Minhyuk told me to come only in the morning but how could I? Yonghwa needs me. I promised him to stay by his side no matter what.

“But I thought you guys are in Busan?” I asked—still on the phone— after Minhyuk told me that Yonghwa is now at the hospital where he has been receiving his treatment. What is going on here?

“It’s difficult to explain but for now I can assure you that hyung is stable and is resting. We are only allowed to see him tomorrow”

I was still in panic even after Minhyuk hung up. Onnie was trying to calm me down.

“It’s not me who needs the attention right now” I said. “I have to go to him”

“Honey… look at you” auntie said as she held my hands in her. I didn’t realize that my hands were shaking. “You can’t go like this… let alone drive. We’ll drive you there… But not tonight… okay Joohyun?”

I nodded but it felt like my knees were about to give out and I felt like crying. But I won’t. I am not going to cry. Whatever it was that happened to him, the good news is he is still alright… and alive.

I got sent to bed after that but my brain refused to be at ease. I kept thinking about Yonghwa. Is he really stable now? Is he really resting? Could it be that he is in pain? Or the worst has yet to come? My heart ached at the thought of him… not being next to me.

I didn’t realise it that I was still tightly grasping my phone when suddenly it vibrated. It was a text message from Yonghwa.

SORRY.
DID MINHYUK SCARE YOU? I’M ALRIGHT NOW –YH

It was Yonghwa himself and tears of relief freely dripped down my face.  

WHAT DO YOU THINK STUPID? ARE YOU REALLY ALRIGHT NOW? – SH

YUP. THEY WON’T LET ME HAVE MY PHONE BUT I STOLE IT FROM THEM :)

I laughed a little.
