“Haneul-ah!” The chain that was on the door was immediately pulled off and Haneul darted out of the way to avoid being strangled by the cousin she hadn’t seen in months. “Haneul-ah! My dongsaeng! Come here and let oppa hug you!” He shouted out at her.

“What’s wrong Hyunseung?” Haneul heard the same husky voice as before call out. Haneul was temporarily distracted and Hyunseung took this as a chance to hug Haneul tightly. The person heard no response so came out to take a look.

“Ah! Haneul! To what do we owe the pleasure of your visit tonight?” Gikwang said with a big smile and then his smile got wider at the thought of something else, “Is Audrey with you?”

“Ah, no. Sorry.” Haneul wriggled away from Hyunseung’s tight hug to speak, “I’ve just come to visit my clingy and annoying cousin that I haven’t seen in months. Is that so wrong?”

“Nope! Not at all!” Gikwang said happily and opened the door wider, “Come in, come in! And by the way, I do agree that your cousin’s quite clingy.”

Hyunseung started hugging Haneul again and she whacked his head. “Yah! I can’t go in properly if all you’re trying to do is suffocate me!”

Hyunseung released Haneul slightly and pouted. “Can’t your precious oppa who hasn’t seen you in months hug you though?”

Haneul sighed, “Yes. But after I take a shower because I stink right now. Don’t you think I stink?”

“Not in the least. Who cares.” Hyunseung said happily.

“Hey guys! Guess who’s come for a visit?” The other Beast boys came out from behind the wall and each of them smiled excitedly except for Junhyung (who never really smiles excitedly) and all greeted Haneul cheerfully. Haneul smiled back at them equally as happy to see them all.

“Hey Haneul! How’s it been!” Yoseob happily chirped out to Haneul and she laughed at his chirpiness.

“It’s been good. Goodness, it’s been a long time since I last saw all of you!” Haneul said.

“Hey! How come you weren’t so excited to see me!” Hyunseung pouted and Haneul just flicked his forehead with her finger and shook her head in disparagement. “Hey! Don’t treat your oppa like that!” Haneul laughed at how silly Hyunseung easily became sometimes.

“Hey Gikwang, do you have any clothes left behind from Audrey’s last vi-…” Haneul paused as she saw a very beautiful girl with bright red lipstick appear from behind a wall. Two other very beautiful girls followed closely behind. “Hello.” Haneul bowed 45 degrees and the three of them seemed to cringe slightly at the smell. “Yeah I’m sorry about the smell. Just crawled through a rubbish truck.” Haneul laughed embarrassedly and all three of them peered at her in fascination.

“Who are you and why did you just crawl through a rubbish truck?” The middle one asked, blinking her wide eyes.

“Ah, long story, long story.” Haneul bit her lip gently and thought about the pocket watch that was probably slightly damaged in her pocket right at that moment. She shook the thought that her sister’s last present to her was damaged right out of her mind and put on a cheerful expression. “My name’s Haneul! Nice to meet you!”

“Yeah, we know.” The one the right of the centre girl laughed gently. Haneul noticed that her facial features made her seem really cute and soft, and not to mention she looked a good bit shorter than Haneul, “All the boys were greeting you loudly and mentioning your name too after all. I’m Sohyun.” She smiled gently at Haneul.

“I’m Hyuna and this is Gayoon.” The one in the centre with the red lipstick called Hyuna said and gestured to the girl on what would her left. She smiled at Haneul, although Haneul could detect that her words and smile were slightly bitter and made a mental note to find out why later.

“Ah, nice to meet you.” Haneul smiled at the three of them and made another mental note to investigate them later.

“You know us, right?” Sohyun said softly, “We’re 4minute?”

Haneul nodded her head remembering some girl group called 4minute from amongst her research about the K-Pop world which she had been 100% out of touch with before this, “Of course I know!” She nodded eagerly, even though she didn’t really.

The three of them seemed somewhat pleased that Haneul knew them.

“Anyway, I think I’ll talk to you guys later. Gikwang has Audrey left any clothes behind before?” Haneul tapped on Gikwang’s muscular arm as she asked him.

“Uh, yeah. Come in.” Gikwang led Haneul to his room and the boys laughed behind him.

“Audrey’s left clothes behind, eh?” Junhyung whistled at Gikwang.

Gikwang glared at him. “Oh shut up. It’s not what you guys think!”

The boys continued to whistle and Gikwang just ignored them and went to his wardrobe and pulled open a drawer which was half the size of Haneul’s drawers back at her own apartment. “These are all the clothes Audrey’s left here before. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind you utilising them.”

