The school bell rang through the halls and classes, and students start hustling and bustling out of the their ‘stuffy’ classrooms, it was time for recess, and everyone was eager to get out of the school building even for a few minutes, well.. Everyone but Joonmyun, otherwise known as Suho.

He wasn’t a fan of recess, it meant there are chances to interact with people and he definitely didn’t want that. He didn’t like humans much, therefore he would try to avoid them, at least most of them.

“Oppa, are you listening?!” Yuna snapped her fingers in front of Joonmyun’s face, trying to get his attention.

He looked at her and sighed, “Sorry I was rapt in thought” Joonmyun said tiredly.

“It’s okay, Oppa!! So I was just saying…” Yuna starts but he interrupts her.

He knew what she is about to say and he didn’t want her to say it, she was his only human friend, and no matter how much he tried, he knows he will never be able to return her feelings, because he can’t, he’s already in love with someone else, someone he has yet to meet, but he was helplessly in love with her.

“Can you hold that thought!! You’re a good friend! I’ll see you later!” He got up in a rush.

Joonmyun didn’t know why, but he had this overwhelming urge to go, as if there was something… Someone he needed to see.

He ran out of the classroom like a mad man, as he was running out, he ran into someone, which caused both to fall with a soft thud.

“Ow!!” A sweet voice complains, the sweetest Joonmyun has ever heard.

He looked at the source of the voice, and saw the most beautiful of humans he had ever seen, she looked like an angel who just descended from the heavens.

“Are you okay?! You should really watch where you’re going!!” You warned.

Joonmyun just gaped at you. It was you, the girl he had always dreamed about, the girl he had seen many times in his daydreams, the girl he is helplessly in love with.

“Are you okay?!” You bent a little to see if the strange boy responds.

You were at your feet already, it wasn’t that hard of a fall, but why was he still on the floor, you thought he must’ve hit his head because he was gaping at you in a funny way.

“Excuse me?!” You waved your hand in front of his face.

He seems to have snapped out of it, he got up quickly and dusted himself off.

“Are you okay?!” He asked worriedly.

“Yes, I’m fine!! Are you?! You seemed a little out of it!” You asked, with a light laugh.

“I’m okay!! Are you new here?!” He tried to open a conversation.

“Yeah! Today is my first day! Don’t tell anyone but I’m really nervous, shh!” You joked with a coquettish grin.

Joonmyun smiled so widely at your cuteness. He was about to reply, but they were interrupted…

“Oppa, you didn’t…” Yuna stopped mid-sentence when she saw you. 
She linked her arm with Joonmyun’s.

You got the hint, you were kind of disappointed, he seemed like a nice guy.

“So I’m just gonna… Leave! It was nice meeting you…?!”

“Joonmyun!!” He smiled.

“Right!! See you around!” You gave him a small smile and left.

“Wait…” He called after you, but you were long gone.

He sighed deeply, and unhooked Yuna’s arm from his.

“Oppa, where are you going?!” Yuna yelled after him, as he left her behind, and left the school gate.

~• Next Day •~

You were peacefully walking to school, it was quite early and not many people were outside.

The air felt eerie for some reason, you heard countless rumors about this town being spooky and all, but rumors are just rumors… Right?!

You quickened your steps as you begin to feel a little frightened. You also felt as if someone was watching you.

“Come on girl, get a grip!!” You tried to encourage yourself, telling yourself there is nothing to be scared of.

You turned around to see if someone was following you as you felt an intense gaze follow your every move. You didn’t see anyone, so you turned back to where you’re headed.

“Ah~~!!” You shrieked in surprise, as you saw Joonmyun in your face. 
You clutch your hand over your chest, steadying your breathing.

“I’m sorry! Did I scare you?!” Joonmyun said with an apologetic smile.

“Dude, don’t ever do that again!! This town is freaky as is!!” You tell him off, for scaring you.

“Ouch!!” He looked a little… Offended?!

