No One’s POV

“Myungsoo-yah.” Mr. Kim called out for his son as they were all gathered in the living room excluding Min Young and Sunggyu who were at the twins’ room upstairs.

“Yes dad?”

“I’ve wanted to ask you this at lunch but I couldn’t because Sunggyu’s with us. How are things with you and Hyuna?” Mr. Kim asked in a serious tone.

Bum, Myungsoo and Ha Rin were all caught off guard by this question especially Ha Rin as she stiffened in between Myungsoo and Bum on the couch.

“Yes son. I haven’t seen her for quite awhile. Is there a problem?” Mrs. Kim added in concern.

“She would normally be here if we said we’ll be having lunch together. But where is she?” Mr. Shin questioned more.

“Hyunsoo is sick that’s why he isn’t here but Hyuna should, right Myungsoo?” Mrs. Shin pointed out.

“Woah! Is this some kind of an investigation? Aigoo.” Bum piped in trying to lighten up the serious mood around the room.

“Let your brother speak up first. So son?” Mr. Kim insisted and the four adults had their eyes on Myungsoo expectantly.

Ha Rin was about to stand up and leave but Myungsoo grasp her hand tightly not wanting her to go without the knowledge of their parents.

Myungsoo breathed out heavily. “I have to admit that we’re in a fight the last time she came to my house and we haven’t talked to each other since then.” He explained in simple terms.

“And you’re not trying to fix it?” Mr. Kim asked him.

“There’s one thing I have learned dad, and that’s if once something has been broken, there’s a very little possibility of it being fixed again.” Myungsoo stated.

“Aigoo! I guess that was a huge fight huh?” Mrs. Kim questioned in curiosity.

Myungsoo was silent. “Alright, that’ll be enough for us. Besides, its your matters with her and not ours. So we won’t pester you with any more questions.” Mr. Kim said.

“You must be having a hard time, are you Myungsoo?” Mrs. Shin asked in anxiety.

“Not really, I have all of you that are very special in my heart then I’m fine.” Myungsoo said as he was looking directly at Ha Rin.

Myungsoo’s POV

“You can go now Ahjumma, thank you for looking after Hyunsoo.” I told Hyunsoo’s nanny when I arrived home with Ha Rin at night from her parents’ house.

She bowed and went off afterwards and I closed the door. “I’ll go see Hyunsoo.” Ha Rin said monotonously and walked to Hyunsoo’s room.

I brisk-walked and stopped her by her wrist and turned her to face me. “What’s wrong? You’ve been like that on our way here.” I asked her in worry and held her hands.

“I’m just not in the mood to talk.” She said simply and lowered her head.

“Its Hyuna, is it?” I questioned her but she was still silent.

“Didn’t you hear what I told our parents earlier? That once something has been broken, it’ll be hard to fix. And that’s my relationship with Hyuna.” I told her.

“Do you think that’s enough? My parents and including yours said that I’m not allowed to be in a relationship yet. What if they found out about us then—“

“If that time comes, we’ll face them together.” I said calmly as I lifted her chin up and looked straight into her eyes.

“But what if they don’t accept us? Just like Min Young unnie, she’s my sister but she objected. What more if it’s our parents?” She said in a fearful voice.

“She objected, but she accepted us. Let’s hope our parents will too.” I told her in a wistful tone.

“But—“

“No buts Ha Rin-ah. No matter what obstacle might it be, as long as we’re together I know that we’ll overcome it. Understand?” I said and gave her a warm smile.
