Chanyeol was kind of hurt but he slowly got used to it. It stung his heart but he managed to smile at her. Chanyeol made his face nearer to the young girl until their noses touched. “Aren’t you just a sweet little girl?” He said. Milan’s face grew redder by the minute. “Is oppa making your heart beat faster?” He teased with a smile on his face, not adjusting the distance.

“Sh-Shut up, oppa,” Milan looked down to the guitar again, pouting. “I told you to not do that. You know how easily I get flustered!” She scolded him. “It’s cute,” Chanyeol said as he wrapped his arms around Milan’s neck, tight enough to stop her from breathing. “Oppa…” Milan said, slanting her back, making Chanyeol fall but with her.

Now, it was an awkward position with Milan resting her head on Chanyeol’s stomach. “Oppa…” Milan growled. Chanyeol smiled sheepishly. “Isn’t oppa’s abs better than Luhan-hyung’s?” He cockily said. “Lol, nope,” Milan said as she sat up. “But I’d never dare touch them. Actually, I never planned touching anyone’s abs… But then you had to do that,” Milan frowned.

“What? Me? You’re the one who made me fall!”

“You didn’t let go! Whatever!” Chanyeol laughed at how Milan reacted. She seemed too innocent to be true. “Oh yeah, oppa,” Milan turned to him, putting the guitar beside her. “Want to go to my room and compose? I might have something to make the fans squeal in delight,” she said.

Chanyeol was kind of shocked with that offer since Milan never invites anyone in her room. No one knows how it looks like. No one dared to open it to call her. And Milan never lets anyone in her room. Maybe this is one of the benefits of being her bestfriend but he wonders if she had a boyfriend, what kind of benefits would that guy have?

Chanyeol nodded with a smile on his face. “You can bring your guitar if you like,” Milan said as she stood up. “I’ll go ahead while you fix my mess,” she said before going out of the room. Chanyeol could scream like a girl right now with happiness but he kept that in. He shouted into his pillow like the fanboy he is. This is even better than the time Kai gave him a cute hat as a Christmas gift. It’s been a long time since he was hyped because of a girl.

After a few minutes of squealing into the pillow, he stood up and dusted himself of. “Show her a cool side,” he whispered to himself. He then went out and entered Milan’s room. It was open after all so he let himself in. Milan was sitting by her desk, closing the laptop when she heard the young man come in.

“Sorry that it’s a little messy,” Milan grinned. “But I’m just really messy, unlike most girls,” she stood up and jumped into her messy bed. Messy wasn’t the right word to describe it. There were papers scattered on the floor. Her desk was filled with papers too. Her walls were covered with posters of SHINee and some Japanese things Chanyeol can’t comprehend.

“So this is her world,” Chanyeol whispered before sitting at the edge of Milan’s bed. “So what were you thinking about?” Milan handed Chanyeol a music sheet as an answer. “What do you think?” she asked, scanning Chanyeol’s serious expression as he hummed the tune. “It’s cute.”

“Is that all you have to say?” Milan frowned.

Chanyeol shook his head. “What’s the title?” he asked. “Everything,” Milan answered. “Can you sing it for me?” Chanyeol asked. He of course took the opportunity for the younger girl to sing to him. Milan nodded, taking the music sheet.

Milan continued singing and Chanyeol closed his eyes while listening to her. He had this goofy smile on his face. He was really acting like the girl being serenaded by her crush. After Milan finished, she asked,” So?” Chanyeol looked at her, still smiling. “What’s that smile for?” She raised one of her eyebrows. “Saranghae,” Chanyeol mindlessly said that made Milan fluster.

“I mean—You know I love you right? You are EXO’s little sister after all and this piece is just good,” Chanyeol excused himself, flustered too. “Yes, I thought so. Uhm, so anyways, I plan to hang out with BamBam next week, want to come with me?” Milan asked. Chanyeol wanted to meet this BamBam dude and prove to himself he’s better than any South East Asian dude. “Alright then, as long as EXO doesn’t have a schedule,” Chanyeol said.

Milan suddenly hugged Chanyeol. “Good! Since you’re my best friend, I want you to be the first EXO member to meet him. I think you’ll get along with him,” she grinned. Chanyeol faked a smile. ‘Get along? That might not happen, Mil-ah. I get jealous easily,’ he thought.

“But he might bring Mark-oppa along too,” Milan said dreamily. “But he’s not my bias if you think about it. Nope, he’s just a good dancer and all,” she said. Chanyeol sighed a bit. This girl was really addicted to other men. He just wishes she’ll learn to be addicted to him one day.

The two spent time with each other, talking about random things from what the EXO members’ habits were to politics. Laughter resounded in the room. Chanyeol thought this could be perfect. They could be perfect. But the problem is Milan only sees him as her best friend and nothing more.

And Milan has her heart beating for another member without Chanyeol’s knowledge.
