“Softball game?” Taeyeon said confused. It was the end of fourth period before lunch when Sunny decided to look for Taeyeon. Taeyeon was chatting with Amber when Sunny came to talk to her about a softball game afterschool. “Yeah, Afterschool. You should come” Sunny said with a smile. Taeyeon looked at Sunny oddly. She barely knew Sunny so why should Sunny invite her to their game. “Don’t get the wrong idea, Tiffany told me to tell you.” Taeyeon nodded though she wondered why tiffany could of told her herself. “Oh yeah before I forget, She also said to not worry about looking for her for lunch. She said she was meeting up with someone.” Sunny said in a thinking pose. “Who?” Taeyeon asked a little too fast. Sunny smiled at this. She knew Taeyeon got Jealous easily. “I’m not Sure, She just told me oppa all giggly” Sunny said with a shrug. Taeyeon exhaled as she put her hands I her pocket. “Well if that is all I will be taking my leave then” Taeyeon said walking away. Amber smiled at Sunny Awkwardly before following after Taeyeon.

Taeyeon sat in the roof bench reading a book after she finished her meal. “Looks like Yul won’t be coming today either” She said closing her book. “Yeah, and she won’t answer my texts either” Amber said flipping through her phone messages. Taeyeon couldn’t help but feel worried. She got up making Amber raise an eyebrow. “Where are you going Tae?” Amber asked curiously. “To the pool to check if she’s there” Taeyeon said walking away. She stopped and turned back to look at Amber. “I’m sure you’ll be fine on your own. That hickey on your neck says you will” She said with a smirk walking down the stairs and disappearing. Amber covered the hickey with her hand and blushed. “Freaking Krystal, I told her no marks” She whispered to herself as she got up to look for her beloved princess.

Taeyeon made her way down the halls towards the pool lost in thought. She felt really bad for Yul because Jessica was marrying her brother. “Why is faith so cruel?” she whispered to herself. When she got to the pool she noticed it was empty. She walked in and made her way to the lockers to find Jessica sleeping on the floor hugging her knees. Dry tears were visible on her cheeks. Taeyeon sat next to the girl and waited for her to wake up. Minutes later Jessica opened her red eyes. She rubbed them as she let a sigh escape her lips. “Your finally awake” She heard a voice say to her. She stopped rubbing and whipped her head around. “Yul?” She said only to have her hopes broken. “Taeyeon” She whispered after she saw who the figure really was. “Hey” Taeyeon said with a soft smile. Jessica scanned her surroundings and noticed she was sitting on the floor of the locker room. “I guess I fell asleep” She said embarrassed. “What time is it?” Taeyeon looked at her wrist watch “12:15.” Jessica’s eyes widened. “No way, I slept that long!?” She said with a groan. “I slept through two classes.” Just then Jessica’s stomach growled making Jessica blush. Taeyeon couldn’t help but let out a chuckle. She got up and gave Jessica her hand to help the girl up. “Come on, I’ll buy you lunch” Taeyeon said with a smile. “We still have some time.” Jessica gave Taeyeon a small smile. “It’s okay I can get my own lunch. But thanks for the offer” She said smiling at Taeyeon’s kindness. “I insist” Taeyeon said with a smile. Jessica couldn’t help but smile. “Okay then” she said as she followed Taeyeon. “You look prettier smiling” Taeyeon said bluntly. She couldn’t wipe the image of Jessica falling asleep crying off her mind.

Jessica and Taeyeon were making their way in silence towards class after their lunch. Taeyeon managed to get a few laughs and smiles out of Jessica while enjoying their meal. As they made their way towards the classroom Taeyeon decided to break the silence. “Almost forgot to tell you” She said making Jessica turn around to look at her curiously. “After your softball game I’ve been ordered to take you somewhere so ill drop by your house later. Make sure you’re ready by 6” Taeyeon said looking straight ahead. “Where are we going?” Jessica said curiously. “It’s a secret” Taeyeon said with a smile as she continued looking ahead with her hands in her pockets. Jessica smiled at Taeyeon and said “you know, you aren’t as cold as you seem.” Taeyeon chuckled. “I’m actually not cold what so ever. I’m just the serious type” Taeyeon said as they made it to the senior quarters. Some of the seniors looked at Taeyeon curiously. Taeyeon was never at their quarters making them excited. “I’ll see you later than” Taeyeon said with a smile as she walked away.

