The following days became even more hectic for the team. Lunch breaks had become her comfort time, as she was able to visit the music room and play, even with just her left fingers for 20 mins.

Seohyun started coughing. She had been taking her medicines quite often than before. She reached for her medicines in her pocket, then, she remembered that her water was in her bag. “Ugh, why must I always forget?” She lightly knocked her head then, immediately got up and gathered the sheets, ready to leave the room.

It had been Gikwang’s habit to walk around and relax him self before performances. He could stroll on every corridors of the school but since it has been a co-ed he has to choose carefully the deserted areas to avoid the ‘crazy’ girls in this school.

Seohyun’s eyes widened when she heard her name. She stepped closer to the door, and voices drifted towards her,

“Of course! I just thought that I will have a good name if I’ll stick with the principal’s daughter.” Seohyun recognized the voice of Hara, speaking.

“Oh my God!” this time Seohyun heard Nicole’s voice. “That’s exactly what I thought when I approached her, too.” Seohyun turned pale with what she heard.

“I mean, she’s so plain-looking that if she’s not the principal’s daughter, I wouldn’t really dare to near myself to someone like her.” Seohyun took a peek and saw Nicole hi-fiving Seungyeon.

“Yah, Hara. I really thought that you would do the performance with her during the Showcase,” Gyuri commented.

“Come on, why do you think I would practice with you guys as I ditched her? Did you really think I am serious?”

“Hm. Makes sense.”

“A girl like her doesn’t even deserve to participate in the showcase,” Hara smirked. She eyed them with disdain, “After what she did to me at the canteen, let’s see if she still wants to stay here.”

The girls suddenly cooed and laughed with their high-pitched voices. Seohyun heard someone coming from the other side, so she hid herself at the next room, luckily the door wasn’t locked.

“Unnies! The male groups have started to gather! Hurry!”

“Oh my Gaawd!!”

When Seohyun heard the steps getting further, she released a relief sigh and peeked before leaving the room. She was about to open the door but paused when she recalled on what the girls said,

Gikwang went out from his own hiding spot when he heard the shrieking voices. Right after, he stood back.

‘Girls are really scary...’ he shivered at his own thought.

And then, he could see her face— ashamed and hurt, her eyes cast on the floor. He did not like it. Yes, he might have been bullying her with Kyuhyun but this time it was different. She seemed vulnerable but there were no tears.

‘You look so lonely.’

Another incoming footstep alerted Gikwang, making him scurry back to his hiding spot. ‘What the hell am I doing?’

He peeped from the corner of the room, and watched as Seohyun was approached by the girl who's always with her. He observed as Seohyun's sad face changed to a cheerful one, like what she heard had not affected her at all.
