Chapter 23

 

 

“Young master”

 

Sungmin’s nanny starts shaking Kyuhyun who is still sitting outside Sungmin’s room. He was sleeping peacefully.

 

“Young master”

 

Sungmin’s nanny keeps on waking Kyuhyun who looks cold because of the weather. Sungmin’s nanny feel sorry for her young master because he really waited for his wife to go out from her room and talk to him, but Sungmin didn’t do that. She holds her pride on top and didn’t go out from her room to talk to her husband and she really thinks that Kyuhyun will never wait for her to go out from her room because Kyuhyun is the type of person who gets irritated easily and don’t have a lot of patience when it comes to waiting.

 

“Young master”

 

Sungmin’s nanny stares at Kyuhyun sadly. He doesn’t have any pillow at all. He just rests his head and his back on the wall and he doesn’t have any blanket too. He just use his black suit to cover his upper body and protect him from cold.

 

“Young master, please wake up now”

 

Kyuhyun slowly opens his eyes and found his wife’s nanny staring at him worriedly.

 

“What time is it?”

 

Kyuhyun asks. He stares on his watch upon remembering that he’s still wearing it; it’s already six in the morning.

 

“Where is Min?”

 

Kyuhyun asks.

 

“I’m going to wake young lady now. Breakfast is ready young master. You can go down now and eat. Young lady Jessica is already at the dining room”

 

Sungmin’s nanny informs Kyuhyun.

 

“Please tell my wife to go down and join us in breakfast”

 

“Yes young master”

 

Kyuhyun rubs his nape because it’s a bit aching since he doesn’t have any pillow at all. He slowly stands up and stretches his arms and rubs his back before going inside his room. He went inside the bathroom to fix his self and wash his face. He removes his neck tie and rolls the sleeve of his pink dress shirt up to his elbows. He went inside the walk-in closet to prepare his clothes before he goes downstairs and joins his cousin in breakfast.

 

“Good morning. You just arrive from work?”

 

Jessica asks as she stares at Kyuhyun who looks tired and really sleepy. Kyuhyun shook his head and sit down.

 

“I sleep outside Min’s room”

 

Kyuhyun told his cousin before eating. Jessica stares at him.

 

“Huh?”

 

Jessica asks with confusion in her voice. Kyuhyun just shook his head. He pours a cold fresh orange juice in his glass.

 

“What time did you arrive?”

 

Kyuhyun asks before taking a sip on his orange juice. Jessica looks sleepy as well.

 

“I just arrive awhile ago. I just change my clothes and go down to eat breakfast. I will return in my office later at two in the afternoon. I have a lot of thing to do before the holidays. By the way, Fany and Siwon Oppa will have Christmas with us”

 

Jessica happily informs Kyuhyun.

 

“I thought they are going to spend it in California, just like what they did last year”

 

“Well…they decided to join us this year. Isn’t it lovely?”

 

Jessica told Kyuhyun while smiling at him, but deep inside she’s really in pain. The reason why Tiffany and Siwon decided to spend Christmas with them because Mrs. Cho just inform them last week that it might be the last Christmas of Mr. Cho because his leukemia already affects his entire body and Mr. Cho might be leaving soon. She told them not to tell the sad news to Sungmin and Kyuhyun because that’s what Mr. Cho wants. He doesn’t want Sungmin and Kyuhyun to be sad. He just wants them to remain innocent.

 

“When are we going to leave?”

 

Jessica asks. Kyuhyun shook his head.

 

“Min still has school”

 

Kyuhyun told Jessica who shook her head.

 

“Min’s school for this year will end today. There will be a recognition day tomorrow. You need to attend because Min will be awarded as the no.1 student of her class. Your wife is really smart. Her grades are really high. She only gets one A and the rest is all A+”

 

Jessica happily told Kyuhyun, feeling so proud of her cousin in law. Kyuhyun just stares at his cousin because he doesn’t know anything about it since he’s too busy with his work and he leaves his wife for a long time, that’s he’s not updated about Sungmin’s performance in school.

 

“You don’t know?”

 

Jessica asks as she stares at her cousin’s blank expression.

 

“Min didn’t tell you to log in to her University’s website to view her grades? Actually, her University sends a copy of her grades here at home. Two copies. One is written in Braille and the other one is a print out. We view it together in the internet and she shows me the copies of her grades. I’m really proud of my cousin in law. She’s blind, but she still manage to be on top of the class”

 

Jessica told her cousin.

 

“You really don’t know? Min didn’t tell you anything?”

 

Jessica asks. Kyuhyun nods at her.

 

“OMO!”

 

Jessica holds her lips.

 

“Maybe Min wants to surprise you. Just pretend that you know nothing. I’m really sorry to tell it to you Kyu. I really thought that you already know. How about the Christmas Party of their department at Shilla Hotel? Did she tell it to you already? The Univeristy sends her invitation here last week”

 

Kyuhyun shook his head.

 

“She’s not telling me anything”

 

“It’s also tomorrow Kyu. Seven in the evening. We can go with them. But I can’t come tomorrow since I need to finish a lot of things before we go in Sydney. Maybe you can accompany her. She will be happy for sure if you will go with her at the party”

 

Jessica smiles at Kyuhyun. Sungmin’s nanny arrives inside the dining room.

 

“Young master, young lady told me that she doesn’t want to eat breakfast with you”

 

Sungmin’s nanny informs Kyuhyun who sighs sadly.

 

“Just bring her breakfast inside her room. Make sure that she will eat. Don’t forget to give her strawberry milk”

 

“Yes young master”

 

Sungmin’s nanny bows at Kyuhyun and Jessica to excuse herself. She went out to go at the kitchen and prepares Sungmin’s breakfast. Jessica stares at Kyuhyun curiously.

“We actually fought yesterday”

 

Kyuhyun told Jessica to answer her questioning glare.

 

“Why?”

 

Jessica asks.

 

“Well…”

 

Kyuhyun sighs sadly.

 

“I forgot that I’m the one who will fetch her yesterday. I forgot that I call you yesterday to tell her that I’m already back in Seoul and will fetch her in school. I saw her with her teacher Jongwoon outside the house. They are hugging each other. I got jealous. I drag her inside the house and we fought. I end up slapping her”

 

“WHAT?”

 

Jessica shouts with eyes open.

 

“What the ing hell is that Kyu? Why did you hurt her?”

 

Jessica asks angrily.

 

“You’re wife is too innocent, don’t you know that? It’s just because you saw them hugging each other, it doesn’t mean that Min is already cheating on you! How can you hurt an innocent girl huh?”

 

“I know…I made a mistake and that’s why she’s mad at me. I broke my promise to her that I’m not going to hurt her again and I didn’t fulfill my promise to her before I left for my work. I told her that I will call her all the time and I promise it to her, but then…”

 

Kyuhyun sighs sadly.

 

“I fail. I’m jealous of her teacher that’s why I hurt her. She told me that her teacher was the one who drops her here since I didn’t arrive yesterday to fetch her”

 

“You’re such a jerk. Min is really sad for sure”

 

“I’m actually feeling scared…scared that my wife will be afraid of me again just like before”

 

Kyuhyun shook his head sadly.

 

“I don’t want that to happen again Jess. I don’t want Min to get scared of me again. It will break my heart if that thing will happen again. I’m not going to forgive myself if that happens”

 

Kyuhyun told Jessica, controlling his tears from falling. Jessica can feel her cousin’s sadness and she knows that Kyuhyun is really sorry for what he did to his wife yesterday.

 

“I have a lot of things to think on my work. I need to solve a very serious problem. I don’t want to disappoint dad and now, I also need to deal with the cold treatment that Min is giving me. I’m not complaining. I deserve it. It’s just that…I just don’t know how I will solve everything. If I focus on my work, how about Min? If I focus on Min then how about my work?”

 

Kyuhyun explains sadly.

 

“You just need to learn how to adjust and how to manage your time”

 

Jessica told her cousin, hoping that it can help him.

 

“Aish! Seriously Jess…it’s hard”

 

Kyuhyun takes a deep breath. He drinks his cold fresh orange juice and wipes his lips with his table napkin before putting it on top of the table. Kyuhyun stands up.

 

“Where are you going? You’re not yet done eating. You just ate a little”

 

Jessica told Kyuhyun who shook his head.

 

“I don’t have appetite. My wife’s cold treatment towards me is really bothering me. I’ll take a bath now. I’m still going to drop her to school before I go to work. See you later and please tell Hyung and Fany that we’re leaving on Friday at eight in the evening”

 

Kyuhyun informs Jessica who nods her head. Kyuhyun salutes at her before leaving the dining room.

 

“Oh well! They are having an LQ again”

 

Jessica whispers. She suddenly yawns.

 

“I’m really feeling sleepy. I think, I also need to go upstairs and take a one hour sleep before I continue doing my paper works and reports. I still need to go in the office at two in the afternoon”

 

Jessica sighs.

 

“Honestly, I’m really tired. It’s really stressful when holidays is coming”

 

Jessica told herself. She drinks her cold fresh orange juice and wipes her lips with her table napkin. She puts the table napkin on top of the table and takes a deep breath.

 

“I’m going to call Fany later to inform her about our flight on Friday”

 

Jessica suddenly feels sad.

 

“I really hope uncle is just fine. I’m really sad for Kyu and Min. They are too innocent and it’s really sad if uncle will all leave us soon. I just hope he can still recover…but it’s really impossible, but still…I’m still hoping for a miracle. I’m sure that Kyu will be very sad if uncle will say goodbye soon. I mean…they are just enjoying each other as father and son again after long years of hating each other because Kyu becomes a rebellious son…it’s really sad that uncle needs to go soon”

 

Jessica told herself. She wipes the tears that fall at the corner of her eyes.

 

“I must not cry or else Kyu will surely get suspicious. It’s just really sad”

 

Jessica whispers. She takes a deep breath to calm herself and to avoid crying. Jessica stands up and leaves the dining room sadly while thinking about Mr. Cho.

Kyuhyun went out from his walk-in closet wearing corporate attire. He looks so handsome, but tired and it’s obvious that he’s problematic. He just can’t stop thinking about the company and about his wife. Sungmin still doesn’t want to talk to him. No matter how hard he tries, his wife keeps on pushing him away. He tries to talk to Sungmin before he takes a bath, but Sungmin didn’t open the door of her room to let him in. She also didn’t go out to talk to him. Sungmin keeps her cold treatment towards him and Kyuhyun is already having a hard time. He’s becoming paranoid. He keeps on asking his self every minute, what if his wife is already scared of him, that’s why Sungmin doesn’t want to go out from her room and talk to him? Kyuhyun doesn’t want that to happen. He doesn’t want Sungmin to get scared of him again, just like before. It’s ok with him if his wife will hate him as much as she wants rather than getting scared of him again.

 

“Damn you Cho Kyuhyun! You supposed to listen before you act! Why are you such a jealous brat huh?”

 

Kyuhyun told his self, reprimanding his self. Kyuhyun gets his mobile phone when he heard it ringing. He stares at the caller’s name; it was Onew. Kyuhyun sighs and answers the call.

 

“Yes Onew?”

 

“Sir…”

 

Onew takes a deep breath before continuing.

 

“Remember Mr. Foster?”

