'When Jandi, Somin and Hyunjoong arrived at the party, the other SS501 members,Dong Sun and Jessica were already there. It was a rooftop party-extravagantly decorated. The DJ had already setup in one corner and was warming up his equipments; one side glistened in the lights reflected on the wine bottles by the disco lights standing at every corner as the bartenders juggled and served drinks to the notable faces of the Korean industry.

"Wow looks like DongSun went all out" Somin said.

Hyunjoong and Somin walked upto the others while Jandi followed timidly behind. She was still not very acquinted with being in SS501 circle. Though anybody else in her position would have been thrilled but Jandi felt really uncomfortable and out of her waters. She looked around; her eyes searching for the only one she felt normal with. Almost as an answer to her prayers, Jihoo emerged on the rooftop led by Haera and Junjin. Jandi couldnt control her laugh as she observed the same out-of-place expression on Jihoo's face --the expression of a third wheel.

Jihoo caught her smiling at him as he navigated and approached her. "Something funny?" he asked narrowing his eyes

'Your face' Jandi giggled. Jihoo moved his jaw and raised an eyebrow,'Thougt you weren't coming' he said clearing his throat and leaning on the terrace railing

"Hyunjoong oppa insisted" Jandi replied

'Aha' Jihoo said reluctantly. The name of Hyunjoong still perturbed him. "You look nice" Jihoo said diffidently 

"Thanks" Jandi said "You look uneasy"

Jihoo blanched at her momentarily then chuckled. "Can you blame me?" he said pointing to Haera and Junjin who were getting quite lovey-dovey in the corner

"I can totally relate" Jandi said eyeing Hyunjoong handing out a glass of wine to Somin

"Oh" Jihoo said clearing his throat slightly "You-you came with them?"

"Yeah" Jandi was abit shocked at the question. It was obvious she came with Hyunjoong and Somin. Who else would she be with.

Somin and Hyunjoong were enjoying their drinks when suddenly Hwangbo appeared

“Hey Hyunjoong-ah! Look who’s here” Hwangbo cried and moved aside to reveal the man behind her. The man was tiny and old. He wore a French hat and big black glasses which made his tiny eyes look even smaller. His body and face screamed of his old age but that didn’t seem to perturb the man to the slightest as he wore an extravagant neon yellow tail coat paired with Egyptian blue cargo pants. Somin’s jaw dropped as she looked at the man Hwangbo brought before them. She turned to Hyunjoong and found him staring at the man too. She thought he was staring at him for the same reason as she was but  she was mistaken. The man’s ostentatious dress sense didn’t seem to bother Hyunjoong as well as he went forward and hugged the old man

“Paul!” Hyunjoong cried

“I thought you forgot your old man” he said flapping his right hand in an overly feminine way which would probably put even Victorian women to shame.

“No way!Paul!” Hyunjoong shrieked “That’s impossible”

The old man continued to pout and twirl the tiny ponytail peeking through his French hat, so Hyunjoong planted a kiss on his forehead and the old man finally reconciled

“Oh! You naughty boy! How can anybody ever be angry with you!” and the duo hugged again as Hwangbo watched over affectionately alongside Somin who couldn’t help but still feel flustered by the man’s dressing sense

As Paul released Hyunjoong, his eyes instantly fell on Somin. “So is she the one who stole my boy?” he remarked. Somin felt nervous as Hyunjjoong chuckled

“She is…simple…what did you see in her?” Old Paul commented snobbishly eyeing Hyunjoong. Somin felt even more nervous. Though Paul was weird he seemed to be very close to Hyunjoong and very important. So far, everyone close to Hyunjoong had openly accepted Somin so she never had to worry about that aspect. But Paul held a different opinion; an opinion Somin herself agreed and feared of.

A thousand thoughts and fear started popping in Somin’s head, when suddenly Old Paul started roaring with laughter. Old Paul came forward and cupped Somin’s face “You’re extraordinary sweetheart” he said and kissed her forehead

“Somin-ah..” Hwangbo said walking upto Somin and giving her an assurance shake ”Dont mind him…he’s a prankster! This old hag is always goofing around” Hwangbo said pressing Paul’s nose like a button

Somin sighed in relief

“He has the craziest and the most creative brain in the industry!” Hyunjoong came forward and swung his hand around Paul’s shoulders “It was this weirdo who paired us up in WGM”

“Really?” Somin asked, totally intrigued

“Ooooh Yeaaah!” Paul wiggled and spun his head to the beat of DJ music “Atfirst everyone was like ‘Paul you’re crazy’ ‘This will never work’ but…” he flipped his hands and pointed one at Hyunjoong and the other at Hwangbo “Ssangchu couple is the most memorable WGM couple EVER!” he rolled his eyes proudly “Oh my tumbler feed is still flooded with Ssangchu pics!”

“Well its time they gave up on their fantasy” Youngsaeng suddenly appeared from behind and hugged Hwangbo “Cause I am her Shillang now” he winked and shared a quick peck with Hwangbo

“And this is my Buin!” Hyunjoong swiftly claiming Somin declared raising his glass of wine

Paul smiled and nodded as he saw the his two unlikely pair finally finding their soulmate. He didn’t admit it publicly but he was the first Ssangchu lover and had always secretly wanted Hwangbo and Hyunjoong to be together. That’s why when the show ended and Hwangbo was heartbroken because Hyunjoong didn’t return her feelings, he felt somewhat guilty.

Both of them had tried to convince him otherwise but he never truly forgave himself. Today when he finally saw them with Somin and Youngsaeng he finally felt at peace. But his dream still remained unfulfilled--his wish of bringing two lovers  together; to witness two strangers fall in love.

“Talking of WGM, I heard you guys are prepping for a new season right?” Hyunjoong asked

“Yeah..my last one” Paul said with a sigh

“Wait..” “No” “What?” Everyone was shocked by the announcement

“Paul…why? Wasn’t WGM your dream project? “ Hyunjoong went to his side

“Yea Paul…wasn’t it your dream to witness people falling in love; to watch everything from square one?” Hwangbo inquired with worry

“It was, it still is.” Paul said shaking his head and hands in exhaustion “But its been 4 seasons...things have become so commercialized now… plus these kids these days…emotions feelings really don’t seem to matter to them…just give them a big paycheck and they’ll do anything…there’s no integrity left…I guess this little dream will remain unfulfilled” he sighed

Everyone was disappointed. None wanted Paul to give up but they had to agree things werent the way Paul wanted it to be. The essence of the show was lost.

“Paul…don’t worry..your dream will come true…you still have this season…maybe fifth time will be the charm” Somin said and hugged him.

Paul felt a strange comfort in Somin’s words and embrace. It strangely ignited hope in him which he was sure he had lost. Just then, as he stood in Somin’s embrace, his eyes suddenly fell on two people standing at the corner of the roof. As he looked on at the two people talking, he noticed there was a strange familiarity in their estrangedness. The two seemed to be bickering but despite their arguments they felt two pieces of the same puzzle.

As soon as Somin released him, he asked “Who are they?”

The gang turned and looked at the couple Paul was pointing at

“Why…that’s Jihoo and Jandi” Youngsaeng said

Paul controlled the excitement inside him lest he would get disappointed again. But this time, he could feel it, he knew he has finally found the lovers of his dreams