You looked at him innocently, waiting for his explanation for being offended.

“I was born and raised in this 'freaky’ town! I’m really fond of it actually!!” He explained.

“Sorry! it’s just… So many weird rumors! Sorry, don’t be offended!” You gave him a cute smile, to persuade him into forgiving you.

“It’s okay!! You didn’t know!” He smiled gently, “It’ll grow on you!” He winked.

You started walking again, and he walked along with you.

You talked about a few random things, turns out his father owns half the town, also he was quite charming and funny in his own dorky way.

“So does your girlfriend know you collect dolls?!” You ask in a teasing manner.

“Okay, first of all: they’re action figures!” He started.

“Uh-huh!!” You nodded mockingly.

“And second: I don’t have a girlfriend!!” He smiled shyly.

“But the girl from yesterday!! She seemed kinda possessive!” You were kind of relieved he was free, but still curious about the girl.

“She’s my friend!! My only friend that’s why she’s possessive!!” He explained kindly.

“I see! That’s it? You never liked each other?” You pry, you were such a curious child.

“No! I never did!” He was blunt about it.

“Interesting!!” You nodded comically.

He just laughed at your cute curiosities as you continued questioning him about the town and its people.

You arrived at school and parted, each of you going to their own classes.

You passed each other in the halls through the day, and whenever you did you chitchat for a bit, or make weird faces at each other. It seems you really clicked together, he was so cute and charming, not to forget handsome as well.

~• A Few Days Later •~

You and Joonmyun grew a little closer each day, you were grateful for him, because you were worried you won’t be able to make friends in this new town.

You were walking out of school as the day ended.
You were surprised by a really attractive bunch of boys, that you’ve never seen before.

“Hi!” One of them greeted with a wave.

You looked around to see if he was talking to someone behind you.

“Are you talking to me?!” You point at yourself.

“Yes!! What’s your name?!” He asks with a poker face, they were all staring at you, expressionless, which kinda freaked you out.

“What’s it to you?!” You ask, quite mad.

“What is he thinking?!” Another one of them muttered.

“I want to be your friend!!” He smiles awkwardly.

“Yeah, right?! Go play elsewhere!” You dismiss and walk past them.

'What a weird bunch of kids!!’ You thought.

You walked down the road, not really paying attention to your surroundings, someone tapped your shoulder and you nearly jumped out of your skin.

“You know, I’m starting to think you’re a scardy cat!!” Joonmyun laughed aloud.

“And I’m starting to think you’re really mean!!” You glare at him.

“Sorry!! Were those kids bothering you?!” He asks cautiously.

“You saw that?! So much for chivalry!!” You tease.

“They didn’t seem to hurt you!!” He explains a little flustered.

“I’m just playing!! They were so weird! They didn’t say much!” You shrug.

“hmm!” He nodded. 
“So I was thinking… There’s this movie playing in the drive-through cinema and I was wondering… Go with me?!” Joonmyun looked really nervous, his ears turned red.

“Is it a date?!” You ask with a playful smile.

“What if it is?!” He replies with a question.

“Then… Are you asking me on a date, Kim Joonmyun?!” You stop walking, and so does he.

“Yes, what do you say?!” He looked straight into your eyes, which made you notice for the first time, just how beautiful they are, his eyes also had a reddish glint to them which made them mysterious, but it also made you question where that odd glint comes from.

“Okay! I’ll go on a date with you!” You grin.

“Okay!” Joonmyun smiles widely.

~• Next Day •~

Joonmyun showed up at your doorstep at 18:00 p.m. sharp, he was fidgety and nervous unlike his usual self, which only made him even cuter.

You had a wonderful date at the drive-thru, the movie was interesting but not as interesting as Joonmyun’s comments. 
Entertaining was his company, he was quite the charmer, and by the end of the date, you found yourself falling for him.

As you stood together in front of your door, to say your goodbyes, he leaned in for a sweet, innocent first kiss. 
It was short and sweet, everything a first kiss should be.

