Jonghyun's apartment building resided on the opposite side of Seoul, roughly forty-five minutes away from Wonsik's. By the time they were about ten minutes away from the apartment, Wonsik had stopped his tears and was now wiping his face dry with the sleeves of his shirt. When Woohyun saw this, he finally removed his hand from his friend's shoulder.

"You good?" Woohyun asked carefully, afraid that by asking he was going to start the waterworks all over again. Both of their bodies shifted forward slightly when the truck slowed down, and made a left turn.

Wonsik dropped his arms, and looked at the assistant mechanic with a sad but genuine smile, "I'm good. I just needed to get that out of my system."

Woohyun responded with his own smile of relief, and crossed his arms behind his head to use them as a pillow. He was glad that Wonsik pulled himself together, because he himself was ready to break down along with him. His smile faded as he gazed up at the sky, and his thoughts wandered as he processed Wonsik's words. Although he was upset about losing Hakyeon, he couldn't help but keep thinking back to what happened to Leo.

Where did Leo go? He wondered to himself. A person doesn't just disappear. I'm sure it had something to do with that noise we heard, because it happened at the same time Leo fell. But what on earth could make a human being disappear in mere seconds?

He shook his head free of the worrying thoughts, deciding to save the questions for discussing with the group later. Woohyun was just beginning to relax when a figure with a pink head suddenly vaulted over the side of the truck, and landed above him with both feet on either side of his stomach. With a yelp of surprise, he sat up and pushed the man back, and through his peripheral he saw that Wonsik had also shot up in alert.

When both men finally got a look at the stranger's face, they exclaimed simultaneously in surprise, "Leo!"

The wolf man was resting against the truck bed door, rubbing the back of his head which bumped the metal when Woohyun pushed him away.

"Hi," Leo greeted them with a small grimace as he sat up straighter, only to be slammed back when Wonsik pounced on him to smother him in the tightest hug he has ever received from the musician. Wonsik had his arms wrapped around Leo's neck, and when the wolf man tried to pry him off he tightened his grip. Leo made a strangled sound, and patted the younger on the back saying in a strained voice, "You're choking me."

"I don't care," Wonsik mumbled into his neck, and Leo noticed that his voice sounded a little shaky. "I'm just glad you're okay."

"I won't be if you don't let go," Leo weezed, and Wonsik finally pulled back to sit on his heels in front of the wolf man.

"Leo!"

The three men looked to the front of the truck to see the relieved beaming faces of Hyuk and Hongbin peeking from the broken window. Hyuk was grabbing onto the edge of the window with both hands, looking ready to crawl through it any moment.

"You're alive!" Hyuk exclaimed, eyes wide like a child who just met Mickey Mouse in real life.

"How is that possible? Didn't you, like, fall from a building?" Woohyun questioned, and then pointed at the pink fabric on Leo's head, "And what's with the Hello Kitty beanie?"

Leo shrugged, "One second I was falling, and the next thing I knew I was waking up in an alley next to Kyuhyun."

"Kyuhyun?" Wonsik interjected. "Why was he there? How'd you get away from him?"

"I think he saved me," Leo answered, biting his lip as he recalled what the cyborg said to him. "He couldn't move, though, so I had no problem getting away. But, before I left, he said something about a person called 'Mr. Simple'."

"Did you say Mr. Simple?"

They all looked at Hongbin, who was now leaning out the window with great interest.

"Yeah. Do you know him?" Leo asked.

Hongbin shook his head, "No. But I've spoken with him before through a messaging system."

"What does he say to you?" Woohyun inquired.

"We've only spoken a couple times, and it was always to help me; like that one time I shut down because I was low on power. He taught me how to activate the solar charging mode, and he also told me how to use Legato earlier today."

Wonsik furrowed his eyebrows, "He seems to be on our side, but can we trust him if we've never even met him?" Before anyone could reply, he turned back to Leo, "What did Kyuhyun say about him?"

"He told me to tell him that he's an ." Replied the wolf man, and Woohyun chuckled at the words.

"Man, I already like this 'Mr. Simple'." Stated the assistant mechanic, whose lips were stretched in a wide satisfied grin.

