"What?" She blinked a few times. His confession caught her off guard. "Since when..."
"The day we first met in the elevator. After that, I hoped that we would meet again. Perhaps there would be a chance for us. But I was one step late. He already beat me to it." He took out the pictures and showed it to Joohee. "His name is Do Kyungsoo right?" She gasped. It was expected.
"Lay, I..."
"I assumed he was the one." Joohee nodded. She had forgotten to consider his feelings while getting caught with her own feelings for Kyungsoo. It made her feel guilty. She averted her gaze. Silence filled the air.
"Maybe this is the best for us. Besides, long distance relationship does not work well for me." He joked, breaking the tension between them.
"You're going back to China?" Lay nodded. "My contract is ending soon. It's about time I come home." She heard his little sigh. Joohee slumped back to her seat.
"I'm sorry..." It was all that she could say to him. He is a nice guy. She knew he had to endure his broken heart. All because of her.

"No buts. You have to bring him to see me. Promise?" He checked his wrist watch. "Look at the time. I have to go." Lay got up from his seat. "Bye, Joohee." He walked away, trying hard not to look back. Right