That night after he left, you couldn’t sleep, the fresh memories of the night vivid and alive in your mind, your heart was basically running laps in your chest.

You were captivated by his endless charm, you were spellbound.

~• Two Weeks Later •~

The weekend was over and you were on your way back to school. 
You haven’t seen Joonmyun at all this weekend, although you kept texting back and forth, but you couldn’t see each other, since he was busy.

You skipped to school, hoping to see him today.

“Hey, you!!” A voice interrupts your inner conversation with yourself.

You look up to see the source of the high pitched voice, it was Yuna.

“Hi!” You awkwardly greeted back.

“Don’t play coy with me!! What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” She yelled.

You were startled by her hostility towards you, Joonmyun said they were just friends.

“What are you talking about?!” You ask.

“Stay away from Joonmyun!! He is mine! I’ve known him way longer than you!! Do you even know anything about him?!” She looked like she was about to cry.

You felt sorry for her, she likes him, but he doesn’t. You couldn’t help but feel like you stole him away, but he was never hers to begin with.

“I’m sorry, but I really like him! I’m not willing to give him up!!” You said with determination.

“Oh please!! You will never be good enough for him! You’ll never be me! Do you actually believe he never liked me??!” She scoffed. “Stupid girl!” She spit venomously.

You left before she could say anything else. Although you emphasized with her, but it wasn’t your fault, and you weren’t letting her guilt you about this.

You found Joonmyun at the gate of school, he opened his arms for you, and you hugged him tightly, a little too tight.

“Are you okay?!” He asked, voice muffled by your hair.

“Yup, just missed you!!” You smiled at him, as you pulled away from the hug.

“I missed you too!!” He kissed your lips delicately, smiling against them.

~• After School •~

Joonmyun said that he wants to show you somewhere, his favorite place in the world is what he called it. 
You were touched by the fact that he wanted to share something so special to him with you.

Joonmyun took you to the outskirts of town, he took your hand and led you down a narrow path, that passed through the forest, at the end of said path there was a hill, which you climbed.

At the top of the hill, stood a lonely tree, the fireflies flying around it, painted a beautiful picture in the darkness of the night.

You sat together next to the tree, the hill overlooked the big city, not too far away from the small town. The city lights twinkled in the distance like a stardust sprinkled carpet, the scene was absolutely mesmerizing.

“This is so pretty!!” You smiled at him, “Thank you for bringing me here!”

“It is, isn’t it?!” He looked in the distance, “But it doesn’t compare to you!!” He looked at you with a knowing smile.

You burst out laughing and grimaced at the cheesiness. Joonmyun laughed along, giving himself a mental high-five for making you laugh.

After a few minutes of comfortable silence, watching the twinkling lights, your mind suddenly drifted to Yuna. You were kind of worried, what if what she said was true?! What if he went back to her?!

“Hello!! Planet earth calling!” Joonmyun snapped his fingers in front of your face.

“Sorry, I got lost in the pretty lights!” You said sheepishly smiling.

“What’s on your mind?! Don’t even try to lie to me!!” He warned.

“Yuna likes you!!” You said bluntly.

“I know!” Joonmyun replied very shortly.

You opened your mouth to ask for explanation, but as if he read your mind, he started talking again.

“I know she likes me! But I never let her know that, because I can never return her feelings!” He explained, looking in the distance.

You didn’t say anything, you thought that maybe it was your fault, maybe he could’ve loved her, if you hadn’t showed up.

“No it’s not your fault, and no I will never leave you for her!” He replied as if reading the questions in your mind.

You looked at him with knitted eyebrows, confused at his answers to your unspoken questions. 
He changed the subject, running away from explaining himself.

You soon fell back into your normal conversation pattern, where you bickered over useless things like an old married couple.

~• Another Two Weeks Pass •~

As per usual, you and Joonmyun lying on the grass, on top of the hill, stargazing.

