"Father, what the hell is going on?"

I cornered my father the moment he entered the mansion. I was so furious, my entire face had turned a ghastly pale. I was known to turn pale when I was furious, and it wasn't something that happened often. My father straightened the lapel of his Armani suit and said slowly, moving his gaze away. "What on earth are you talking about, Lee Ji-eun?"

"Are you spying on me? Are you spying on Sehun? Don't lie to me, I saw the photos on your desk. What's wrong with you? Why would you do that? Since when do you care about what I do!?"

My father sneered and looked at me coldly. "You shouldn't believe that 'boyfriend' of yours. He's hiding things from you."

"..... You're lying. I don't believe you."

"Ask him then. Ask him whose father it was that caused me to be bankrupt. Ask him who was it that accepted a cheque from me to leave this country, to leave you, and never come back again. If you don't believe me, ask him. He's too guilty to lie."

"He would never do that to me. You're lying."

"Why are you standing here arguing with me when you could be asking him? Go find him and ask him. Then come back and tell me whether you still think that I'm lying to you."

"He would never do that to me."

"You'll be surprised to know what people can hide and what they choose to show."

Sehun walked back to his apartment, a plastic bag looped around his slender wrist. It was a quiet evening, and the sky seemed to sparkle with some unknown substance. He went to his door and paused. His eyes widened slightly. 

Lee Ji-eun was standing in front of him. She was wearing a knitted sweater and skinny jeans that seemed to emphasize her long lean figure. Her face was pale and it scared him. He had never seen her as pale as this. She glanced at him and he felt a premonition coming up, like he knew why she was here, like he knew what she was going to say.

But when she spoke, it was something completely different.

"Let's run away together."

Sehun felt the blood in his veins froze. Everything seemed to have defied the natural law of physics, and just... froze. He stared into her beautiful pleading eyes and he felt like he was going to hell.
