The days passed slowly for the long lived demons, especially those weary hearts who were trying so hard to live without the other half. One was miserable like no other while the other was trying to go on like normal.

He was looking at her from afar, his eyes never left her even for a second whenever he can be near her. He would let those tear-filled eyes wonder for her as she smiled for someone else while he cannot even let a tiny curve form on his lips, punishing his self. Is it too late for us? He asked his self as he stared at Seunghyun teaching Seol a new song with his guitar.

“Yep, then Abm comes next.” Seunghyun said to Seol.

“How do you do that chord again?” Seunghyun then stood up and went behind her. He guided Seol’s fingers along the frets, letting their hands touch each other.

“There.” Seunghyun said contentedly at his work and Seol strummed the chord and nodded with full understanding.

Seol then played the entire song while Seunghyun hummed softly in the background. From time to time, both of them will look at each other and let out a soft smile and they repeat this process until the song ended. The strings’ notes came to an end but all Jaejin could hear was his heart breaking in pieces as he watched the whole scene without even missing anything for a second.

“Did I make a mistake?” Seol asked Seunghyun and he shook his head and smiled widely at her.

“You did great.” He praised her and she was satisfied with it. “Seol, are you…are you..” He hesitated while Seol waited for him to continue and so did Jaejin. “Are you free tonight?”

“Hmmm… I have lessons to take though.”

“What lessons?”

“Power and spells.”

“Oh.” He just said disappointedly and Seol noticed this.

“I would’ve taken both now if only they’re home.” She said but the disappointment on Seunghyun’s face was still distinct and this bothered her. She never liked seeing Seunghyun not smiling. Even when she was a fan girl, it was his smile that caught her eyes and right now it was nowhere to be found. “Why did you ask by the way?” She knew the boy was up to something.

 “It’s nothing.” He lied and she didn’t buy it.

“You wouldn’t ask if it’s nothing. Come on tell me what it is.”

“Really it’s nothing.”

“Seunghyun,”

“Is it really okay?”

“Yes, go ahead.”

He sighed the nervousness away and he looked slowly at Seol who was waiting patiently for him. “Can we go out tonight?” The words stumbled when it came out from his lips but Seol understood it and she giggled. “Why are you laughing?” Seunghyun felt embarrassed as Seol continued giggling who was amused because of the younger demon.

“Sure we can go out tonight.” She then smiled to him and he blushed immediately. “You have to wait for my lessons to end though.” She reminded him and he nodded.

“Of course! Of course! I will wait for you.”

Despite the happiness of the two demons, another was hurting from a distance. She’s getting farther and farther away. He thought as he left the two and dragged his self to his room, no energy to continue.  He dropped his self on his bed and stared blankly at the wall, thinking about Seol and Seynghyun; the way they talk to each other, the way they smile at each other, the way Seunghyun looks at Seol and the way Seol accepts everything from Seunghyun.

“Where’s Jaejin?” Hongki said as he looked around the place for Jaejin.

“I don’t know. I haven’t seen him yet.” Seol who was with him was looking for him as well. “Didn’t even know he was home.” She admitted and Hongki just shook his head to her.

“If you want our lessons to be finished early, we must find Jaejin soon.”

“I know. Where is that guy when you need him?”

“Ya, he’s your boyfriend. He is not just that guy.”

“In the past I cannot remember. Is he not in his room?” Seol then walked away, leaving Hongki with the argument and marched her way to Jaejin’s room. All Hongki could do was follow. “Go knock.” She told him and he stared at her unbelievingly.

“Why me? You’re the one asking for a favor.” Hongki said irritatingly but she just stood there and stared at Hongki. “Really now?  You’re being unreasonable. Why do you want to do the lessons now in the first place?” He argued with her.

“None of your business. Just go knock on that guy’s room.”

“For the nth time, he’s your—“

“Can you stop saying that?”

“But it’s the truth.”

“I can’t even remember that truth you’re saying!” She snapped, her voice raised and Sophia who was just passing by overheared their argument.

“What’s wrong?” She asked, being curious and taken aback at the same time.

“Nothing. I just snapped. I’m sorry. Could you please please please call Jaejin now?” Seol said to Hongki and he just shook his head and knocked on the door.

“Jaejin, are you here?” No response. He knocked again. “Jaejin?”

After a few more seconds the three of them watched how the door slowly opened and Jaejin appeared from it, looking lifeless. “Why? What’s up?”

Hongki then pushed Seol in front of Jaejin . He looked at her as she fidgeted around and almost smacked Hongki but she didn’t continue. While he was looking at her, he couldn’t help but let out a soft painful smile. She was just too adorable for him, he thought.

“Can we do our lessons now?” She asked coldly and the soft smile form Jaejin turned into a bitter one as he looked away and inhaled deeply before answering.

“Okay. I’m sure you don’t want to keep Seunghyun waiting for your date right?” He said to her casually but in fact, pain was distinct in his eyes as he headed back to his room. Seol was surprised that Jaejin knew about the date with Seunghyun but she hid her reaction. “You guys go to the field first. I’ll follow. I’ll just change.” He then closed his door, leaving Hongki and Sophia startled, staring at Seol unbelievingly.

“What date? With Seunghyun?” Sophia asked her and Seol just looked away and shrugged. “Seol, YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND. THAT MEANS YOU JUST DON’T GO OUT WITH ANYONE, AND ESPECIALLY NOT YOUR BOYFRIEND’S FRIEND.” Sophia started to rage and all Seol could do was avoid her accusing stare.

