"It's okay, Bom. You don't need to feel embarass about it.." Jiyong calmed her.
To get a help from him, Bom needs to tell everything about her. "I feel so unworthed and.. and low.. and sometimes I think that I don't even belong to be friends with all of you.." she was crying. "Ssh.. don't say it like that. You're still the Bom that I know, that we know.." he caressed her arm, "I'll help, okay? Now, please don't cry anymore.." he erased the tears on her cheek and cupped her left cheek with his hand. They're looking at each other and smile. Jiyong immediately called someone and told Bom that it might be difficult, but the man he talked to said he will try his best to find them. She can feels her heart become a little bit light and easy. "Come on, let's get out of here.." He could see how hard it must be for Bom and nothing couldn't make her be happy again except a cup of hot steam corn. ***** Bom had been waiting for two weeks for any information from Jiyong's worker. And finally this noon Jiyong called her for the news. They meet at the american restaurant near Jiyong's office. He shoved a big brown envelope to her. She's looking at it. Eyes fixed to the envelope. She wanted to open it immediatelly but her hands didn't want to move. "Do you want me to read it for you?" asked Jiyong. "No." He backs off and laid on his chair. Gave her more space. Her hands were trembling. She took it with both of her hands and brought it closer to her slowly. She opened the envelope and took out a clip of paper. Her eyes focused on the document. She read it carefully. "What does it say?" asked Jiyong when Bom puts down the document. "He found her." ***** It's one of the lowest district in Seoul. She lived there, Bom's birth mother, said the paper. But at the morning until noon she usually works at the market. She opens a fried chicken store in the middle of the market. Bom's brother also works there, help his mother, their mother. Jiyong was following Bom from behind. Her hand holds his hand tightly. He could feel a little sweat from her hand. He didn't speak at all until she suddenly stopped her steps, "Why?" "I can't do this. Let's come back here next time.." she tightened her grip. He took both of her hands and grabbed it, "you can do it.. I'm here with you.." "No. I can't. I can't face her. She who abandoned me years ago. She dumped me." "Because she has no choice.." Jiyong exhaled, "but it's your choice.." Bom was looking into the corner in front of her. Just five meters away from that corner, said one of the ahjumma before. That's the location of the fried chicken store. "Mm.. maybe we can take a look. Just.. from that corner.." "Okay, come on.." he grabbed her shoulder and lead her. "Aigoo.. another delivery? Your store is getting more popular lately!" said an ahjumma. There's a boy holding a delivery box and a middle age woman coming out from the store. Just by a glance Bom knows who they are. "Of course! My chicken is the most delicious in town! Go deliver it fast!" "Yes! I'll be back as fast as I can!" he said with a loud voice. He walked passing Bom and Jiyong. He was way taller than Bom but has the same black straight hair like Bom originally have. His long hair was tied back. The middle age woman was still talking with the ahjumma from before. Bom was taking a step closer to take a look. She had a shoulder lenght hair and it's wavy. Permed like a normal market ahjumma style. Closer and closer. She stopped. Their eyes meet. "Hello, young lady. Do you want some fried chicken?" Bom stunned. She was not planning to get a conversation with her. Her eyes widen and she could feels a cold sweat dripping from her forehead.