Just then, the truck turned right to pull up to a parking lot barrier arm, and Jonghyun rolled down his window to press the button next to a speaker. The speaker crackled to life with a voice asking for a name and room number. Jonghyun held down the button and answered, and after a few seconds the voice thanked him and the barrier arm was raised up slowly. The tacoma drove into the lot, and pulled into a spot with a white sign in front of it that had Jonghyun's name printed in black.

Wonsik was the first to hop out of the back, making his way to the front passenger seat in order to retrieve his boyfriend. The others piled out of the vehicle, finally stretching their legs after the 45 minute drive. When Jonghyun locked the truck, they walked together across the small parking lot toward the apartment building. As they were walking, Woohyun jogged up to Leo's side.

"You know, you still didn't answer me about the hat." Woohyun said, biting his lip to keep himself from smiling in amusement.

Leo sighed, not even looking at the brunette as he replied, "I lost my other hat during the fall, and while I was trying to figure out where I was without anyone seeing me I ran into a little girl." Woohyun saw the corners of Leo's lips twitch up slightly, and it's the closest thing he's ever seen to a smile on Leo's face. "She called me 'puppy', and when I told her I wanted to hide my ears she gave me her hat."

"Awww, did 'puppy' make a friend?" Woohyun teased, earning a glare from the wolf man to which he responded with a laugh. The older pouted, and made his way to the front of the group where Wonsik was walking next to Jonghyun. As they shuffled through the doorway into the apartment complex, Leo asked Wonsik the question everyone was dreading the second they saw Leo hop into the truck.

"Where's Hakyeon?"

Everyone visibly tensed as they gathered in front of the elevator. Even though it was only Wonsik and Woohyun that knew what really happened to the vet, the others were aware that just telling Leo they were 'separated' during the chase would upset the wolf man greatly. Wonsik gulped, and he adjusted his grip on Jaehwan, who he was piggybacking again.

"Um," Wonsik began, avoiding eye contact with Leo which didn't go unnoticed by the other. The elevator dinged, and as they filed into the lift he continued, "We got separated when the suits chased us from the financial building."

To everyone's surprise, Leo was silent. However, the silence became terrifying when the wolf man only stared at Wonsik with a dangerous edge to his eyes.

"What do you mean you got 'separated'?" Leo's voice was calm, but it was laced with unspoken anger.

Wonsik shifted uncomfortably under Leo's intense glare, "You know Hakyeon was hurt, and he was a little slower than me. So, we split up."

Woohyun interjected, "We should wait until we're in Jonghyun's apartment for this." He flinched when the wolf man's sharp gaze shifted to him.

"What do you mean by 'this'?" Leo's eyes narrowed in suspicion. "You know something. Something Wonsik isn't telling me."

The wolf man started making his way to the other side of the elevator where the assistant mechanic was, but before he got halfway the elevator dinged and the doors opened. Everyone evacuated the small space like it was on fire, leaving Leo to trail behind them. As they walked down the hall, Woohyun walked up next to Wonsik at the front of the group.

"Wonsik, I'm kind of scared." The mechanic whispered to the younger, glancing over his shoulder only to see that Leo's gaze was still locked on them.

"Me too." Wonsik replied, not even daring to look back like the other did. "This is not going to be pretty."

They all stopped at the end of the hall, and waited as Jonghyun fumbled with his keys. When he found the right one, he unlocked the door and lead everyone into the small apartment shared by the mechanic, his assistant, and Key. While toeing off their shoes, Hyuk, Hongbin, and Leo glanced around the apartment, and were surprised by how cozy it was. Wonsik was surprised as well, because the last time he was there it was a disaster. He assumed this was the 'great cleaning' Key had accomplished.

From the entrance, they walked straight into the living room, and to the left of the front door was a short hallway. The bedroom was at the end of the hall, the door wide open to reveal two twin sized beds, and the single door on the right was the bathroom. To the right was an even shorter hallway, if it could even be called that, that opened up into the kitchen. On the couch in the living room was a pillow and blanket, which must have been where Key had been sleeping the past couple weeks.

Hongbin set his backpack with his and Hyuk's clothes on the couch. Wonsik immediately walked to the bedroom to set Jaehwan down, and Leo was hot on his heels.

"Answer me, Wonsik." Leo ordered, raising the volume of his voice slightly. "Where is Hakyeon?"

Wonsik carefully laid Jaehwan down on the closest twin bed, and turned to face the wolf man. He decided it was best not to beat around the bush, and rip the band-aid off to get it over with.

