Myungsoo’s POV

“I’m married and I even got a baby boy.” I confessed and raised my left hand showing her my wedding ring.

Ha Rin stood still and kept quiet and suddenly she ran outside the room and stormed inside her bedroom and locked it quickly. I followed her and knocked on her door. “Ha Rin-ah! Open up! What’s wrong?” I yelled out.

“Nothing’s wrong. I just want to rest.” Ha Rin said simply.

“Please open up, I’ll watch you sleep. Please.” I begged worriedly.

“No. I’m okay. Thanks for your gift. Good night.” Ha Rin’s voice fainted together with her footsteps that I assumed she had walked to her bed. I gave up and went downstairs instead lowering my head.

“Where’s Ha Rin?” My mom asked me as I arrived at the living room and sat beside her.

“She said she wanted to rest. She must be sleeping by now.” I said monotonously as I was still bothered what got into Ha Rin’s mind that she acted like that.

Ha Rin’s POV

When I felt Myungsoo oppa had finally left I began to cry letting my tears fall freely and walked around my room and looked at the pictures on the side table which were all taken before mostly with Myungsoo oppa because taking selcas is one of the things we enjoyed doing together.

“Why do I feel so hurt anyway?” I asked myself out loud still confused about my own feelings.

My sentiment was interrupted when I heard the door opened and there stood my sister with worry written all over her face. She then saw me crying, she locked the door and brisk-walked towards me and gave me a comforting hug.

“What’s the problem?” Min Young unnie asked me softly as we both sat at the edge of my bed.

“Is Myungsoo oppa still there?”

“No, they already left because it’s getting late. So tell me, what happened?” She questioned again solemnly.

“He told me he’s already married and that he also got a child.” I said between sniffs as I still continued crying.

“So its true, we were talking about it earlier downstairs. Aigoo! I knew you’d take it that way.” She said and put her arm around my shoulder.

“I’m just so mad that he didn’t tell me first hand, it was shocking. He even said it was a surprise! Well, congratulations! I was surprise as hell! What a nice way to end our birthday!” I yelled in rage.

“Calm down Ha Rin-ah. I understand how you feel, but is it just disappointment? Nothing else?” Min Young unnie questioned and gave me a don’t-lie-to-me-look.

“Fine, the truth is… I think I like Myungsoo oppa, and I like him more than just a brother or a friend unnie. I know this is something else.” I finally admitted.

She kept silent and looked out the window showing no sign of shock judging by the expression on her face. “Unnie, I just said I—“

“I knew you like him dongsaeng. Let me guess, it grew more when we were in Japan right?” Min Young unnie cut me off.

“How did you know that?”

“Okay, let see. You never dated anyone when we were there, you always talk about him, you over react if he’s not online or not called you, and lastly I’m your sister.” Min Young unnie pointed out as she counted it with her fingers.

“But dongsaeng, I’m telling you now that whatever your feelings are for Myungsoo oppa should stop. It will lead you to nowhere and you’ll end up hurting yourself if you fall for him more deeply.” Min Young unnie advised with a hint of worry in her voice.

“I thought you said you’re my sister?” I asked her.

“Yes, that’s why I’m telling you to stop this now aren’t I?”

“Then you should know too that if I liked something or someone, I won’t stop until I get what I want. We’re raised to be strong and have the courage to go until the end, giving up is not a choice.” I reminded her as I stopped crying and wiped my face with my hands.

“You’ve got a point there. But can’t you at least promise me that you’ll try?” She asked kindly.

“I’ll try.” I said with a nod and hugged her once more, thankful that I have her by my side.
