She was awakened by the soft sunlight that tried so hard getting in through her thick dark curtains but it still managed to pass through a small gap and it directly hit her face. She reluctantly opened her eyes and slowly, an image of a blue rose registered in her view. It was lying softly on a pillow and a smile automatically formed on her lips. She reached for it and took it into her hands, taking her time in feeling the rose in her hands. She then got up slowly, went out of her room and looked immediately for the person who gave her the rose.

In the hall way, Diriel saw his master looking around and noticed how his master was smiling from ear to ear so early in the morning and he couldn't help but smile for her too.

"Lord Jaejin is still in the living room, about to leave though. But if you hurry up my lady, I'm sure you'll still get to see him." He knew she was looking for him. It was as if nothing changed about his master; the same lady he raised, the same girl that gave them warmth.

"Thank you Diriel." She smiled to him and he bowed to his master and watched her ran for the same boy she ran for over and over again.

When Seol got to the living room, the five demons were about to leave. They all saw Seol holding a blue rose and they knew the two needed a moment of their own.

"We'll wait for you downstairs." Jonghun gave Jaejin permission to stay a bit longer and the three other demons followed the prince. Seunghyun on the other hand, wasn't sure if he should be happy because of the current situation but all that mattered to him was to see Seol smiling.

"Good morning." Jaejin called for her and she slowly went to him, heads down while her hands were playing with the blue rose. "Oh and I see you got my present." He smiled to her shyly while she just nodded, her gaze still on the floor.  They were in a few seconds of silence and Jaejin cannot afford to stay longer. "I have to go though. I'll see you later then?" Jaejin said gently and she nodded and this time she slowly looked at him. When their eyes met, she immediately kissed him on the cheek.

"Take care." She said to him and ran away. Jaejin smiled to his self, amused by the fact of getting surprised kisses since last night.

He left the dorm with complete contentedness.

There were eyes that saw the couple's sweetness. She didn't intend to but it just so happened that she passed by and then found herself staring at them.

She was about to tear up but Seol ran towards her direction and she wiped them away fast. "Oh good morning  Jezebel." Seol greeted her with a grin and she felt envy for the reason behind that smile. She was so wishing she was her.

"Good morning too." She replied still.

"Have you had your breakfast?"

"Not yet my lady."

"Well, why don't we eat together? Oh and can you drop the formalities with me? It feels kind of awkward." Seol smiled to her, making her feel at ease and she then found herself agreeing to her, got carried away without even noticing it. The next thing Jezebel knew, she was eating with the girl who owns the heart of the guy she loves.

Sophia and Adriel continued with their lessons with Seol like any other morning. During Adriel's lesson, she couldn’t help but wonder if she should warn Seol, afraid that Seol might feel betrayed if she found out the thing with Jezebel but she didn't know how to answer Seol's questions if she was asked why so she was left in a dilemma, whether to tell Seol to stay away from Jezebel or not.

"Is there something bothering you?" Seol noticed that Adriel wasn't herself since this morning. She then stopped from wielding a bow and arrow to address the concern of her little sister.

"It's nothing nee-chan." She forced out a smile.

"Maybe we should skip lessons today? Why don't we go out instead?"

"You're just trying to get away with the lessons, nee-chan."

"Maybe I am but I want you to feel better."

"I'm all right. You don't have to worry about me. Worry more about yourself."

Seol was a little confused by what Adriel meant by taking care of herself more but she just let it pass, thinking it had something to do with the demons after her, completely oblivious to the fact that it was about something else."Fine. But you know you can always talk to me about anything right?"

Adriel just let out a soft smile and nodded to her. "And I'm the same for you." She hugged her, giving her advance comfort of whatever that may come in the future.

It wasn't only Adriel who was feeling uneasy knowing a secret that can definitely hurt their friend. In fact, Sophia was really bothered by it. She was so uneasy, Seol could see through her.

"Is there something bothering you too?" Seol asked Sophia this time, wondering what was up with everyone today.

"I'm ok. Why did you ask? And what do you mean by too?"

"Adriel is bothered about something also. She was as distracted as you during our lessons."

"Right."

"Or maybe you're just constipated that's why you're quiet?"

"I prefer your first speculation, thank you. Now let's continue your lesson. You don't want to be late for your first lesson in medicine. Let's not give her a reason to pull your hair off."

