The rest of February went by in a breeze. It didn’t take long for the fourteenth day in March to come. White Day, the day that boys give girls in return for Valentine’s Day. A really dreadful day for the boys because they aren’t the most creative, wonderful cook, or smart at things, but there are things that turn out the way they want it.

Luck for them, White Day fell on a Saturday. Though it was good and bad because boys that knew where the girls lived could go over to their house or meet up with each other. Others had no luck and gave it to the girls a day early or two days late.

V was very fortunate that he had already planned everything out since Valentine’s Day. A month is advance. Impressive, isn’t it?

He had told Haneul to pack for White Day because he was going to take them on a trip. Haneul was curious where they were going, but he didn’t tell. Secret.

Haneul obliged and packed for V’s surprise, however there was a catch. They had to wake up early so that they were able to get to their destination on time.

BEEP! BEEP!

V’s alarm went off. He groaned, slamming the snooze button. He sat up in bed, yawning, and stretching. He slowly peeled open his eyes and looked at his digital clock. It was 5:15 a.m.

“Ugh. Why didn’t I pick somewhere closer?” He grumbled getting out of bed. V went to the bathroom and freshened up. Once he was done, he headed back to his room and got dressed. He wore dark jeans and a jean-like tree design button up.

He looked himself in the mirror and saw that he looked good, so he picked up his phone and took a selca to send to Haneul to wake her up.

‘Rise and shine babe! Today we’re going on an adventure! I’ll be there soon. Xoxo.’ – V

Re-reading the message and checking the photos once more, V grinned and sent the message. He slipped his phone into his pocket before looking at his luggage. “Better do a double check before I go pick Haneul up.”

“Hello?” Haneul answered her phone. “Babe, can you come open the door? I don’t want to ring the doorbell or your parents might wake up.” V said on the receiver. “I’ll be right there.” Haneul hung up.

V slipped his phone into his jean pocket, waiting for Haneul to open the door for him. After waiting for a minute, the gate to the house opened revealing Haneul.

V smiled seeing Haneul all dressed up. “You look beautiful.” Haneul’s cheeks turned pink as she stepped aside for V to come in. “Thanks.” V chuckled and wrapped an arm around her waist as they made their way to the house. They stepped into the house and went straight to Haneul’s room.

Haneul walked over to her bed, where her backpack was. “I hope this is okay.” She looked up at her boyfriend, biting her bottom lip. V smiled and nodded, “That’s all I brought too.” He turned around and showed her his backpack that he was wearing.

Haneul giggled and wore her backpack. “Are you going to wear a light sweater? It’s kind of chilly right now.” V said. Haneul tapped her chin in thought then went to her closet. She searching through her closet and when she found a light sweater, she pulled it out.

She turned around to see V doing a heart with his arms.

Haneul blinked at him, “Uh, V, what are you doing?” V chuckled, “Happy White Day.” Haneul giggled and walked towards him, putting his arms down, “Happy White Day to you too.” V leaned in and gave her a chaste kiss.

“Here, why don’t I help you put on your sweater.” He took off Haneul’s backpack and helped her slide into her sweater. He zipped it up for her and helped her wear her backpack again.

“Ready to go now?” V held out his hand. Haneul nodded and slipped her hand into his. V laced their fingers together as the two of them made their way out of Haneul’s room. They went to the front door, stepped into their shoes, and left the house.

“What are we doing here?” Haneul asked looking around the train station. “To go to your surprise, babo.” V answered. “I’m not a babo.” Haneul pouted. V chuckled and tweaked her nose, “Stop being so cute.”

Haneul pinked and looked away. V laughed through his nose and pecked her cheek. Haneul snapped her head towards him with wide eyes. She looked around, scanning the train station.

“No one saw. There’s barely anyone here.” V mused. Haneul made a face, sticking out her tongue at V.

Then a train pulled into the station and an announcement was made.

“There’s our train.” V grinned. Haneul pinched her eyebrows together, “Our train? We’re going to Busan?” V winked, “You’ll know soon. Now come on, we need to get on.”
