No One’s POV

“What are they doing here?” Ha Rin asked upon seeing Myungsoo and Bum at their living room the next day at night with Myungsoo ready with his luggages.

“They’ll stay here for the night for your flight tomorrow morning since Myungsoo’s house is quite far from here.” Mrs. Shin said.

“HYUNSOO-YAH~” Ha Rin squealed upon seeing Hyunsoo on his stroller being pulled by his nanny.

Mrs. Shin laughed at how her twins raced to Hyunsoo. “Who’s going to look after him by the way?” Min Young asked as Ha Rin carried him.

“That’ll be our job dongsaeng~” Bum said and smiled at Min Young.

“Ha Rin-ah, let him rest first in their rooms. Come on.” Mrs. Shin suggested and Ha Rin pecked Hyunsoo’s cheek and went to sit beside her mom on the couch.

The Kim siblings bowed at Mrs. Shin as they went upstairs to the guest room opposite to the twins’ room.

“Can I ask you a question dongsaeng?” Bum said as he and Myungsoo entered the guest room here at the Shin’s mansion.

“Shoot.” Myungsoo said and they both sat down on their respective single beds across each other.

“I just noticed that you were very happy when you knew that you’ll be on this trip with Ha Rin alone. Is there something happening that I don’t know of?” Bum asked in suspicion.

Myungsoo kept quiet and just had a smile plastered on his face. “Don’t tell me that you’ve…” He began.

Bum took a deep breath. “Fallen for her again?” he asked in disbelief.

Myungsoo nodded and instantly, he gave him a smack on the head. “What the hell was that for?!” the younger one asked in annoyance.

“That’s for you to wake up in reality little brother. You’re married for crying out loud Kim Myungsoo! Please!” Bum said in rage.

“I love her more hyung. You should understand.” Myungsoo said plainly.

“Enlighten me, how did it all started again? You don’t mind telling me the real story right?” Bum hyung questioned and raised an eyebrow at Myungsoo.

—FLASHBACK—

“Meet your new sisters son~” Mrs. Kim said as a 6 year old Min Young and Ha Rin entered their house.

“Introduce yourselves my princesses.” Mrs. Shin told her daughters.

“I’m Min Young~” Min Young said and grinned as she shook hands with Myungsoo.

“And I’m Ha Rin.” Ha Rin greeted shyly and lowered her head.

“Its nice meeting you girls, I’m Myungsoo.” The 9 year old Myungsoo introduced himself and smiled happily at the twins.

As it was their first meeting each other, from that day on the four of them including Myungsoo’s elder brother Bum the four of them were inseparable.

One night at the Shin’s mansion a 13 year old Myungsoo heard a familiar voice crying at a distance from the guest room where he was staying at for their trip the next day.

Myungsoo went out and walked towards the voice and when he opened the door of the twins’ room he found the 10 year old Ha Rin crying on top of her bed hugging her knees together.

He approached her quickly and sat beside her on her bed. “Ha Rin-ah, what’s wrong?” he asked.

“Oppa! You’re here! You didn’t leave!” Ha Rin expressed and hugged Myungsoo tightly which surprised him.

“O-of course I didn’t, I was at the guest room. What happened?” Myungsoo questioned as he broke off and wiped Ha Rin’s tears with his thumb.

“I-I had a dream, and in that dream you left me. you left me and you never came back.” Ha Rin explained and continued to sob.

“That was just a dream Ha Rin. I’m here and I’ll never leave you.” Myungsoo said and smiled at her reassuringly.

“Promise?”

“I promise.” Myungsoo muttered and smiled at her. At that moment, he knew that he intend to keep that promise and protect her with all his life and at his young age he realized he had fallen for her.

Years passed and they were both in high school. One afternoon after school, a 17 year old Myungsoo sighted the 14 year old Ha Rin trying to get away from a boy’s grip.

Myungsoo approached them and quickly dragged Ha Rin away from the boy and they both ran at the nearest park from their school.

“Who the hell was that?!” Myungsoo asked in fury.

“My classmate who’s forcing me to go on a date with him today but I said no. when you saw us he was pulling me away with him.” Ha Rin explained.

“Good! You’re not allowed to date anyone, understand?” Myungsoo told her.

“Why?”

“Its because you’re mine.” Myungsoo whispered softly as he was being a coward at that time afraid that Ha Rin might not understand his feelings for her.

Ha Rin took a step closer to him. “What?” she asked.

“Nothing, let’s go home.” Myungsoo said and held onto her hand tightly not wanting to let it go or let anyone hold onto it besides him.

“I’ll miss you oppa.” The 16 year old Ha Rin mumbled and hugged Myungsoo at the airport before they leave for Japan.

“I’ll miss you too Ha Rin, more than you can imagine.” Myungsoo said and broke off.

“Can you promise me something oppa?” Ha Rin asked.

“What is it?”

“Promise me that we’ll keep in touch and that nothing will change between us until the day I come back. Alright?” Ha Rin said cautiously and held out her pinky.

Myungsoo intertwined his pinky with hers and smiled. “Promise.” He said in assurance.

“Let’s go dongsaeng~” Min Young called out and immediately Ha Rin followed her sister through the boarding gates.

“Even my love won’t change. I love you Ha Rin.” Myungsoo expressed in a whisper and lowered his head in sadness that he didn’t have enough courage to say those words in front of her.

“And that promise was going well until you came and ruined the picture hyung.” Myungsoo told his brother off.

“What did I do now?”

“Be a man, and move on Myungsoo.” Myungsoo said and imitated his brother’s voice.

“And you did, that’s when you met Hyuna, right?” Bum asked.

“Unfortunately, yes.” Myungsoo answered in regret.

“What happened between you and Hyuna now?” Bum questioned.

“I said, I don’t want to talk about it. What I know now is that Ha Rin’s the one I truly love hyung, you should understand that.” Myungsoo stated.

“I know that Ha Rin is way better than her in many ways and in fact I like Ha Rin more than Hyuna for you actually. But what made you realize that she’s the one you really love?” Bum asked.

Myungsoo nodded in agreement. “Ha Rin’s innocent, never left my side, and appreciates the most little thing I do for her.” He summed it all up with a smile.

Bum heaved out a deep sigh. “What I’ll tell you now is this…” He began and Myungsoo looked at him in interest.

“Be a man, show her your true feelings and fight for her until the end. Ha Rin is worth it. Remember that alright?” Bum said factually.

Myungsoo grinned widely. “I know she is. Thanks hyung! You’re the best!” He said and hugged his brother gratefully.