Afterschool~

Taeyeon closed up the dance room feeling a little weird. “It’s as if I’m forgetting something” She thought to herself as she put her hands in her pocket walking towards the field. Suddenly Taecyeon came out of the nowhere. “Yo” he said to Taeyeon with a wide smile. “Of course, you!” Taeyeon said remembering what she forgot making Taecyeon raise an eyebrow. “Where have you been all day?” Taeyeon asked him. “With your brother” He said with a shrug. “Anyways, are you going to the softball game?” He asked cheerfully. “Yeah, Tiffany wants me to go” Taeyeon said as she began walking away. “Cool me too.” He said as he caught up to Taeyeon. As they were walking Taeyeon couldn’t help but see Taecyeon holding a pink letter in his hand. “What’s that?” She asked curiously. “A letter I received claiming an old friend of mine is here.” He said with a shrug. “By the looks of it it’s a girl” He said. “Obviously” Taeyeon said pointing at all the pink. “Are you jelly?” Taecyeon said teasingly. “Not in the slightest” Taeyeon said with a smile as Taecyeon pouted. When they got there Taeyeon spotted Tiffany and a smile crept onto her lips. “You go find us some seats. I’ll be back in a bit” Taeyeon said as she began walking over to the players. Taecyeon nodded as he spotted some of his friends and made his way towards them. Tiffany turned around when she heard footsteps near her. She immediately gave Taeyeon an eye smile and pulled her into a hug. “You came Tae!” She said happily. Taeyeon hugged Tiffany’s waist as Tiffany’s smile became contagious to where she was smiling as well. “How could I miss my mushroom’s first game” Taeyeon whispered into Tiffany ear making Tiffany blush lightly. “Quit it love birds, Tiffany come warm up” Sunny said with a wink. Tiffany glared at Sunny while Taeyeon’s face burned slightly red. “Yes midget captain” Tiffany said playfully earning a glare for Sunny. “Yah! I’ll make you run 5 laps before the game!” Sunny threatened. Tiffany gave her an apologetic smile before turning her attention to Taeyeon again. “I’ll see you later Tae Tae, wish me luck” Tiffany said with a smile. Before she could walk away Taeyeon pulled Tiffany into a hug and pecked her forehead quickly. “Fighting mushroom” Taeyeon said as she walked off. Tiffany was left standing there like an idiot. Taeyeon on the other hand hid behind the bleachers as she scolded herself. “What the hell am I doing?” She asked herself.

As Taeyeon was looking for Taecyeon She noticed Yuri sitting at the end of the bleachers by herself. She looked over at Taecyeon who was busily chatting away with his friends not bothering to even look at the field. “I don’t think he will mind” Taeyeon said as she made her way towards Yuri. She walked behind the girl making sure she wasn’t seen. “Hey Yul” Taeyeon said sitting next to her making Yuri jump a little. “WAH- Taeyeon you scared me” Yuri said putting her hand over her heart. Taeyeon chuckled as she stared at the field. “Why are you sitting here all by yourself?” Taeyeon asked her, her eyes not leaving the field. “I don’t even know why I’m even here” Yuri responded staring at the field. Taeyeon glanced at Yuri and followed Yuri’s gaze. Her heart sank when she noticed Yuri was staring at Jessica. She didn’t bother to ask any more questions as the two sat comfortable silence staring ahead. Just then the two girls saw amber being pulled away by a black haired girl. “Guess the whole gang is here” Yuri said emotionless. “I’m not surprised to see you guys here though.” Taeyeon sat there silently as she listened to Yuri. “You’re here because of Tiffany. Amber is here because Krystal is here. Krystal is here because her older sister is here”  “and you’re here because Jessica is playing” Taeyeon said cutting Yuri off. She looked over at the silent Yuri. “I guess you’re right.” Yuri said with a sad smile. “I’m hopeless though” Yuri said getting up. “Where are you going?” Taeyeon asked. “I don’t know” Yuri shrugged as she walked down the bleachers and away from the field.

