Chapter 7
Let's Not Fall In Love (Former Just Another Girl)30 minutes before school starts, Eunyoung and Hyejeong were already down the lobby, ready for school, unlike yesterday.
"Who are we waiting for?" Eunyoung asked out of curiosity.
"My friend." She stated.
"Your friend?" She asked again. "I thought you had none." She murmured recalling Hyejeong's stories about her former roommates.
"Yah! I have some, okay! Well, maybe a few. But, still!" Hyejeong defended. Actually, she doesn't have a lot of friends in school because everyone treats each other as competition. There are some whom she knows very well but there is one who is very close to her.
"Just kidding!" Eunyoung smiled playfully. Although they just met two days ago, they already feel comfortable with each other. They even dropped formalities in talking so they talk informally which would be much more comfortable. Hyejeong was really warm and accommodating while Eunyoung was very friendly, to girls at least. Their personalities matched each other very well.
"Hyejeong-ah!" The girl who just came out from the elevator ran and hugged Hyejeong from the back.
"Omo! Haeryungieee!" Hyejeong turned around and hugged her back. "I missed youuu!" They said unison.
"Where were you yesterday, huh?" Hyejeong cried out. Haeryung let go of her, a huge smile planted on her face.
"Well, I was out because I had to meet some people yesterday." She smiled, as if there was still something left to say.
"And?" Hyejeong asked impatiently.
"And.....I'LL BE MODELING FOR A SCHOOL UNIFORM BRAND KYAAAAAH!" Haeryung screamed in joy.
"Seriously?" Hyejeong asked. She can't believe her friend actually got a shot at modeling. Hyejeong knew very well that Haeryung wanted to be a model and actress but the easiest way for her was to enter an idol group first to be noticed by the public.
Haeryung nodded, tears forming in her eyes.
"OMO! OMO! OMO!" Hyejeong hugged her again tightly and both bounced around giddily. "I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!" They were the only ones who were noisy at the lobby. Other people stared but most just laughed at them.
Eunyoung smiled as she looked at them. They sure were close. She hoped she could be close to both of them just as close as they already were.
Both released from the hug and turned to Eunyoung. "Haeryung, this Eunyoung, Joo Eunyoung. She's my new roommate." She beamed. "And Eunyoung, this is Na Haeryung, my friend."
Presenting, Na Haeryung.
"Annyeonghaseyo!" They both bowed.
"Well, you seem pretty normal to me. I like you already!" Haeryung beamed.
"Thank you." Eunyoung replied, with formalities.
"Please, let's just drop the formalities. It's not like we aren't gonna be friends sooner or later." Haeryung smiled. She was the type of person who gets acquaintances easily. She has a very pleasing personality and gets well with almost everyone.
"Sure." Eunyoung smiled back. She already got the feeling that she and Haeryung would get along very well.
The girls marched on their way to Seungri. Eunyoung didn't really feel out of place with them. It's like they all just met and started their friendship from ground zero.
"So, may I ask, how did you two became friends?" Eunyoung said, opening a new topic to talk about.
"Well, it all started when we knew that we both didn't want our roommates." Hyejeong exclaimed.
"Hyejeong always had weird roommates, until you of course. And me? I'm stuck with the drama queen." Haeryung said.
"Drama Queen?" Eunyoung asked, one eyebrow raised.
"Jennie." Haeryung replied.
"Jennie? As in the one in our class? That Jennie?" Eunyoung only knew one Jennie. The Jennie that scoffed as she was introducing herself in front of class.
Hyejeong nodded at her. "Jennie isn't that mean but she's not that nice either."
"Oh, wait a minute!" Haeryung stopped and pointed at the convenience store they were about to pass by. She pulled both Eunyoung and Hyejeong in.
"What are you gonna buy now, huh?" Hyejeong asked.
"You know, chips and stuff." She smiled demonically.
"I thought you were on a diet. What happened?" She questioned mockingly.
"Come one, don't be such a killjoy. Right, Eunyoung?" Haeryung said as she hooked arms with Eunyoung.
Eunyoung nodded, just going on with the flow.
"See, Hyejeong-ah! You know what, I really like Eunyoung. She shall be my new bestfriend." Haeryung teased and winked at Hyejeong just before she pulled Eunyoung towards the food section.
Aigoo. You little brat. Hyejeong shook her head and followed them.
It didn't take long for Haeryung to grab what she needed. She was about to pay in the counter when Eunyoung excused herself to grab some yoghurt drink.
Hmmm. What flavor should I choose? She scanned the varieties of yoghurts in front of her. Eunyoung settled for the strawberry one and grabbed three.
Before leaving the isle completely, her eyes wandered around the instant ice pack on the fridge. She suddenly remembered the guy from last night. Thinking of the large feet she owns, he must really be hurt and it might even cause a bruise on his leg. They didn't exactly had an ideal first meeting. Eunyoung felt the need to make it up to him. It's not that she likes him but because they're in the same class.
She snagged a pack and went back to the counter.
"What's the ice pack for?" Haeryung asked.
"It's for the guy I met last night." Eunyoung replied.
"A guy? Who? Is he hot?" Haeryung teasingly asked.
"A little?" She half-answered, half-questioned.
"Ohhh. You should introduce him to us." Haeryung smirked.
"Yeah, like she stepped on him last night and they really had a nice conversation. Sure, she could bring him up to us." Hyejeong said sarcastically, recalling Eunyoung telling her about the moment she had with the guy.
"So, that explains the ice pack." Haeryung said.
The girls just laughed and made their way back to school. Fortunately, Haeryung was also in class 12-A.
