We walked back to the apartment block at 4am and stood outside my door. I looked up at him and felt butterflies in my stomach. Both of us just stood there for a few minutes, and the silence was so palpable and awkward, I wanted to die of embarassment. He was staring at me intensely, his beautiful brown eyes smouldering ily. My pale skin reddened slightly and he smiled.

"Thank you." He said softly. I glanced up and stammered "T-thank you... for what?"

"For listening to me." 

I smiled softly and said "No worries."

I slowly became aware of how fast my heart was beating. Suddenly, he leaned in and kissed me on the forehead. His cool soft lips gently touched my forehead and I felt my entire face burn. I inhaled sharply and his scent rushed into me. He smelled lovely. He let go of me and we stared at each other. Out of nowhere, I summoned my entire courage and tiptoed. I kissed him gently on the cheek and he widened his eyes.

I quickly jumped back down and stammered "Bye!" before rushing in and slamming my door.

Sehun remained rooted on the spot, staring at my closed door. He could still feel the warmth of her on his cheek and he smiled. Tenderness was evident in his eyes as he slowly turned back and walked to his door.

I ran into my bedroom and jumped on my bed. I buried my head into my pillows and tried to calm myself down. I couldn't stop the fluttering feeling in my stomach and when I glanced in my mirror, my face was still a deep red. I looked out of the window, the stars were still glittering in the sky, as if they were reassuring me what just happened was real. 

I woke up the next morning and hurriedly got dressed in a black leather jacket, white singlet and jeans. I stepped out of my apartment and he was there. I smiled at him. "Good morning." He looked at me and said "Morning." He was dressed in a black leather jacket, a white v-neck and jeans. I blushed when I realized we matched. He looked at my outfit and the same realization dawned in his eyes. 

He smiled at me and I felt slightly dazzled. "We match." 

I said slowly "I can go and change." He shook his head and said "Nah, it's okay." Both of us walked to school together and when we reached there, I could feel hordes of girls gathering around us, like they do every day. All of them were stunned and most of them were furious at our matching outfits. I heard their angry whispers and hunched my shoulders. Sehun glanced at me and worry surfaced in his eyes.

We went to homeroom and class started.

"Class," our teacher began. "There's a new student." Everyone piped up in interest and the teacher smiled knowingly. "He's from Mulholland International and I hope everyone will treat him well."

Mulholland International. It was famous for being one of the most prestigious schools in Korea. You have to be really smart, talented and rich to be able to enter this school. It had been spoken reverently by many teachers as the Holy Grail of schools and there were even some people who commited suicide because they weren't accepted into that school. I furrowed my brow. Why would someone from Mulholland International want to transfer to Seoul International? Seoul International was really prestigious too, but Mulholland International was a legend. 

Just then, the door opened and a handsome tall boy entered the classroom. All the girls in class started squealing like mad fangirls and even the teacher appeared flustered. I widened my eyes in shock and recognition. 

Luhan stood in the classroom. He was dressed in a brown camel jacket, black v-neck and jeans. An Alexander McQueen messenger bag dangled off his slim muscular shoulder and a Perregaux watch glittered on his wrist. He landed his eyes on me and smiled warmly. Ignoring everyone else, he smiled softly and said "Hello, Ji-eun." 

Everyone looked at me, including Sehun. I smiled back hesitantly and said "Luhan ah, I can't believe you transferred here."

Luhan shrugged and said "Well, you're here."

Well, you're here...

Sehun's gaze darkened slightly. The teacher sensed the situation and hurried on "Come, Luhan, let's find you a seat." Luhan ended up sitting a few rows away from me. When class ended, he immediately jumped up and stood beside me. I gathered my books and said "Luhan, why are you here?" Luhan slinged an arm around me playfully, like he always did, and everyone in the class in a deep breath. I shifted nervously as he said "Why not? We're best friends and since you moved out, I barely see you anymore." There was a hint of loneliness in his voice and I felt guilty.

I said softly "I'm sorry, Luhan." He smiled and said "It's okay. Come! Let's go out for lunch."

I nodded and glanced at Sehun's empty seat. He had walked out the second class ended. I felt disappointment curl up my insides as I grabbed my bag and walked out with Luhan. We started laughing and talking jokingly, just like old times. 

Sehun stood in a corner and watched them walk away. His eyes darkened and a sour feeling worsened in his stomach. 

Head gets all hot, train running right through him, ball of fire in his chest, wants to rip the two of them apart.

So, this was how jealousy felt like.