The game went smoothly as the Soshi girls and the rival team was tied. Tiffany was up to bat as Taeyeon watched her curiously. It was up to Tiffany to determine the winning score. Tiffany walked up to the plate and took her bat. She looked over at the bleacher to find Taeyeon mouthing the words ‘fighting’ and couldn’t help but smile. She took her stance and focused on the ball. Determination flaring in her eyes. “You can do it Tiffany!” Sunny yelled in encouragement as some of the members joined in. “bring Seo baby home!” her teammates yelled again. Seohyun was on the third plate ready to run home for the winning point. The pitcher popped her gum as she signaled the catcher she was about to throw. Tiffany gripped her bat tightly. She focused on the ball remembering everything her mother taught her about softball before she passed away.  She was ready to give it her all. The pitcher got in position ready to throw the ball. She pulled back as she threw it with full strength. ‘It’s a ball’ Tiffany thought as she moved back. The ball was low as the pitcher thought of striking Tiffany her first out. “Ball!” The ref yelled. Tiffany examined the force used by the pitcher to ready herself for the next hit. The pitcher positioned herself as she pulled back to throw the ball. She threw the ball with force towards tiffany. ‘This is it’ Tiffany thought as she gripped the bat tightly. She swinged her bat to hit the ball with full force. The ball went flying into the air as Seohyun ran for home. “Home run” the ref yelled as the ball flew over the fence. All the players on the field ran home and hugged Tiffany picking her up. “We did it!” they yelled as the crowd roared. The other team congratulated them as they bid farewell for their leave.

After the game, many people and teammates congratulated the team. Sunny was hugging Tiffany when Taeyeon approached. “Hmm I think I see Soo” Sunny said with a wink leaving Tiffany alone. Taeyeon walked up and hugged Tiffany. “You were great” She said sincerely. Tiffany couldn’t help but smile as she hugged Taeyeon back. “Thanks I was a bit nervous to be honest” Tiffany said with an eye smile. They broke the hug but unconsciously held onto each other’s hands. They looked into each other’s eyes lovingly. Taecyeon saw this as he approached them. ‘Something feels weird about those two’ he thought to himself. “Taec” a feminine voice caught his attention. He looked to his side and his eyes widened. “Yoong?!” He said surprised. Yoona walked up to him and smiled. “It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”

Jessica packed her stuff as she was making her way towards the exit. She bid her teammates goodbye. “You’re leaving so soon Unnie?” Seohyun asked her. Jessica nodded. “Yes, I have some business to attend” Jessica said with a smile. “I think your friends are here” She pointed at a group of girls walking up to them. Just then Krystal and amber appeared behind the girls hand in hand and walked up to Jessica. They didn’t say anything as Krystal walked up to Jessica and hugged her. “you did great out there” Krystal said in the hug. Jessica couldn’t help but smile. “Thanks Krys” She said breaking the hug. Amber came up to her and hugged her as well. “You need to work on your charm. You look a bit scary when you’re focused” Amber said teasingly. “Yah” Jessica said with a glare that was quickly replaced with a smile. “Make sure Krys makes it home safe you llama!” Jessica said with a wink. “I’ll be going now” Before they could say anything Jessica walked off towards her car. On her way there she saw Yuri sitting on a bench lost in thought. ‘She came after all’ Jessica thought to herself. Yuri turned around and saw Jessica heading to her car. She got off the bench and made her way towards the blonde. “You did well out there” Yuri said with a small smile. Jessica turned around and looked a Yuri. “Thanks” She said trying to avoid eye contact. Right when she was about to open her car door, Yuri stopped her. “Do you need something?” Jessica said coldly. Yuri pushed Jessica on the car door as she got in front of her putting both her hands on the side of Jessica’s head. “You.”