"The suits caught him."

The entire apartment went silent, Wonsik's statement ending the little chatter the others in the living room were having. Wonsik watched as Leo's eyes widened and his mouth opened slightly in shock. Then, that shock was quickly replaced by a burning rage, and the older man his heel to march back into the living room. The musician followed behind, surprised by Leo's quick movement.

"What are you doing?" Wonsik questioned.

"I'm going to get Hakyeon." Leo answered as he walked up to Woohyun, who was sitting on the far end of the couch next to Hongbin and Hyuk. "Where's your shotgun?"

Woohyun gaped at the wolf man for a moment before realizing the danger of answering. He clamped his mouth shut and shook his head, "I'm not going to tell you."

"It's in the truck, isn't it?" Leo guessed, and judging from the subtle widening of the mechanic's eyes he'd guessed right. He turned around to head for the door.

"There's only one bullet, anyways! It's useless!" Woohyun exclaimed, and Leo paused mid-step to turn back to the younger.

"It's better than nothing!" Leo snarled down at the brunette, who cringed at the vicious glare directed at him.

Jonghyun walked up to the taller man from his place by the entrance, "Leo, calm down. We need to think this through-"

"There isn't enough time!" Leo raised his voice even higher than before. "Every second we waste is another second Hakyeon spends at their mercy, if they even have any! He could be suffering right now, at this very moment- no- I know he is. Now, get out of my way!"

Before the platinum-haired man even had a chance to comply, Leo shoved him to the side and started for the door. From the couch, Hyuk and Hongbin watched their hyung with worry and fear, unable to say anything to calm him. Leo made it to the other end of the couch before halting when he noticed Key standing in front of the door. The blonde held Leo's glare with determination as he reached up, and turned the lock on the door handle.

"You're not going after them, Leo." Key stated in a hard, serious tone that sent chills down everyone's spines; except Leo's.

"Key, stay out of my way." Leo warned, his voice getting dangerously low.

As an answer, Key lifted his hand off the door handle, and reached higher to slip the chain lock in place. The sound of the small metal piece sliding against metal escalated the tension in the room.

"Wonsik," Leo barely heard Jonghyun whisper to the musician. "Take Woohyun, Hyuk, and Hongbin into the bedroom, and stay in there for a while 'til we have this settled."

"But, hyung-" Wonsik was cut off when Key spoke to Leo again.

"You know full well that you don't stand a chance against them." While Key spoke, Wonsik motioned for the three men on the couch to follow him, and they all shuffled down the hall. "They literally have an army, and you think you can barge into the facility and make it out alive?"

"Key, move aside." Leo demanded through clenched teeth, ignoring the question.

"They have tranquilizers and guns, and hundreds of cyborg and hybrid suits. If you go after Hakyeon now, they will either capture you or kill you."

"Key, move asi-" Leo repeated louder, but was interrupted by Key's outburst.

"Hakyeon has been with them for almost an hour, Leo! He's probably already in the lab, and you know it's damn near impossible to get in there!"

"That's why we have to get him out before they do something to him!" Leo finally roared, losing the remaining bit of his composure. "He won't survive in there, Key! He's not strong enough!"

"It's too late, Leo!" Key roared right back. "Hakyeon was doomed from the moment they caught him!"

"Don't talk about him like he's already dead!"

"HE MIGHT AS WELL BE!"

tick  tock  tick  tock  tick  tock

A toxic silence fell upon them with only the sound of the ticking clock echoing through the room, and Jonghyun carefully stepped his way around Leo to stand between the panting men. However, his movement went unnoticed by the two hybrids as their gazes remained locked with each other.

"Guys." Jonghyun said softly, trying to gain their attention. He looked back and forth between Key and Leo, and his blood went cold when he noticed Leo's eyes turning a dangerous gold. When he looked back to the blonde, Key's were the same.

"Guys?" The mechanic tried again, heart pounding in his chest in fear of what could happen next.

He put his hands out to both in a calming gesture, and they started shaking when he heard a deep, guttural growl rumble from Leo followed by a lighter, feline one from Key. "Leo," his voice was nothing more than a fearful whisper now, "Key, calm-"

Jonghyun heard a vicious snarl from behind him, and he instinctively crouched down and out of the way. Leo's tall figure shot past him, and Jonghyun watched in horror as Key ducked to avoid a punch and threw his entire body weight into Leo's torso. The wolf men fell to the floor with a deafening THUD! and Key jumped over him to run towards the kitchen with incredible speed. Leo growled angrily, and scrambled to his feet to chase after the cheetah man.