 

Onew asks. Kyuhyun nods his head.

 

“Mr. Ahn’s Vice-President. What about him?”

 

Kyuhyun asks curiously, hoping to hear good news from his secretary. Onew smiles while staring at Nicole who is already booking a flight for Kyuhyun.

 

“Mr. Ahn’s secretary calls here awhile ago. She just informs me that Mr. Foster is currently in Jeju Island and he wants to see you and talk about the extension of Cho International Group of Companies in New York”

 

Onew happily told Kyuhyun, making him smile.

 

“I think he is interested for a partnership. Nicole was already booking a flight for you”

 

“You need to come with me”

 

“Arasso. Just hold on a minute Sir. I’ll just talk to Nicole”

 

Onew told Kyuhyun who nods his head.

 

“Finally! If I can get this deal then there won’t be anymore problem. I hope I can do it…please”

 

Kyuhyun whispers.

 

“Sir, are you still there?”

 

“Yes”

 

Onew flashes a bright smile while staring at the computer screen.

 

“Our flight will be at five in the afternoon. Is that ok?”

 

Onew asks. Kyuhyun nods.

 

“Yes. I still need to finish three meetings today and some paper works and I need to review a lot of reports and business proposal before we fly in Jeju Island today”

 

Kyuhyun told his secretary who nods his head.

 

“Your meeting with Mr. Foster will be at Hyatt Regency Jeju at seven in the evening”

 

Onew informs his boss.

 

“No problem. Can I speak with Nicole please?”

 

“Wait a second Sir”

 

Onew gives his mobile phone to Nicole.

 

“Yes Sir? What can I do for you?”

 

Nicole asks happily.

 

“Can you please call Ms. Song? Tell her that my wife needs a dress for her recognition day tomorrow and a night dress or cocktail dress for her Christmas Party tomorrow at Shilla Hotel. Tell her to choose clothes that are not too revealing ok. Tell her that you’re the one who will get it later. I’ll leave give you a blank cheque later when I arrive there and please ask Fleur to make a beautiful bouquet of pink peonies and pink lilies for my wife. Tell them to send it at Korea University, Journalism Department. Send it at their Student Council’s Office”

 

Kyuhyun told Nicole who nods her head.

 

“Copy Sir. Anything else?”

 

Nicole asks. Kyuhyun thinks for the meantime.

 

“Can I ask something?”

 

Kyuhyun asks curiously. Nicole nods her head happily.

 

“Of course Sir. What is it?”

 

“Ah…”

 

Kyuhyun clears his throat before continuing.

 

“Actually, Min is mad at me. We fought yesterday. I just want to know how to lure her because she’s giving me a cold treatment. Giving her bouquet is the only thing that I can think. Any suggestion or opinion?”

 

Kyuhyun asks his secretary. Nicole thinks for the meantime.

 

“Why not invite her in a romantic dinner or maybe you cook dinner for her and then talk about the problem while eating together or maybe go to a park after dinner and then talk about it. Maybe you can bring Ms. Cho at Han River Park and dance with her while the moon and stars are shining so bright and tell her how much you love her and don’t forget to say sorry”

 

Nicole suggested.

 

“She doesn’t want to talk to me. She keeps on avoiding me”

 

“Then don’t give up. Just keep on going no matter how hard she pushes you away from her. Keep trying and I’m sure that Ms. Cho will surely give up and talk to you. Judging by her innocent look and innocent attitude, I think your wife is not the type of girl who holds grudge or anger for a long time. Maybe she just need some time and she will definitely talk to you when she’s ready. Just keep on trying. You can do it Sir”

 

“Ok. Thanks”

 

Nicole smiles brightly.

 

“No problem Sir. Anything else?”

 

Kyuhyun shook his head.

 

“That’s all. Thanks Nicole and of course to Onew. I’ll see you guys later”

 

Kyuhyun told Nicole before hanging up. Kyuhyun sighs and stares at their wedding picture that was hanging on the wall above their bed.

 

“Baby, please talk to me now. Don’t treat me like this. I’m really worried. Stop giving me cold treatment, arasso?”

 

Kyuhyun told their wedding picture. He sighs sadly and wears his backpack. He puts his mobile phone inside his pocket and wears his wrist watch. Kyuhyun gets his car key on top of the bedside table and leaves his room. He saw his wife’s nanny go out from Sungmin’s room while holding the laundry basket.

 

“Is my wife ready for school?”

 

Kyuhyun asks as he walks towards his wife’s nanny. He stops walking when he finally reaches her.

 

“Young master, young lady already left awhile ago”

 

Sungmin’s nanny informs Kyuhyun.

 

“What? I told you to tell her that I’ll drop her to school today. Did you tell it to her?”

 

Kyuhyun asks, feeling sad because he fails to talk to his wife again and lure her. Sungmin’s nanny nods at him.

 

“I told it to young lady, but she told me that driver ahjusshi will be the one who will drop her to school today. She doesn’t want you to drop her to her school. I think young lady is still mad at you young master”

 

Sungmin’s nanny informs Kyuhyun sadly.

 

“Arasso. I’ll just go to work now”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife’s nanny. He sighs sadly and drops his head as he go down the stairs, feeling sad because Sungmin is really treating him so cold and he’s just not used to it, but Kyuhyun knows that it’s the consequence of his action. It’s his punishment for hurting his wife yesterday and he knows that he needs to suffer from it.

Jongwoon knocks softly at the Speech Laboratory 2 after going at the Student Council’s Office to say goodbye to the officers and give them some advice on leading and assisting their co-students for the last time. He has a happy and sad chat with them and he hugs them all and told them to smile all the time before he leaves the office. The Professor of Speech 101A class opens the door and smiles at Jongwoon. He closes the door before speaking to Jongwoon outside the Speech Laboratory 2.

 

“Hi Professor Kim. I thought you already left?”

 

He asks Jongwoon who smiles at him.

 

“I just say goodbye to the officers of the Student Council and told them that their new adviser for next year will be Mr. Ok Taecyeon. He’s a newly hired Professor for Public Speaking 3. He will start his first day next year when the classes already resume after the holidays”

 

Jongwoon explains.

 

“Professor Yang, sorry to disturb you class. Can I ask for a small favor?”

 

Jongwoon asks. Mr. Yang nods at him.

 

“It’s ok Professor Kim. I’m just giving them their new modules for next year. We’re not really doing anything. I’m just explaining some activities that we might perform when they return in school next year. I might dismiss the class early”

 

“I see. Is it ok if I excuse Ms. Cho Sungmin and Mr. Lee Seung-hyun for the meantime? I just want to say goodbye to them. You see. They become my students when they are in Senior High”

 

“I see. Ok. Just wait here outside. I’ll call them and told them that you want to see them before you leave”

 

“Thanks Professor Yang”

 

“No problem Professor Kim”

 

Mr. Yang smiles at Jongwoon. He pats Jongwoon’s shoulder before going inside the speech laboratory to call Sungmin and Seungri. After five minutes of waiting outside, Seungri came out with Sungmin. He was holding Sungmin’s hand as he guides her way.

 

“Teacher Jongwoon”

 

Seungri calls Jongwoon as he and Sungmin walk towards him. Jongwoon smiles at them.

 

“I just want to see both of you for the last time. I want to say goodbye to both of you”

 

Jongwoon told his students sadly. He stares at them and notices their sad faces. Sungmin’s eyes starts getting teary because of sadness.

 

“Do you really…need to…to…go…teacher…Jongwoon?”

 

Sungmin asks. Her voice trembles as she controls her tears from falling. Jongwoon nods sadly at them.

 

“Yes Minnir. But don’t worry because I will try to visit Seoul whenever I have a free time”

 

Jongwoon told them, trying to make them smile, but he fails. He takes a deep breath. Tears start forming in his eyes because of sadness. He really doesn’t want to say goodbye, but he really needs to go back in Canada because his work needs him. Jongwoon stares at Seungri who is still holding Sungmin’s hand as if she’s his girlfriend. Sungmin didn’t even realize how Seungri holds her hand because she’s too busy being lonely because Jongwoon, her favorite teacher is already going back in Canada and she won’t be able to see him again when she returns in school after the holidays.

 

“You need to take care of Minnie. Watch over her and always defend her to the people who want to hurt her. Always be a good friend to her”

 

Jongwoon told Seungri, emphasizing the word ‘friend’. Seungri seems to understand what Jongwoon is trying to tell him, that’s why he let go of Sungmin’s hand.

 

“I hope when we meet again, you already found the right girl for you”

 

Jongwoon told Seungri who nods sadly. He still can’t get over of Sungmin. Seungri is still hoping that Sungmin will be his and he knows that it’s wrong to hope that Sungmin and Kyuhyun will have a divorce someday, but Seungri is really hoping for that thing to happen, so he can already have Sungmin. But still, Seungri knows that it’s very impossible because he can see how much Sungmin and Kyuhyun love each other. He already witnesses it when they visit the Cho Mansion to have a practice for the pageant and he witness it again during the pageant itself. He witness how Kyuhyun risk his image and shout as loud as he can, like a crazy fanboy without caring about the people’s glare and what the people will tell as long as it will cheer Sungmin up, Kyuhyun is willing to do everything for her even the most embarrassing thing. Seungri also witness how Sungmin smiles and laugh whenever Kyuhyun is with him and how Sungmin becomes confident whenever her husband is cheering her up.

 

“I know that you can find the right girl for you. You just need to wait. She will definitely arrive”

 

Jongwoon told Seungri who nods at him.

 

“Have a safe flight Teacher Jongwoon. We will miss you. Don’t forget to invite us in your wedding”

 

Seungri teases Jongwoon who laughs softly.

 

“Hopefully, I can already found the right girl”

 

Jongwoon told Seungri before looking at Sungmin who is already crying.

 

“Minnie…”

 

Jongwoon wipes Sungmin’s tears away. Sungmin hugs him tight. Jongwoon hugs her back.

 

“I told you to smile always”

 

“I’m sorry. I don’t want you to see me crying again”

 

Sungmin shook her head.

 

“But I’m not good on holding back my tears. I’m just sad because you’re going now. I won’t be able to see you again when I return after the holidays”

 

Sungmin told Jongwoon sadly. Jongwoon cups her beautiful face and holds it between his hands. He wipes the tears that keep on falling from Sungmin’s eyes.

 

“I hope when we meet each other again, you will finally able to see me. I’ll be happy to see you like that. Always smile and be happy. Your husband is there for you. He will never leave you and he will always love you more each day. He loves you so much and I can see it and feel it. You take care and don’t be sad or else I’ll be sad as well”

 

Jongwoon told Sungmin as he manages to smile in spite of the sadness that he’s feeling on that moment. He let go of Sungmin’s beautiful face.

 

“Both of you need to return inside the speech lab now. I will see you again when I visit Seoul. I’m going to miss both of you. Don’t forget to study hard and always help each other. Enjoy studying and hoping that we will see each other in Journalism Industry. I know that both of you will be a great Journalist in the future. Good luck in school and in your recognition day tomorrow. I really want to attend and see both of you receiving your medals, but then…I really need to leave today”

 

Jongwoon smiles at them.

