Perfect Match“I love you.” He pressed his lips onto hers. She was caught off guard but soon she tasted the sweetness herself. She grew fond of it and returned it properly.
Kyungsoo got startled. He felt her hand touched the back of his head. But his senses were quicker. He secured her by putting his arms around her waist.
“Don’t.” She pushed his body. Kyungsoo frowned. “Why?”
“T-this isn’t right…” She spoke. Her eyes were everywhere, anywhere except looking at him. “You were supposed to find someone for me…” She bit her lip. Her hands were trembling.
Kyungsoo adjusted himself in the driver’s seat. Feeling depressed, but there was nothing he could do. He must respect her decision. He looked to the front and started the engine. “I’ll take you home.”
The car stopped right in front of the porch. Kyungsoo turned off the engine and looked at me. “Thank you for the ride. Drive safely.” I opened the door, but he stopped me. “Wait.” He caught my wrist. I felt him turning it over and put something in my palm.
“Keep this. It was meant to be yours.”
I turned to face him. It was the pouch, containing the bracelet he gave me. Somehow, it made me feel sad.
“Listen,” I cleared my throat. “I forgive you. I’ll do what you say and start seeing Lay.”
“Joohee…”
“This is what you wanted, right? Good night.”
Entering the house, I leaned my back against the door. The sound of his car was fading, indicating that he was leaving. When the sound was gone, everything came back rushing to me.
