Title: Fall for Me

+++

Kyulkyung always felt like she was riding a unicorn all day and living in a mansion made of clouds in her school, surrounded by fangirls alike.

She was dubbed as the 'Miracle of China', a goddess, the prettiest girl in school. She was a transferee from China and had gained popularity of almost all people in her school in Korea, even fangirls from almost all classes. But there was a catch: one was somehow unattracted to her.

"It's the nerd." One of the fangirls mumbled.

Kyulkyung smirked as she sat on her spot, the fangirls surrounding her. She noticed the nerd, that one person who doesn't bother of her uninterested demeanor towards the transferee.

"Hello, Chaeyeon." Kyulkyung stood up and greeted.

"Hi, Kyulkyung." Chaeyeon said, adjusting her glasses.

Kyulkyung went closer, noticing the cute book on theology that Chaeyeon was reading. Kyulkyung grabbed the book, flipping the pages like she hasn't held a book in her whole life.

"Kyulkyung, give me back my book, please?" Chaeyeon said, reaching towards her book.

"How can you read this? There's no pictures." Kyulkyung asked as she flipped the book again.

"Watch the pages." Chaeyeon grabbed it away from Kyulkyung. "And duh, it's a book. You READ it, not VIEW it. And you know? You have a part called a brain so as you read, you comprehend."

"Chaeyeon, it's about time you stop being so smart and pay attention to more important things..." Kyulkyung throws the boo away, falling on the dusty floor. "...like me."

Kyulkyung smiles and the fangirls squealed and sighed out of admiration. Chaeyeon sighed and gets her book, scraping the dust off of it.

"Come on. I've got the whole campus as my fangirls. Everyone loves me, except you. And it's not right for person not love me against the campus. Can you just get the gist of the situation and like me?"

"Kyulkyung, you're a er. How could I admire someone like you?" Chaeyeon spat, the fangirls booing and hissing at her.

"Calm down, people." Kyulkyung said to her fangirls. "That was nice of you to say that to me, Chaeyeon. Why don't we go at the canteen and eat together?"

"Maybe some other time..." Chaeyeon said, getting Kyulkyung's arm off of her.

"Did you see that?" A fangirl gasped.

"She crazy!!" Another one said.

"Kyulkyung's gorgeous~ <3" A third fangirl said and everyone squealed.

"Whatever. I need to go now. I've got someone to tutor." Chaeyeon said.

"You mean Kim Sohye, the crazy kid? She sure needs all the help she can get!!" Another fangirl said, making Kyulkyung and the rest of the fangirls laughed.

"Hey! Who you callin' a crazy kid?!" Chaeyeon reacted. "No one talks about Sohye that way so shut the up."

"Yeah. Don't talk about Sohye that way." Kyulkyung said, making the fangirl apologize.

"Kim Sohye's not crazy. She's even smarter than you, Kyulkyung." Chaeyeon said.

A girl was screaming, making everyone stare. Chaeyeon went near to her and greeted her.

"Unnie!" Sohye went to hug her. "Omo! It's Kyulkyung-san!"

Kyulkyung winked at Sohye and the penguin girl joined the fangirls. Chaeyeon sighed again, dragging Sohye out of the crowd as they went to the library for the tutorials.

For Kyulkyung, she looked at the walking girls. She smirked at Chaeyeon.

She was going to make sure Chaeyeon will like her too.

---

Kyulkyung was dubbed of another name: The Great Zhou. Kyulkyung suggested it for everyone and they seem to like it. Kyulkyung still had her fandom following her around, even all of her classmates. She looked around, embracing her fame as she stopped to look at Chaeyeon.

Yeah. They were classmates...and Kyulkyung makes her attempt now.

Kyulkyung went to her desk as Chaeyeon was reading a book. She made fun of Chaeyeon and the nerd was annoyed as she closed her book.

"What is now, Great Zhou? Has the pestering planted itself on your brain?" Chaeyeon asked, raising an eyebrow.

"You use my great name. So you must like me." Kyulkyung smiled.

"Nothing has changed." Chaeyeon said, writing on her notebook this time.

"Come on. Aren't you surprised? I'm a person full of surprises." Kyulkyung said.

"The only surprising thing about you is of your grades." Chaeyeon mumbled.

The students who admire of her beauty and are as decent as Chaeyeon in terms of academics, laughed. Chaeyeon hi-five them and Kyulkyung just pouted, making the sophisticated fangirls to ogle of the Great Zhou's cuteness.

