Author’s POV:

The doorbell rang and Somin’s granny opened the door.

“Somin??” Granny was shocked to see an exhausted Somin with dust and dirt all over her.

“Omo! Kiddo what happened?” Granny was shocked. She quickly took her inside the house and sent her off to take a shower. When she returned she gave her some food and sat before her.

“What happened dear?”

Somin told her the entire tale of her misery while Granny listened attentively.

“How can he do this to me granny?” she sniffed “I was just fifteen minutes late. I didn’t even get to meet Hyunjoong” her tears fell uncontrollably

“Oh my child its okay” she went over to her side and her hair. ”Hyunjoong is not running away….you couldn’t see him today so what? You can see him tomorrow.You’ve waited so long to meet him…cant you wait abit longer?eh?”

Somin looked up.Wiping away her tears she nodded,her eyes were still red.

“That’s my girl!” Granny caressed her face with her hands and her hair.

When Somin stopped crying and was eating Granny went back to her chair infront of her.

“But Somin dear you’re wrong as well. You shouldn’t have been late”

“But granny it was just 15 minutes!” Somin protested

“Still!”

Somin pouted her lips. She knew herself that she was also somewhere at fault

“But how can he ask me to move chairs and fans for him? That’s not a job for someone like me!”

“Why do you say that?”

“Cause…cause” Somin didn’t know what to say. She felt humiliated by the job Lee Dong Sun told her to do “I am an AD Granny! Assistant Director! I shouldn’t be moving furniture!!! That’s too low graded !” Somin shrieked in frustration

“No work is low-graded. People are!”

Somin fell silent.

“Somin dear  there are many bad people in this world but you know who are the worst?”

Somin shook her head.

“The kind who look down on other people. Somin try to think if the lightmen,spotboys didn’t set things right how difficult shooting would have been for the directors!”

Somin slowly understood what her Granny was trying to say.

“Everyone has to struggle kiddo. Your Hyunjoong… do you think he became such a big star overnight? He also had to start from somewhere small and struggle his way up to where he is now”

That night Somin looked up the internet for videos before SS501’s debut. Somin watched how his idol worked day and night.Rigorous workout, vocal sessions, dance practice—there was hardly any freetime. She noticed how at times Hyunjoong looked really drained but still he never gave up.She learnt her lesson and that night her love and respect for Hyunjoong increased even more
