Perfect Match
Today is a busy day. Guests are gathering in one place, dressed up formally. Staffs are going in and out, preparing the necessities for the auspicious event.
Ga Eun, Suho's assistant monitored the whole progress. She relayed and exchanged updates with Nara, the wedding planner through their walkie-talkie. Their job was to ensure all ends well.
"One, two, three! That was perfect!" The photographer complimented, taking another shot of Seri and Joohee. Joohee fixed Seri's veil and grew a smile. In thirty minutes, she's going to be her sister in-law officially. "Unni, are you nervous?" Seri nodded, biting her lip. "Do I look okay?"
"Don't worry. You look great." Joohee reassured her.
Joohee lightly knocked on the door. Hearing a faint reply, she pushed the door slightly. Kris was sitting on the couch while Suho was checking himself in the mirror.
"How's it going?" Kris said. As always, his mannequin like figure made him look dashing in his tailored Armani suit. Today, he is going to be Suho’s best man. He rested his one arm on her shoulder, something he likes to do since he first met Joohee. "Are you bragging that you're tall? If people see us like this, they're going to misunderstand us."
"Big deal." Kris huffed. "We've done this a thousand times. Besides, we only have each other now that Suho will be taken away." He teased. Joohee laughed, noting his statement was true.
"Yeah right. Joohee, come here and fix my tie." Joohee obeyed and walked up straight to her brother. Suho had his hair spiked upwards at the front, showing his forehead. She neaten up his butterfly and smoothen the crinkles on his suit. “There. You’re handsome like a prince.”
“That’s something like mom would say.”
“Since she’s not here, I’ll say in her stead.” Joohee paused, reminiscing their last moments with their parents. Suho her hair softly. He knew what she felt. They only have each other now. “When you get married later, I’ll say what dad supposed to say.” He coaxed her with a smile. It worked because she smiled too. “And you have to walk me down the aisle.”
“Deal.” They comforted each other with a hug.
