So I know I’ve been gone for a while and I’m sorry for not updating D: to make up for it, I made this chapter a little longer so enjoy~

Taeyeon was walking down to the softball field after her track practice to pick up tiffany. She couldn’t help but feel as she was being watched all day. Not seeing anyone observing her, she shrugged her shoulders thinking her mind was just playing tricks on her.

Taeyeon’s POV

I was making my way down to the softball field when I saw my beautiful girlfriend swinging her bat smoothly, yet strongly. Her eyes full of determination as bits of perspiration could be seen on her face.  I couldn’t help but smile and stare lovingly at her. Have I mentioned how in love I am with this girl? I giggled at my own thought as the short blonde, Sunny, approached me. A few of the underclassmen players’ were fangirling of the fact that I was there.

“I see you’re here for your princess” She said to me with a smirk. I couldn’t help but smile a little.

“Is practice almost over?” I ask her as I look at my watch. I was supposed to be at the airport in 20 minutes.

“Just a few more minutes. Wae? Got somewhere to be?” She asked me curiously.

“Kind of” I said as I put my hands in my pocket. “But I can wait.”

“No need” She said with a smile. “Since Fany’s been practicing hard all day, I guess I can let her leave a few minutes early” She said with a wink as she made her way towards the cage near tiffany. “Fany, your dismissed” Sunny said earning a few whines from the girls around. “Hey hey, when you work as hard as your Fany unnie, maybe, just maybe, I’ll let you leave early” Sunny said to them. I couldn’t help but smile at my hardworking love.

“Wae? There is no need. I’m almost done batting and we only have a few more minutes left” Tiffany said, unaware of my presence. I smiled, knowing that she probably forgot we had to be at the airport after school. When it came to softball, everything else didn’t matter at the moment. She lived to bat.

“Okay, I’ll just tell Taeyeon that-“

“Taeyeon?!?” Tiffany whipped her head around to see me as soon as she heard my name. I couldn’t help but to giggle silently at how adorable she looked. I smiled to her. “Continue practicing, I’ll watch” I said as I sat myself on a nearby bench. She nodded and finished up her batting. Suddenly the other girls got up, wanting to practice again. They kept throwing glances at me but I was only focused on Tiffany.

“I see you have all the attention out here” Jessica said with a smirk as she sat next to me, taking a sip from her water. “I better not catch you staring at anyone else but Tiff” She whispered to me with a glare.

“Tiff? Since when are you two so close?” I ask curiously.

“Since a while back”

I look up to find Tiffany staring down at me with her eye smile. She took off her cap, letting her curls to bounce on her shoulders. “Hi Tae” She said giving me another warm smile melting my heart.

“You know, you have love written all over your face when you’re near Tiffany” Jessica whispers to me as she walks away. “Just looking at her and your already obvious.”

I couldn’t help but blush causing tiffany to giggle a bit. “let’s go” She said slinged her bag around her shoulder grabbing ahold of my hand. She pulled me away off towards the parking lot.

Sunny’s POV

I watched as the two love birds left the field all happily and bubbly. Their love and friendship was so similar to mines and Sooyoung’s I couldn’t help but smile at the thought of her. I was stacking the bats when the conversation between some underclassmen caught my attention.

“Tiffany unnie is so lucky to always be near Taeyeon”

“I know right? I wish Taeyeon would pay attention to me like she does to Tiffany unnie~”

“Keep dreaming! She only talks to a few people in this school and they’re all popular upperclassmen”

“But even captain sunny talks to her! And she’s average! What’s makes you say I don’t have a chance?”

“Come on brainiac, even Sunny has her share of popularity with boys for her cuteness”

“Oh yeah! I almost forgot”
 

I couldn’t help but giggle at all the fuss everyone makes over Taeyeon. Everyone thinks she’s mysterious and superior but to me she’s just an average girl. She may be very talented in almost every field but her personality is that of a regular person’s. My train of thought was broken by the conversation of my underclassmen player.

“But why Tiffany?” IU a freshman said.

“What do you mean?” Jiyeon a softmore replied.

“I mean, why would Taeyeon choose her out of everyone to be closest to? I heard they are even best friends” IU said angrily.

“I heard that too. But I also heard that they grew up together though Tiffany had to go back to the states for personal issues” another girl answers.
 

“I know but why Tiffany? I mean she’s also close to Amber Unnie and Yuri Unnie yet she chose Tiffany. She’s not that special. She’s very pretty and outgoing and a good baseball player but other than that she’s plain. Her grades aren’t even the best. Amber unnie is pretty too even for a tomboy. She’s athletic, she can rap, dance, and she has good grades. Better qualities than Tiffany. Same with Yuri” IU said angrily as she clenched her fists.

“Ooh I see someone is jealous” her friends .

“It’s true and you know it! *blush* I just don’t see what’s so special about Tiffany Hwang” IU replied as she looked away.

“You’re just upset she took the spotlight this year. Weren’t you planning on showing off your skills to Taeyeon?” one of her friends said. She looked down unable to respond so I decided to break them up.

“Okay girls, chit chat is over, go home before it gets dark” I said to them. The nodded and went their separate ways only IU didn’t move an inch; lost in thought.

“Something the matter IU-shii?” I asked politely snapping her out of her daze.

“Ah no sorry” She said bowing a little before walking away but she stopped midway and turned around causing me to raise an eyebrow. “Can I ask a favor?”

I looked at her wonderingly before nodding my head in approval.

“You think I can stay and practice a little longer?”

Her question caught me off guard. I was about to answer her but she beat me to it.

“It’s okay if I can’t” She said looking at the floor. I sighed as I looked at my watch. Heck, I still had an hour before I was supposed to meet up with Sooyoung after her cramming class. Spying on Taeyeon all the time caused her grades to drop making her stay for tutoring.

“Sure why not.”

At the airport, no one’s POV

Tiffany and Taeyeon were waiting patiently for Mrs. Kim private jet to arrive.

“Do you think she will remember me, Tae?” Tiffany asks as she leans her head tiredly on Taeyeon’s Shoulder.

“How could she forget you? You practically lived with us” Taeyeon says with a smile. Tiffany played with Taeyeon’s finger as she slowly closed her eyes feeling tired. She was about to fall asleep when a familiar voice awoke her.

“Aigoo isn’t my Stephanie baby going to greet me?”

Upon hearing the voice, Tiffany opened her eyes and smiled. She got up and gave Mrs. Kim a warm hug.

“Umma!!” She exclaimed as she flung her arms around the woman. “I missed you so much!”

“Umma missed you too baby” Ms. Kim said happily and hugged Tiffany back.

Tiffany let go of Mrs. Kim and Mrs. Kim turned to look at Taeyeon. She placed her palm on Taeyeon’s cheek. “My child” She said with a smile before pulling her in for a hug. Taeyeon slowly raised her hands up and hugged the woman who she loved and missed dearly.

“It’s been a while, umma.”
