Helping Hand
First Love
“You’re friends are nice and funny.” Haneul giggled remembering how chirpy Jungkook was. V raised an eyebrow, “Are you saying they’re nicer and funnier than me?” “They could be. You can’t judge a book by its cover.”
V chuckled in amusement. He definitely fell in love with the right girl.
“Uh, V, our class is right here.” Haneul pointed out. V stopped and looked over his shoulder to see the sign above the door that read: 3C. He chuckled awkwardly and rubbed his neck, “Right. I didn’t see that.”
Haneul giggled and went into the classroom. V face-palmed himself before following after her. When he stepped into the room, he saw that Haneul was sitting in front row like a good student should. He chuckled and went to stand in front of her.
Haneul blinked up at him puzzled. “Uh, V, what are you doing?” V smiled and bent down to be eye level with her. “I can tell that you’re a goody-two-shoes, huh?”
If that offended Haneul, she didn’t show it. Instead, she leaned back and crossed her arms over her chest, “Do you have problem that?”
V’s eyes twinkled in amusement. His girl had an attitude. Rawr.
“No, it’s just I rather have you sit beside me in the back.” V grabbed Haneul’s wrist and dragged her to the back of the room. “Yah.” Haneul frowned being pushed onto the chair.
“Wait right there.” V held up a finger and ran back to the front of the room. He grabbed Haneul’s backpack and went back to where Haneul was. V sat down and placed Haneul’s backpack on the table. “Here you go.”
Haneul gave him a skeptical look, “Are you being friendly to me because I’m the new girl? You’re a player, aren’t you?” V stared at her for a moment before chuckling. He slipped off his backpack and set it on the ground next to his chair.
“No, I’m far from a player.” He truthfully answered, though he ignored the first question because it was true, kind of. She was new and his first love, so he wanted to do everything that would make her fall for him too.
Students started to fill the classroom. The school was no longer quiet anymore; there was chattering, steps heard, and chairs screeching across the floor.
V inwardly groaned because he couldn’t spend anymore alone time with Haneul, but hey, she was his desk buddy so that made up for it.
As students started to pile in, they saw Haneul sit next to V. They were shock. Someone was sitting next to V…and it was a girl too!
Murmurs and whispers were among the students in the classroom.
V knew of the students talking about him and Haneul. He didn’t like it one bit.
Then V felt someone touch his arm. “V, are you okay?” Haneul asked. V looked at her and he immediately softened. “If you think that I’m affect by other people’s words then don’t worry about it. I got it when I was back at my old school so I’m used to it.”
V felt his heart squeeze hearing that. His hand curled up into a fist. *Those people dare talk bad about my Haneul. They’ll pay for sure.*
Haneul nudged V snapping him out of his thoughts. “Huh?” He blinked turning to Haneul. “Class is about to start and relax. You’re all tense.” Haneul said. V softened and gave her a small smile.
Then the homeroom teacher come in. “Alright, settle down students. We have a new student from Haknam Academy. Haneul haksaeng, please introduce yourself.”
