No One’s POV

“So girls, what are your plans for your 18^th birthday tomorrow?” Mr. Kim asked casually as they were all eating their dessert together at the Shin’s dining room.

“Oh yeah! What are our plans Mom?” Min Young asked Mrs. Shin with a big smile on her face.

“Its up to you and your sister. What do you reckon Ha Rin-ah?” Mrs. Shin questioned Ha Rin whose busy eating her slice of ice cream cake indulgingly.

“Hmm? Whatever unnie wants, I’ll be fine with it, since we have the same preferences when it comes to our birthday parties anyway.” Ha Rin pointed out and still continued eating as Myungsoo just watched her laughing quietly on his seat enjoying his own dessert.

Their parents and the Kim’s turned their attention to Min Young this time with curiosity. “I want it to be simple just like we always wanted every year.” Min Young stated and smiled brightly.

“We figured you’d say that, so no worries. Everything is already prepared.” Mr. Shin said with a wink which made Min Young giggled.

Ha Rin’s POV

“UNNIE!!!” I screamed out loud as I can as I sat on our bed after the Kim’s left to give us time to rest earlier.

“What is it?!” Min Young unnie asked and as usual in a snap she was there standing by the door panting looking worried.

“Nothing~ I just wanted you to come up here quickly. See! Now you’re here~” I said and stuck my tongue out at her.

She then slapped my arm lightly. “Yah! Shin Ha Rin! That habit of yours never changed huh? You screamed just so I could be here in a snap like you usually do.” Min Young unnie said and sat beside me.

I shrugged my shoulders and grinned at her. “So what do you want?” she asked me and lay down.

“I just realized, tomorrow will be our birthday and a few days after that we’ll be in university. Time flies so fast! I just can’t imagine that we’re finally going to be more independent.” I said with a little worry in my voice.

“I know. But wait, what’s wrong? Aren’t you the one excited to be here and study for uni?” She questioned in confusion.

“Yeah I am. I’m just scared that I won’t be able to handle all the work and the pressure.” I admitted and lowered my head.

She sat up and looked at me. “Come on Ha Rin-ah, there you go again; being negative about things. We’re both raised to be optimistic and confident aren’t we? We can do anything as long as we’re together. Don’t forget that.” She said in a sisterly voice.

I smiled thankfully. And as usual, I felt better instantly because I have my sister with me. That’s how we are, being negative at first but that confidence inside us remained we just need each other’s encouragement and we know everything will be alright.

“So, had Myungsoo oppa told you what his gift will be for you?” She asked interested and smiled.

“No. I didn’t ask him. He won’t tell me anyway even if I try and convince him. You know him unnie.” I said as I fixed my pillow and rested my back on it comfortably.

“You think I don’t know do you?” Min Young unnie asked wiggling her eyebrows up and down smirking.

I shot her a look. “You have a secret crush on him. Ever since we’re kids, we two were inseparable. Is it still the same until now, dongsaeng?” She questioned.

“Aigoo unnie! It’s just a crush. And as you said, it’s a secret so it has to remain like that.” I said simply.

“Yes. It should remain like that dongsaeng.” Min Young unnie said in a serious tone.
