No One’s POV

“Happy Birthday Princesses!” Mr. Shin cheered as the wine glasses clunk each other to serve as a toast for the twins’ birthday.

“Now time to blow your candles and make a wish!” Mrs. Shin cried out and in an instant Myungsoo lighted the two candles on top of two separate cakes for the twins to blow.

The twins closed their eyes and blew the candles at the same time afterwards. Their parents and the Kim’s including Myungsoo applauded and as usual they are the only ones present for the twins’ party because that’s how they celebrate it every year.

Min Young and Ha Rin hugged and wished each other a happy birthday and approached their parents afterwards and the Kim’s to give thanks to them. “Why did we have to celebrate it here by the way and not in our house?” Ha Rin asked curiously.

“This is YOUR house.” Mr. Shin emphasized and smiled widely at his daughters as Min Young stood beside Ha Rin showing the same curious expression.

Mrs. Shin laughed. “Yes sweetie, you heard your dad right. This is your own house now; it’s our gift for the two of you. We’ve realized you should be living—“

Mrs. Shin was cut off by the twins’ bone crushing hug. “Thank you so much! We promise we’ll be more independent now.” Min Young said grateful.

“And I’ll remain to be a good girl in return.” Ha Rin exclaimed totally hyped up.

“We know that. That’s the reason why we decided to give you this because you deserve it.” Mr. Shin stated.

The twins’ let go of their mom and smiled with great happiness at their dad. “As for our gift, we upgraded your closet and designed your rooms. You can check it out now if you want.” Mr. Kim uttered.

“Rooms? We’ll have our own rooms now?” Min Young asked.

“Yes. It’s about time that the two of you separate and get your own rooms at least.” Mr. Shin stated and twins look at each other and nodded in agreement.

“You have your dance studio Min Young, where you can practice your routines once you started school.” Mrs. Shin said and smiled at Min Young.

“As for you Ha Rin-ah, you have your music room. And together, you own a home theater where you can watch movies and have a karaoke if you want to.” Mr. Shin added.

The expressions on the twins’ faces were plain shock and excitement as they had both their eyes widened and their jaws dropped. “THIS HOUSE IS AMAZING!” The twins’ said in unison and jumped up and down like little girls.

After touring the house the twins had finally seen their own rooms that were designed as how they would want it to be thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Kim,  and the music room, dance studio, home theater and their walk-in closet. And they’re both very happy about it and that they couldn’t ask for more.

Ha Rin wanted to stay in her room looking around while the adults, her sister and Myungsoo stayed in the living room chatting.

When suddenly. “Dongsaeng! Look at the gift I got from Myungsoo oppa!” Min Young barged in showing her sister the bracelet on her wrist.

“Its pretty isn’t?” Min Young questioned as they both admired the bracelet’s charms that fitted to Min Young’s liking since it’s a dancer’s bracelet with charms on it.

“Very much.” Ha Rin complimented but felt upset inside as she thought that Myungsoo hasn’t got her anything for her birthday yet.

“I’ll be downstairs, don’t you want to come?” Min Young asked Ha Rin as she didn’t fail to notice Ha Rin’s change of mood.

“I’ll come down in a bit.” Ha Rin declined and with that Min Young went out and closed her sister’s bedroom door and went down the stairs.

“Where’s Ha Rin?” Myungsoo asked as he met up with Min Young by the stairs.

“She’s in her room, and by the looks of her she seemed down. So I suggest you show her your gift quickly.” Min Young said in a commanding tone and Myungsoo gave her a firm nod and went to see Ha Rin.

End of No One’s POV

Ha Rin’s POV

“Stupid Myungsoo oppa! He gave Min Young unnie a gift and didn’t even get something for me?!” I wondered out loud and frowned looking out the window.

“Who said I didn’t get you anything? And why are you calling me stupid?” A familiar voice asked and when I turned around to see who it was I frowned even more.

“You! Who else? You gave unnie a bracelet. Where’s my gift?” I demanded and walked towards him.

He chuckled. “Did you check all the rooms here in your house?”

“What do you mean?”

“Come. I’ll show you.” Myungsoo oppa said simply and held onto my hand dragging me out of my room.

We stopped outside the room that was in between my room and Min Young unnie’s room. When he opened it, it revealed all the teddy bears I’ve got ever since I was born that are mostly from him. He led me inside and what caught my attention was the life size pink teddy bear sitting at the middle of the room.

“Wow!” I squealed and ran to hug the life size bear at the center.

“How do you like my gift now? Am I still stupid?” Myungsoo oppa asked and came to sit beside me on the floor.

“So this is your gift?!” I asked and he nodded.

 I immediately wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him. “Thank you so much oppa! I love it!” I exclaimed and broke off quickly.

“This room is my idea, our parents were worried because they didn’t know where to keep all these and then I suggested this since all of these are mostly from me anyway.” Myungsoo oppa pointed out and I just listened as I was still hugging the new addition to my collection.

“Enough for surprise number 1. Stand up.” Myungsoo oppa commanded.

“There’s more to this?!” I asked eagerly as he helped me stood up straight.

He then turned to look serious though his smile still remained. “I’m married and I even got a baby boy.” Myungsoo oppa revealed and raised his left hand showing me his wedding ring.

I stood there frozen not knowing how to respond to his said “surprise” which plainly surprised me well that made my heart give a thump of sharp pain running all over my body. And that made me realize one simple thing.

‘It ended like that, without a start.’
