What do you feel?
Falling In Love With Sehun.Luhan and I had lunch and walked back to his house. He said he needed to give me something and I wanted to visit my family mansion again. I haven't been there in a week. I also haven't spoken properly to my family for sometime, not that they cared.I stood outside Luhan's super grand mansion, and stared at my family's equally grand mansion next to it. My mansion looked so quiet and cold, just like my childhood. Thank goodness I had Luhan, but for Sehun.... A cold feeling rushed through me. I wished that I had met Sehun earlier, maybe then he wouldn't be so lonely and distant.
Luhan rushed out and handed me a paper bag. I opened it and looked inside. It was my favorite candy, specially from a sweet shop in London. Every time my dad went to London, I always pestered him to buy me a bag of them. They were so good and they always had a magical way of making me happy. My dad would actually pay attention to me and buy them, but as the years passed and his business grew bigger, he would always forget and when I asked him for them, he would tell me he had better things to do. Those memories rushed through me and I clenched my fists.
"Ji-eun?"
I snapped out of it and smiled briefly. "Thanks, Luhan. I can't believe you remembered that I love them." Luhan smiled at me warmly and said "How could I forget?" I stared at his handsome face and my attention span wandered for a moment. I had a ridiculously handsome best friend."Do you want to go back to your old house?" He asked me. I glanced at it and said coldly "No. What's the point? It never felt like a home anyway." Luhan hugged me tenderly and said "Ji-eun, don't be like this. You know that getting angry at your parents is useless."
I pushed him away and said coldly "Yeah, because they don't give a damn about me." He frowned and said "I rarely see my parents either but I realized that getting angry at them is pointless. I have a far better method."
I glanced at him curiously "And what is that?"
"I choose to ignore it..." He said quietly. "I speak to them when they speak to me, I listen to them when they expect me to listen, and I see them when I'm supposed to see them. Other than that, I just shut everything down and isolate myself from them completely. It works, you know."
I thought of Sehun's past and I said slowly "I guess you really can't choose your family members." There was an empty look in Luhan's eyes as he nodded. "People say it's better to let yourself feel and get hurt than not feel at all. But I beg to differ. I think it's better to not feel at all. That way, you'll never suffer."
His words rang in my mind and I thought about it seriously. We reached my apartment and Luhan stayed there for a while. We watched TV and chatted comfortably, like we always did. But I felt really agitated. I kept staring at the wall separating me and Sehun's apartments. I wondered what he was doing right now. Around 8pm, Luhan left and I walked out of my apartment. The lights in Sehun's apartment were off so I knew he wasn't at home. I leaned against the wall outside and closed my eyes, feeling the wind blow through my hair. I was only wearing a singlet and jeans, so I shivered slightly.
Just then, I felt a leather jacket being gently draped over me. I opened my eyes and looked up. He was standing there, looking at me. His jacket smelled lovely, just like him. I gazed at him and said quietly "Are you alright? You walked out of class so fast today."
He narrowed his eyes. "I wasn't happy."
"What weren't you happy about?"
His gorgeous eyes darkened and a hint of danger appeared in his tone. "I didn't like seeing you and... him so close together."
I widened my eyes in disbelief. "Luhan and I are childhood best friends, nothing more." I didn't know why but I felt a strong urge to explain Luhan and I's relationship to him, like I cared what he thought. Sehun looked at me and I felt my heart thud faster. "It certainly doesn't seem that way to him." I scoffed and said "Luhan treats me like a friend, nothing else. You're being ridiculous." I turned back and started to walk to my apartment. I haven't gone three steps before he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back to him.
He pushed me against the wall and leaned in. I sensed danger approaching and tried to struggle, but he had grabbed me in a vice grip and it was impossible to release myself.
Sehun's face looked impossibly handsome under the moonlight. He said quietly "I don't like seeing you two together."
I looked up and hissed "Why do you care?"
A hint of emotion surfaced in his eyes as he said "I get... jealous."
I widened my eyes in shock and just then, he kissed me. My entire body felt like it had gone limp. His lips were the softest thing I had ever felt. He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed me deeply.
I forgot to resist and leaned against him.
The moon glowed in the distance.