"You know, Chaeyeon, take this thing into consideration. What I'm doing now is pestering you until you say you like me because my fangirls would love to be in your shoes since...I've been paying attention to you for two days straight. This is the day..." Kyulkyung stopped to look at the mirror and make herself pretty. "...this is the day your dreams come true."

"What do you even know about my dreams, Kyulkyung?" Chaeyeon asked.

"Plenty." Kyulkyung scoots over so she and Chaeyeon share one seat. "I picture out a beautiful house and me, killing the covers of the magazine's with my beautiful look...and outside are my fangirls, googling over me like I'm a goddess, although I am."

Chaeyeon sighed as she tries to get away when Kyulkyung grabbed her arm tight. The fangirls, let's say, the whole class gathered around filled with mutters.

"And then there's this one that ogles me so much and I couldn't help but admire her." Kyulkyung added.

"Imagine that." Chaeyeon mumbled.

"And do you know who that dying fan was?" Kyulkyung asked.

"Let me think." Chaeyeon said as she closes her book.

"You, Chaeyeon!" Kyulkyung wraps an arm around her, causing everyone to squeal.

"Wow, Kyulkyung...I'm speechless. I really don't know what to say." Chaeyeon said as Kyulkyung inched closer.

"Sya you like me, like the rest of them." Kyulkyung said.

"I'm sorry, Kyulkyung but...but..." Chaeyeon said as she found a weak spot. "It's still a no."

Kyulkyung inched even closer when Chaeyeon stood up, causing Kyulkyung to fall on the floor. Everyone gasped of what Chaeyeon did like how dare she would do that to the Great Zhou. Chaeyeon hoists her up and said: "Nice try but no. So go back to your seat."

Kyulkyung cussed and went back. Chaeyeon raised her eyebrows at everyone, causing them to sit back down. Chaeyeon fixed her seat as she sat back down.

Kyulkyung couldn't be angrier. How could Chaeyeon not admire her like the rest of the class, let alone the whole campus? What does Chaeyeon see in her that she doesn't like her?

Despite of the humiliating attempt to win her support, Kyulkyung was still eager to win that, no matter what the cost.

---

Kyulkyung continued to bug Chaeyeon of gaining her admiration but her attempts are in a fail. With that, she could be happier. And with the teacher's discussion of their final grades, her sour emotions have gone rotten.

"Joo Kyulkyung, D-."

Kyulkyung was ed up. She looked at her card with the red mark and she knew she's screwed up with her mom.

"Jung Chaeyeon. Congratulations. You got A+. You got first place."

Kyulkyung gasped as Chaeyeon went to get her card. She watched Chaeyeon hi-five with Chungha and Nayoung. Kyulkyung felt a bit jealous of Chaeyeon's smartness.

As that thought lingered on her head, a smirk makes its way to her face as she devised a little plan.

---

"What?!" Chaeyeon flipped out. "I'm tasked to tutor Joo Kyulkyung?!!"

"It was hers and her mother's suggestion and the administration approves of it," said her teacher.

"Teacher...can you request someone else? Maybe Chungha or Nayoung could tutor her." Chaeyeon suggested.

"I'm sorry, Miss Jung. But the decision is final and as a faculty member, I cannot do anything to change the administration's minds. Besides, you're our first placer. Who would do better in tutoring the Great Zhou other than you?"

That wasn't the case. Chaeyeon would've been obliged to do tutorials to any student who have a hard time in their academic lives...but Kyulkyung? She'd rather deal with the least person she liked in class rather than with her.

But she couldn't do anything. She could only nod and agree to this tutorial.

Besides, why would Jung Chaeyeon be affected over the Great Zhou? It's just a tutorial. She shouldn't be intimidated. After all, she's not intimidating, right?

---

Kyulkyung greeted her morning with a smirk, all while sitting on her business chair. According to her mother, her tutor will come today and she couldn't hold her excitement for long.

"Master Zhou, your mother has called." Her maid spoke through the buzzer.

"Right." Kyulkyung hops off of her seat and went down.

Kyulkyung was all happy as she saw her mother and the tutor. That was weird. Why is the tutor looking...elegant than usual?

"Ah, here she is." Her mother went to pull Kyulkyung closer as they peck each other's cheeks. "Dear heavens, I never thought you had such beautiful classmates, Jieqiong. Chaeyeon here is just as gorgeous as you are...and smart too."

