"I love you."

I splashed the water onto my face. "Stop it..." I let out my frustration for the umpteenth time.

Only today, I've heard that sentence five times in my head. Everytime I did, palpitation occurs and I find myself unable to breathe properly. My mind went blank whenever I recall the incident.

"Kyungsoo..."

He moved me behind his back, shielding me against those street thugs. "Stand back." How he sounded so manly back then.

"I won't let anything bad happen to you." Those words melted me like butter. I wished he would protect me whenever I was in danger. He made me feel safe just being there with me.

"I love you." Then he kissed me. It was sudden but I felt it. The tingling sensation, butterflies, fireworks, all of it. My heart tells me it was okay so I kissed him back without hesitation. It felt so right until my mind spoke.

"Once he finds you a match, it's over."

Reality . How do I endure this?
