Haneul stepped out of the school gates. She took a deep breath and was about to start walking home when someone called her, "Neul-ah!"

Hearing that nickname, Haneul turned to her right and was greeted by her favorite cousin with a smile on his face.

"Myungsoo oppa!" Haneul ran over to her cousin, who had his arms open for her. She jumped into his arms and he laughed spinning her around. "Oppa!" She squealed in delight.

L set her back down on her feet and pulled away. "How was school? Was there any trouble?" He asked. Haneul shook her head, "No. Everything was fine." "That's good to hear." "I've missed you a lot, oppa." "Aigoo, I've missed you too. Probably more than you miss me."

Haneul laughed shaking her head, "Oh, oppa." L chuckled and tweaked her nose.

The cousins didn't notice a pair of eyes watching them from afar. Jealousy and hurt burning in his heart.

"What are you doing here, oppa? Are you here to visit or did something happen?" Haneul asked. L chuckled and ruffled his cousin's hair, "Nothing happened, but there is something you need to know." Haneul's smile slowly faded away, "What is it?" "It took a lot to get some information about them, but I got it."

Haneul stiffened. The dreaded moment finally came. L saw how she stiffened so he rubbed her arm in comfort, "Hey, don’t worry. There's some bad…and good." However that still didn't comfort Haneul one bit.

"What…what did you find?" Haneul gathered enough courage to ask. L saw that Haneul was beginning to tremble a little. He grabbed her hands and gave them comforting squeezes, "Come, let's go to your house and I'll explain everything to you, alright?"

Haneul looked up at her cousin and gave him a small nod. L gave her a small smile and pulled her towards his car. He opened the door for her like a gentlemen and quickly went to the driver's side. Then the car sped off.  

V watched the car disappear. His heart fell remembering what he just saw. Haneul was laughing and talking to someone that wasn't him. How was he supposed to react? He couldn't have gone up to the guy and punched him in the face (which he really wanted to) because he knew it wasn't his place to do so.

Then a hand clasped over his shoulder, V turned to his left and saw Jin. "It's okay." Jin patted his shoulder. V shook his head, "I don’t know. It hurts to know that she won't ever share the same feelings as me and has a boyfriend."

V shrugged off Jin's hand and walked away. Jin watched his friend go. "Poor V, heartbroken already."

"Come in." Haneul said softly.

The Kim cousins had arrived at Haneul's house in no time. The drive there was quiet. L asked a couple of questions concerning school and Haneul replied with one word answers.

L followed Haneul into the house. "I'm home." Haneul called. "Ah, Haneul, you're home." Mr. Kim came out of his room. He looked up and saw L. "Hello uncle." L bowed. Mr. Kim smiled and greeted, "Welcome Myungsoo."

Haneul took off her shoes and slipped on her slippers. L also took off his shoes and slipped into an extra pair of slippers by the door.

"Are you going somewhere, dad?" Haneul asked her father seeing that he was dressed up. "Ah, yes. I was going to tell you that I got a job." Mr. Kim smiled. Haneul's eyes lit up as a smile spread across her lips, "Really?" Mr. Kim nodded, "Yes, but I need to go now. I won't be able to make it for dinner but your mom will, okay?"

Haneul nodded in understanding, "Okay. Drive safely." She kissed her dad on the cheek. "I will," Mr. Kim turned to L with a smile. "Make yourself at home and keep Haneul company so that she isn't too bored." L chuckled and nodded, "I will uncle."

Mr. Kim turned to Haneul. "Bye sweetheart. Don’t forget to do your homework also." "I won't. If I need help, I'll just have Myungsoo oppa do my homework for me." Haneul grinned at L, who rolled his eyes. "Don’t worry uncle, I'll make sure Neul does her homework and I won't help her one bit."

"Oppa, you're so stingy." Haneul made a face. L laughed and ruffled her hair, "No, I'm just trying to help you." "Whatever, you're still stingy."

Mr. Kim laughed at the two youngsters interaction, "I need to go now so have fun you two." "Bye dad." Haneul waved. "Bye uncle." L bowed. With one last nod, Mr. Kim left the house.

L then turned to Haneul and stuck out his bottom lip in a pout, "Can I get some water? I'm dying from thirst." Haneul gave her cousin a weird look before bursting into a fit of giggles and pushed his forehead, "Aigoo, Myungsoo oppa, you're just a whiny baby." "I am not."
