You can't make her happy.
Falling In Love With Sehun.Sehun entered an office and looked around. It was all glass windows, steel tables and leather furniture. He saw a figure standing, his back facing him. He narrowed his eyes. Just then, the figure turned around. It was Lee Ji-suk, Ji-eun's father. Sehun felt an ominous feeling churning in the pits of his stomach. He knew that it wasn't going to be good news.
Lee Ji-suk appraised the tall, slender yet fit teenage boy in front of him. He was, indeed, very handsome. He had a flawless face and beautiful bone structure. However, he had a very cold icy look in his eyes, which gave him a bad boy look. Ji-suk could see what attracted his daughter to this boy in the first place. He broke the silence and said "You're Oh Se Jung's son, aren't you?
Sehun stiffened a bit and Ji-suk replied "It's okay if you don't answer me, I already know."
The man looked at Sehun again and said "You were probably abused by that bastard father of yours when you were young, weren't you? I know that he gives you a large amount of money every month, and in return, you vow to never see him again, didn't you? And I'm pretty sure you hate this 'deal' you have with him and I bet you wish he was gone from your life forever, right?"
Sehun didn't answer. He continued staring at the man emotionlessly.
"I can do that. I can sever your ties with that bastard. I can send you overseas and you can start a whole new life. You can have anything you want; a house, a car, go to a prestigous university, anything."
"However, in return, you must promise to never see my daughter again. You can't make her happy. You can't give her the things Luhan can. You were an abused child, you will never be able to understand her. You and her; the two of you are two worlds apart. You will never be able to provide for her. This is just a temporary infatuation, and I suggest you break things up with her and leave the country before things get worse."
You can't make her happy....
Lee Ji-suk took out an envelope and put it in front of Sehun. "There's a flight ticket and a cheque for 10 million dollars inside. If you want more money, just let me know. I'll send you an allowance of a million dollars every month too, this is just a starting number."
Sehun glanced at the money, his eyes darkening rapidly.
"How do you know my father?"
Ji-suk sneered and replied "Your father is the shadiest bastard I have ever come across. He is the one responsible for my current bankruptcy. He had some spies in my company and he managed to steal some vital development plans my company had been planning to advance, and he also convinced most of my investors to abandon me and invest in his company."
He looked at the handsome boy in front of him and added coldly "I don't think Ji-eun would be pleased if she knew that your father is the reason why I'm going bankrupt, wouldn't she? That's why I'm giving you a chance to redeem yourself. Break things up with her, leave, and never come back. Our conversation can remain a secret for eternity. I'll give you a week to think about your decision. I suggest that you take my advice and leave South Korea. I hear London's lovely this time of the year."
Sehun walked out of this office and out into the hallway. He didn't know what to do. He loved her, but like what her father said, he could never make her as happy as Luhan could. As much as he hated to admit it, he knew that Luhan was a far better selection than him. Luhan came from a rich influential family and was her childhood best friend; the perfect marriage partner.
He was from a broken home. He was an abused child.
The difference between them was too great.
He went around the corner and froze. Ji-eun and Luhan were standing in the hallway, laughing and chatting happily. Ji-eun was happily talking about something to Luhan, and he was just staring at him, love and affection evident in his eyes. He suddenly burst out into laughter and patted Ji-eun's head. Ji-eun pouted, her beautiful eyes sparkling with mischief as she whispered something to Luhan. Luhan blanched visibly and she burst out laughing. Luhan flushed slightly and smiled. The two of them remained standing in the hallway, smiling at each other, oblivious to Sehun that was standing at the other end of the hallway, staring at them with a dead look in his eyes.
Sehun turned around and walked away, clutching the envelope Ji-eun's father gave him even tighter in his fist.
Like he never wanted to let it go.
