New boyfriend

Nameless

It was Monday and it was the first time since forever that Wonwoo actually wanted to go to school. He’d been talking to Mingyu for the whole weekend. Well he came over on Saturday but for the whole Sunday they talked, they skyped for hours like a really cute couple, but not really touching the kiss subject. They just talked about their usual stuff but they sent each other glances through the camera that spoke for themselves.

Every now and then Hanji would come into Wonwoo’s bedroom and find him staring at the laptop screen. She called him but he just told her he was busy. He’s in love, she thought. This time she didn’t tell her mum about what she saw outside the house, because she knew her brother would get very angry, but he didn’t seem really worried about that now, he was more worried about Mingyu and his handsome perfect face and personality.

So there he was. Wonwoo was now waiting downstairs for his sister to come down so they could head to school. He was getting impatient.

“HANJI, ARE YOU DONE?” he yelled from the front door.

“IT’S TOO EARLY TO LEAVE”

“IT’S NOT EARLY, COME HERE NOW” Wonwoo yelled again and he heard his sister sigh, a few seconds later she was walking down the stairs.

“What am I going to do at school so early? None of my friends are that early” she said sulking.

“Deal with it, I’m meeting with Mingyu before classes start” Wonwoo said with a grin on his face.

“Alright” she said and opened the door heading out of the house.

They walked towards Hanji’s school first, and where Wonwoo would find Mingyu, standing next to his motorbike. Wonwoo spotted Mingyu from afar when they were reaching the school and smiled widely when taller saw him and waved.

As the siblings reached the gate of the school Mingyu walked over there as well.

“Hey” Mingyu said smiling.

“Hey” Wonwoo smiled back.

“Hey, Hanji” Mingyu said high fived the little girl.

“Come on, go inside” Wonwoo told his sister.

“It’s too early” she said.

“Hey, isn’t that Minjung?” Wonwoo pointed towards another little girl with her mum and Hanji turned around to look.

“Yes!” she said excited “Bye, see you later” she said and Wonwoo leaned in to let his sister peck his check before running towards her friend.

“Poor girl, you wanted to get rid of her” Mingyu said to Wonwoo, who turned to him and smiled as he got his face closer to his.

“I didn’t” Wonwoo said and pecked Mingyu on the lips making the boy grin.

“You look stunning today” Mingyu said and Wonwoo chuckled.

“Oh yeah, the school uniform is flawless” he joked and Mingyu kissed him first this time “We’re at the door of a school where little children come, it’s better if we go somewhere else”

“What? We’re innocent teenagers” Mingyu said and Wonwoo laughed “What do you want to do to me?” he said covering his chest with his hands.

“Let’s go, idiot” Wonwoo said and started walking towards their high school, knowing Mingyu was following behind.

“I think your sister saw us” Mingyu said turning around to look where Hanji was a few seconds ago.

“She saw us when we were outside my house” Wonwoo said and shrugged.

“Are you serious?” Mingyu said walking a bit faster to catch up with Wonwoo.

“Yeah, she knows, but it won’t hurt, believe me, she’s a nice kid”

“Isn’t she like… traumatized?” Mingyu asked and Wonwoo couldn’t help but laugh.

“Of course not, she’s open-minded, don’t worry, I already taught her how to be like that” Wonwoo said.

“You’re the best” Mingyu said looking at Wonwoo.

“I know” both of them laughed.

“But seriously, you look extremely good today. Did you do something to your hair?” Mingyu said looking at Wonwoo from head to toe.

“No, I didn’t and stop looking at me like that, it’s ”

“Is it?” Mingyu said getting closer to Wonwoo.

“Go away, ert” Wonwoo said pushing Mingyu slightly, but the boy quickly returned to his place, but a bit closer to Wonwoo, who turned his head around enough for Mingyu to place a gentle kiss on his lips, which he clearly replied kissing back.

Soon they had to stop being fluffy when they reached their school. They had to part ways so Mingyu winked at Wonwoo as a goodbye and the later just smiled like an idiot watching the other go away.

Wonwoo reached his class which was almost empty. Just a couple of students were there; he greeted them and sat on his desk waiting for his friends to get there. Luckily Jihoon arrived a few minutes later and sat with Wonwoo.

“What made you so happy?” the boy asked when he saw Wonwoo’s bright face when it was Monday.

“It’s nothing, I’m normal”

“Sure”

“So how was your weekend?” Wonwoo asked with the permanent smile that was on his face since Mingyu winked at him.

“Pretty boring actually, yours?”

