= Shin Aegi =

After we were done with the dinner, I wanted to help washing the dishes with Doojoon and Junhyung. So I tied my hair. But then, Omoni dragged me away from the kitchen and told me not to do any house work since I was a special guest for her today. She hushed me away from the kitchen as she replaced my place to wash the dishes. It made Haekyung complained again that Omoni was spoiling me too much. I guessed she did. But I was glad to know that she cared a lot about me.

So I decided to stroll around the Lee’s house as I remembered my memories of the Lee house. I used to play at this house when I waited for Appa to come home from his cake shop. Lee Omoni used to teach me how to cook and let me to help her cooked at the kitchen. And when Appa had to work until late, I used to have dinner with them. I used to play with Gikwang and Haekyung on the garden. I had many memories about this house.

Then I found Gikwang’s room. I remembered his room’s location because I used to sleep on his room whenever Appa had to go out from town for his work. Besides, his room used to locate across my room on the next door house.

Yes, Lee Family was my next door neighbor.

The door was opened and I saw Gikwang was on his room. He was looking at the book on his hand. So I knocked the door.

Gikwang turned and gave me a smile as he saw me.

“Can I come in?” I asked him.

He nodded. “But noona usually just barged in instead of knocking and asking for permission.” He said as I came approaching him.

I smiled with the fact that he just told me. I used to barge in to his room. “Well, I guess not anymore.” I told him and looked at the book that he brought. “What is that?”

Gikwang smiled again. “Do you remember these?” He handed the book at me.

A smile came to my face as I recognized the book that he handed to me. It was our conversation book.

Since our rooms were facing to each other, I used to have a chat with him. But because we couldn’t yell at each others, so we used to write what we wanted to say on a book and showed what we had written on the book to the other side. I used to throw something to his window to start our conversation. It was so nostalgic. I also kept my conversation book at my place.

“Ah, I miss this.” I told Gikwang as I turned the pages of his book.

= Lee Gikwang =

I looked at Aegi Noona’s face as she looked at the conversation book. She was smiling so gently. She looked very beautiful with her smile like that. I always knew that Noona was pretty.

Noona gasped as she found something that took her interest. “Do you remember this?” She asked me as showing the page to me.

The page that she showed to me said, Noona, teach me how to fight. I want to be stronger.

I smiled with the words that I wrote while I was still on 5^th grade. I remembered that I asked Noona to teach me how to fight since I got bullied on my class because Noona had protected me a lot. Besides, Noona would soon be graduated from the elementary school. So I thought that I needed to depend on my self instead of relying on Noona. I used to look up at her and followed her around everywhere when I was a kid. For me, Noona was someone that I idolized and adored, just like my mom.

Noona turned another page and chuckled. I guessed she really reminisced about our past together as she read the book.

Then she looked up to the window that faced to her old room. “Is the house already occupied now?” She asked as she came toward the window and looked at the room across my window.

I came to her and leaned on the window sill as I crossed my hands across my chest. “Yes.” I looked at her. “But your room is occupied by a boy now.” I paused. “A real boy now.”

Noona laughed with my words since I emphasized the word ‘real’. She must have understood what I meant. I just looked at her as a smile plastered on my face. I really missed to joke around with Noona like this.

“But for real, Noona, I really miss you.”

But suddenly, Noona’s expression changed. Her smile disappeared and she just looked at me with her eyes.

But then, knocks were heard from my door.

= Yong Junhyung =

I was looking for Gikwang because Omoni was looking for him. And Aegi was disappeared too from the living room where we were gathered. So I decided to go upstairs. Probably they were upstairs talking.

Aegi and Gikwang used to be so close, just like siblings. They lived side by side. I knew that their rooms were facing at each others. We used to have a battle and used their rooms as our bases.

And I was right.

Aegi was with Gikwang on his room. They were standing by the window. I smiled to see them and I raised my hand ready to knock the door. But I stopped as I heard Gikwang said…

“But for real, Noona, I really miss you.”

I looked at Aegi’s expression. Her face had changed. Her smile disappeared and she looked at Gikwang as if she was questioning why Gikwang said that to her. Probably she was wondering the real meaning of Gikwang words. But I was afraid that she would be hurt if she kept on going.

Because I knew precisely how Gikwang really felt for Aegi…

So I knocked the door, making both of Gikwang and Aegi turned to look at me. I smiled at them.

“Gikwang, Omoni is looking for you.”

“Ah, right.” Gikwang seemed to realize something then he looked back to Aegi. “Omma asked me to clean up the picnic table.”

Aegi just nodded and returned the book that she held to Gikwang. “Okay.” She said as she gave him a sweet smile.

Gikwang returned the smile as he received the book. He put the book back to his desk then walked out from the room. He nodded at me to thank me as he passed by my side and walked away. I just looked at Gikwang then turned to see Aegi as she stopped beside me.

I smiled lopsided to see her then faced my body to her and leaned forward to her ear.

“In case if you’re wondering…”

She turned her face to see me. I flashed my lopsided smile at her.

“Gikwang doesn’t have any girlfriend right now.”

I moved away from her. I didn’t know why I told her that. But I just felt that she needed to know.

“What?”

I leaned on the door frame. “He did have girlfriend before. But they broke up at the end.” I paused. “Then, after you know this, will you still want to go after him?”

Aegi leaned her back on the door frame across on me. She looked downward. “I don’t know. I’m not even sure that he likes me or not.”

Again, I saw that pouted lips of her.

“Then if you don’t know, why don’t you try to look for someone that like you and get over him?”

She raised her gaze and looked at me with frowned and annoyed face. “Do you think it’s so easy to do that?” She straightened her body. “Try to fall in love with someone then being rejected by her.” She walked away.

Ah, she was being sarcastic again.

Well, Aegi, for your info, I know it’s not easy to get over someone that you loved so much.

I looked at her as a lopsided smile came to my face. I straightened my body then followed her.

Because I has fallen for you at one time before and you never notice about me.
