“Taehyung-ah,” Mrs. Jung knocked on her son’s bedroom door before opening it and peeking in. V was still sleeping soundly with the blanket over his head.

Mrs. Jung clucked her tongue, “He really wants to be late, doesn’t he?” She stepped in her son’s room and strode towards him. “Taehyung-ah, wake up. You’re really going to be late if you don’t wake up right now.” Mrs. Jung shook her son awake.

“Mm. Five more minutes, mom.” V mumbled under the blanket. “Five more minutes and you’ll have to spend two extra hours with Mr. Choi.” Mrs. Jung reminded. V groaned and pulled the blanket off his face sitting up, “But I’m tired.” “Well, no one told you to stay out until eleven thirty, did they?” “…No.” “Then it’s your fault. Now get up and get ready for school. You’re already late.”

V turned to look at his digital clock and his eyes widened, “Oh !” He jumped out of bed, rushing out of his bed room. “Kim Taehyung!” Mrs. Jung shouted. “Sorry!” V’s voice was heard down the hall.

Mrs. Jung clucked her tongue, shaking her head, “This lazy boy.”

“Ha. And mom said I couldn’t make it.” V laughed. Bundang High was just in the distance. “I’ll be able to make it. I won’t get to spend time with Mr. Choi.”

V began to walk towards the school taking his sweet time. However when he was almost there, the school gates closed on him. V’s eyes widened as he ran towards the closed gates.

“Damn. Now I’m really late.” V then shrugged. “Eh, I guess I don’t need to go to school today then.” He grinned but it quickly faded away when he remembered Haneul. “No, I can’t skip school. I can’t let Haneul deal with others alone.”

Then an idea came to mind. V smirked and quickly dashed to the back of the school. He stood in front of the brick wall that separated him from the school.

V wore both of his backpack straps and made sure that it was secure on his back. Then he reached up and held on to the top of the wall. He used his arm muscles to help lift up his body with the help of his feet too.

In a matter of seconds, V was sitting on top of the wall. He grinned in triumph and looked down. He jumped off the wall and gracefully landed on his feet. He dusted his hands together and headed towards the school building.

Like a ninja, V crept into the school doors and rushed to the third floor where his class was and also where Haneul was.

When he reached the classroom, he peeked in to see if the teacher was in. Fortunately, there was no teacher so V slipped into the classroom with ease.

Students in the classroom turned their heads to see who was coming in. To their surprise, it was V.

Why are they so surprised, you ask?

It’s because whenever V is late for school, he never comes because why bother, right? And to see that he’s there when he’s late is something remarkable. It’s as shocking as seeing him speak to someone who wasn’t BTS.

Haneul looked up and saw that V was the person who stepped into the classroom. V looked over at her and met her gaze. He gave her a smile to which she returned. He then made his way over to his seat, which was next to Haneul.

V sat down and pulled off his backpack, dropping it to the ground. He slumped back in his chair heaving a sigh with his eyes closed.

“You’re late.” Haneul stated. V chuckled and opened his eyes, turning to look at his love. “I know, I would have skipped school but I remembered that you were here so I decided to come.”

Haneul’s cheeks flushed pink. She turned away and cleared . V chuckled liking how he made her blush.

He sat up and leaned towards her. “No one messed with you, right?” He asked concerned masked all over his face. Haneul shook her head in respond. V smile and leaned back a little, “That’s good then.” “I guess. You know, I was half expecting you to greet me when I came to school but your friends made up for that.”

V felt his heart swell in happiness. Had he just heard right? Had his first love really just say what he thought she said?

*She was expecting me to greet her?* V smiled broadly “You were?” Haneul shrugged embarrassed that she had just accidently blurted what she was thinking.

“Well from now on, you don’t have to worry about that anymore. I’ll greet you every day.” V pledged.