Haneul took a quick shower to freshen up then got dressed in Audrey’s clothes. Haneul sighed a breath of relief that they were similarly sized because otherwise she’d have to borrow her cousin’s clothes and she didn’t want to spite that Hyuna girl anymore. Haneul had figured out the reason for her bitterness towards Haneul because she remembered she watched a video of her cousin with that girl in a sub-unit called ‘Troublemaker’. Haneul chuckled to herself at the thought that she and her silly cousin could be romantically involved. Haneul wondered if it was jealousy towards Haneul being so close with Hyunseung. She pulled out her phone and did some internet research on ‘4Minute’. She memorised all their birth dates, heights (which she could already tell were false), blood types and immediate family. She then safely tucked her phone away and opened the door.

She stepped out to find Yoseob immediately running over and kneeling in front of her as if he were begging for something. “What’s wrong Yoseob oppa?” Haneul asked in confusion.

“Please! Help us! It’s terrible!” Yoseob said dramatically.

“What’s wrong?” Haneul asked, furrowing her eyebrows.

“Hyuna she…” Yoseob paused for dramatic effect, “She really can’t cook!” Haneul sighed and smacked her hand over her face at Yoseob’s over-dramatization of things.

“So what do you want me to do about it?” Haneul sighed.

“Cook for us instead… Please?” He asked with his aegyo.

Haneul sighed again, “Fine.” she said, but not due to his aegyo, “I’ll cook. What do you guys have?”

“Woohoo!” Yoseob cheered and ran back into the kitchen, “Haneul’s gonna cook for us!”

“Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!” Haneul heard Hyunseung shout loudly in excitement and she covered her ears, “Haneullie’s cooking! I haven’t had it since at least a year ago!”

Haneul bonked his head with her fist and then rolled her sleeves up. “Ah… you’re still just as mean as ever.” He pouted and Haneul laughed. Her laughter ceased slightly when she noticed Hyuna pouting and upset in the corner of the room and she couldn’t help but to laugh slightly. “What? What’s so funny?” Hyunseung hyperly asked and Haneul glared at him in a bid to get him to shut up.

Haneul walked over to the stove and noticed a burnt charcoal piece of meat in the skillet. She winced at the look of it. She used her foot to open the bin lid and threw it out. Haneul then went over to the fridge and pulled out a fresh pack of meat.

After half an hour Haneul had made enough T-bone steaks for all the Beast boys and the 3 4minute girls. “Aren’t you going to make yourself some?” Dongwoon asked.

Haneul thought about staying and eating for a moment but just shook her head, “No. I’ve got food waiting for myself at home with the girls… And the guys.”

“The girls? The guys?” Hyunseung asked as he came back into the kitchen to get sauce, “What girls and guys?”

Haneul then realised she hadn’t told her cousin a thing yet and started to laugh. “What?” He asked stiffly and Haneul smiled at him through her laughter.

“I can’t believe I forgot to tell you.” Haneul continued to laugh as Hyuna and Gayoon walked into the kitchen and Hyuna frowned at her whilst Gayoon raised an eyebrow. Haneul noticed the new entrants, especially Hyuna so she couldn’t help but to smirk just slightly, “I can’t believe I forgot to tell you, my dear Hyunseung oppa.” She noticed Hyuna and Gayoon both looking slightly annoyed at her.

“What? What did you forget to tell oppa?” Hyunseung frowned, “Did you get a guy? Yah! Who said you could get a guy! I haven’t approved yet!” Hyunseung jumped to his own conclusions and Haneul only continued to laugh as she waved her hand.

“No, no. Nothing like that. I’m going to be debuting into the K-Pop industry that you yourself are in, oppa.” Haneul bit back another smile as she watched the information sink into Hyunseung’s brain.

Hyunseung’s expression went from blank to confused to even more confused to realization then to excitement. “Really? Really, really, really?” Hyunseung said excitedly and even Dongwoon seemed to look quite excited. “Wow! That’s great Haneul!” Hyunseung swept Haneul up into his arms and spun her around in an excited hug.

“No! Let me down!” Haneul exclaimed while laughing and hitting his shoulder. After 5 full revolutions, Hyunseung finally put Haneul down and she rubbed her eye. “Gosh. I’m dizzy now. Just look at you, oppa. Why are you so excited anyway?”

“Because my most precious dongsaeng is debuting in the K-Pop world of course!” Hyunseung paused for a moment to think then yelled out to all the people eating at the dining table and in the living room, “Yah! All of you! My dongsaeng’s going to debut soon!”

Junhyung, Yoseob and Doojoon looked surprised whilst Gikwang bit back a smile. He had already heard from Audrey this might happen and he had been reminded by Audrey to ‘take care of’ Haneul.

“Wah… Congratulations… Unnie?” Sohyun politely said as she clapped her hand.

“Yup! She’s our new unnie, Sohyun!” Hyunseung said happily, “And your new unnie is going to debut soon! Want to say some words of wisdom to your new hoobae?”

“Geez, who said it was soon oppa?” Haneul whacked him across the head again and he pouted.