Seol was puzzled by what she meant and gave Sophia a confused look. "What do you mean? Is she scary? She doesn't look scary though." Seol asked and that was when Sophia started to panic, unsure of what to say.

"It's nothing. Forget about that. Oh look! Make the details of your space more specific. Yours is too boring." Sophia just changed the topic and lucky for her, Seol gets distracted easily.

After the lessons with Sophia was her very first lesson with Jezebel. Unlike her usual studies which were conducted in the field, Jezebel told her to go to the study. When Seol got inside of the room, she saw Jezebel staring blankly at the window. From afar, she looked like a doll that was formed to symbolize loneliness.

It wasn't long before Seol broke the silence since she felt like she was intruding her privacy. "Uuhhhmm.. Jezebel?" She called out for her softly. Jezebel then turned to her and let out a soft smile.

"Oh you’re here. Come, sit down We can begin." Jezebel then walked to the small board and Seol took the seat in front of it.

"Are you all right?" Seol asked and it was the third time she had to ask it for today.

"Yes, I'm fine my lady."

"We can always do this another time if you're still tired. Oh, and the formalities," Seol reminded her and she smiled to her gently, making her feel at ease again like the conversation they had a few hours ago.

"I'm all right.. Seol." She paused before continuing further. Never did she think that one day, she would be saying the name of the girl she envied her whole life. She never also even thought that she would be comfortable around her. "Thank you for asking. Shall we?" Seol nodded to her and started listening to her lecture with full attention.

Their lesson started with how the demon body differs from humans; its capacities and such.

"Wounds by level 5 creatures heal slower than those of level 4 and below. The higher the level of the creatures, the slower the wounds heal. But of course, it's still faster than humans." She explained. "A cut from a knife would only heal in a matter of seconds but those scratches of yours would be gone in a few hours since those were made by a level 4 creature from yesterday’s hunting lessons, I presume?" She then moved closer to her and examined more of her wounds. She stopped all of a sudden when she saw the marks on her neck. Seol noticed what she was staring at and she covered it quickly, blush tainting her cheeks.

"How about those marks? How long will they last?" She asked shyly.

"Probably a day or two." She tried answering casually, trying to remove her gaze fomr the love marks Jaejin gave her. "Judging by the demon that gave you that, it'll be that long." She then started imagining the guy she loves with her, together in each other's arms. The thought pained her but she tried to shake the thoughts away. "Just like the wounds we get with creatures, how long the wound will heal also depends on level of the demon we got it from." She continued explaining.

After that, she then hurriedly gave her lecture without sacrificing the contents.

The four ladies had a quiet lunch before Seol's lessons resumed. Seol felt the tension in the air and she didn't dare to try and make the air livelier either.

It wasn't long before Jezebel excused herself even though she barely ate a thing. "Seol, I'll see you in the study. I'll just do something first."

"Okay."

She then bowed to the rest of them and hurriedly went to her room.

She grabbed a crystal ball and said a few words which later on made the ball dark and cloudy.

"What is it that you need my favorite doll?" A pair of eyes appeared. They were sharp and cold, the supposed to be white part was bloody red and the dark part was so black it could’ve been a shadow, figuring out who owns that eyes would be difficult.

"I don't think I can do this my lord." She cried to him but she didn't get an immediate response. "It hurts to be around her. I want to go home."

The eyes from the ball just stared at her and let her cry. It waited for her cries to die down even though its patience was wearing out already. But it chose to stay quiet, after all, it took them five years to get close to the keeper. He wouldn't let this chance slip away.

"Look at me my Jezebel. Look at me." He called for her and she looked at him with tear filled eyes. "I'll tell you what to do."

It was already afternoon when Jaejin, Minhwan and Jonghun got back from their schedule. Hongki and Seunghyun would be back later for they had another schedule.

Jaejin and Minhwan instantly looked for their ladies, while Jonghun went to his room to do another job. He opened a book and he smiled to his self when he saw something added to it.

He smiled widely when he saw the details and he knew he hit the bull's eye. "I don't know if I should really be happy about this though." He thought out loud to his self. "But at least we're getting there." He then closed the book and took an envelope that was containing the report of the council about their supposed to be lead. From what he understood, they were on the right track and were currently pursuing it now but how they found out about Seol, Jonghun already had an answer for that. He also knew that it was just a matter of time before the enemy strikes and the council was still far from tracking who they were after.

