No One’s POV

“Thank you for all of these Woohyun. But what are they for?” Ha Rin asked curiously as they sat down on a bench in a corner where no one passes by that much at the amusement park holding onto her bouquet and the balloons since they had finished eating the cotton candy earlier.

Woohyun breathed out heavily and faced Ha Rin. “My Young Mistress…” He said in a low voice and held her hands lowering his head. Ha Rin kept quiet and placed the boquet of roses by her side.

“No, Ha Rin… I asked you on a date today because I wanted to spend some time with you, and I’m glad that you said yes and that you’re here with me now.” Woohyun began in a serious tone.

Ha Rin felt her heart pump nervously as she had a hint on where this conversation might go, but she decided to keep it to herself for now and had let go of the balloons unconciously.

“But I figured out something better to do, and that is to tell you this…” He paused and looked straight into her eyes with sincerity.

“I like you Ms. Shin Ha Rin. In fact, what I’m feeling for you is way more than that. I’m in love with you.” Woohyun finally confessed in full honesty.

Ha Rin widened her eyes in disbelief and kept silent. “Now I’m asking you, stop being my Young Mistress but be my girlfriend instead?” Woohyun questioned her cautiously and gazed into her eyes.

“I-I…” Ha Rin stuttered.

“So?” Woohyun insisted and still had a firm hold onto her hands.

Ha Rin gathered up her thoughts and gave out a heavy sigh. “W-Woohyun… This can’t be. I’m sorry.” She said in a low murmur and took her hands away from him.

“W-w-hat? Is there something I did to—“

“No, its not you Woohyun, its me, I have my eyes on someone else. I’m sorry.” Ha Rin said apologetically and lowered her head.

Woohyun breathed out and looked up the dark sky above. “Is it L?” He asked casually.

Ha Rin looked at him in astonishment. “Y-y-yeah. But how did you—“

“I’m not that naïve Ha Rin, I knew from the very first start that he’s the one in your heart.” Woohyun said in a raised voice.

“I’m just someone you used so you could forget him! I know all that Ha Rin! Forget him because he already got a family and that’s with that Hyuna girl and Hyunsoo.” Woohyun went on.

Ha Rin gasped as she didn’t know why Woohyun knew the whole truth. “You’re shocked am I right?” He asked and smirked.

“I told you, I’m not naïve and I definitely have my ways. The trip that we had, all the pictures you took. You did all that for him!” Woohyun yelled out which startled her.

“And I’m such a fool to pretend not to know anything just so I could go on with my life with you, thinking that you already feel the same way for me. But I’m wrong, aren’t I?” He said.

“No Woohyun, I’m part of the blame too. I really thought I had fallen for you too. But—“

“But what? Nothing. What you feel for me is just purely friendship and someone you could use to forget someone you liked ever since!” He interrupted and threw the bouquet of roses on the floor.

“No! I didn’t use you Woohyun! What I did was giving you a chance, giving US a chance. But…” Ha Rin trailed off as she started to cry.

Woohyun scoffed. “Tell me Ha Rin, are you with him now?” He asked sternly.

Ha Rin nodded fretfully letting her tears fall freely. “Great! Just great! I guess you should go now. He must be looking for you.” He said in defeat.

“I’m sorry Woohyun. I really am.” Ha Rin began and placed a hand on his knee.

“But I’d like you to know that I enjoyed each time I’m with you until today. You’ll be the best companion for me. Thank you.” Ha Rin said truthfully as she stood up and ran off crying leaving Woohyun behind.

“Yeah, I was just a companion for you from the very beginning.” Woohyun whispered in loss.