“Geez… You’re hitting me so much considering the fact that we haven’t seen each other in months… When did you become so mean?” He said and hugged her tightly while pouting and rocking from side to side.

“Jesus!” Junhyung exclaimed, “You guys are acting like a couple or something!”

“No, only he is.” Haneul wrinkled her nose slightly and pushed Hyunseung away from her. “Geez oppa… You’re so clingy today. Are you doing this on purpose to try and make Hyuna or one of the 4minute girls jealous or something?” Both Hyuna and Hyunseung blushed at the same time and Haneul held back an evil smirk.

Haneul noticed that Hyuna and Gayoon both couldn’t help but to sigh in relief at this. Gayoon nudged Hyuna who looked a little bit too happy that Haneul and Hyunseung weren’t romantically involved.

“Excuse me for asking then, but what is your relationship then?” Gayoon boldly asked.

“What? Did you think we were romantically involved or something?” Haneul asked brazenly. Gayoon lost her gusto and meekly nodded. “Well we’re sure as heck not! First of all why would I want to go out with such a clingy and annoying guy who’s always in his own little world and so 4D?” Haneul stuck her tongue out at the thought of it.

“Hey, you’re 4D too.” Dongwoon walked by and ruffled Haneul’s hair, “Don’t forget you’re always in your own little world too.”

“Wait… Yah! Don’t mess up the hair! I just washed it!” Haneul frowned.

“Yeah, and with whose shampoo?” Dongwoon retraced his steps backwards and sniffed her hair, “That’s my shampoo missy, so I’m allowed to mess up your hair as much as I like.”

“No you’re not! And how do I know you’re telling the truth?” She exclaimed as she grabbed onto the back of Dongwoon’s neck and pulled his head towards her nose. She sniffed his hair and then let go and pouted.

“You see I’m right, hey?” He laughed and winked at her. Haneul then noticed that Gayoon seemed kind of annoyed at Haneul’s actions and Haneul sighed inwardly. What exactly was wrong with these girls and getting jealous of her. She definitely wasn’t romantically interested in anyone and one of the last people it’d be would Dongwoon because of how strange she found he acted. Sometimes she felt that he acted even weirder than her cousin. Haneul then remembered that Dongwoon was younger than Gayoon and wondered to herself why girls would want to go out with guys younger than them when guys generally matured slower but simply shook the thoughts out of her head and told herself it was none of her business.

“Whatever.” Haneul muttered, “But you’re still not allowed to mess up my hair, you hear me?”

“Um, excuse me.” Gayoon cleared in annoyance at Haneul and Dongwoon’s interaction. “So what exactly was your relation with Hyunseung here again? You can continue on from before you and Dongwoon started discussing your hair.”

“Ah yes.” Haneul said and tightly hugged Hyunseung’s arm one last time to teaser Hyuna who still seemed a little uncomfortable at this gesture even if the two of them said they weren’t romantically involved.

“We’re… well…” Haneul purposely dragged it out to torture the two of them and then saw their expressions, ready to kill and decided to drop it, “We’re cousins. You probably wouldn’t guess that from the way we act, or at least especially how he acts,” Haneul paused to glare up at Hyunseung, “But we really are cousins.” She hugged his arm tighter, “We’re really close though, so don’t mind us.” She smiled softly as she directed her words at Hyuna who seemed to have realised that Haneul had caught on, “We tend to act a little… Un-cousin-ly sometimes. It’s just that we didn’t have many other people other than each other when we were younger but in recent years we haven’t gotten to see each other much.”

“Yeah, what with you being born in US and the ending up moving around so much these days.” Hyunseung frowned at her and then his expression brightened, “But you’re going to settle down in Korea now, right?”

Haneul simply nodded and smiled at him, feeling like she was unable to say otherwise and bring down his bright expression.

“Ah, I see now.” Gayoon nodded in relief, “So… Are you romantically interested in anybody?”

Haneul purposely paused just to teaser Gayoon and then tapped her chin, “Hm… Allow me a bit of time to think about that…”

“What’s there to think about?” Gayoon asked exasperatedly.

“Nah, I’m just joking. There’s nobody. Absolutely nobody.” Haneul laughed at the thought of her being interested in anybody then her laughter faulted as she thought about what her sister would think of this. “Anyway, it’s getting late.” Haneul brought her phone up to show the time even though she already knew it was past 9 without looking. “I’ve really got to get home. It’s been fun and all here, but my group mates and the U-Kiss guys will get worried. Bye!” She waved back at the rest of them and went to collect her dirty clothes which she had left in a plastic bag. Hyunseung guided her to the door.

Haneul was halfway down the hallway when all of a sudden Hyunseung’s slow brain seemed to come back down from space and realise something and called out to Haneul which made her chuckle.

“Wait! You’re living with them U-Kiss guys too?!”