 

“So, I’m going now. Have wonderful holidays with your families and enjoy the Christmas Party tomorrow. See you soon”

 

Jongwoon hugs them for the last time.

 

“Go back inside now”

 

“Take care Teacher Jongwoon and have a safe flight”

 

“I will”

 

Jongwoon smiles and gently pats Sungmin’s cheek. He smiles at Seungri and happily ruffles his hair. Seungri holds Sungmin’s hand and wraps it around his arm as they return inside the speech laboratory. Jongwoon watches them as they finally enter the speech laboratory. He wipes the tears that fall from his eyes.

 

“I will miss everything”

 

Jongwoon whispers sadly. He wears his sunglasses and starts walking away.

*STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICE*

 

 

Seungri drops Sungmin at the Student Council’s Office after their class. He goes home right away after dropping Sungmin at the Student Council’s Office. He needs to prepare the things that he will need for tomorrow Christmas Party and Recognition Day and he still needs to help his mother in their small restaurant. Sungmin was happily sitting inside the office with Heechul and Zhoumi.

 

“Where are the others?”

 

Sungmin asks them.

 

“Wookie, Hyukkie and Hae are at the Shilla Hotel. They are checking if everything is ready for our Department’s Christmas Party tomorrow. Kang Bear went home early because he told us that he needs to have last minute shopping for the party tomorrow. Mimi and I just finish preparing our Auditorium for tomorrow’s Recognition Day”

 

Heechul happily informs Sungmin.

 

“Congratulation to you and Seungri. You’re the top one student in your class while Seungri is the top three. You guys are really smart. Professor Kim is really proud and of we’re also proud of you guys”

 

Heechul added.

 

“Are you going to attend the party tomorrow? You must be there, so our circle of friends will be complete. All of us will attend”

 

Zhoumi told Sungmin.

 

“I still don’t know. I’m not yet talking about it with my husband”

 

“Why not? I’m sure that he will allow you to join just like when you attend the Freshmen’s Party”

 

Zhoumi told Sungmin. Heechul nods in agreement.

 

“I’m still going to ask first. I’ll just inform you tomorrow at the Recognition Day. Are you guys going to attend?”

 

Sungmin asks them. Heechul and Zhoumi nod happily.

 

“Yes sweetheart. We’re also part of the Recognition Day tomorrow. We’re also an honor students just like you and Seungri”

 

Heechul proudly told Sungmin who smiles brightly.

 

“Then it will be fun because all of us will be there”

 

Sungmin told them happily.

 

“Who will be with you at the Recognition Day tomorrow?”

 

Zhoumi asks. Sungmin shook her head sadly.

 

“I still don’t know. Kyu is really busy as well as Jessica Unnie. It will be embarrassing to disturb Fany Unnie and Siwon Oppa. Mom and dad are already in Sydney for the holidays. Can I just come alone?”

 

Sungmin asks sadly. Heechul and Zhoumi stare at her blankly.

 

“Am I not allowed to go alone?”

 

Sungmin asks when she didn’t get an answer from them. Heechul and Zhoumi shook their heads.

 

“Of course you can attend alone, but it will be nice if your family will be there, especially your husband. It will be lonely if you will go alone”

 

Heechul explains. Zhoumi nods her head, agreeing to Heechul.

 

“I’ll try to bring my husband. I hope he can come tomorrow”

 

“Tell him that he needs to attend, so someone will put the medals on you. But if no one will really go with you tomorrow then can I’ll be the one who will put the medals on you. Is that ok sweetheart?”

 

Heechul asks. Sungmin nods happily as her answer.

 

“Ok. You don’t need to worry anymore because if your family can’t make it then we’re here to celebrate with you, right Mimi?”

 

Zhoumi nods her head while smiling at Sungmin.

 

“Yes Chullie. We’re always here for Minnie. Anyway, change topic…”

 

Zhoumi looks at the paper bags, gifts and bouquets of flowers that Seungri put at the corner earlier before he goes home.

 

“Are those yours?”

 

Zhoumi asks while pointing her fingers on the paper bags, gifts and bouquets of flowers at the corner. Sungmin nods as she understands what Zhoumi is talking about.

 

“They all came from my admirers”

 

Sungmin told them with a problematic voice.

 

“Oh! Really? So, they are still hoping to be your man huh?”

 

Heechul asks, teasing Sungmin who shook her head.

 

“I don’t know. Well, others are still insisting even though they know that I’m already married. They even told me to divorce Kyu”

 

Sungmin pouts and shook her head.

 

“I’m not stupid to do that. Why will I leave my husband? I love him so much and he loves me so much as well. I seriously don’t want to accept their gifts, but they keep on insisting and bothering me. Chullie Unnie, Mimi Unnie”

 

Heechul and Zhoumi stare at Sungmin.

 

“Yes sweetheart?”

 

Heechul asks as she stares at Sungmin’s problematic expression.

 

“Can I just leave all of them here?”

 

Sungmin asks them. Heechul and Zhoumi stare at her with questioning look because they are curious as to why Sungmin wants to leave all of those gifts for her inside the Student Council Office.

 

“Why? It’s all yours. You need to bring all of them at home”

 

Zhoumi told Sungmin who nods her head.

 

“Yes. But I don’t want those things. I mean, I don’t want to bring it with me. Kyu will see it and he’s really jealous to my admirers. I don’t want him to feel that way and I don’t want us to have a fight”

 

Sungmin explains to them. Heechul and Zhoumi nod their heads as they understand Sungmin’s situation. Who won’t be jealous if your wife has a lot of admirers in school? Who won’t be jealous if you have a wife like Sungmin? She’s a very beautiful girl, innocent, nice, sweet, with good heart, lovely and very wonderful girl. They understand Kyuhyun. Of course he can’t avoid to get jealous of those admirers and beside, being jealous over someone is normal for a man who is deeply in love with his girl.

 

“Minnie, I hope you don’t mind if I ask”

 

“Go ahead Chullie Unnie”

 

“Is your husband possessive?”

 

Heechul asks while giggling happily. She really likes seeing Sungmin and Kyuhyun together because for her, they are a perfect couple. Heechul thinks that Kyuhyun is really sweet with his wife and she can’t help but to envy her friend because she also want to have a husband who will treat her like a Princess, just like what Kyuhyun is doing to Sungmin.

 

“Why are you asking? Can you feel it?”

 

Sungmin asks.

 

“Feel what?”

 

Heechul asks curiously.

 

“That my husband is possessive”

 

Sungmin answers.

 

“Well…”

 

Heechul smiles brightly.

 

“Judging by his looks, I think he’s really deeply, madly and crazily in love with you. I mean, he does love you so much and men can be possessive if they love their girl that much. He looks possessive anyway”

 

Heechul told Sungmin.

 

“Especially when boys are around you. He always makes sure that you’re near him whenever guys are around. It’s just an observation that Chullie and I usually notice when he’s with you. But it looks cute you know. Men who are jealous are the sweetest thing ever because other men don’t get usually jealous”

 

Zhoumi added as she and Heechul start to giggle happily.

 

“Why? Do you hate him being possessive?”

 

Heechul asks curiously. Sungmin shook her head.

 

“I just hate it when he becomes jealous over nothing. He never gives me time to explain. He will get mad easily and will give me a cold treatment. It’s hard. He can be cute when he’s jealous and possessive, but not to the point that he will get mad at me for no reason”

 

Sungmin explains. Heechul and Zhoumi can sense that the couple just had a misunderstanding because of the way Sungmin speaks and because of the tone of her voice. She sounds a bit hurt and angry at the same time. They want to ask, but they just keep their mouth close because they don’t want Sungmin to think that they are meddling in her married life.

 

“You see. I’m not that familiar with men. I don’t know anything about having a boyfriend or being in a relationship because I never had a boyfriend before. I didn’t even experiencing having a date with a man or going in any date. Nobody gave me flowers before and nobody told me that I’m beautiful. Kyu is the first man who did those things to me and he always make sure that I’m going to feel special and beautiful. But there are times wherein, I don’t really understand him. He will give me promises that he can never keep and he can never do”

 

Sungmin starts to open up and share her feeling with her friends. Heechul and Zhoumi can feel her sadness and pain through her voice and Sungmin looks really sad. Her innocent doe eyes are starting to get teary because of sadness. She really doesn’t want to get mad at Kyuhyun, but she’s hurt because of what Kyuhyun did to her yesterday. Kyuhyun didn’t even give her a chance to explain before slapping her. Sungmin never get tired of understanding her husband because she knows that Kyuhyun really loves her so much. The only thing that she can’t understand is why Kyuhyun needs to slap her when they can talk about their problem properly and why does he needs to promise something that he can never really do. The word ‘promise’ is very important to Sungmin because she’s the type of girl who believes on promises; when you promise something, you have to fulfill it no matter what happen.

 

“I don’t know if I’m just being a demanding wife. I know that he’s a very busy man. Being a CEO and President of big companies is never easy. I do understand him. All I’m just asking is for a little time because he usually ignores me because of his work. There are times wherein he fails to give me his time because of being too busy with his work. Maybe he’s already forgetting that he has a wife”

 

Sungmin told them sadly.

 

“You know sweetheart?”

 

Heechul holds Sungmin’s hand.

 

“I have a very bright idea for you. If you want your husband to have time with you and won’t ignore you too often then you have to give him a child soon”

 

Heechul suggested. Sungmin suddenly blush while Zhoumi stares at Heechul who is flashing a ert smile.

 

“Chullie, what kind of advice is that huh? I really think that you’re being a ert here”

 

Zhoumi told Heechul as she can feel Sungmin’s shyness because she suddenly turns bright red.

 

“What? I’m just giving my opinion Mimi. You see. Husbands tend to ignore their wives because of their work. If Minnie wants her husband’s attention then why not give him a child soon? There’s nothing wrong if Minnie will get pregnant. She and Mr. Cho are already married, so it’s legal for them to have a baby”

 

Heechul explains. She smiles brightly.

 

“Ha! I’m sure that Mr. Cho will always try to find some time to his wife and will try his very best to focus his attention to Minnie because she’s already pregnant. He needs to take care of Minnie because the husband should take care of his pregnant wife. That’s always the rule whenever the girl will conceive a child”

 

Heechul told Zhoumi, explaining her side very clearly, so Sungmin can understand what she’s trying to say.

 

“But that’s the problem Chullie. How can they make a baby if Mr. Cho is always busy?”

 

Zhoumi asks. Heechul nods. She holds her lips and starts thinking for the meantime.

 

“AHA!”

 

Heechul shouts happily as she snaps her fingers.

 

“I know. Maybe Minnie can seduce her husband later. What do you think sweetheart?”

 

Heechul asks as she and Zhoumi stares at Sungmin whose beautiful face is already super red like a tomato because of embarrassment.

 

“Why are we talking about that thing? It’s really embarrassing”

 

Sungmin told them shyly.

 

“EMBARRASSING?”

 

Heechul and Zhoumi shout in unison as their eyes grow big

 

“DON’T TELL ME THAT YOU’RE STILL A ?”

 

They shout in unison again. Sungmin didn’t answer. Heechul and Zhoumi stare at her curiously.

 

“You’re not yet making love with your husband?”

 

Heechul asks. Sungmin calm herself before speaking.