“Same” he lied. Just not yet, he thought.

Soon their other friends arrived and a few minutes later the teacher was in class. Wonwoo had to wipe off that stupid smile of his and concentrate on his class.

~

Lunch time arrived and Wonwoo walked happily towards the cafeteria, where he found in their usual table his friends. He sat on his chair and took out his food. A minute later Mingyu entered the cafeteria holding a book and looking at it with a confused look. He sat on the chair opposite Wonwoo.

“Having problems at reading?” Wonwoo and Mingyu looked up from his book to glare at him “Woah, ok, sorry man”

“It’s ok” Mingyu said looking to his book again.

“Mingyu” Wonwoo called him and the boy thought it sounded like beautiful music when Wonwoo said his name. He looked up to look at his friend “Should I remind you that all four of us are a year ahead of you?”

“Oh, it’s right” Mingyu said looking at the boys sitting around the table “Ok, who’s the smartest one out of you?”

“Wonwoo” Soonyoung said.

“Ok, now seriously” Mingyu said laughing.

“Hey, do you want to die?” Wonwoo said kicking Mingyu under the table.

“Are you being serious?” Mingyu said and looked to the other boys to confirm the thing and they nodded “Well, in that case, can you help me?” he said looking at Wonwoo.

“No” the boy said and took a bite of his food “That’s for calling me an idiot” he said with his mouth full.

“I didn’t call you an idiot and don’t talk with your mouth full, it’s disgusting” Mingyu said and Wonwoo chewed and swallowed his food.

“You didn’t say it, but you meant it” Wonwoo said.

“Anyways, will you help me or I have to squeeze my brain till I die?” Mingyu asked

“Come here” Wonwoo gave up and motioned the younger to move his chair next to him, so he could teach him whatever he didn’t understand. Mingyu did as he was told and put the book in front of Wonwoo, taking away his food “What is it?”

“This” he pointed at a certain part of the page and he took a bite of Wonwoo’s food.

“Oh ok” Wonwoo said looking at the book and reading the information there “But don’t eat my food, I’m hungry”

“It looks good” Mingyu said with his mouth full “And it is good”

“Don’t talk with your mouth full, it’s disgusting” Wonwoo teased Mingyu. The boy quickly chewed and swallowed “Alright, so this, it’s pretty complicated, but once you get it it’s pretty easy” he said pointing the book. Mingyu let his arm rest on the back of Wonwoo’s chair and the other arm he used it to support his head as he looked at the book and listened to Wonwoo explaining the stuff.

Wonwoo wrote some stuff on the book to make it clearer to Mingyu “Did you get it now?” he asked when he was finished, after the boy asked him several questions.

“So it’s just like that?” Mingyu asked.

“Yeah, just like that” Wonwoo said.

“I get it now” Mingyu said and looked at the older boy “You know, you could be my personal tutor” he whispered and Wonwoo looked at him.

“Or you could you better give me my food and go away before I punch you in the face” Wonwoo whispered back and smiled.

“You’re gorgeous” Mingyu whispered grinning as he scanned Wonwoo’s face with his eyes.

“Go away” Wonwoo said pushing the boy a bit.

Mingyu pouted and returned to his previous place and gave Wonwoo his food, which he devoured in a few minutes. Damn he sure was hungry, Mingyu thought and laughed in the inside. So cute.

“Wonwoo” Mingyu called the boy when he spotted him walking towards his sister’s school.

Wonwoo turned around and smiled at Mingyu “Hey” Wonwoo said and Mingyu caught up next to him.

“I didn’t see you since lunch time” Mingyu said.

“Missed me?” Wonwoo teased.

“To be honest I did” Mingyu said and Wonwoo smiled.

“I can be your tutor” Wonwoo said and the boy looked at him surprised.

“Can you? I mean, do you want to?”

“Yeah, why not?” Wonwoo said “But you’ll have to come to my place, because I can’t leave my sister alone”

“Alright” the reached the school and of course Hanji wasn’t out yet “When do we start?” Mingyu asked and took a step closer to Wonwoo.

“Your choice” Wonwoo said not moving and inch and letting Mingyu come even closer. The taller leaned in a bit.

“Tomorrow?” he pecked Wonwoo on the lips lightly.

“Ok” Wonwoo said “But I remind you there are children around here”

“They’ll be fine” Mingyu said and this time he kissed Wonwoo fully in the lips, and of course the later kissed back as Mingyu wrapped an arm around his waist and Wonwoo put his hand on the other’s nape.

