The morning journey turned out to be later than they had planned. Jung Yonghwa was away that very morning for an urgent company meeting leaving Seo Joohyun with practically nothing to do. She walked around the garden stopping every now and then to pick some flowers, re-creating Yonghwa’s bouquet. She reminisced on how her relationship with Yonghwa had escalated throughout these past days and couldn’t help but felt ridiculous on her blind accusations. Under those unnecessary antics he portrayed, Jung Yonghwa was a very nice guy.

She sat on yesterday’s bench closing her eyes trying to remember how happy he looked. She couldn’t help but smile. While her thoughts were occupied, Lee Moonsik was already sitting next to her. She was startled the moment she opened her eyes. “Ajusshi!”

“I’m sorry for startling you Joohyun ssi” he said apologetically. “There’s something I want to tell you about Master Yonghwa” he frowned. Curious to his serious expression Joohyun simply told him to continue on. “You’ve seen his blue notebook right?” he said. She nodded. “Honestly, he has never been out and about if you know what I’m saying”

Joohyun shrugged. “I’m not sure ajusshi. Do you mean he has never gone wandering around before?” Moonsik briskly nodded. “Yes! Yes, that’s exactly what I was trying to say. He has never gone around with his friends; he has never tried dubokki, hanging out with friends... all those youngster stuff. He hasn’t experience any of that yet”

“How old is he again?” Joohyun asked. “He’s 24” Moonsik replied. “I know it sounds weird but his father practically locked him from the outside world when he was little then he was put into an orphanage. His mother died a few days after he was released from the orphanage... he didn’t have the chance to see and explore the world” His eyes teary as he told the truth to Joohyun.

“What about when he was in the U.S?” Joohyun asked again. Moonsik smiled, “He handled his late mother’s funds at such a young age Joohyun ssi... when can he find the time for himself. It’s pretty clear now... your plans are delayed” he said while wiping away his tears.

Joohyun smiled and gently she patted Moonsik’s arm. “Thank you for sharing this with me ajusshi. I really mean it” Lee Moonsik smiled. “You have no idea how he had spend his young life” he softly sobbed, “Thank you Joohyun ssi for still wanting to be his friend even though he made you cry a lot” Moonsik sniffed.

“Yeah... I am very sorry” Yonghwa said with his sudden appearance. He sat next to Moonsik letting his arm hung around Moonsik’s shoulders, “I’m sorry for making you worry ajusshi. I’ll live my life the best I can from now on” he said assuring. Joohyun nodded, backing Yonghwa. “He’s right! I’m going to drag him all around Korea until he memorises this whole country”
