“Finished discussing what you needed to?” Haneul heard Kevin say to her after swallowing a mouthful of pizza as she slipped into her seat next to him.

“Mhm. She’s such a nice mother, so concerned for her son all the time because he never returns to visit her.” Haneul’s face scrunched up in thought, “I wonder why though? He even lives here in Korea and it’s not like he lives especially far away from his mother.” Haneul tapped her chin in wonder, as if she didn’t know that he was an agent like her and had to go travelling all over the world to complete missions.

“Is that all you two talked about? Woohyun?” He asked suspiciously.

“Mhm.” Haneul smiled at him, “Why?”

“Oh, nothing.” Kevin said and turned his face away from her to hide his strange expression. He kept the fact that he saw a scene where it seemed like Woohyun’s mother was attacking her to himself. “So what was that about you always travelling?”

“Oh, I just travel a bit and the jet lag makes me lose my appetite a bit so I eat less, that’s all.” Haneul explained to him even though it was definitely untrue. Her appetite always stayed the same, as did that black hole stomach of hers, no matter where she was.

“Ah, alright then. You should dig in.” Kevin said as he shoved the remainders of the piece of pizza he was eating into his mouth.

Haneul reached for a slice of margarita pizza as Kevin reached for his 3^rd slice of that same pizza at the same time.

“Just out of curiosity, why did you choose this restaurant? Other than the fact that we can eat on the house, I’m sure there was another reason.”

“Woohyun?”

“And it’s not Woohyun either.”

Haneul looked him in the eye and held his gaze for a few seconds, almost unnerving him with her piercing gaze. She then broke her gaze to look at the slice of pizza in her hand. “How’s the pizza? Is it good?”

“Huh?” Kevin seemed thrown off by the question, expecting an answer to his question instead of another question in return. But he answered the question nonetheless. “Oh, it’s good. Really good, in fact.”

“That’s good then.” Haneul gave him a small smile and returned to eating and interacting with the others. Kevin gave her a puzzled look but then shook it off.

‘Why did I choose to come here just because he likes pizza?’ Haneul wondered to herself, ‘I didn’t even consciously realise it at the time.’

“I’ll join you guys inside in just a minute. I need to go buy some supplies first.” Haneul said to the U-Kiss boys and turned around and ran off. Dongho scratched his head and cocked it to one side.

“What’s noona getting?” He asked.

“No idea.” Soohyun said and grabbed Dongho by his sleeve and dragged him inside the gym. “Come, let’s go inside already.”

Across the road from the gym, Haneul was at a supermarket buying sports drinks for everyone. “How many will I need?” Haneul thought aloud and tapped her chin. In the end she decided to buy 10 for 8 people.

Haneul shoved her shopping along with some health snacks for after they work out into her gym bag and headed back into the gym. She headed for the change rooms but accidentally walked into the wrong one. She looked up from her bag to see a topless Kevin. “Oh god, I’m so sorry.” She apologised and walked back out like it was no big deal.

She then went and changed into her gym outfit and joined Eli at the weights.

“The weights, hey? How heavy a load can you lift?” Eli asked, obviously willing to show off.

Haneul thought for a while then decided to tone down the amount she could lift in case anyone became suspicious of her. “About 50. You?”

“Woah girl, strong much?” Eli said and laughed, “About the same actually. What do you do to be so strong?”

“Not sure really. Lots of time at the gym does help, you know?” Haneul said and laughed along with Eli.

After about 2 minutes at the weight lifts, Haneul felt she had enough. “Well, I’ll be heading off to the sit up station now. I don’t want my arms to become too muscly otherwise it wouldn’t look too attractive when I debut now, would it?” Haneul waved at Eli and hopped away.

“Hello Soohyun.” Haneul politely said as she lay on a sit up bench.

“Hey Haneul.” He responded breathlessly as he got off the sit up bench next to Haneul. “I’m going to take a break now so don’t exhaust yourself too much, okay?” Haneul simply nodded as she continued to do sit ups with her arms behind her head.

“Hey.” She heard Kevin’s familiar voice say to her as she sensed him lying down on the bench next to her.

“Hey.” Haneul responded still with her eyes closed.

“Man, you’re going at such a fast pace. You must have abs or something.” He joked.

“I do.” Haneul responded, still with her eyes closed, although slowing down a little so as not to show off her supreme fitness.

“You do?” Kevin asked, seemingly surprised yet unsurprised at the same time.

Haneul couldn’t be bothered answering and just slumped back onto the bench.

“Why are you stopping?”

“Can’t be bothered doing anymore.” Haneul sighed, “Going to the gym is so tedious at times.”

“Yeah, well I find it fun.” Kevin said as he lowered himself onto the bench, “Don’t you find it fun working your body out?” Kevin asked.

“Not really.” Haneul said and then thought to herself ‘At least not when you’ve been doing the same thing at least 5 times a week for the past 10 years.’