But unluckily their kiss was interrupted by a certain little girl calling her older brother.

“Wonwoo!” she said as always and ran towards her brother. Of course she saw them, but she didn’t care.

They pulled away “” Mingyu said and Wonwoo glared at him “This time she did see us”

“I know” Wonwoo said and they let go each other. Wonwoo turned to greet his sister with a hug “Hey, Hanji, how was school?” he said smiling at his sister.

“Really good” she said smiling “I’ve got a boyfriend”

“I told you, you had to introduce me to him before anything nasty happens between you” Wonwoo said.

“Alright, I’ll introduce you to him tomorrow”

“Is it Dongchan?” Wonwoo asked and she laughed.

“Yes, it’s him but he’s called Donghwan, remember?” she said.

“Oh, right” Wonwoo laughed.

“Wonwoo, I’m leaving” Mingyu said and Wonwoo stood up looking at him.

“Alright, be careful”

“Yeah” Mingyu said “So tomorrow we start?”

“Yes, tomorrow” Wonwoo smiled.

“Ok, see you tomorrow then” he smiled at him and turned to the little girl “Bye Hanji”

“Bye” she said as she grabbed her brother’s hand.

“See you tomorrow” Wonwoo said and Mingyu started walking to his motorbike “You’ll call later, right?” he said loudly and Mingyu turned around giving him an ‘ok’ sign.

“Let’s go home, Wonwoo, I’m tired” Hanji said and Wonwoo nodded.

Both of them walked to their house and once they got there Hanji went to her bedroom, but Wonwoo told her not to fall asleep because then at night she won’t sleep. So he decided to go do his homework and when he was finished he went to check on his sister and luckily she was playing.

“Can we play together?” she asked when she saw her brother.

“Of course” he said and entered the room, sitting next to his sister.

After they played for a while Wonwoo decided to ask her about her new boyfriend.

“So… that kid and you are together?” Wonwoo asked and she nodded.

“Yes, why?” she said in a boasting attitude.

“Just asking” he said.

“Actually we’ve been together for a week already, but since today we shared our first kiss I decided to tell you” she said the same way she said the previous words.

“Kiss?” Wonwoo asked surprised.

“Yes, and it was perfect” she said “Now I’m the best in my year and everyone wants to be like me, but they won’t because I’m better than them”

“Hey, hey, hey, calm down little girl” Wonwoo said “Don’t go with that attitude in life because it won’t work well, so bring down your ego”

“What attitude?” she said.

“The one you’re having now” Wonwoo said “Hanji, you’re only 7, alright? I know you’re about to turn 8, but just don’t act like a stupid teenager because you aren’t like that”

“You don’t know me, I’m not like what you think” she said.

“Excuse me? I do know you. I practically raised you, so be careful with what you say” Wonwoo said standing up “Play time is over. Do you have homework?” the girl nodded “Alright, do your homework. I’ll come in a while to check if you’re doing them, and you better be doing them”

“Why? Are you going to punish me? You’re not mum” she said.

“I know, but I’m your older brother, and when mum’s not here I’m the mum here, so do your homework” Wonwoo said and got out of Hanji’s bedroom slamming the door close.

He entered his bedroom and sat on his desk chair as he sighed. He took his phone and dialed Mingyu’s phone. He was so angry and he needed to talk to him.

“Hello?” Mingyu said from the other line and it felt like almost all of the anger inside Wonwoo vanished.

“Hey” he said and sighed heavily.

“What happened?” Mingyu asked.

“How do you know something happened?” Wonwoo asked surprised.

“I don’t know, that sigh didn’t sound really good”

“It’s my sister” Wonwoo said and Mingyu stayed silent to let Wonwoo explain “I asked her about that supposed boyfriend she said before and she started being all cocky about it and acted like a typical teenager being rebellious”

“Cocky? Children are cocky that early?” Mingyu said and Wonwoo sighed.

“I don’t know, apparently yes. She said she was the best of her year and whatever, she’s full of herself now” Wonwoo said and ran a hand over his face “I lectured her and made her do her homework. I feel bad but… really she made me go mad”

“You did well. If you aren’t strict with them in certain things at their age when can you?” Mingyu said.

“Yeah, you’re right. Thanks”

“Why?”

“You made my anger go away. Just by answering the phone it calmed me down, to be honest” Wonwoo said and he heard Mingyu laugh “Don’t laugh at me”

“I’m not laughing at you, I’m just so happy” Mingyu said. In fact he felt like he should go straight to Wonwoo’s place and hug him. He wanted to feel Wonwoo next to him and between his arms, so did Wonwoo want to feel Mingyu wrapping his arms around him, but of course they didn’t say a word about that “You know, maybe your sister just wants a little attention from you?”

