Mrs. Kim’s POV~

I look into my daughter’s eyes and I could see the spark of happiness she’s had ever since she met Tiffany. How that girl has changed my Taengoo so much surprises me. Taeyeon was always a serious and quiet child. She was never good at expressing herself as nobody had the patients to understand her.  With business parents and a brother who only worried about her father, who had the time? Even Taecyeon couldn’t break the cold barrier she’s inherited from her father, but somehow this girl managed to. I glance over at Tiffany and she smiles at me. Not just any smile, an eye smile full of warmth and innocence. Just seeing her smile fills me with happiness as I smile back at her.

“The Car is outside” Taeyeon says to me as she grabs my luggage bags. Tiffany walks over and grabs my other bag from her. “Thanks” Taeyeon says with a charming smile. I couldn’t help but stare in awe at them.

We sit in the car as the driver drives us to their apartment. I couldn’t help but smile as I saw them secretly hold hands thinking I wasn’t looking. I decide to tease them a bit.

“So how have you two been?” I ask suddenly. They both look at each other before Taeyeon answers. These two, do they think they can hide things from me?

“Good umma. Tiffany is in the school’s softball team and I’m still dancing” Taeyeon says with a small smile.

“That’s great! I bet you have a lot of fan boys now like Taengoo here right Fany?” I say causing Fany to smile awkwardly at me. She blushed at my question.

“Ani, Umma. Nothing like that” she looks down embarrassed. I couldn’t help but notice her glance at Taeyeon after she said that.

We arrive at the apartment and I smile as I see the many pictures of Taeyeon and Tiffany. From childhood to now could be seen. The girls set my luggage down as they observe me. “I’m going to make some tea” Tiffany says as she walks to the kitchen. I smile to her and continue looking; Taeyeon stood at the door observing me. I stop in my tracks when I come across a specific picture. I smile as I grab the frame. “This picture” I say out loud as my fingers trail the border of the frame. “It reminds me of your father.” Taeyeon approaches me and places her palm on my shoulder. I look back at her and she smiles at me. “Let’s go have some tea” She says giving my shoulder a gentle squeeze.

After Tea the girls take me to their guest room for me to stay. I guess the girls sleep in the same room since the apartment only had two bedrooms. “So you two share rooms?” I ask even though I already knew the answer. Tiffany smiles awkwardly to me and nods. “Dae Umma, we have bunk beds” she says happily. I walk into my room and smile. “Well girls, thank you for everything. I think I’m going to shower and nap.” I say as I stretch a little. I was tired from the long plane ride after all. “Ah yeh” Taeyeon says looking at her wrist watch. “It’s late and you have to be at the mansion early.”

I lay in bed thinking of everything that has happened in my life. I married the love of my life. I gave birth to two brilliant children but sadly, they inherited their father’s personality. I traveled the world seeking life but only found emptiness. After my second round trip I realized, I still loved the man I married years ago but the bond we had was long lost so we decided to go our separate ways. Kim Seung wasn’t born cold hearted. Before his father passed away he was the sweetest thing to me. There was never a frown on his face as love came out of him from everywhere. However, his father raised him to be cold and after his death, Seung became just like him.  Siwon was just 8 at the time but he was already like his grandpa since he was around the old man a lot. Taeyeon however, was a sweet girl. Quiet but sweet; always smiling when nobody was looking. I wonder how she will deal with this crazy marriage Seung has arranged?

I walk to the kitchen feeling rather thirsty. It was already late as I try to go downstairs as quietly as possible. I was making my way down the stairs when I heard familiar voices; whispering. I stop in my tracks and hid in the dark to be unseen.

Third person’s POV~

“Tae, would you really do that for me?” Tiffany asked as she leaned on Taeyeon’s shoulder. The two girls sat at their downstairs window. They had a small bench with a few pillows where they both shared when they star gazed at night.

“Of course I would. I would bring the moon down to you if you’d ask for it.” Taeyeon said dorkily as she gave Tiffany’s forehead a quick peck.

“You know that’s impossible my little astronaut” Tiffany said as she laid her back on Taeyeon’s chest with a big grin. She loved when Taeyeon talked sweetly to her.

“Nothing is impossible for Kim Taeyeon when it comes to her love for Tiffany hwang!” Taeyeon said a little loud making Tiffany shush her.

“shhhhh, you will wake up umma” Tiffany said as she giggled a little she gave Taeyeon an eskimo kiss and giggled as their noses touched.

“I can’t help it” Taeyeon said with a grin. “You drive me insane.”

“dork” Tiffany said as interlaced hands with Tae.

“Only for you” Taeyeon replied as she pulled Tiffany back to lie on her chest. She placed her chin on top of Tiffany’s head and interlaced their fingers. She smiled and complete happiness could be seen.

Ms.kim watched the girls from afar. A smile was plastered on her face as she saw her daughter shine with love. Not just she, Tiffany shined as well.  “you were right Max Hwang” She whispered to herself as she quietly made her way upstairs. “I suddenly don’t feel thirsty anymore.” And with that she went to bed.
