Changmin walked down the hall towards the emergency room. V and L were still pacing back and forth. Four hours had already passed and it was a quarter past midnight. Everyone else was sleeping but the two of them.

Changmin walked up to them and cleared his throat. The two boys stopped pacing and snapped their heads towards him. They immediately rushed towards him making him take a step back.

“Whoa. You guys are really close.” Changmin blinked. “Sorry.” The two boys apologized and took a step back. “Hyung, what happened to BAP and LC9?” V asked. Changmin broke out into a smile, “You guys won’t need to worry about them anymore.” V and L turned to grin at each other before turning back to Changmin.

“I think you two need some sleep. You guys look like crap.” Changmin commented. V and L shook their heads, “I can’t.” Changmin looked at the two boys, “Okay, so explain to me how you guys are related to the injured person.”

“I’m her cousin.”

“I’m her boyfriend.”

Changmin blinked at the two boys, “Alright. You guys are just answering at the same time so I’ll take a guess.” Changmin pointed to L, “You’re her boyfriend while V is her cousin, am I right?” V and L exchanged a look before shaking their heads.

“No, I’m Haneul’s cousin while V’s her boyfriend.” L corrected. “Aw, I thought I had it correct. I never knew V was man enough to ask a girl out.” Changmin chuckled. L snickered while V’s ears turned red in embarrassment.

Before V could say anything, the lights above the emergency room went off and the doctor stepped out of the double doors.

“Is Miss Kim’s family here?” The doctor asked. L and V ran up to her. “I’m her cousin. How is she?” L asked. The doctor smiled, “Miss Kim has passed the dangerous stage. Though she lost a lot of blood, we found her some new blood and hopefully her body won’t reject it.”

Both V and L sighed in relief hearing that Haneul wasn’t in danger anymore. “However,” The doctor continued. “Miss Kim would need to stay in the hospital for three to four week so that we could keep track of her blood and wound.” L and V nodded in understanding.

“Can we…see her now?” V asked. The doctor nodded, “You may but make sure to keep quiet. She’ll still be unconscious so let her rest.” The two boys nodded then bowed, “Thank you doctor.” The doctor smiled, “I hope the patient gets a fast recovery.” She bowed and left.

V and L looked at each other grinning. They were happy that Haneul was safe. They were about to leave when Changmin called out, “Hey!” The two of them stopped and turned around. “Did you need something, Changmin hyung?” V asked. Changmin shook his head but pointed to the sleeping Infinite, BTS, and Minzy. “I think you guys are forgetting people.”

The two boys looked at each other and chuckled. They quickly jogged towards their friends and shook them away. When they were finally awake (after much difficulties), they all headed to Haneul’s room.

V and L were the first ones to enter the room. They couldn’t stop their breaths from being caught up in their throats.

A flashback of Haneul being hooked up to IVs flashed in L’s head. He didn’t like the sight.
