The next day at school, I sat down at my seat and studiously avoided all the curious stares and whispers directed at me. Even the teachers weren't so polite to me today, especially after knowing that my father's almighty empire had collapsed. In fact, I heard them taking bets over how long I would last in this school, given the extremely expensive school fees. I closed my eyes. I was dressed in a Givenchy white button down shirt and Chanel silk pants. I still had to maintain my impressive facade, even though it was already slowly crumbling around the edges.

Just then, Sehun walked in. I smiled and waved at him, and he smiled back. Last night had been super awkward, especially after he swiftly hugged me and begged me not to leave him. Things had been tense between us since then. I still didn't understand why he did that, and he himself seemed confused by his sudden action. 

I knew I wouldn't leave him though. I was too intertwined with him, to ever be able to do that.

He sat down next to me and the two of us started pretending to be really busy, staring at our textbooks, while occasionally shooting an awkward glance at each other. It would have been adorable, if I wasn't the one doing it.

At that moment, Luhan entered the classroom and beamed happily when he saw me. He plopped down on the other empty seat next to me and greeted me cheerfully. "Annyeong, Ji-eun ah!" I smiled and greeted him too. Sehun narrowed his eyes at him, but he remained quiet and resumed staring at his textbook.

While we were talking, Luhan kept touching me or holding my hand enthusiastically. I knew he didn't mean anything by that, but I could see Sehun's face getting blacker by the second. He still pretended to ignore us though, but the grim glimmer in his eyes made me feel that he was going to jump up and murder Luhan at any second. Luhan was oblivious to Sehun, however, and grabbed my hands again to state another point, his huge doe like eyes blinking innocently, yet with just a hint of slyness.

Kai entered the classroom too and immediately bounded over to me, and asked me when I would like to go out and eat with him again. I anxiously glanced at Sehun and noticed how his face had turned into a putrid hue. Kai was over enthusiastic, just like Luhan. Both of them kept chattering in my ears, occasionally excitedly grabbing my hands, until my mind turned blank and I just nodded dumbly to whatever they said, tuning out their voices.

They continued chatting to me when suddenly, Sehun jumped out of his seat and burst into a furious fit. "YAH! WHY ARE THE TWO OF YOU HERE? YOU BOTH ARE SO ANNOYING, YOU KNOW THAT RIGHT? WHY DO THE BOTH OF YOU TALK NON-STOP? WHY DO YOU FEEL THE NEED TO KEEP TOUCHING HER? BACK OFF."

Having said his piece, Sehun stormed out of the classroom.

The entire classroom turned deathly silent and looked at me. I felt like dying in the awkwardness. Kai and Luhan were still staring off in the direction that Sehun stormed off too, still shocked. I regained my senses and muttered "Excuse me" before running out after Sehun. I had no idea where he went, so I just wandered around the expansive school grounds for a while, trying to look for him.

After a short while, I managed to find him. He was standing at the school gazebo, staring off into the distance. He had his hands in his pockets and his face was still dark and brooding. I treaded lightly to him and patted his shoulder. "Yah, are you still mad?" He turned around and glowered at me. I flushed slightly and muttered "Why did you get mad though? They were just talking to me."

Sehun rolled his eyes and said "Just talking? Then what's with all the unnecessary touching? And you just let them do it!" His eyes smouldered at me and I felt a faint glee. I laughed again and poked him. "I didn't realize it'd piss you off so much. They're just my friends." He glowered again. "It's obvious that both of them clearly have feelings for you. You'd be daft to not realize that." 

I shrugged. "I wouldn't know whether they have feelings for me or not, since the only person I care about is you."

His shoulders relaxed slightly and a faint smile curled upon his lips. "Do you really mean that?"

I pretended to hesitate and shrug "Hmm... maybe not." His face suddenly turned from pleased to outrage and he grabbed my wrist and growled "What do you mean by 'maybe not'? I thought you said you liked me!" His voice transformed from a deep growl to a slightly childish whine and I giggled at his cuteness. He seemed to realize his faux pas and flushed slightly.

Just then, a sly glint appeared in his eyes and he grinned. "I guess I can just find out."

I raised my eyebrows. "Oh, really? And how so?"

He smiled devilishly and the next thing I knew, I was pinned against the wall of the gazebo, staring up at his beautiful brown eyes, my heart suddenly accelerating at an unnatural rate. 

He leaned in.