“That’s what I told her too”, Hongki mumbled while examining his girlfriend’s every movement in case she would explode.

“I will not have this talk again.” Seol simply said, turning around. Sophia tried to grab her and hold her back but Hongki stopped her before she could.

“Leave her alone. She’s confused. She doesn’t have her memories back.” Hongki reasoned out while Seol left for the field.

“I don’t like this. I really don’t. What is Seunghyun doing?”

“I don’t know. Let’s just leave them alone and let the two of them solve their own problems.”

“If we do that, nothing will happen except for everybody getting hurt. This isn’t right ok? This isn’t how it’s supposed to be. I’ll go talk to Seunghyun.”

“Sophia, I told you not to get in the middle of this.”

“I’ll just talk to Seunghyun that’s all.” She then started walking away to look for Seunghyun and didn’t let Hongki stop her.

“I know you very well. You will not do anything, you hear me?” Hongki shouted over but Sophia just ignored Hongki and still went on her way. He couldn’t help but shake his head and followed her.

Sophia then looked for Seunghyun and found him on the field with Seol, the two of them were sitting quietly under the stars next to each other. She marched her way to them and both Seunghyun and Seol stood up from their seats when they saw angry Sophia making her way towards them.

Hongki, who was also on his way to the field, saw Sophia walking towards Seol and Seunghyun. He made a ran for it and grabbed Sophia even before she could get closer. “Didn’t I tell you to not get into their issue?” Hongki was really annoyed. He wasn’t the type to actually dictate people on what to do but right now it was too much for him.

“What do you want me to do? Sit around and wait for Jaejin and Seol to break up for real? She’s only acting this way because she has no memories. I just want to knock in some sense in her head!” Sophia turned around to Hongki, trying to get off of his strong grip.

“That’s really not your damn problem anymore! Jaejin made a mistake and he knows that. Why do you think he’s just sitting around and does nothing? Because he’s guilty for it and he’s punishing himself for it. It’s a thing between those two, or better three, stop meddling with every little thing you can get a hold on!”

“Well I’m sorry but Jaejin’s just being stupid with this whole Oh-god-I-made-a-mistake-I’m-so-guilty-I’ll- just-drown-myself-in-my-hole-of-misery. The only thing he achieves with this is growing more and more distant from Seol. What if they lose their love after all? Do you want to see that? They are made for each other and they can’t exist without each other you know that very well. If I don’t help them now it might be lost forever, so let me just give them a little push.”

“Sophia, there is a limit to where we can help them. Stop being so freaking stubborn and nosy like you always are and listen to me even for once. You always know everything better for god’s sake, hasn’t the thought that youmight not be always right never crossed your narrowed mind?! God damn it!” Hongki yelled loudly. Sophia just blinked at him, being surprised by the sudden anger. Seol and Seunghyun were rather left speechless by seeing the couple fighting and all they could do was continue staring at them.

 Jaejin who got ready and was on the way towards the lesson was already hearing the fight. He was at the other end of the field as he watched the entire argument went on.

Seol’s and Jaejin’s eyes met and they both stared at each other for a while. Seunghyun noticed this but just continued standing next to Seol while Seol and Jaejin were exchanging a silent conversation, their eyes being locked.

“Woah you are really mad aren’t you?” Sophia suddenly smiled as she noticed how dead serious Hongki actually was. She scanned him, noticing his red face, his angry eyes and his clenched fists. The others returned their attention to the couple and watched in surprise how Sophia suddenly started to laugh, jumping around Hongki and shaking him from all sides to cheer him up. “You’re so cute when you’re mad, you know.” She laughed at him, stopping in front of him and resting her heads on his tensed shoulders. Hongki just stared at her for a moment but couldn’t keep up with his anger, breaking out into a smile and shaking his head in disbelief. He couldn’t help but giving up on her.

“You’re really stubborn.” He said, pulling her into a hug.

“That’s what you like about me.” Sophia said while rubbing his back and returning his smile.

“Hey Seol, can we have the lessons at the original schedule instead? I need to talk to this girl really badly.” Hongki shouted over Sophia’s shoulder.

Seol then turned to Seunghyun, looking for an okay signal and he nodded his head. “It’s okay, we understand.” Seol said to them and Sophia approached them, dragging Hongki along with her.

“Don’t do anything you might regret in the future.” She warned the two of them. “And be thankful to Hongki, he took my anger on behalf of you”, she said while turning around.

They watched the couple as they walked across the field. Jaejin’s and Seol’s stares were locked again on each other. Jaejin’s eyes were full of meaning, full of feelings of regret and longing. While her eyes were filled with questions, was she really doing the right thing? She started doubting her decision when she saw the couple fighting; the things they said about them, the way the couple easily made up after such heated argument, Sophia’s warning, all of these got Seol thinking.

When Sophia and Hongki passed by Jaejin he removed his gaze off of her and left. Seol was left with Seunghyun as she watched their backs disappear. Seunghyun knew instantly that it was not his night from the way Seol looked at Jaejin but he waited patiently still for her to speak up.

“Seunghyun, let’s go out some other time. It’ll be too late already when we’re done with the lessons.” She said to him, with thoughts racing in her head.

“Okay then.” He just agreed and let disappointment washed over him.

okay, tbh i've only written 24 chapters so far so hopefully i'll be able to write soon so my 5 days update will still be on track >< and yes i love your comments your thoughts..it really helps me to see if im able to convey the message to the readers properly xD :) <3 thank you everyone <3