"Guys, stop!" Jonghyun shouted as he followed them into the kitchen, but he knew they wouldn't listen.

He entered the kitchen in time to see Leo toss Key onto the small dining table, destroying the vase and knocking two mugs off the table. The cheetah man rolled off to stand at the far end of the kitchen. However, the second his feet hit the floor Leo launched forward to lift him up by the collar of his black sweatshirt, and slammed him against the window.

Jonghyun winced when he heard the glass crack from the force, and Key let out a feline snarl as he managed to plant both of his feet on Leo's stomach and kicked him back. Leo let out a high pitched canine yelp when his ribs collided with the edge of the countertop, and his right elbow landed on top of the dirty dishes piled up next to the sink, all of them breaking under his weight. Key took this moment to leap back over the dining table, landing next to the counter on the opposite side.

Leo whirled around to lunge at Key, baring his teeth as he barked in rage at the blonde. The cheetah man quickly yanked a drawer from its place, and hurled it at the wolf man with all his might. It happened to be the silverware drawer, and Leo was lucky enough to shield his face in time as the drawer collided with his head. He reeled back from the force of the blow, stepping on forks, spoons, and knives that had fallen around him. Ignoring the cuts and stabs at the bottoms of his feet, Leo chased after Key, who was shoving Jonghyun out of the kitchen and down the other hallway. When Jonghyun was safely out of the way, he turned into the living room.

Key vaulted over the couch, but Leo jumped faster than him. Before the blonde could run to the opposite end of the room, Leo tackled him to the floor causing the smaller man to cry out. The wolf man growled, straddling Key as he punched him once, twice, three times. On his forth punch, Key cocked his head to the side, causing him to hit the wood floor instead. Key grabbed his arm before he could pull it back, and sunk his feline fangs deep into his flesh.

The wolf man howled in pain, and angrily yanked his arm free as he got to his feet above the blonde. He clutched onto Key's shirt, hauled the lighter man up into the air, and flung him across the room. Glass shattered as Key collided with the tv hanging on the wall, and he fell on top of the entertainment center underneath.

"Oh my God!" Jonghyun cried out, horrified by the scene. "Leo, please, stop!"

Gasping to regain the breath that was knocked out of him, Key clumsily rolled off the wooden surface to fall onto the floor on all fours. Leo bent forward to grab the cheetah man again, but Jonghyun lunged forward and tackled the wolf man onto the floor by the couch. The mechanic tried to pin the larger man down, but before he could straddle the other, Leo managed to land a hard left hook to his face. Jonghyun fell off to the side with his hand over his right eye, momentarily dazed.

Leo twisted to get up on his hands and knees, and when he looked up Key was standing in front of him. With a growl, Key kicked Leo

Chapter 46: I think you need to do what you feel is best for you. We all need time to grieve and come to terms with what happened. I cried for days when I got the news and it feels like a part of me has been ripped away. I understand you not wanting to continue with him as a character in the story.
As for VIXX... Everyone has different opinions and ways of seeing things and dealing with situations...personally, when I see them exhausted and struggling, I worry about them, I want to lift some of the burden somehow. I want to tell them to rest and take care of themselves, but I also want to tell them to keep doing their best. I believe that VIXX and Starlights are a unit together and that it's our job to support and encourage each other. I love them all so, so much and their well-being (physically, mentally and emotionally) is of the utmost importance to me and so I worry a lot but I am also immensely proud of them. They always do their best and work hard to be the best that they can be while showing their appreciation for Starlights and I find that really admirable. Even exhausted, they give it their all to show their fans something amazing because they love Starlights and their passion for what they do is boundless. Seeing their determination despite the difficulties they face just makes me love them even more. To be honest, I could never abandon them like that. Leaving them because they were tired... is not a good reason. It's a shame that you couldn't grasp the immense effort they put in to show you a good performance.
Do what you want with the story and don't continue if you really can't, but please try to be more understanding of others in the future. We are all human beings and it is imperative to remember that they are humans too.