Kyulkyung had gone deaf. Is the oh-so-gorgeous tutor actually Chaeyeon? Weird. It must've been a mistake. "Mama, I think they school gave the wrong tutor-"

"It's me, Kyulkyung." Chaeyeon said as she puts on another set of glasses. "Mind me for the get up."

Mind with the get up? Kyulkyung couldn't even avert her eyes off of Chaeyeon as this moment. But then, she became more formal as her mother talked some details to Chaeyeon about Kyulkyung.

"Jieqiong. Do take responsibility of your tutor. She came here to teach you but she's also a guest. Make her feel welcome. And please do good. I can't accept another D- from you."

"Yes, Mama." Kyulkyung nodded. "Have fun on your trip."

Her mother nodded. Chaeyeon was obliged to meet Kyulkyung's mother as she left. Kyulkyung looked back at Chaeyeon and she admires her once again.

"What?" Chaeyeon asked.

"Nothing." Kyulkyung looked away. "Shall we begin?"

Chaeyeon nodded. Kyulkyung and her went to Kyulkyung's room as Kyulkyung holds her waist.

"Tutorials." Chaeyeon said, getting Kyulkyung's arm off of her own waist.

---

Kyulkyung was eyeing the board as Chaeyeon began teaching. Kyulkyung did her best to apprehend all those lessons but Chaeyeon was distracting her of her beauty. There were often times that Chaeyeon took off her glasses to rub her temples and the Great Zhou gulped, finding Chaeyeon so beautiful.

"Do you understand now, Kyulkyung?" She asked.

"What?" Kyulkyung went back to reality.

"You're not listening." Chaeyeon sighed. "Who was the inventor of electricity again?"

"Uhh... Benjamin Franklin?" Kyulkyung answered unassumingly.

"You got lucky." Chaeyeon mumbled. "Need a break?"

Kyulkyung nodded. She called for her maids to serve them their meals and Chaeyeon sat on her chair, feeling flattered of the hospitality.

"Come on. I had to...Mama said so." Kyulkyung said as Chaeyeon nodded.

They had their snacks. Kyulkyung insists that Chaeyeon should eat and the dashing nerd had to obey and they ate together. Kyulkyung munched her greens as she looked at Chaeyeon again.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Chaeyeon noticed.

"It just that... you're really pretty..." Kyulkyung said.

"'What's pretty in the this get up? It's how I dress when I do my tutors." Chaeyeon said.

"Seriously? You're like a goddess, Chaeyeon. Jeez...you so gorgeous!" Kyulkyung said, face-palming herself.

Chaeyeon never flatters herself with comments like that. She just thanked her nonchalantly and continued eating. Then, Chaeyeon asks.

"What's with this, Kyulkyung? You give this ing suggestion to be your tutor and here I am, stuck in this ordeal with you."

Kyulkyung smirked as the go back to being the love-and-hate couple in school. Kyulkyung got up, facing Kyulkyung. "You know I haven't stopped yet, Chaeyeon. I WILL make you like me."

"Not a chance, Kyulkyung." Chaeyeon smirked. "You even had me at this mess like you admire me at some point."

"It's just your beauty that I like, Chaeyeon. The rest of you is still a nuisance that I need to take care of." Kyulkyung snickered.

Chaeyeon had no time for this. This wasn't part of the ordeal. But with the administration agreeing plus an assurance of being valedictorian at the end of the year, she had to do it.

"Fine. But I'm just here as a tutor, not a classmate. Now, if you don't to get grounded for a whole month, you cooperate and do good on this tutorial." Chaeyeon said.

Chaeyeon finished her meal and went back to the board. Kyulkyung sighed, calling her maids to take care of their dishes and resumed their tutorials.

---

In this part of the session, Chaeyeon and Kyulkyung faced each other on a table. Chaeyeon hands Kyulkyung another copy of a special reviewer as they follow all the lessons written. Kyulkyung felt bored but she had to do it to get her grades up.

Kyulkyung was fiddling with her reviewer, always listening to Chaeyeon and her discussions. Kyulkyung stole glances at Chaeyeon as she removes her glasses and Kyulkyung felt her heart best out of admiration again.

"Shall we begin, Chaeyeon?" Kyulkyung asked.

"Okay. Page 1, Paragraph 1." Chaeyeon said as Kyulkyung followed through her reviewer. "Chordata are different from any Animalia in terms of skeletal structure. Chordata composes of what skeletal structure?"

"Cartilage." Kyulkyung answered and Chaeyeon gave a thumbs-up. "Okay. Noted."