 

“I…well…I already did…we did it before….but…just once”

 

Sungmin told them shyly.

 

“Seriously?”

 

Heechul asks, still can’t believe that Sungmin and Kyuhyun just did it once. Sungmin nods her head as an answer.

 

“And you didn’t get pregnant?”

 

Zhoumi asks. Sungmin nods her head again to answer Zhoumi’s question.

 

“Don’t worry. You just need to try again”

 

Zhoumi told Sungmin who keeps on blushing because she was so shy to talk about her life with her husband to her friends.

 

“But I thought you just had a honeymoon in Costa Rica?”

 

Heechul asks curiously.

 

“It’s a family vacation Unnie. We supposed to have our honeymoon as well, but it didn’t happen because I had my period that time”

 

“Oh! I see. Then maybe you can seduce him tonight”

 

Heechul teases Sungmin.

 

“Unnie, can we just stop talking about it? It’s really embarrassing ok”

 

“That’s because you’re too innocent for that”

 

Heechul told Sungmin while smiling at her.

 

“So, what are we going to do with those gifts?”

 

Zhoumi asks Sungmin who shook her head.

 

“I don’t know. Maybe you can just give it to someone or you can just bring it home. Just give the chocolates to Bear Oppa or to Hae Oppa or Hyukkie Unnie. They love sweets. I really don’t want to accept those gifts and I don’t want to bring it home. I don’t want to have a fight with my husband just because of those gifts because Kyu can be a childish brat sometimes. He really doesn’t want it whenever my admirers are giving me gifts. I don’t want him to get mad at me. Seriously…”

 

Sungmin sighs.

 

“I really don’t understand why they are still courting me. They know that I’m already married. Such hard headed men”

 

Sungmin told her friends. Heechul and Zhoumi stare at the door when someone knocks softly.

 

“Good afternoon”

 

They stare at the delivery boy who is holding a very beautiful bouquet of pink peonies and pink lilies.

 

“Is Ms. Cho Sungmin here?”

 

The delivery boy asks them. Heechul and Zhoumi point at Sungmin who is sitting on the chair quietly. The delivery boy walks towards Sungmin.

 

“Ms. Cho Sungmin?”

 

Sungmin nods her head.

 

“Yes, it’s me. Why?”

 

Sungmin asks. The delivery boy carefully puts the bouquet on Sungmin’s lap.

 

“Mr. Cho Kyuhyun wants to give that bouquet to you and his secretary told me awhile ago to inform you that you will be having a dinner with Mr. Cho Kyuhyun later at ten in the evening at Il Ponte”

 

The delivery boy informs Sungmin who quickly puts the beautiful bouquet on top of Heechul’s desk.

 

“I don’t want that bouquet and please tell my husband that I’m not going to go with him later. I’m tired. I just want to stay home and take a rest”

 

Sungmin told the delivery boy with anger in her voice.

 

“But Ms. Cho…”

 

“I said, I don’t want that bouquet. Please return it to my husband and rely my message for him”

 

Sungmin told the delivery boy who just nods his head.

 

“Arasso”

 

He gets the bouquet of flowers on top of Heechul’s desk.

 

“I’ll leave now”

 

He bows at Sungmin, Heechul and Zhoumi before leaving the office quietly.

 

“Hey, why didn’t you accept it? It was so beautiful you know”

 

Zhoumi told Sungmin who shook her head.

 

“I still hate him. He can never get me with those flowers and dinner date”

 

Sungmin told Zhoumi.

 

“Oh! So, you’re playing hard to get huh?”

 

Zhoumi teases Sungmin who shook her head again.

 

“It’s not like that Mimi Unnie. I just want him to realize what he did yesterday. I want him to realize that I’m hurt because of what he did yesterday and for breaking his promises to me. I want him to know that even the nicest person in the world can also get mad sometimes. I still hate him and I don’t want to be a hypocrite. I just want to be honest on how I feel towards him”

 

Sungmin explains.

 

“But I really think that you’re making it too hard for your husband”

 

Zhoumi told Sungmin, making Heechul nods her head as she agrees on Zhoumi.

 

“Mimi is right sweetheart. Don’t be too harsh on Mr. Cho”

 

“I will talk to him, but not now”

 

Sungmin told them sadly. She just wants to teach her husband a lesson, so he will never take her for granted. Someone knocks again. This time, it’s the Cho family driver.

 

“Good afternoon”

 

Sungmin smiles upon recognizing the voice.

 

“Ahjusshi, are you fetching me now?”

 

Sungmin asks. The driver ahjusshi nods his head.

 

“Yes young lady. We’re going home now”

 

“Ok”

 

Heechul helps Sungmin to stand. Zhoumi gives Sungmin’s bag and things to the family driver. Sungmin unfolds her long cane. Heechul wraps Sungmin’s free hand around the family driver’s arm.

 

“See you tomorrow”

 

Heechul told Sungmin who nods her head happily.

 

“Take care”

 

Zhoumi told Sungmin who happily waves her hand before going out with the family driver. They carefully walk at the hallways as they reach the elevator. The family driver presses the down button as they wait patiently for the elevator.

 

“Ahjusshi…”

 

“Yes young lady?”

 

The family driver stares at Sungmin.

 

“Just drop my things at home. Kyu will be the one who will fetch me today. I’ll just wait for him at the lobby downstairs”

 

Sungmin lied. She just doesn’t want to go home because she hates her husband. She wants to go to her apartment and stay there. She wants to be away from Kyuhyun for the meantime.

 

“No problem young lady”

 

Sungmin flashes a smile.

 

“Thank you”

 

They went inside the elevator. The family driver presses the first floor button. The elevator door slowly closes. Sungmin can feel that they are already going down. The elevator stops as soon as they arrive at the first floor. The family driver leads Sungmin’s way. He helps her to sit on the couch.

 

“I’m going now young lady”

 

Sungmin nods. The family driver gives Sungmin’s handbag to her.

 

“Take care ahjusshi”

 

The family driver nods. He bows his head to Sungmin before walking away. Sungmin waits for thirty minutes before she stands up. She slowly walks at the hallway and went out of the building. Sungmin keeps on walking until she finally reach the University’s main gate. Sungmin asks the security guard to help her get a cab. The security guard obeys her. He leads Sungmin at the nearby taxi bay and gets a cab for her just to make sure that she will be safe. He closes the door before walking away.

 

“Where are we going?”

 

The driver of the taxi asks Sungmin.

 

“Please drop me at Rosewood Hill Cemetery in Itaewon”

 

Sungmin told the driver of the taxi.

 

“Ok”

 

The taxi driver told Sungmin and starts driving the taxi at Rosewood Hill Cemetery in Itaewon.

“Sir”

 

Nicole quickly stands up upon seeing Kyuhyun enters the room with Onew. Kyuhyun just arrive from a meeting in Incheon.

 

“Yes?”

 

Kyuhyun asks Nicole who looks problematic.

 

“Is there something wrong?”

 

Kyuhyun asks upon noticing Nicole’s problematic face.

 

“Well…”

 

Nicole sighs sadly.

 

“Ms. Cho returns the bouquet here. The delivery boy told me that your wife told him that she doesn’t want the bouquet and she will not go with you later. She doesn’t want to have a dinner with you. She just wants to stay at home and take a rest because she’s tired”

 

Nicole informs Kyuhyun sadly. Onew and Nicole suddenly notice Kyuhyun’s sad expression.

 

“I put the bouquet on top of your desk Sir”

 

Nicole tells her boss. Kyuhyun nods sadly and went inside his office to get his thing as he and Onew need to go at Gimpo Airport for their flight in Jeju Island.

 

“Ms. Cho hates our boss. The delivery boy told me”

 

Nicole whispers to Onew who wears his backpack.

 

“Did our boss already eat?”

 

Nicole asks. Onew shook his head.

 

“I feel worried about him. He’s not yet eating his lunch. He never takes a break and he really looks tired and really sleepy. Sir told me that he needs to work double time, so he can finish everything before the holidays. I think they will leave on Friday and Sir wants to attend his wife’s Recognition Day and Christmas Party tomorrow, that’s why he’s not taking a rest for him to finish all the things the he needs to finish. He really wants to make it up with his wife”

 

Onew informs Nicole with worried voice. He is really worried about Kyuhyun because their boss is working nonstop. He attended a lot of meetings and reviewing a lot of documents and he’s still thinking about the problem of the company and how he will find a solution on it. He has a lot of reports to deal and things to finish before the holidays. Kyuhyun is not yet even eating his lunch. After every meeting, he will go back to his office and work and then attend a meeting again and deal with some investors and clients.

 

“He even loses a weight because he never stop working since we’re in New York and he looks so stress because of the problems that he needs to deal”

 

Onew told Nicole who nods her head sadly, agreeing to Onew. Kyuhyun went out of his office and gives the beautiful bouquet to Nicole.

 

“It’s up to you where you’re going to put it. If you want to throw it then it’s ok”

 

Kyuhyun told Nicole sadly. He stares at Onew.

 

“Let’s go. We’re going to be late now”

 

“Yes Sir”

 

Onew waves his hand to Nicole as he leaves the room with Kyuhyun.

 

“I’ll just put it in a vase”

 

Nicole whispers while staring at the beautiful bouquet. She sighs sadly and went inside Kyuhyun’s office to get the vase inside.

It was already six thirty in the evening when Jessica arrives at the Cho Mansion.

 

“Good evening young lady”

 

The head maid happily greets Jessica who smiles at her.

 

“Good evening Ahjumma”

 

Jessica greets the head maid happily. She gives her things to one of the maids who went upstairs to put her things inside her room.

 

“Dinner will be ready after thirty minutes. I’ll just call you in your room later”

 

Jessica nods at the head maid.

 

“By the way, is Kyu already home?”

 

Jessica asks. The head maid shook her head as an answer.

 

“How about Min?”

 

“She’s with young master. She told driver ahjusshi awhile ago that Kyu will fetch her in school”

 

The head maid informs Jessica who nods happily.

 

“So, they are already in good terms huh?”

 

Jessica asks. The head maid just shook her head because she doesn’t know the answer.

 

“I’ll go inside my room now and take a rest for the meantime. Just call me if dinner is ready”

 

“Arasso young lady”

 

Jessica smiles at the head maid. She was about to walk towards the stairs when the telephone rings.

 

“I’ll answer it”

 

Jessica told the head maid. She walks towards the side table and grabs the telephone to answer the call.

 

“Good evening. Cho Mansion, Jessica Jung speaking. How may I help you?”

 

Jessica answers happily. Nicole smiles upon hearing Jessica’s calm voice.

 

“Good evening Ms. Jung. It’s Nicole”

 

“Oh! Hi there Nicole”

 

Jessica smiles brightly.

 

“Kyu is not yet here. What can I do for you?”

 

Jessica asks happily.

 

“I’m not looking for Sir. I just want to ask if Ms. Cho is already home”

 

“Oh!”

 

Jessica shook her head.

 

“Min is not yet home. She’s with Kyu. Maybe they will have a date today”

 

Jessica informs Nicole while smiling sweetly. Nicole suddenly feels confused upon hearing what Jessica told her. As far as she knows, her boss is currently at Jeju Island with Onew for his meeting and possible business partnership with Mr. Foster.