“More? I mean I have to stop seeing my friends and go straight home because I have to take care of her. Why does she want more attention? She has practically all of my attention, except when I’m at school, but once I get out of school…”

“And you don’t pay attention to me?” Mingyu teased Wonwoo.

“Of course I do, idiot” Wonwoo said and Mingyu laughed.

“I just wanted to confirm”

“Alright” Wonwoo said and looked at the clock “I have to go check if my sister’s doing her job. We’ll skype later, ok?”

“Sure” Mingyu said “Bye”

“Bye” Wonwoo hung up and headed to Hanji’s bedroom.

He opened the door and saw his sister on her bed playing with some dolls. He didn’t hear him because he was extremely silent, so he just leaned against the door and looked at his sister, his anger filling him up again.

“I like your homework, I wish mine were this fun” he said and Hanji looked at him with a scared look.

“I’m done with my homework” she said not very convinced.

“Are you? How fast” Wonwoo said and entered the room, waking towards the desk spotting the exercise book opened to a certain page and some exercises were marked to do and they weren’t finished of course “Then what is this? I’m pretty sure you’re not done yet”

“I don’t feel like doing them” she said and Wonwoo scoffed.

“Oh, of course, Princess Hanji doesn’t have to do the homework if she doesn’t feel like it, because of course now she has a boyfriend, teachers will forgive her for not finishing her homework” Wonwoo said “You’re not the centre of the world, get over it. Now sit here and do your homework before I get more angry”

“But… Wonwoo…” she said.

“SIT HERE AND DO THE ING HOMEWORK” he said and she tensed up. Some tears reached her eyes because it was the first time Wonwoo was so angry at her and actually cursed in front of her. She did as he told her and started doing her homework.

“Why are you being like this to me?” she said and sobbed weakly.

“Don’t cry, it’s not gonna work” Wonwoo said sitting on the bed crossing hiss arms.

“But why are you this angry? You’ve never been like this before because of homework” she said.

“It’s not about the homework” Wonwoo said “It’s about your stupid attitude towards me. That’s not how I taught you to be, you think I like seeing you being all cocky and full of yourself?” she shook her head no “Alright, now do your homework and when I feel like it we’ll talk”

Wonwoo stood up from his seat and went to his bedroom again. He Skype and called Mingyu. He told him about what happened and how bad he felt after doing that. It hurt being like that to Hanji, but he hated seeing his sister becoming another person completely opposite of what he’s taught her.

“I feel so bad now” Wonwoo said and covered his face.

“Hey, it’s alright. Maybe you were too strict there, but it’s fine, hey she’ll learn from this” Mingyu said trying to cheer him up.

“Yeah, maybe, but I hurt her… she started crying and… she’s my little girl…” Wonwoo said but couldn’t continue because he started crying as well.

“, no don’t cry” Mingyu said “Hey, just talk to her once she’s done with her homework, get it? You just need to talk, and if you want apologize to her, but don’t cry”

“I’m already crying” he said removing his hands from his face and took a tissue.

“Damn Wonwoo, you’re such a crybaby” Mingyu said and Wonwoo laughed.

“Sorry” Wonwoo said.

“Don’t be, it’s fine. You do know how to express your feelings” Mingyu said “Your sister must be so lucky to have you as a brother, you love her so much”

“Yeah, she better be grateful for everything I’m doing for her, because if she isn’t she’s a little ” Wonwoo said making Mingyu laugh.

After a few minutes Wonwoo decided to go talk to his sister. He made sure his face was in a good condition and went to Hanji’s bedroom. He knocked before going in and he entered. His sister was still in her desk chair probably still doing her homework.

“Are you done?” he asked in a gently tone.

“Just finished” she said and turned around to find her brother crouching down next to her.

“I’m sorry, Hanji… I was too strict before, I was just scared because you’ve never been like that before”

“I’m sorry too” she said “I shouldn’t have said that in the first place”

“It’s ok” he said “I forgive you”

Hanji smiled and jumped out of the chair hugging her brother. He hugged her back of course and kissed her forehead.

“You’re still introducing me that kid” Wonwoo said and Hanji laughed.

This fic is very light. After reading this, I understand why there is a star beside the title. I love all the couples. I want to be Wonwoo's mom and Jonghan's dad is so cool. Looking forward for the sequel.