Chapter 46: I think you should still continue writing the story. Though I understand the point about Jonghyun and with that I think you can 3 things with his character. The 1st option is to keep writing it with him in it, 2nd option is to exchange someone from another group with him and take the time to rewrite his parts to fit said new character and the 3rd option is to remove home out of the story completely. I personally would be sad if you take his character out but it's not my story to say any of the final stuff regarding the story. What ever you end up doing I'll respect it.

Chapter 46: Hi authornim.. Finally u are back.. Or atleast have inform ur whereabouts..
1stly.. I am very agree with ChaYuume comment bellow..
Its up to u.. If u want to resume this story or not.. If u alr lost interest abt this story.. Bcz If u keep write this story.. U'll feel burden in fact.. U also can't give soul to ur story..
2nd abt ur experience in VIXX concert.. Well
I have my own experience for VIXX in SEA last July.. And truth to be told as ChaYuumee said.. We can't decide that some idols not give them all to fans (I telk this not only in name of VIXX but every idol in general)
Yepp u must be known that before VIXX have a concert at ur country, they alr had many scheduled they done.. And don't u think they stamina and energy almost zero? But they keep their scheduled over ur country.. If that not a way of their act to show Starlight Canada how they really appreciate ur invite?

Truth be told.. I alr attend Super Show concert in my countries for 5 times.. And the 2 times I attend were SS4 when they held 3 days a row in my country.. And they seriously exhausted at the 2nd day (1st day I attend the concert) And when I attended the last days (I atrended the 2nd and 3rd days).. They looked so hype and excited.. Maybe bcz that day is their last so they could rest.. And they really gave their all out energy in the final days..

Its humanly abt idol tho..

So If u seriously thinking,u couldn't be a starlight anymore just bcz of ur 1st experience,, well sorry to say.. Im a little bit disappointes with ur fell tho.. Huhu..

If u told them not give their all just bcz of ur guessing abt they weren't as excited as the fans there.. Its not wise for them too.. ㅠㅠ
Sorry..

Chapter 46: I love this story. I love it's character. I hope the characters stays until the end. But if it's hard for you, I can understand. Thank you for your hard work author-nim

In the light of Jonghyun's passing and in the light of your experience to VIXX concert. Shinee is forever one of my favourite group. They're the second one after tvxq. When I love a group, that's mean no picking biases because I love them all. It tattered me very much, as a person who's much less experiencing the same mental illness. He could have a better future but maybe this is the best for him. And VIXX is, we can see from their schedule how packed it is. Entertaining people seem easy because we're watching without experiencing. Somehow, I hope you still love them the same.

Chapter 46: While I would like for this story to continue, I understand why you would want to stop.
In light of recent events, it would be a different story without Jonghyun.
I wish you well and support whatever choices you make.

Hello~!☆
So, first of all...
Your story is one of the best I ever read, the suspense and all were really... Overwhelming?
Anyway thank for writing such a story.
But, if you feels like you can't continue to write it, I think we can all understand it.
It's true that only you knows what future you had reserved to the characters of this story, and with Jonghyun's passing, I understand that it's harder, knowing also what the story is about.
Whether we are fans or not, it affect us all. We all knows who Shinee are, their songs, they had a major impact on kpop.
Even if it's in different ways, even if we dont have the same way to cope with that, to mourn, or whatsoever, it'll leave an impact on all of us.
(It's still a sensible point, I'll move on...)

Secondly, concerning your experience at VIXX's concert.... Well...They are humans.
You can't expect idols to always give it their all when they are exhausted or feels down, even if they are trying it could also not works sometimes. You can't say that they dont care for their fans, not after all they do FOR their fans. Even over their exhaustion, Idols gives you a good performance, even if they're feeling down or aren't in the mood, they take over themselves.
Say, when you are exhausted, are you in a state where you can do anything else aside from resting?
So why would it be different for idols, they are not robots. They push themselves and push their problem asides for the sake of their carreer. For the sake of their own health. The recent situation is sadly the proof of that.
You don't know what is really happening in their lives, they all have their own problems, whichever idol it can be.
And, with all that we know about Korea's idol industry,...

With all of that said, if you lost your motivation over this concert experience and the loss of Jonghyun; if you don't want to continue this story, I think that it's better to just stop it there (even if, I'm sure, we would have liked a proper ending).
In the end, its your story, we are your readers; as long as you feels good with your decision, we must respect it.

Thanks for your hard work~*