 

“Excuse me Ms. Jung, but what is it again? Sir is with Ms. Cho?”

 

Nicole asks with confusion in her voice. She knows that Kyuhyun didn’t bring his wife with him. Jessica nods her head happily.

 

“Yes”

 

“Did Sir bring Ms. Cho with him in Jeju Island today?”

 

Nicole asks curiously. Jessica’s expression suddenly becomes confused.

 

“Huh? What are you talking about? Kyu is in Jeju Island? He didn’t fetch Min in school?”

 

Jessica asks curiously. Her heart starts beating fast as she suddenly feels worried and nervous at the same time. Nicole nods her head.

 

“Yes. As far as I know, my boss leave awhile ago with Onew. They went in Jeju Island today because he will have a meeting with Mr. Foster today and he didn’t fetch his wife in school”

 

“Seriously?”

 

Nicole nods her head.

 

“Yes Ms. Jung. Why? Is there something wrong?”

 

“Oh my God!”

 

Jessica’s heart keeps on beating fast as she starts to panic.

 

“I’ll call Kyu. Thanks for the information. Bye”

 

Jessica hangs up. She quickly dials Kyuhyun’s number, but he’s not answering it. Jessica tries again, but still no answer.

 

“Oh my goodness Kyu, please answer the phone! Your wife is missing”

 

Jessica tries for the third time, but Kyuhyun is not really answering his mobile phone. Jessica gives up and stares at the head maid who is staring at her curiously.

 

“Please call driver ahjusshi. Now!”

 

Jessica commanded. The head maid nods her head and quickly walks away to call the family driver.

 

“OMO! What will I do now?”

 

Jessica asks. She’s feleing so nervous and her mind is actually blank. She doesn’t know what she will do and where she will find Sungmin. The head maid runs towards Jessica with the family driver.

 

“Young lady, ahjumma told me…”

 

“Where is Min?”

 

Jessica asks in a panic voice.

 

“Young lady told me that young master will fetch her in school”

 

“Why didn’t you call Kyu to confirm it?”

 

Jessica asks. The family driver didn’t answer.

 

“Min is missing. She lied to you. Kyu will not fetch her today because my cousin is currently in Jeju Island for a meeting. Ahjusshi, why are you so careless? Why did you believe on her? You’re not supposed to leave her unless you confirm that my cousin will really fetch her in school!”

 

Jessica reprimanded the family driver.

 

“Oh my goodness!”

 

Jessica holds her forehead.

 

“We’re all dead meat if something bad happen to her”

 

Jessica told them, still panicking. She looks at the family driver.

 

“Please start looking for her now!”

 

“Yes young lady”

 

The family driver bows his head at Jessica and quickly runs outside to and drives the BMW M6 Gran Coupe as fast as he can to look for Sungmin. Jessica takes a deep breath to calm herself. She stares at the head maid who looks so nervous and worried because Sungmin is missing.

 

“Ahjumma, I want you to call Siwon Oppa and tell him what happen. Tell him to help us look for Min and then call the police and report that Min is missing. Don’t ever call aunt or uncle. I’ll be the one who will inform Kyu about Min and please tell his driver to help us look for Min. I’ll go drive around to look for her. Just call the police”

 

The head maid nods her head. Jessica commanded one of the maids to gets her handbag inside her room. The maid quickly runs upstairs and gets Jessica’s handbag inside her room and then run downstairs. She gives the handbag to Jessica who quickly went out.

 

“! It was freezing cold out here. Min might catch cold. I need to find her soon”

 

Jessica whispers as she looks for her car key inside her handbag. Jessica successfully found it. She quickly enters her car and closes the door. She puts her handbag on the front seat and wears her seatbelt. She starts her car and starts driving it fast to look for her cousin in law.

*HYATT REGENCY, JEJU*

 

 

Kyuhyun was already inside the Conference Room of the Hyatt Regency. He was sitting quietly inside with Onew while waiting for Mr. Foster to arrive. They reset the time of their meeting to eight in the evening because Mr. Foster needs to attend an emergency meeting at seven in the evening.

 

“Sir, Mr. Foster is already inside the elevator. His secretary just told me”

 

Onew told Kyuhyun, showing him the text message from Mr. Foster’s secretary. Kyuhyun nods. He opens the folder that was on the table and starts reading it. It’s his business proposal for Mr. Foster. Kyuhyun was busy reviewing it when he feels his mobile phone vibrating inside his pocket. Kyuhyun gets it inside his pocket and stares at the caller’s name; it was Jessica. Kyuhyun stands up and went at the corner to answer the call.

 

“Yes Jess?”

 

Kyuhyun asks.

 

“Thank goodness you answer my call. I keep on calling you awhile ago”

 

Jessica told her cousin. Kyuhyun can sense that there’s something wrong going on because of Jessica’s panic voice.

 

“Is everything ok Jess? Why is your voice like that?”

 

Kyuhyun asks nervously. Jessica keeps on driving her car slowly, hoping to find her cousin in law walking at the street. The snow starts pouring.

 

“Kyu…”

 

Jessica stops her car at the corner. She gets her mobile phone on the holder and went out of her car to walk around and look for Sungmin. She doesn’t care if it’s really freezing outside because what she cares about at that moment is to found her blind cousin in law. Jessica is really worried about Sungmin and she just can’t help but to feel paranoid because it’s already eighth in the evening and they still can’t find Sungmin. Even the police officers are doing their best, but they really can’t find her. She’s not even in her apartment. They already go there and Jessica also go there to double check, but she didn’t find Sungmin inside and there are no sign that Sungmin went there or any sign that she’s in her apartment.

 

“Please go back here in Seoul now”

 

Jessica told Kyuhyun as she starts walking.

 

“I have a meeting. Mr. Foster will be here any minute. It’s a very important meeting Jess. I’ll return in Seoul after this meeting”

 

“But we need you now”

 

“But I really can’t go home now. Why? Is there something wrong?”

 

“Kyu”

 

Jessica stops walking to take a rest. She takes a deep breath.

 

“Min is missing”

 

Jessica informs her cousin.

 

“WHAT?”

 

Kyuhyun shouts so loud as his eyes grow big. Onew jumps on his seat upon hearing Kyuhyun’s loud shout. He turns around to look at his boss. Kyuhyun’s eyes are big and he looks so worried.

 

“What do you mean my wife is missing? Driver Ahjusshi fetch her in school awhile ago, right?”

 

Kyuhyun asks. His heart starts beating fast because of nervousness. Jessica nods.

 

“Yes he did. But your wife told him that you’re going to fetch her today”

 

“How come he didn’t even confirm it first?”

 

Kyuhyun asks, feeling a bit angry.

 

“There’s no time to get mad Kyu”

 

Jessica told her cousin as she can sense his anger because of his voice. She starts walking again.

 

“You really need to go home now. We really don’t know where to find her. I already call her friends. Min is not with any of them. They are already trying their best to help us find Min. Even her school is already helping us”

 

“Did you already inform mom and dad?”

 

Kyuhyun asks. Jessica shook her head.

 

“No”

 

“Good. Don’t ever tell them. I don’t want them to worry. Try looking for her in her apartment”

 

“I already did”

 

Jessica shook her head as tears start forming in her eyes because she’s scared that something bad already happen to her cousin in law.

 

“The police officers already went there and I also went there, but we didn’t find Min. There are no signs that she’s there or she went there. Kyu, please go back here now. We really don’t know what to do now. The snow keeps on pouring and it’s really freezing outside. What if Min has been kidnapped or what? Just go back here now, arasso?”

 

“Ok. I’ll go back in Seoul now”

 

Kyuhyun hangs up. His tears start forming in his eyes. Mr. Foster went inside the Conference Room with his secretary. He quickly walks towards Kyuhyun.

 

“Good evening Mr. Cho”

 

Mr. Foster greets Kyuhyun with a smile on his lips. He happily shakes Kyuhyun’s hand.

 

“Sorry if we need to reset our meeting. I really need to attend that emergency meeting. It’s for my company”

 

Mr. Foster explains his self. Kyuhyun nods.

 

“I’m sorry Mr. Foster. I really want to have a meeting with you, but I think I need to cancel it”

 

Kyuhyun told Mr. Foster who stares at him with a questioning look.

 

“I know that I’m being an unprofessional here, but I need to go back in Seoul now because my wife needs me. I’m really sorry. There’s an emergency at home and I need to go back in Seoul for my wife”

 

Kyuhyun told Mr. Foster with teary eyes. He was controlling his tears from falling. He feels so nervous because of thinking about Sungmin. He needs to go back in Seoul soon and look for her before something bad happens to her.

 

“I’m really sorry”

 

Kyuhyun hand his business proposal to Mr. Foster.

 

“That’s my proposal for you. Please read it and if you still want to be my business partner then I’m going to wait for your call I’m really sorry, but my wife needs me. Please excuse me. I need to go back in Seoul now”

 

Kyuhyun bows his head and leaves the Conference Room with Onew. He doesn’t care whether he will lose the opportunity to solve the problem in the company. All he cares about is his wife’s safety and he needs to found her no matter what happen. Kyuhyun went inside the elevator with Onew who quickly presses the ground floor button. Kyuhyun sighs as he rubs his forehead because his head is already aching thinking a lot of things. Kyuhyun already feels tired…deadly tired and really stress out.

 

“Sir…”

 

Kyuhyun looks at his secretary. Onew can see the tears that Kyuhyun keeps on holding back.

 

“Everything will be alright”

 

“Onew told his boss. Kyuhyun nods.

 

“Thanks Onew”

 

Kyuhyun smiles weakly and went out from the elevator as soon as the door opens. Onew follows him as they went at the parking lot. Kyuhyun went inside the car. Onew sits at the front seat. Kyuhyun buckles his seatbelt and drives the car fast at CJU Airport.

Kyuhyun arrives at ten thirty in the evening at Gimpo. He quickly drives his car that he left at the parking lot of Gimpo Airport to look for his wife. He drives his car at Itaewon, hoping that he can find his wife there because he was thinking that maybe Sungmin went at the Rosewood Hill Cemetery to visit her parents and he was right. Sungmin really went there. He saw her walking at the sidewalk. Sungmin just go out from the cemetery. Kyuhyun parks his car at the corner and quickly went out.

 

“BABY MIN!”

 

Kyuhyun shouts as he runs towards his wife. Sungmin didn’t stop walking. She heard Kyuhyun’s voice, but she just ignores him. She just continues walking as if she didn’t hear anything.

 

“MIN!”

 

Kyuhyun shouts again. He manages to catch her. Sungmin quickly pulls her arm away from Kyuhyun’s grip.

 

“Baby, please…let’s…”

 

Kyuhyun didn’t have the chance to finish speaking because Sungmin slaps his cheek.

 

“Leave me alone”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun as tears start forming in her eyes. Kyuhyun looks at her sadly and worriedly.

 

“Baby, I’m so sorry”

 

Kyuhyun told Sungmin sadly.

 

“Sorry? Is that all you can say after hurting me yesterday?”

 

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun didn’t answer. He really doesn’t know what to say, but the word sorry.