After analyzing the details he then looked for the others. He saw Jaejin and Seol, Minhwan and Adriel, also Sophia together just like in the good old days when everything was peaceful. He was watching them from afar and from the other corner, there was another pair of eyes watching. He went slowly to her and she greeted him.

"I'm about to be convinced that you are a masochist." He but Jezebel just gave out an awkward smile.

"I am bound to believe the same as well my lord." She admitted and the two of them stared at the couple.

That evening, Jaejin was waiting for Seol in the field for their lesson. He was feeling contented of the moment. He was silently letting the cold wind of the space get into him as he thought about their current situation. Even though her memory wasn't back, he was glad to have her by his side right now compared from looking at her from afar.

In a distance, Jezebel was watching him. The Jaejin whom she had slept with in the past few years was nowhere to be found. She saw him smiling as he looked far away, the emptiness in his eyes were gone and he was just filled with warmth. Slowly, she found herself getting drawn by him, and the next thing she knew, she was just a few feet away from him.

"You're eyes aren't empty anymore." She whispered to Jaejin and he turned to her as she spoke. "Even your aura is warm." She continued looking at him but he just remained silent, his eyes apologetic.

She then slowly reached for his face, touching his cheek with her palm as she tried to remember his touch. In the middle of this, a familiar presence came in and the two of them look at the direction of the owner of the presence. Jezebel dropped her hand and Jaejin ran towards that demon’s direction.

Seol who was watching them as she felt an excruciating pain in her chest. The way Jezebel touched Jaejin bothered her. She knew there was something going on between them, her insides wouldn’t let her be. Her speculations grew eve more when she remembered Adriel and Sophia's uneassiness since Jezebel came. When Jaejin came to her she moved away from him.

"Who is she to you?" Seol asked to Jaejin her voice was shaking as he stared at him, trying to make him feel what she was feeling.

Jaejin knew it was time for him to confront his mistakes and this might get ugly for the two of them. He saw the pain in Seol's eyes. He clearly saw how she felt betrayed by him and this made it harder for him to continue. "Seol let me explain." He begged as he tried reaching out for her but she refused to be touched by him.

"Explain what Jaejin?" She retorted back, her heart was breaking. She didn’t even know what was between them but her instincts and feelings were telling her it was something she would really be hurt about. Even though she didn't have her memory back, her feelings were very clear to her.

"Seol please listen to me. Please.." He pleaded and Seol was ready to run any moment. "I was lonely and stupid and weak and I.. I  let my loneliness take over me." He paused, afraid that his reply would make her disappear he was unsure if he should continue but he knew that Seol was waiting for her reply. "Please believe me when I say I love you." He said first and tears were forming in his eyes already. He was so afraid at that moment.

When Jaejin said those three words, Seol's tears fell but she wiped them away immediately. "Who is she to you?" She asked again and tried preparing herself for the worst.

"I slept with her." He admitted. He then tried reaching for Seol's hand but she avoided him.

She felt betrayed. Tears were then streaming down her eyes. All this time she was feeling guilty for not remembering anything, for being saved from the feeling of longing but all this time he was sleeping with someone else.

She ran away and Jaejin tried to catch her but before he could, Seol already ran out of the field and into the dorm and everybody saw the tears in her eyes. No one could stop her. She went out of the dorm and instantly, her presence disappeared.

She was nowhere to be found.

"Give me the ball fast!" Jaejin yelled, for he started to panic when he couldn't detect even her presence. Once Seol was outside of the dorm, there was no way they could assure her safety.

"My lord, the crystal balls were deactivated already." Diriel said.

"Why?!" Jaejin screamed even louder.

"Jae, calm down. We’ll look for her." Jonghun held his shoulders. "The surveillance balls were deactivated since we got here in Korea. Let's just all look for her now."

"Look for who?" Seunghyun and Hongki just got back and both were startled by the commotion in the place. Seunghyun saw Jaejin's face and he got the idea of what might have happened. "What happened to Seol?" Seunghyun growled at Jaejin but he remained quiet, too scared to answer. "I did warn you hyung right?" Seunghyun got impatient of his silence and took this as a sign that Seol found out. He said those words to him to remind Jaejin before dashing out to find Seol, leaving the story later.
