“I’m home.” Haneul called, slipping off her shoes, and into her slippers. “Oh, Haneul,” Mr. Kim smiled walking out of the kitchen. “How was school?” “Fine. I’m going to my room.” Mr. Kim nodded.

Haneul bowed and trudged towards her bedroom. Mr. Kim watched his daughter walk towards her room. He noticed something was off about her, but didn’t probe. “She must be tired from school.” He mumbled before walking into the living room.

Haneul closed her door and dropped her backpack onto the ground next to her door. She slid down the door.

She was scared and angry. Scared that BTS would harm her because they were gangsters and angry that they didn’t tell her.

A tear rolled down Haneul’s eye. She sniffed and wiped it away with the back of her hand. Haneul pulled out her phone and saw that she received five new messages and all of them were from V.

Haneul bite her bottom lip and erased them all. She tapped her dial pad and pressed the number three before putting it to her ear.

After three rings, the other person picked up.

“Hello beautiful.” A voice greeted. Haneul let out a small giggle before asking, “Oppa, can you come get me?”

Upon hearing that, the other person on the line became worried. “Are you okay? Did something happen?” “I’ll tell you when you come and pick me up. You know where I live now, right?” “Of course I do. What kind of cousin would I be if I didn’t?” “A bad one.” “That’s right and I’m not a bad cousin. I’m on my way so get ready.” “Bye.” “See you soon, beautiful.”

Haneul hung up and pulled her phone away from her ear. She heaved a sigh before tilting her head up to look at the ceiling.

“Hopefully after talking to oppa everything will be better.” She murmured before standing up and changed into more comfortable clothes.

“I’ll be back dad.” Haneul kissed her dad’s cheek. “Did you call your cousin? I can hear his car.” Mr. Kim chuckled. Haneul gave him a small smile. “Yeah, I missed oppa. Bye dad.” “Have fun. Remember to come back early, you have school tomorrow.” “I know.”

Haneul walked out of the living room to the front door. She slipped on her shoes and opened the door. She stepped out and closed the door locking it behind her. Haneul walked towards the gate, opened it, and stepped out.

“Neul-ah!” A voice called. Haneul looked up and saw her cousin waving at her from inside his car.

“Myungsoo oppa.” Haneul beamed. L got out of his car and rushed up to Haneul pulling her into a hug, “Aigoo, I’ve missed you, Neul.” Haneul wrapped her arms around L’s waist, “I missed you too, Myungsoo oppa.”

L pulled away making a face, “How many times do I have to tell you to call me ‘L’ and not ‘Myungsoo’?” “You will forever be ‘Myungsoo oppa’ to me.” Haneul stuck out her tongue. L chuckled and ruffled his cousin’s hair, “Come on, get in and I’ll treat you to something yummy.” Haneul beamed and nodded.

She had forgotten why she called her cousin.

Haneul let out a laugh, “Really, oppa?” L shrugged with a smile, “It’s yummy and it’s your favorite café so why not.” “Oppa, you really are the best.” “I know, I’m perfect.”

Haneul snorted and linked arms with him, “Come on, I can’t wait to have my favorite drink.” L laughed being pulled into the café called Destiny.

The two cousins found a spot in the back of the café. They sat across from each other.

“What would you like, Neul?” L asked. Before Haneul could reply, L held up a finger, “Let me guess, a peppermint mocha frappe, am I right?”

Haneul giggled and nodded. L grinned, “You’re still the same, Neul I know.” “Of course I am. Just because I go to a different school doesn’t mean that I’m any different.”