 

“You can get mad at me anytime that you want and hurt me as much as you want. How about me? Am I not allowed to do that? Am I not allowed to get mad at you and hurt you too? Why are you being so unfair huh? I hate you. Just leave me alone! I don’t want to go home”

 

Sungmin told her husband, releasing her anger as her tears start falling from her eyes. Kyuhyun moves closer to her, but Sungmin moves away.

 

“Baby, please”

 

Kyuhyun catches Sungmin. He holds her hands tight. Sungmin tries to escape, but Kyuhyun doesn’t want to let her go.

 

“LET ME GO! I’M NOT GOING HOME WITH YOU! I HATE YOU!”

 

Sungmin shouts as she starts to cry.

 

“You’re just going to hurt me! Just let me go Kyu! I don’t want to go home with you”

 

Sungmin shook her head. Kyuhyun starts feeling hurt. He knows that Sungmin is scared of him again and that really breaks his heart into pieces.

 

“I’m sorry. Please go home. If you hate me and you don’t want to go home because of me, then I’ll leave. I’ll just drop you home and I promise to leave. Just stay at our house, so I know that you’re safe”

 

“I don’t want”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun while shaking her head. Kyuhyun wipes her tears away.

 

“Stop crying…please…don’t cry because of me. I don’t want you to be like that. Stop crying baby. It hurts me”

 

Kyuhyun gently pulls Sungmin for a hug, but she pushes him away. Sungmin slaps Kyuhyun again, but he doesn’t mind at all.

 

“I hate you! Leave me alone!”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun. She turns her back and starts walking.

 

“Baby, please….listen to me”

 

Kyuhyun starts walking to follow Sungmin.

 

“Min…”

 

Sungmin ignores her as she crosses the street.

 

“MIN!!!!”

 

Sungmin heard two loud sounds. One is her husband’s loud scream and the other one is a loud sound of a car horn. Sungmin closes her eyes because of fear. She feels warm arms around her. She doesn’t know exactly happen. She doesn’t know how she ended lying on the ground with someone who is hugging her tight. Sungmin slowly opens her eyes. She can hear someone panting and it seems that he is hurt.

“Are you…ok?”

 

Kyuhyun asks as he stares at his wife worriedly.

 

“Kyu…”

 

Sungmin holds her husband’s gorgeous face and feels warm tears falling from his eyes.

 

“Kyu”

 

Sungmin whispers.

 

“I’m ok”

 

Kyuhyun whispers while bearing the pain. He actually hurt his left side. He runs towards Sungmin and manages to hugs her just in time before the car hits her. It’s good that the car is not fast or else they will both die.

 

“Are you guys ok?”

 

The woman asks Kyuhyun and Sungmin nervously.

 

“Why are you crossing the street without looking at your way?”

 

She asks Sungmin who didn’t answer. The woman notices the long cane on the ground and that the time that she realizes that Sungmin is actually blind. Kyuhyun slowly sits on the ground, holding his left side. He was avoiding in pain because he doesn’t want his wife to worry about him. He slowly gets up and helps Sungmin to stand. He looks at the woman while biting his lower lip. Kyuhyun bows his head to apologize.

 

“We’re really sorry. We’re fine. Thank you”

 

Kyuhyun told her, bearing the pain.

 

“Are you sure? I hit you”

 

“I’m fine”

 

Kyuhyun bows his head again. He slowly pick up his wife’s long cane as he walks at the safe place with Sungmin.

 

“Kyu, I’m…”

 

Sungmin stops talking when she feels her husband’s warm arms around her. Kyuhyun hugs her tight, afraid of letting her go and losing her. Sungmin can feel her husband trembling. She’s not sure if it’s because of the cold weather or because Kyuhyun is already crying softly.

 

“Please go home. I’m sorry. It’s ok to hate me as much as you want. I understand. I hurt you and I never fulfill my promises to you and I even broke one of it. I’m sorry. Please go home now. I promise to leave after dropping you at our house. You need to stay there, so I’m sure that you’re safe”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife. He’s feeling so tired and stress out. He just wants to collapse on that time and his left side is really aching badly. Kyuhyun looks at his beautiful wife who looks worried. He holds her beautiful face between his hands and wipes her tears away.

 

“Shhhh…I’m fine. Please don’t do that again. I thought I’m going to lose you”

 

Kyuhyun told Sungmin as he hugs her tight again.

 

“Please don’t go far away from me. I don’t want you to go. Please stay. I need you”

 

Kyuhyun told Sungmin sadly. Of course he needs his wife during that time. He feels like a loser because he feels that he fails to be a good husband to his wife and a good President to the company. Kyuhyun is already tired of thinking a lot of things and he just doesn’t know what to do anymore.

 

“Please give me strength”

 

Kyuhyun whispers. Sungmin can sense that something went wrong because of her husband’s sad voice. She can feel that he has a problem.

 

“What’s wrong?”

 

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun shook his head. He doesn’t want to involve Sungmin in his problem. He doesn’t want her to worry and to think too much.

 

“I’m fine”

 

Kyuhyun whispers. Sungmin knows that her husband is just trying to be fine. She can feel that Kyuhyun has a big problem and she knows that Kyuhyun needs her by his side.

 

“I’m not going far away from you. I’ll stay. I’m sorry Kyu”

 

Sungmin whispers.

 

“Go ahead and cry. I’m here”

 

Sungmin told him. Kyuhyun starts crying softly. Sungmin wraps her arms around her husband, hugging him tight. It’s the only thing that she can think to help comfort Kyuhyun and she knows that Kyuhyun just need a hug coming from her for him to be able to gain his strength and confident and for him to feel better.

*HAN RIVER PARK*

 

 

Kyuhyun drives his car at the Han River Park because Sungmin wants them to go there and talk about their misunderstanding before they go home. Kyuhyun holds Sungmin’s cold hands to warm it and for her to feel better.

 

“Kyu, let’s go see a doctor. We need to check if there’s really nothing wrong with your left side”

 

Sungmin told her husband, feeling worried about him. Kyuhyun shook his head.

 

“I’m fine. No need to see a doctor. It’s just a big bruise, but I’m fine”

 

“But”

 

Kyuhyun quickly kisses Sungmin’s lips to stop her from talking.

 

“Shhhh…I’m fine. Don’t insist or else I’m going to get mad”

 

“I’m sorry”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun sadly. She feels guilty because her husband is hurt because of her hard headedness. Kyuhyun flicks Sungmin’s forehead.

 

“Just don’t do it again next time. You scare me. I thought I’m really going to lose you awhile ago. Don’t do that again baby. Just slap me as much as you want, just don’t do something that will hurt you”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife. Sungmin reaches her hand out. Kyuhyun holds it and places it on his gorgeous face. Sungmin slowly runs her fingers on Kyuhyun’s cheek; the cheek that she slapped.

 

“I’m sorry. I slap you twice and it’s really hard”

 

“I deserve it…actually, that’s not enough to pay the price for hurting you yesterday. You supposed to punch me and kick me or you know…hurt me as much as you want”

 

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who shook her head.

 

“I can’t do that. I don’t want to hurt you. I’m really sorry Kyu. I know that it’s your fault, but then…it still ended as my fault since I did a stupid thing. I’m sorry”

 

Kyuhyun holds his wife’s beautiful face between his hands. He leans forward and slowly brushes his nose from hers before kissing her wonderful lips softly and sweetly.

 

“I love you Cho Sungmin”

 

Sungmin smiles upon hearing those sweet words from her husband.

 

“I’m sorry baby. I’ll just make it up to you tomorrow”

 

“Ok”

 

Kyuhyun smiles while staring at his wife’s sweet smile. Kyuhyun is already feeling sleepy since it’s already twelve midnight and he’s really super tired. Kyuhyun wraps an arm around his wife. Sungmin rest her head on Kyuhyun’s chest as they hold each other’s hands.

 

“Baby, what time is your Recognition Day tomorrow?”

 

Kyuhyun asks.

 

“How did you know about it?”

 

“Jess told me”

 

“It’s eight to ten in the morning. Are you coming?”

 

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun nods his head weakly.

 

“Of course baby. I don’t want to miss that special event. How about your Christmas Party?”

 

“It will start at seven”

 

“Ok. We’re going to attend it”

 

Sungmin raises her head to look at her husband.

 

“Really?”

 

Sungmin asks excitedly. Kyuhyun nods happily.

 

“You don’t want?”

 

“Of course I want”

 

Sungmin giggles happily and hugs her husband.

 

“Thanks Kyu. Can I ask for a favor?”

 

“Ok. What is it my beautiful brat baby Min?”

 

Kyuhyun asks happily. Sungmin smiles before answering.

 

“Let’s go home now and eat”

 

Sungmin holds her tummy and pout.

 

“I’m already hungry. I want you to cook for me”

 

“What?”

 

Kyuhyun asks with wide eyes open.

 

“Baby, do you want me to burn our house? I don’t know how to cook ok”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife, making her frown.

 

“Min, don’t be a brat ok. Honestly, you’re more brat than me. What happen to my innocent baby Min huh?”

 

Kyuhyun asks, teasing his wife.

 

“I’m still innocent. Fine, if you don’t want to cook then it’s ok. Let’s just go home now and just sleep”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun, still frowning.

 

“Fine….”

 

Kyuhyun sighs.

 

“I’m going to cook for you, but we need to go at the convenient store first because I’m going to buy something”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife while smiling. Of course he will cook for Sungmin…he will cook ramen for her because Kyuhyun thinks that it’s the easiest food to cook. Just boil the noodles in a casserole and add the seasonings and wait for thirty minutes and voila, the ramen is ready to eat.

 

“I’m going to cook a very special dinner for you”

 

Kyuhyun laughs softly.

 

“I know what you’re thinking Kyu”

 

Sungmin told her husband while pouting. Kyuhyun stares at her, waiting for her to continue speaking.

 

“You’re going to buy a ramen and cook it for me, right?”

 

Sungmin asks.

 

“How did you know?”

 

“Because I can read your mind”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun while laughing softly. She already has an idea on what dinner her husband is going to cook for her when Kyuhyun told her that they need to go at the convenient store first.

 

“That’s the only thing that I can cook, so don’t complain ok”

 

“I’m not complaining”

 

Sungmin giggles happily and stand up.

 

“Kyu, let’s go. I’m hungry”

 

“Arasso”

 

Kyuhyun stands up and stretches his back. He holds Sungmin’s hand tightly.

 

“Don’t ever run away from me again, arasso?”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife. Sungmin smiles and nods her head. Kyuhyun smiles and softly kisses Sungmin’s lips.

 

“I love you Cho Sungmin”

 

Kyuhyun whispers on her lips, making her smile sweetly.

 

“I love you to—“

 

Sungmin suddenly sneezes.

 

“Aigoo! We really need to go home now before you catch cold. It’s freezing cold out here and the snow is starting to fall again”

 

Kyuhyun carries Sungmin like a bride.

 

“Kyu, you can put me down. I can walk. You’re injured”

 

Sungmin told her husband worriedly. Kyuhyun shook his head.

 

“I’m fine baby”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife, bearing the pain on his left side.

 

“The car is a bit far. You’re going to get tired and it’s really cold. You might catch cold or get sick if we will stay long outside”

 

Kyuhyun explains.