“Ah, alright then.” Kevin mumbled and started doing sit ups. Haneul opened her eyes and got off the bench carefully. She looked at Kevin and noticed how he seemed to be tired already and made her way to the change rooms again. She soon came out changed already with her gym bag in hand.

“Prepared to go already?” Kevin asked, pausing his sit ups to actually sit up and raise an eyebrow curiously at her.

“Nah, you guys can stay. Here, have an energy drink.” Haneul said as she passed him a bottle.

“You got us energy drinks?” Kevin asked in a surprised tone, “Wow, that was nice of you!”

“Geez, you make me sound like Soo Jin.” Haneul jokingly said and gave him the eye as she sat on the bench she was previously on.

“Well you are a little inconsiderate or rude at times.” Kevin said as he opened the cap of the plastic bottle then poured some of the content into his mouth.

“How so?” Haneul asked.

“You’re so rude to people that are concerned about you.”

“But it wasn’t in your place to be concerned about me!” Haneul argued.

“See? There you go at it again!” Kevin pointed out to Haneul.

Haneul grumbled and just shut .

“Well, I suppose whilst it wasn’t really in my place to be concerned, you should just be grateful when someone’s concerned for you, okay?” Kevin sweetly asked and smiled at Haneul. Haneul felt as if a child with the sweetest smile in the world had just asked her something.

“Fine, fine.” Haneul grumbled, surprising even herself. Even Woohyun’s attempts at grease never managed to make her budge (okay, okay. Maybe just once or twice), but this boy Haneul still very much considered a stranger was able to make her stubborn self agree with him.

“You’re not normal are you?” Haneul enquiringly asked.

“Why?” Kevin asked with the smallest hint of panic in his voice. Haneul took note of this panic but didn’t comment.

“How did you manage to convince me to agree with you and say fine?” Haneul pressed, “I never give in to anyone. Not even Woohyun.”

Kevin noticed how she seemed to endear Woohyun, “Well, what can I say? I am the almighty Kevin who has girls falling for him left and right.” Kevin winked at Haneul who laughed.

“Say that when you’re not all sweaty.” Haneul said as she picked up a small towel, bent over and used it to wipe his forehead of his sweat. “Geez, learn to wipe your sweat off first. It’s what you bring your towels for, other than showering.” Haneul tutted as she proceeded to wiping his neck with the towel. Kevin stared up at Haneul’s face which was mere inches away from his and narrowed his eyes strangely. Haneul cocked her head slightly to the side when she noticed he was gazing at her. The two of them stared at each other for a little bit before they were interrupted.

“Woo! Being all cold to each other when others are there but being all close up and intimate when we’re not watching? So sly, you guys!” Haneul and Kevin heard a familiar voice say out in English. Haneul’s hand with the towel dropped slightly as they both looked in the direction of the voice. Jaeseop came into view with his cat like smile and Haneul raised an eyebrow.

“What?” Haneul asked with a confused expression on her face and then remembered something. “Oh! Good timing! Here, I got you guys some energy drinks. Can you go and give the other guys some?”

“Don’t act dumb and innocent Haneul! Though, thank you for these drinks.” Jaeseop said and whacked Kevin on the back, “Nice going. Got yourself a good one. She’s even nice to her brother-in-laws.”

Kevin looked bothered and started to argue back, “Hyung, it’s really not that w-…”

“Kevin, Kevin.” Jaeseop said as he bent down slightly and pat Kevin on the back with what Haneul determined to be a proud look upon his face, “Who knew that you’d get a girl before your hyung does? But then again, you have that unexpected charm and badass side to you, don’t you? Congratulations.” He said and gave Kevin one last pat on the back and nod of his head before running off and telling the others.

“Wait- What?” Haneul asked, more confused than ever, “What was he talking about?”

“Well I’m guessing he’s thinking we’re going out.” Kevin said as he brought his palm to his face and rubbed it. “He’s always so assuming. This happened last time I even said a simple hi to Suzy from Miss A. I really don’t understand that hyung of mine.” Kevin shook his head.

“Why would he think we’re going out though?” Haneul asked, genuinely confused.

“Because you were wiping my sweat, I guess.”

“But isn’t that normal?” Haneul blinked her eyes innocently.

“No, apparently not.”

“But I always wipe the sweat of whoever I’m working out with when I’m at the gym?” Haneul said with a facial expression that was even more confused.

Kevin held back a laugh, “Well guess what? I don’t think you’re normal either, you strange girl.”

“Hey! I’m not strange!” Haneul protested.

“Oh, yes you are!” Kevin said in a teasing voice. Haneul pouted and stuck her tongue out at Kevin. Kevin then began laughing his strange and unique laugh and Haneul stared at him strangely. After a few seconds though, Haneul ended up laughing at his strange laugh.

“Oh boy, why is your laugh so strange? I’ve never heard one quite like that before!” Haneul laughed softly and placed her left hand on his right shoulder.

“My laugh is unique, thank you very much.” Kevin said and pouted cutely at Haneul. Haneul poked his nose with her right hand and the two of them began laughing again.

Little did they both know, this moment was not private to them.
