You sat down and stared at nothing in particular. It had been 5 days since Daehyun had left, not to mention 5 depressing, lonely, days. You were at the hospital working, but you were very distracted. You would start daydreaming at random times and Alice noticed.

“Hey, Han-ah, are you okay?” Alice asked.

“H-Huh? Oh, I-Uh-Yeah I’m fine,” you said and gave a weak smile. “Why?”

“Well…you just seem very…distracted,” Alice said.

“How so?” you asked.

“Well, for starters, you never seem to smile anymore. You don’t reply when others talk to you, uh-oh there’s also that time when you were doing surgery and-”

“Okay, I get it,” you chuckled weakly. “Maybe I am a bit distracted,” you said. Alice raised her eyebrows and you rolled your eyes. “Okay, I’m very distracted.”

“What’s wrong?” Alice asked. You didn’t say anything and she nodded. “It’s about that patient, Daehyun.”

“H-How did you know?” you asked.

“Well, at the mention of his name, you just snap,” she chuckled softly. “…Han-ah, have you fallen in love with him?”

“I-I already…-”

“Alice! Quick, we have an emergency in room 288,” said a nurse. Alice nodded, gave you an apologetic look before running off after the nurse.

“Love him,” you finished off with a whisper. “Before anyone else…”

Daehyun lay on his bed as he stared at the ceiling. He was now living in HyeSun’s apartment and honestly, he didn’t really like it. It was so squished and cramped compared to your mansion. He missed the cool, fresh air in the rural area. Most of all, he missed you. He closed his eyes and replayed when he left five days ago. You didn’t say a word to him. Not even a good bye. He suddenly felt pain sear through his head again. Daehyun groaned in pain and continued to clutch onto his head until the pain subsided.

He sighed and looked up at the ceiling again.

**Why does Han-ah keep popping up in my head?** Daehyun thought. **HyeSun has been nice too…but it’s just not the same for some reason**

He thought back to the day he arrived at HyeSun’s apartment.

“Welcome to our home,” HyeSun said and smiled. Daehyun looked around and couldn’t help but think the apartment was very…bright and loud compared to your simple big mansion. HyeSun led Daehyun to a room and smiled. “Here is your room,” she said and opened the door. The room was black and white, simple. He went inside and put his suitcase onto the floor.

“Thanks,” he replied.

“No problem,” HyeSun smiled. “That’s what girlfriend and boyfriends are for,” she beamed. Daehyun couldn’t help but cringe at the words ‘boyfriend and girlfriend.’ It just didn’t seem…real.

“So where do you want to go?” HyeSun asked.

“Anywhere is fine, I guess,” Daehyun said.

“Alright, come on,” HyeSun said. “I have the perfect place to take you.”

“The shopping center,” HyeSun said as the both of them got out of the car. “We’ll get you some new clothes,” HyeSun said. They entered in and Daehyun was very uncomfortable. Most of the passerby’s (aka girls) would glance at Daehyun and giggle. Daehyun didn’t like all the attention.

Suddenly, a girl about 16 years old came up to Daehyun and said, “Oppa, you are so handsome. Are you famous?”

“Sorry, but he’s taken,” HyeSun said and coiled her arm around Daehyun’s arm. She leaned against his shoulders and glared at the girl, “Excuse me, but my boyfriend and I have somewhere to go,” and dragged Daehyun away.

They entered a shop full of clothes. Daehyun began to look through the racks and picked out the ones he liked best. HyeSun did the same as well and ushered Daehyun into the stall to change. Daehyun came out with the clothes he had picked and each time, HyeSun would shake her head. Daehyun sighed again as he changed out of the last outfit he had chosen.

**I really liked this one** he thought sadly. He then came out wearing HyeSun’s choice of clothing and she would nod in approval each time. They soon paid for the clothes and left the store.

“Oh, it’s a bit past 12,” HyeSun murmured. “Come on Daehyun, we should go and eat.”
 

She took him to the Ddukbokkie store and waited for the cashier to seat them in a seat.

“Hello, welcome to-Omo, Daehyun, hello, welcome back again,” said the owner.

“Again?” HyeSun asked. “It’s the first time I am bringing him here.”
“Of course,” she chuckled. “He came here with his group of friends and Han-ah to eat a couple of times.”

“H-Han-ah?” HyeSun said. “You know her?”

“Why of course, she’s like a daughter to me,” she smiled kindly. “But I see you have…moved on to someone else,” she said and gave HyeSun a dirty look but smiled again before HyeSun saw anything.

“Please, come to this table,” she said and motioned them to a table. She took their orders and quickly left.

“Have you really been here with Han-ah before?” HyeSun asked.

Daehyun didn’t reply because, he didn’t know the answer to this question himself. **A group of friends…with Han-ah? I’ve never been here before…** Daehyun thought to himself.

HyeSun pouted when he didn’t reply but brightened again when she saw the food come.

“Eat,” HyeSun said and pushed one of the bowls towards Daehyun. Daehyun took the chopsticks and took a bite of the Ddukbokkie. Suddenly, he had another vision.

“Is that even edible?” said a male voice.

“Yeah, try it. This store makes the best Korean foods,” said a female voice. “This is Ddukbokkie. It is rice cake street food.”

“This is *munch munch* so good,” said another male voice.

“Say ah,” said another male voice.

He saw a blurry blonde head feed something to someone. That someone looked like you, but it was all very blurry. His head snapped up and he looked around. HyeSun looked at Daehyun worriedly and said, “Daehyun, are you okay?”

“Y-Yeah,” he said and continued to slowly eat the Ddukbokkie.

**What is going on?**