 

“I love you brat”

 

Kyuhyun whispers while smiling at his beautiful wife. He quickly gives Sungmin a peck on her lips before walking towards his car while carrying Sungmin on his arms and humming a song for her.

“TADA! Here’s your dinner my beautiful baby Min!”

 

Kyuhyun happily told his wife as he places a hot bowl of ramen on the table. He and Sungmin are inside the kitchen. Kyuhyun blows the ramen, cooling it down before feeding his wife.

 

“So, what can you say?”

 

Kyuhyun asks while smiling brightly. Sungmin didn’t answer.

 

“It doesn’t taste good?”

 

Kyuhyun asks sadly. Sungmin smiles at him.

 

“It doesn’t have any taste”

 

“Seriously?”

 

Sungmin nods. Kyuhyun starts feeding his self carefully.

 

“Aish! It doesn’t taste good at all”

 

Kyuhyun pouts. Sungmin starts laughing.

 

“Yah! Don’t laugh at me brat. It’s your fault, so don’t complain. I already told you that I don’t know how to cook, but you still insist”

 

Kyuhyun told Sungmin while frowning at her. Sungmin stops laughing.

 

“It’s because you put a lot of water on it. But it’s ok. It’s still the best ramen”

 

Sungmin told her husband happily. She slowly opens . Kyuhyun stares at her.

 

“Why are you opening your mouth?”

 

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin pouts.

 

“You need to feed me”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun who shook his head. He puts down the spoon that he’s holding in the bowl.

 

“Let’s just call for a delivery. Seriously Min, it doesn’t taste good at all. So stop pretending that you like it”

 

“But I like it”

 

“Min”

 

“Fine…”

 

Sungmin starts laughing again.

 

“It doesn’t taste good. Seriously, what did you do to the ramen? The noodles are so soft. I think you over cooked it, that’s why and you put a lot of water”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun, still laughing.

 

“Stop laughing ok. I know that I’m a failure. I’m used to it”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife, feeling embarrassed because he fails to cook for her.

 

“I only know how to be grumpy and brat, but other than that…I know nothing…I’m such a failure”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife sadly. Sungmin stops laughing upon hearing her husband. She knows that Kyuhyun is thinking about his problem again.

 

“Kyu…”

 

Sungmin slowly stands up. Kyuhyun looks at her.

 

“Where are you going?”

 

Sungmin starts moving closer to him.

 

“I want to sit on your lap”

 

Sungmin told her husband. Kyuhyun holds her hands and helps her to sit on his lap. Sungmin sits on her husband’s lap, facing him. She wraps her arms around Kyuhyun’s neck while he places his hands at the sides of her waist.

 

“Yes baby? Is there something wrong?”

 

Kyuhyun asks worriedly. Sungmin shook her head.

 

“I’m the one who supposed to ask you that. Is there something wrong Kyu? Why don’t you tell it to me? I’m your wife”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun who just shook his head. He didn’t speak. He just stares at Sungmin sadly. He doesn’t want to share his problem to his wife because he doesn’t want Sungmin to worry about him. Sungmin starts brushing her finger on Kyuhyun’s eyebrow.

 

“I know that you have a problem. I can feel it even though you don’t tell it to me. I know that you’re hurt and you’re worried”

 

Sungmin holds Kyuhyun’s hand and smiles at him.

 

“But don’t forget that I’m here for you. I won’t force you to tell me about your problem. But if you can no longer carry it then get some strength from me and it’s ok to cry. You don’t need to show the people that you’re strong…just let it go. Crying can make a person feel better sometimes. No matter what your problem is, I’m here for you Kyu and always remember that even the best fall down sometimes. Failure is part of a person’s life. We need to fail for us to succeed”

 

Sungmin told her husband. She holds Kyuhyun’s gorgeous face between her hands.

 

“You might fail today, but I know that tomorrow you can be on top again. Just remember that I’m here for you. I will never get disappointed to you and I’m sure that mom and dad will do the same. So, I really don’t know what your problem is. But I hope this can make you feel better…”

 

Sungmin leans forward and softly kisses her husband’s lips. She slowly pulls back and smiles at Kyuhyun.

 

“I love you Kyu”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun, making him smile.

 

“I love you too baby. I know that I can make it as long as you’re here with me”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife. Sungmin was shock when Kyuhyun pulls her for a kiss. He kisses her lips softly and lovingly.

 

“I miss you so much baby”

 

Kyuhyun whispers on Sungmin’s lips before kissing her again. They kiss each other hungrily. They really miss each other so much and they show it to each other through their kiss. Kyuhyun slowly moves his mouth on his wife’s neck.

 

“Kyu…”

 

Sungmin moans her husband’s name softly as Kyuhyun starts her milky skin. Kyuhyun starts ing Sungmin’s white sleepshirt. Sungmin holds his hands to stop him.

 

“Kyu…”

 

Kyuhyun stops her milky skin. He stares at his wife.

 

“Kyu”

 

 

“Hmmm?”

 

Sungmin suddenly smiles.

 

“Why don’t we just go to our room now? You miss me, right?”

 

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun nods and kisses her lips softly.

 

“I miss so much”

“Then let’s go to our room now and show me how much you miss me”

 

Sungmin told her husband while smiling at him. Kyuhyun raises an eyebrow and gently flicks his wife’s forehead.

 

“Why are you being naughty all of a sudden huh?”

 

Kyuhyun asks.

 

“I thought we’re going to make love on Christmas?”

 

“Yes”

 

Sungmin nods happily.

 

“Can we not also do it tonight?”

 

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun smiles and leans his gorgeous face closer to hers as he softly her lower lip.

 

“If you promise to scream for me”

 

Kyuhyun whispers naughtily.

 

“Just don’t make it hard for me this time”

 

“Ok. I’ll be gentle this time”

 

Kyuhyun whispers on his wife’s lips before kissing her. He quickly pulls back just in time before Sungmin can kiss back.

 

“Kyu…”

 

Sungmin pouts. Kyuhyun smiles at her.

 

“Shhhh”

 

Kyuhyun whispers while brushing his soft lips on hers, teasing her.

 

“Let’s go to our room now and start making our baby”

 

Kyuhyun whispers, making his wife smiles brightly. Kyuhyun gives her a sweet peck on her lips before standing up. Sungmin wraps her legs around Kyuhyun’s waist as they go upstairs to do their romantic business inside their room.

RECOGNITION DAY…

 

Kyuhyun was awaken by the sound of his mobile phone. He reaches his hand out and runs his hand on the bedside table to look for his mobile phone. Kyuhyun manages to found it. He picks it up and answers the call.

 

“Yeoboseo”

 

Kyuhyun answers in sleepy voice. His eyes are still closed.

 

“I’m sorry to wake you Sir”

 

Kyuhyun recognizes the voice; it was Onew.

 

“Yes Onew?”

 

Kyuhyun asks.

 

“Sir…”

 

Onew smiles brightly.

 

“The secretary of Mr. Foster calls me awhile ago. He informs me that Mr. Foster wants to have a meeting with you later at five in the afternoon. Are you free on that time?”

 

Kyuhyun quickly opens his eyes upon hearing his secretary’s good news.

 

“Of course I am. Tell Mr. Foster’s secretary that I’m going to have a meeting with Mr. Foster at five in the afternoon”

 

“No problem Sir. Mr. Foster will just go here later for your meeting”

 

“Arasso. Thanks Onew”

 

Kyuhyun hangs up. Kyuhyun feels happy because Mr. Foster will give him a chance to prove his self to him and if he gets the deal then his problem is already solve.

 

“I can do it!”

 

Kyuhyun whispers. He puts his mobile phone back on top of the bedside table. He looks at his wife who is still sleeping peacefully beside him. Kyuhyun smiles and moves closer to her.

 

“Baby”

 

Kyuhyun whispers. He starts kissing Sungmin’s back and then her shoulder. He kisses it softly, waking his sleeping wife. Kyuhyun slowly runs his fingers on Sungmin’s soft milky skin.

 

“Kyu, I’m still sleeping”

 

Sungmin whispers as she wraps the blanket tightly around her body because she feels cold.

 

“But you need to wake up now”

 

Kyuhyun told her.

 

“I love you”

 

Kyuhyun whispers before showering her earlobe with soft kisses.

 

“Kyu, five minutes”

 

Sungmin whispers. Kyuhyun smiles and rests his cheek on hers as he hugs her from behind.

 

“Today is your recognition day. You must get up now or else you’ll be late”

 

“But it’s still early”

 

“But you need to get up now. Come on. Let’s take a bath together”

 

“I don’t want”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun before laughing softly.

 

“Hey, stop teasing me you brat baby”

 

Kyuhyun told Sungmin.

 

“Just get off now Kyu. I’m going to get up now”

 

“Later. Let me just hug you first”

 

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who just smiles, still with her eyes closed.

 

“Baby”

 

“Hmmm?”

 

“Is it ok if we arrive late later at your Christmas Party?”

 

Kyuhyun asks.

 

“You see. I have a very important meeting later at five in the afternoon. I don’t know what time it will be finish”

 

“Ok. No problem. The party is until midnight, so it’s ok to arrive late”

 

Sungmin yawns and slowly opens her eyes.

 

“Kyu…”

 

Sungmin holds Kyuhyun’s hand that was pressed gently on her tummy.

 

“I’m pregnant now, right?”

 

Sungmin asks her husband innocently. Kyuhyun laughs softly.

 

“How will I know? I’m not a doctor and beside…you won’t be able to know it in one day. You need to wait for couple of weeks for you to find out if you’re pregnant or not”

 

“What if I fail to be pregnant?”

 

Sungmin asks sadly.

 

“You still have business with me on Christmas Eve, so don’t be sad and we can always try again. You’re just eighteen. You still have a lot of time, so don’t worry too much ok”

 

Sungmin nods. Kyuhyun kisses his wife’s cheek.

 

“Ok. Let’s take a bath now. You need to prepare for your recognition day”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife before getting off of her. He gets off of the bed and carries Sungmin on his arms.

 

“I love you baby Min”

 

Kyuhyun gives Sungmin a sweet peck on her lips before going inside the bathroom for them to take a warm bath together.

Kyuhyun was happily taking photos of his wife with her friends after the recognition ceremony.

 

“So, you’re already in good terms with your husband?”

 

Heechul whispers before flashing a bright smile in front of the cameras. Sungmin nods her head happily.

 

“Where have you been yesterday huh? There are a lot of people who panic because of what you did yesterday”

 

Zhoumi reprimanded Sungmin.

 

“Sorry about that Unnie. I promise that I’m not going to run away from home again. I went at Rosewood Hill yesterday to visit my parents’ grave. I just miss them so much and I just cry my heart out while talking to them about my misunderstanding with my husband”

 

“It’s good that they found you. We really thought that you’ve been kidnapped”

 

Zhoumi told Sungmin.

 

“Kyu was the one who found me. I bet he knows where to find me if I’m not in my apartment”

 

Sungmin told her friends. Hyuk Jae quickly hugs Sungmin and was about to kiss her lips, but Youngwoon is quick enough to pulls her away from Sungmin.

 

“I told you to behave”

 

Youngwoon told Hyuk Jae who pouts so hard. Seungri moves closer to Sungmin. He holds her hand and gives her his gift.