"Page 3, Paragraph 15, Section 20. Who was the daughter of Zeus and Lena whose face launched a thousand ships? Also, explain why is that." Chaeyeon said.

"Hmmmm...Helen of Troy." Kyulkyung answered.

"Now why did it say that her face launched a thousand ships?" Chaeyeon asked.

"Helen was beautiful that when she was abducted by Paris of Troy, a fleet of thousand ships set sail to get her back..." Kyulkyung answered. "Like how I would launch a thousand convincing words to make a beautiful woman like you like me."

"What an analogy, Kyulkyung...but no. Not buying it." Chaeyeon said.

"Page 4, Paragraph 13, Section 20." Kyulkyung said, making Chaeyeon impressed of her initiative to ask. "With regards to poetry, shouldn't haiku be specified in this?"

"It's not necessary." Chaeyeon said. "Why? Is there a problem?"

"I'm just wondering, shouldn't haikus be specified in literature?" Kyulkyung asked again.

"It's not necessary. Haikus are poems themselves. It's a given." Chaeyeon said.

"Okay! I'm putting that in bold." Kyulkyung nodded, finally understanding.

"Page 5, Paragraph 1. Abstinence. What are the ways of abstinence?" Chaeyeon flips some pages again.

"Uhh...withdrawal? I got nothing." Kyulkyung sighed.

"That was a trick question, Kyulkyung. Lucky you 'cause you got right. Rookie move, Great Zhou."

Chaeyeon takes off her glasses as she laughed. Kyulkyung's heart was ed up as she couldn't help but chuckle of Chaeyeon's beauty and cuteness. "Really? Wow. Didn't expect that much..."

"Same page, Paragraph 3. STDs..." Chaeyeon said as Kyulkyung interrupts for questions.

"STD?"

"ually Transmitted Diseases." Chaeyeon said as Kyulkyung nods. "Same page, Paragraph 5."

"I'd like to clarify these terms." Kyulkyung raised a hand as she asked. "Chlamydia?"

"An STD caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis." Chaeyeon said.

That continued for a log time until sunset. Kyulkyung and Chaeyeon relax, calling it a day. Kyulkyung was having a wonderful time learning with a gorgeous tutor. "Thanks for the tutorials, cutie."

"Let's be clear, Kyulkyung." Chaeyeon said as Kyulkyung listened. "There's no connection whatsoever between us, okay? And for us, it's still the same story. If you require to do so, pay me 300000 Won."

"500000." Kyulkyung spat.

"700000." Chaeyeon said.

"700000 it is." Kyulkyung said.

"You better stick to your word. And just between us, you're never going to make me like you, Kyulkyung." Chaeyeon said, filing her papers.

"Well you drive a hard bargain, Chaeyeon." Kyulkyung smiles.

"Thanks." Chaeyeon whispered.

"You know what, Chaeyeon? Who says about stopping? I'm going to make you like me until the middle of next month." Kyulkyung snickered again.

"How silly of you." Chaeyeon chuckled. "You can't do it. You can't even make me like you within the next minute."

"You're going to like me and I'm not taking no for an answer." Kyulkyung began.

"Well, I'm going to do all means to avoid that." Chaeyeon said. " How playful of you."

"Well, I did this before." Kyulkyung winked.

---

Kyulkyung's mother got home, just in time for Kyulkyung to be finished with the tutorials. Chaeyeon greeted and was thankful for the opportunity.

"Have you eaten dinner yet? I bought some food."

"It's fine, Mrs. Zhou. I need to go home now." Chaeyeon said.

"Okay. Thank you for tutoring my daughter." Her mother nodded.

"Mama, I need to take Chaeyeon outside first." Kyulkyung said and her mother was obliged.

Chaeyeon and Kyulkyung went out. Chaeyeon felt Kyulkyung hold her hand when she lets go. "Yah, Kyulkyung! What was that about?"

"I can't help it. I'm in love with the nerd." Kyulkyung said.

"How quick." Chaeyeon snickered. "But no."

"All you attempts of stopping me are in a fail. I WILL win you heart and I will make you mine." Kyulkyung said again.

"Not buying it." Chaeyeon said.

"Are you still coming here tomorrow?" Kyulkyung asked.

"Yeah...until I get your rank in account." Chaeyeon said. "Anyways, I need to go."

Kyulkyung let's her off as Chaeyeon got a bus. As she aboarded then left towards her home, Kyulkyung held her chest and sighed.

Well, it was confirmed. The Great Zhou fell in love with the nerd...and she was eager to make Chaeyeon fall for her somehow.