This hill became your secret place, whenever you could, you would come and just enjoy the landscape of the dazzling city lights, or stargaze.

You were lying on your back watching the sky, making out shapes of the twinkly stars that filled the sky.

Out of nowhere a locket dangled in your line of vision, you looked to your side to see Joonmyun propped up on his elbow, holding the locket in front of you.

You grab the locket in your hand, and he let’s go of the necklace.

'Forever and always’ was written on it in pretty French script font, it looked stunning. It was heart shaped and silver colored.

You opened it, the inside was even more beautiful, it had a painting of a lone wolf surrounded by flowers looking up to the moon above, and silently howling and crying. You absolutely loved the story of 'wolverine and the moon’ and the fact he remembered that tiny detail really warmed your heart.

“I love you!” Joonmyun confesses, and you turn your head to look at him, into his eyes for confirmation.

“I love you! I always have and I forever will! I loved you before we even met, and I will love you to the day I die! And in my last breath I will tell you just how much I enjoyed loving you while I was alive!” He confessed so sincerely and so tenderly, your heart melted and you thank the heavens that you were lying down, because had you been standing your knees would’ve gave up on you.

“I love you too, Joonmyun! I really do!” You smiled gently, and he leaned for a kiss, to confirm the previous confession.

The kiss was just long enough to make you fuzzy from happiness, it was loving and endearing, in such a way it seemed like he was pouring all his love into this one amazing kiss.

~• Sometime Later •~

The sunlight beams sneaked into the room through the cracks between the blinds. 
You covered your head with a pillow in an attempt to hide from the disturbing light. But your sleep was already disturbed, so you just bury your face in the pillow grumbling.

You blink the sleep away from your eyes, and turn to your side to find Joonmyun looking at you with a very amused smile.

You knit your eyebrows and look around, this was not your room, 'what?!“ You think, before something clicks in your brain and you recall last night’s events.

Suddenly you feel the room getting extremely hot, and you start blushing madly. You cover your face with the duvet, earning a raspy chuckle from Joonmyun, who was just watching you, amusement apparent in his features.

"Are you feeling okay, love?!” Joonmyun asked sweetly, prying the cover of your face.

You just nodded shyly and covered your face with your hands.

“Don’t be shy! Let me see your beautiful face!” He whispered in your ear, which sent shivers down your spine. Joonmyun put his arm over your bare waist and brought you closer to him.

You put your hands on his arm and looked at him, blushing, every shade of red coloring your face.

To him you looked immensely adorable and he just wanted to keep you in his pocket.

“You know that I love you, right?!” He asks, with a gentle, adoring smile.

“I know!” You smile cutely.

He looked at you expectantly, as if waiting for you to say something, you play coy with him, and feign oblivion.

“Don’t you love me?!” He asks with a pout.

“Hmm!!” You put your index finger on your chin, like you were thinking really hard.

“Don’t joke around like that!!” He whines coquettishly, and you laugh at his cute outburst.

Joonmyun attacks you with tickles, and you start laughing loudly, while begging him to stop.

“I… Love… You… Joonmyun… Sto~p!!” You scream between giggles and he obliges.

You settled back into his arms that wrapped around you protectively.

Joonmyun kissed your shoulder, trailing butterfly kisses to the juncture between your neck and shoulder. His kisses were sweet and loving, nothing ual, just absolutely endearing.

“There’s a mark, isn’t there?!” You ask already knowing the answer.

He laughed bashfully. “Oops!” He shrugged his shoulders with a cute devilish grin on his face.

“I’m gonna have to wear turtle necks for a long time, don’t I?!” You ask, again the answer already known to you.

“Right!!” He grinned mischievously, “Or you can just let it be seen to the world!!” He wiggled his brows.

“Do you want my father to have a ?!” You ask rhetorically.

You stare at the reflection on your hand mirror of the bite mark down your neck, which was left by your dearest.

You definitely have to wear turtle necks from now on until it disappears.

