sky, sniffling when the cold hit him.

“Yeah, I guess” Yoojin shrugged.

“Since were alone now can’t you tell me?”

“Tell you what exactly?” Yoojin stopped her swing, caught off-guarded by Bambam’s question. He stopped his swing as well and looked at her. Yoojin already know what was going on his mind, but she didn’t want to tell him anything. Bambam’s eyes pierced hers; he looked serious as ever, Yoojin was slightly shaken with his strong gaze.

“I’m not avoiding him for any reason Bam” Yoojin whispered, finally having the courage to speak up.

“I know. But what exactly is that reason Jin? Can’t you at least tell me that? I’ll be able to help you”

Yoojin shook her head, “you won’t understand-”

Try me

Yoojin gulped. Sara’s situation shouldn’t be blurted out carelessly, it was a private matter and Yoojin wasn’t sure if Sara wanted anyone else to know. However, Bambam was being so stubborn that she couldn’t do anything about it. Sara trusted him anyway right? Yoojin thought it wouldn’t matter if she told him.

“Sara… she… has a sickness. I’m trying to help her” Yoojin sat closer to him, careful of other’s hearing them even if the rest of the group were about 50 metres away from them.

Bambam cocked his head to the side, “help her with what? How?”

“Mark. She still likes Mark, Bam. I know she does, I can tell she does” Her brown doe eyes shook slightly and Bambam caught it.

“I know Yoojin. I know Sara likes Mark. It’s obvious”

“Then you should know that she deserves to be with Mark”

Bambam was flustered; he was getting more and more confused than ever. “What? And you’re saying you don’t deserve to be with him?”

“I can’t be with him Bam, he can’t be with me. It’s not going to end well, there’s no happy ending if we become together so I’m giving him to Sara” Yoojin felt her hands sweaty.

Her heart was beating fast, even though the words were coming out of , she didn’t believe it. She was hoping Bambam would oppose to it too. She was getting confused as well, her head was hurting. Why was she tangled up in such a mess? Why did the guy she had to like was Mark?

“You’re giving him to Sara?!” Bambam repeated, he couldn’t help but to scoff due to disbelief. “Is he a ing doll? A toy? You’re handing him down to someone as if it’s like an unwanted Barbie? Do you not know how stupid you sound right now?”

The beats of Yoojin’s heart was starting to go even faster, she was scared that it might burst out of her chest. “You don’t understand Bam”

“For real I don’t” His hands travelled to his hair, wanting to pull each and every strand out due to frustration.

“Look, the thing is Sara, okay, Sara has a sickness and-”

“I know everything Yoojin. I know her sickness. I know everything about it but I don’t understand why it’s even in this conversation”

Why don’t you understand? It’s obvious. She left him because of that sickness”

“It was her decision; it was her decision to leave him. Yes she said that she felt like she had no option but she did” Bambam’s voice was starting to rise, “if you’re telling me that Sara deserves to be with him because it wasn’t fair because she had to leave him then that means nothing, alright? You have every right to be with him too, you like him as much as Sara does and that’s it. You guys can’t be the one to decided who deserves to be with Mark because that’s his decision”

Bambam looked at Yoojin; he was breathless due to his scolding. He likes Yoojin and of course wants her to be with him, but why did he feel so mad with her giving up Mark just like that? She was being blinded because of Sara; she was seeing only one side of things and being completely stupid that it was making Bambam mad.

However, he felt even more stupid with the fact that he was helping his competitor, but what could he do? Yes he may regret helping her, but he couldn’t help it.

“I can’t give Mark anything. Mark gives me everything and pretty much anything without me asking; do you not know how that makes me feel? It makes me feel more useless than I already am. Mark deserves more. Sara can fulfil those things easily. Therefore she should be with him. It’s a good thing anyway, once they’re together I can move on with my life as well and they move on with theirs happily, Sara would be happy and I’ll be alright” Yoojin whispered, her voice shaky and cracking. Her eyes stung as she felt it fill with tears. She prayed for it not to fall, especially not in front of Bambam.

“Then what about Mark? Do you not think about him to? What is he going to do when you’re gone?” Bambam questioned, being more careful with the tone of his voice after seeing the glistening tears in Yoojin’s eyes. Yoojin looked down not answering.

“Yeah, alright let’s say you can’t give him that watch he wanted, or that shoe that he always dreamed of. Oh yeah, let’s say that the plan gets called off and the position of him being an heir disappears. It doesn’t matter, money is not the problem Jin, and Mark doesn’t want to be an heir in the first place anyway” Bambam grabbed her both of her shoulder and gave it a squeeze.

“He likes you so so much that I’ve never seen him so happy in his life. I’ve never seen him smile so brightly at someone, laugh so happily with someone, I’ve never seen him look so much like a fool. You can’t give him those things easily but you can give him the happiness and the light that he needs in his life. What do you think would happen to Mark once you’re gone? You know that jerk that you first met in your household, the jerk that called you a pancake and made fun of you for being poor, the jerk that never smiled and acts like zombie, walking around blindly not knowing the meaning of life because he was pretty much dead. Yeah that jerk, that jerk will come back for sure”

Bambam softened as he wiped the tears that ended up falling from Yoojin’s eyes, he squeezed her shoulder’s tighter to calm it down, “you deserve him more than Sara does, trust me. He needs you more than he needs Sara”

Yoojin fell limp in Bambam’s touch and her head was on his shoulders already, she was so tired. “What am I supposed to do then? Sara… she… I already promised I’ll help”

“What you do depends on, well, obviously, you. Think about what you want to happen, fight for Mark once again if you want, tell Sara that you won’t give in easily. Do whatever you want and for as long as it can take. Just don’t be too late” Bambam smiled at her when Yoojin was facing him once again, her eyes already red and puffy.

“Don’t take too long because Mark was telling me last night that he thinks he hurt you in a way. I think he feels helpless”

Bambam pointed at Mark who sat alone in a bench, away from the others who were on the public table playing mini games and telling stories like students going to a fieldtrip. Yoojin did seem to notice Mark looking more tired lately; she did notice him not talking as much as he did before their talk in the amusement park. Mark was letting himself be dragged around the place by Sara, he let himself be pulled in photos he didn’t want to be in. Yoojin bit her lip. It couldn’t be because of her… right?

Author's Note:

I know it's really long but i thought that i owe it to you guys anyways. In this chapter.. well... Bambam was pretty much like you guys, he probably said the things that you guys are thinking. Like telling Yoojin that she was acting stupid, because i thought the same thing as well. Weird thing is I'm the author but i'm getting furstrated with my own character, haha. Is that normal, I dont even know.

First part of the chapter is inspired by Real Got7 S2 Ep 5.
