Per usual, Jonghyun’s awake first. He watches Minho’s chest rise and fall in the morning light, watches his eyelashes flutter as he wakes up.

“Happy birthday, honey.”

Minho smiles and twists around for kisses, which Jonghyun happily gives. They lay there for a long while, neither quite ready to get out of bed yet.

“So what do you want to do for your birthday?”

“Honestly? Just chill. Dye my hair and get dinner and chill.”

“Works for me. You sure you want to dye it?”

Minho nods before starting to kiss Jonghyun once more.

It takes them almost three hours to get out of bed and even then it’s only an hour or so before they’re back in it. Jonghyun’s carefully brushing bleach into Minho’s hair while Minho reads through the few cards he’s received.

“Anything good?”

“My parents sent a card, I think they forgot to put money in it. My best friend from high school sent me copied monopoly money. My grandparents sent enough to cover our takeout tonight. Work sent me a few coupons I won’t be able to use.”

“That’s too bad, honey. When we’re done with your hair, I’ll give you my present, alright?”

Two hours later, Jonghyun finally stops drooling over Minho’s new golden blonde hair. Though Minho’s enjoying his attentions, he also wants the present.

“Baby, can I have my present now?”

“Oh! Yeah, let me just go find it.”

It takes a few minutes but eventually, he comes back in, present in hand. He sets it down in front of Minho, nodding for him to open it. Minho eagerly rips the paper away, revealing a book. He flips through it and notes all the empty slots where pictures should be.

“It’s a scrapbook of sorts. I know there’s not any pictures in it, but I didn’t know which ones you’d want. Though I would love to say I made it, I didn’t. They were selling them in front of the art building and this one just made me think of you.”

“Aww, babe, thanks.”

Minho leans over the side of the bed, reaching underneath for his shoebox full of photos of them. He starts flipping through the pages and photos, slipping a picture in every once in a while. Jonghyun simply watches him work.

“If you’re filling that in, are we still just chilling?”

“Yup. Because we can do it in bed.”