~• A Few Months Later •~

You were with Joonmyun on the hill, it was nice, quiet and breezy.

Joonmyun though seemed to have something on his mind, he was absent minded.

“Earth to Joonmyun!! Huston do you copy?!” You waved your hand in front of his face.

“Sorry! You were saying?!” He asks with a half-smile.

“I was saying, what’s wrong?!” You ask.

“Well… It’s just… I have something to tell you!! I’m…” Joonmyun trailed off quietly.

“Oh my god!! Are you breaking up with me?!” Your expression fell, and you felt sad.

“No, no no!! Of course not! I would never!! I love you more than my own life!!” He panicked, and reassured his love to you. 
“I’m not what you think I am!! I’m…” He trailed off again, finding it hard to word his confession.

“What?! You’re Spiderman?!” You ask jokingly.

“No, I’m…” Again, he is facing difficulty admitting the truth.

“You’re batman?!”

He shakes his head.

You gasp and comically clutch your chest. 
“You’re a vampire!! You’ll my blood!!” You said with a feign expression of terror.

“Actually we really dislike vampires! Kind of our arch nemesis!” He says nervously.

“We?!” You ask, feeling suspicious.

“I’m a werewolf!!” He says quickly, as if ripping a bandage fast to make it hurt less.

You looked at him with an unreadable expression, which made him even more nervous.

You burst out laughing like a maniac. The idea just tickling you, because well, werewolves are fictional characters.

“No, really! What is it?!” You said after your laughter subsided.

“Really, I’m not joking!!” He said.

You just gave him a pointed look, and you saw absolutely no sign of humor or even mischief.

Joonmyun stood up and walked back a little from you.
You stayed put watching him, waiting what he’ll do.

He turned from the Joonmyun you know and love, to this huge wolf creature. But oddly enough you found yourself unfazed, you were sort of weirded out, but not one bit frightened.

His 'wolf form’ was similar to a tundra but bigger and more furry. His fur was dark brown with a yellow lightning bolt on his left side, his eyes were fiery red. Despite all of that you weren’t scared, somehow you felt like he would never hurt you, somehow you just knew. Plus wolves were your favorite animal.

He 'transformed’ back into Joonmyun again.

“So… Yeah! I’m a werewolf!!” He awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck.

“Okay, cool!!” You simply said.

“What?!” Joonmyun asked, completely dumbfounded.

“I said 'okay, cool’” You repeated yourself.

“Really?! You’re not scared?!” He questions further.

“I think you know I’m not!! You also know that I probably haven’t processed anything yet!! So ask me again tomorrow?!” You shrug.

Joonmyun sat back next to you, you put your head on his lap and looked up at him. Sometimes it really amazed how good looking he was.

“Does that mean Santa’s real?!” You ask, half joking.

“Come on babe, be real! Santa doesn’t exist!!” He looked down at you with an amused smile.

“Says the wolf dude!!” You rolled your eyes, smiling.

“You know!!” He started. Getting your attention. You looked up at him expectantly.

“I loved you way before I met you!! You’ve been in my dreams for as long as I can remember!!” He smiled honestly and lovingly.

“How old are you really?!” You ask out of nowhere.

“What?!” Joonmyun asked dumbfounded, “I just confessed my undying love for you and that’s what’s on your mind?!” He feigns hurt.

“Yeah, yeah I love you too!! But really how old are you?!” You insist.

“I’m a werewolf not a vampire!!! We live longer but we don’t stay the same age forever!” He explains and you nod appreciatively.

“You know!!!” This time it was your turn to confess. “I might have not loved you since as long as I could remember, but I never knew what love was until I met you!! So I really do love you, forever and always!!” You close your eyes avoiding his intense ones.

“Forever and always!” He linked his pinky to yours.

“By the way, those guys from sometime ago are my pack!!” Joonmyun informed you.

Soon though as usual you were back to bickering and talking about random things, among such your not very smart questions about the newly found fact.

You really couldn’t wait for your forever and always together.
