"It's me," he said.

"W...why are you here?" I asked quietly.

He gripped my hand again. "I was worried about you."

"...Jae..." My eyes started to tear up.

He gently wiped a tear from my cheek with his thumb. "C'mon, it's okay..." I heard him say as he helped me up into a sitting position. I was full out crying now, and I didn't resist when I felt his arms wrapp around me, holding my head to his chest.

"Shh..." He whispered softly in my ear.

"I-I...I'm...s-so scared," I choked out inbetween my sobs.

"Shh," he continued to rock me back and forth. "It's alright, I'm here now...you'll be fine."

We stayed like that for awhile until I finally settled down, my eyes having run out of tears. I sniffed and dabbed my eyes with a tissue.

"Thanks for coming," I said as I turned towards his direction.

He held my hand again. "It's nothing. I just wanted to make sure you were okay."

Hearing that from him made my heart sputter just the slightest, and I blushed.

"So, where is he?" Jae's voice asked.

"Who?" Of course I knew who he was talking about, but I still questioned him.

"You know who I mean."

I looked- I mean, turned my head down. "I haven't seen him all day," I mumbled.

"What?! Not even at school?" 

I shook my head. "He had to pick his parents up at the airport."

He let out a small laugh. "And he had to miss school for that?"

"Well, his parents are sort of- umm...important."

He laughed a bit again and then abruptly stopped. "So he doesn't know that you fell down the stairs?"

I shook my head again. "Come to think of it, how do you know?" I turned towards him.

"Jung Hyo called me awhile ago, and I came here right after."

"Ahh..." I responded, nodding.

"So...how are you feeling now?" He asked.

I shrugged. "Other than the fact that I'm blind and that I have a headache, I'm fine." He laughed with me.

"Oh, crap, I gotta go now. My parents want me home before 8 tonight..."

I frowned slightly, my heart sinking a bit. It was nice to talk to Jae after so long. Even if I couldn't see him.

"Hey," he pinched my cheek, making me jump. "Don't frown, I'll try and visit you tomorrow, 'kay?" He chuckled.

"Okay...by the way, again, thanks for coming," I said as he released my hand.

Then his voice was right beside my ear, giving me chills down my spine. "Anytime." And he was gone.

Seungri's POV

I got the call around 12:50 PM, from one of my classmates, Seong-Chan.

"Yeobose-"

"SeungHyun? Oh my god, dude, I heard that Sung Hyun's in the infirmary!"

"WHAT?! How-" I heard a beep from my phone, and I stared at it. The battery was dead. AISH! Why did it have to die at a time like this? I hastily jammed it back into my jeans.

"Who was that?" My dad, seated in the middle row of our car, turned towards me.

"Um, a friend...Dad, could you ask our chaffeur to drop me off at my school?"

He looked at me, confused. "How come?"

"My g-...my friend is in the infirmary and I really need to see how they're doing," I blurted out quickly. "Mom, Dad, I'm sorry I can't you guys myself."

"Ahh, it's okay, son. You should see how your friend is doing," My mom replied with a smile. "Yu Ri will accompany us," she stated, looking at Yu Ri on my right.

"Of course!" Yu Ri beamed, and then turned to me, lowering her voice. "What happened?"

"I don't know, but it has to do with Sung Hyun," I replied quietly.

After a slight pause, she cleared . "Oh."

Once I arrived at CheongDong, I bid my farewells to my parents and Yu Ri, sprinting inside the school.

I burst into the infirmary hallway and spotted Seong-Chan and a few of my other classmates at one end, chatting. I ran towards them. "Seong-Chan!" He turned at the sound of his name.

"Oh! SeungHyun!" He responded once I was beside him.

Panting and sweating, I put a hand on his shoulder to balance myself. "W-..what happened...to her?"

One of my other classmates, Ji Weon spoke up. "I went to one of the stairwells and I found her passed out at the bottom," she said.

I stumbled, almost losing my balance. "Oh god. Is she okay? Where is she??"

"We're not sure if she's okay or not..." replied Seong-Chan. "But she's in Room A." He pointed to one of the rooms.

Quickly thanking them, I ran to the closed door. Peering through the little window, there she was, lying on the bed, unconscious. I quietly turned the doorknob and shut it behind me.

I slowly stepped forward and kneeled down. Taking her small, fragile hand in both of mine, I held it to my forehead. Tears rimmed my eyes, and I bit my lip. 

"Sung Hyun..." I finally looked up at her. Whenever she slept, she always looked so innocent, so fragile. I her cheek.

"Sung Hyun-ah...I...I don't know if you can hear me, but...I'm sorry I wasn't here today." I hit myself with my palm. "UGH, this wouldn't have happened if I was with you..." Using my fingers, I lightly brushed her bangs from her face. 

"Please..." I gripped her hand tightly. "Sung Hyun...please...please wake up," I pleaded. "I'm so sorry, it's all my fault...all my fault..." I mumbled. "You have to wake up, got it? You still need to meet my parents, and I have to...to tell them about you..."

I sat there for awhile more, talking to her, telling her how sorry I was, and tucking her in comfortably. Around 1:50, I felt my stomach growl. Oh yeah, haven't had lunch yet. Oh wait, my parents...they said they would wait for me...

I looked at Sung Hyun, helplessly lying there. I didn't want to leave her, but it didn't seem like she was going to wake up anytime soon. I leaned forwards and gave her a long kiss on her forehead, tucking her hair behind her ear. Then I whispered (again, for the billionth time),

"Sung Hyun-ah...I'm so sorry." I held her face in my palm for a second, staring at her calm face, and then quietly left.