 

“Happy Holidays Minnie. I won’t be able to attend the party later because we’re going in our province later”

 

“Huh? But how can I give you my gift if you will not be at the party later?”

 

Sungmin asks worriedly. Seungri smiles at her.

 

“It’s ok Minnie. Just give it to me next year when the classes resume”

 

“Ok”

 

“Have a wonderful holidays and advance happy birthday”

 

“Thanks”

 

Seungri smiles and hugs Sungmin. Kyuhyun was sitting on the chair while staring at them. He feels jealous, but he controls it because he trusts Sungmin. He knows that no matter what happen, his wife will never cheat on him and he’s the only man that Sungmin loves and he trust that. Sungmin say good bye to her friends before walking towards Kyuhyun with the help of Heechul and Zhoumi. Kyuhyun smiles at them before standing up.

 

“Are we going now?”

 

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin nods and say goodbye to Heechul and Zhoumi who happily wave their hands to Kyuhyun before running back to their other friends.

 

“Let’s go baby, so we can finish early. I still need to go in my office to prepare for my meeting later”

 

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who holds his hand tightly.

 

“Is there something wrong?”

 

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin shook her head and smiles sweetly at him.

 

“I just need to do something first Kyu”

 

“What?”

 

“Shhhh”

 

Sungmin happily takes off the medals around her neck and puts it on Kyuhyun’s neck.

 

“Thank you for being the best husband. I owe everything to you and those medals are yours. I become the number one student in my class because you never fail to give me inspiration and confident”

 

Sungmin told her husband. She kisses his lips and hugs him tight.

 

“I love you Kyu. Thanks for loving me too”

 

Sungmin whispers. Kyuhyun smiles and hugs her too.

 

“Do your best to get the deal later. I know you can do it because you’re the best President and CEO for me”

 

“What if I fail?”

 

Kyuhyun asks sadly. Sungmin raises her head and smiles at her husband.

 

“Then try again. If you fail then don’t fall too hard…but don’t worry because I’ll catch you”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun who gently pinches her nose.

 

“I know that I can do it because of you”

 

Kyuhyun kisses Sungmin’s lips softly.

 

“I love you”

 

Sungmin smiles brightly. Kyuhyun holds her hand as they leave the Auditorium together while holding each other’s hands happily.

After shopping for gifts and eating their lunch together, the couple went at Cho International Group of Companies. Kyuhyun is supposed to drop Sungmin at their mansion, but he remembers that Jessica is still in the office, so he just decided to bring his wife with her in his office. The employees bow at Kyuhyun and Sungmin as they walk at the lobby of the company. Kyuhyun notices them staring at her. It’s not their first time to see his wife; they already seen her during his party wherein his father announces that he will be the new President of Cho International Group of Companies. They were just shock to see her with Kyuhyun because it’s his first time bringing his wife with him at the company.

 

“They are staring at you”

 

Kyuhyun whispers softly to his wife as they walk towards his elevator. Sungmin’s innocent doe eyes suddenly grow big.

 

“Why?”

 

She asks her husband innocently.

 

“That’s because this is their first time seeing you here”

 

“You should bring me often”

 

Sungmin smiles as they enter Kyuhyun’s elevator. Kyuhyun presses the 7^th floor button. The elevator door slowly closes.

 

“By the way baby, you’re going with Nicole later”

 

“Where are we going?”

 

Sungmin asks curiously.

 

“Ritz Carlton Hotel. I made a reservation there awhile ago. Ms. Song will be there and her assistant to help you with your dress for the party later. The hairstylist and make-up artist will be there later. Nicole will be the one who will watch over you”

 

Kyuhyun informs his wife.

 

“How about you?”

 

“I’ll go there after my meeting with Mr. Foster. Driver Ahjusshi will fetch us there later”

 

“Are we going to stay there?”

 

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun looks at her. Sungmin was smiling brightly.

 

“It depends on you”

 

“But are flight will be tomorrow”

 

Sungmin shook her head.

 

“We’re not yet packing our things”

 

Sungmin explains.

 

“It’s ok baby. We can stay if you want”

 

"How about Jessica Unnie”

 

“She can stay alone in the house. She’s used to it. Let’s just go home tomorrow after breakfast and pack our things since our flight will be at eighth in the evening”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife before going out of the elevator with her. They walk at the hallway. Kyuhyun was holding his wife’s hand, never letting her go. All eyes are upon her as the employees walking at the hallway bow at them and stare at Sungmin who looks so beautiful in her simple white v-neck lacey dress and red peep toe heels. She’s not wearing any makeup, but she still looks so beautiful and that’s why the people who are passing by at the hallway, can’t help but to stare at her and admire her natural beauty. Kyuhyun went inside a room. Onew and Nicole quickly stand up and bow at him and Sungmin.

 

“Hi Ms. Cho. It’s good to see you here”

 

Nicole greets Sungmin happily. Sungmin smiles at them.

 

“Kyu needs to bring me here because nobody will take care of me. What time are we leaving later Nicole?”

 

Sungmin asks. Nicole looks at Kyuhyun.

 

“You will leave after thirty minutes. One of my Personal Assistants will drop you and Nicole at the hotel”

 

Kyuhyun answers Sungmin’s question. Sungmin nods her head. Kyuhyun looks at Onew.

 

“Is everything ready at Conference Room 9 for my meeting with Mr. Foster later at five in the afternoon?”

 

Kyuhyun asks. Onew nods happily t him.

 

“Yes Sir”

 

Kyuhyun nods.

 

“Thanks”

 

Kyuhyun smiles at his secretaries before entering his office with Sungmin.

 

“Kyu…”

 

“Yes baby?”

 

Kyuhyun stops walking and looks at his wife.

 

“I want you to carry me”

 

Sungmin commanded. Kyuhyun gets his wife’s handbag away from her grip and puts it on top of his desk. He removes his backpack and places it on his chair before carrying his wife. Sungmin happily wraps her arms around her husband’s neck and her flawless legs around his waist.

 

“Seriously Min, stop eating a lot ok. I really think that you gain some weight. You’re heavy”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife. He was thinking if he loses some weight or his wife just gains some weight because he finds her heavy. Kyuhyun was about to put Sungmin down on top of his desk, but Sungmin protested. She doesn’t want to sit on top of Kyuhyun’s desk. She only wants Kyuhyun to carry her in which Kyuhyun didn’t protest at all.

 

“What do you want this time huh brat baby?”

 

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin smiles at him.

 

“Are you going to tour me around the company?”

 

“No”

 

“Why?”

 

Sungmin pouts. Kyuhyun shook his head.

 

“I have a work to do and we don’t have much time. Maybe I can tour you around next time”

 

Kyuhyun told Sungmin, making her smile sweetly.

 

“Kyu…”

 

Sungmin presses her forehead on his, so that their faces will be closer to each other.

 

“Yes baby?”

 

Kyuhyun asks, brushing his lips on hers.

 

“Fighting!”

 

Sungmin happily cheers her husband before giving him a sweet peck on his lips.

 

“You can do it, arasso?”

 

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun nods at her.

 

“Of course I can”

 

“You put me down now”

 

Kyuhyun obeys his wife and put her down carefully.

 

“Stay there baby. I’ll just get a couch for you”

 

Kyuhyun let go of Sungmin and pulls the couch and places it beside his chair. He walks towards his wife and holds her hand as they walk towards the couch. He helps Sungmin sit before sitting on his chair. Kyuhyun places his backpack under his desk and opens his laptop and starts working. Sungmin suddenly stands and sits on her husband’s lap.

 

“Baby, I’m working”

 

Kyuhyun told Sungmin as he stares at her.

 

“I know. Just continue working”

 

Sungmin smiles. Kyuhyun raises an eyebrow.

 

“How can I work if you’re distracting me?”

 

“I’m not. I just want to sit on your lap and be closer with you”

 

Sungmin defended herself. Kyuhyun sighs and stares at his y wife and that’s the thing that distracts him.

 

“Are you seducing me or what?”

 

Kyuhyun asks as he closes Sungmin’s coat, so he won’t see her beautiful s. Sungmin shook her head and rests it on her husband’s chest.

 

“I just want us to be like this. Don’t be naughty and focus on your work, so you won’t get distracted”

 

Sungmin laughs softly, teasing Kyuhyun.

 

“Just behave before we end up on top of my desk. You sleep for awhile. I’ll just wake you up if you and Nicole are already leaving”

 

Kyuhyun told his wife, but much to his surprise, Sungmin is already sleeping.

 

“Hey, I’m still talking. How can you sleep that fast?”

 

Kyuhyun told his sleeping wife. He smiles while staring at her beautiful and very innocent face. Kyuhyun softly kisses her head.

 

“I love you”

 

Kyuhyun whispers. He gently pinches Sungmin’s nose before focusing his eyes on his laptop. He continues working while Sungmin is sleeping peacefully on top of him.

 

“You really love making me your bed”

 

Kyuhyun whispers happily while reviewing his business proposal for his meeting with Mr. Foster at five in the afternoon on that day.

Sungmin was sitting quietly inside the Grand Ballroom of Shilla Hotel. She’s done giving her gifts to her friends and receiving gifts coming from them and other students and of course to her admirers. She was sitting sadly and she doesn’t want to join her friends in partying. She feels upset because Kyuhyun is not with her. Nicole told her that she will go at the party alone because Kyuhyun is still having a meeting. Driver Ahjusshi drops her alone at Shilla Hotel for the Journalism Department’s Christmas Party. Hyuk Jae keeps on bothering her to join them. She even invites Sungmin to dance with her, but Sungmin doesn’t want. She just wants to be alone. Hyuk Jae gives up and just leaves Sungmin alone because that’s what she wants. Sungmin is still hoping that her husband will arrive. She envies those girls with partners.

 

“MR.---“

 

Heechul quickly covers Hyuk Jae’s mouth before he can shout Kyuhyun’s name.

 

“Shhhh”

 

Heechul whispers as they watch Kyuhyun walks towards Sungmin. Girls who have crush on him starts giggling happily upon seeing him while others envy Sungmin for having a husband like him. Kyuhyun was holding a beautiful bouquet. He looks tired and sleepy, but still gorgeous. He went straight at Shilla Hotel to join his wife in her Christmas Party after his meeting with Mr. Foster. He’s still wearing corporate attire because he doesn’t have time left to change his clothes. Kyuhyun stand behind Sungmin and gives her the bouquet that he was holding.

 

“Why are you not enjoying the party with your friends?”

 

Kyuhyun asks while smiling. Sungmin’s eyes widened upon hearing his voice.

 

“Kyu”

 

Kyuhyun grabs a chair and sits beside Sungmin. He quickly kisses her lips.

 

“Sorry, I’m super later and sorry if you need to go alone here”

 

Kyuhyun told Sungmin who quickly hugs him.

 

“I thought you’re not coming”

 

Sungmin whispers. Kyuhyun looks at her and gently flicks her forehead.

 

“I told you that I will join you, so you’re not supposed to be sad. You supposed to enjoy the party and party with your friends rather than sitting here alone”

 

“Then you should party with me”

 

Sungmin puts the bouquet on top of the table. She stands up and pulls Kyuhyun away from his chair as they join her friends on the dance floor. Hyuk Jae was about to pull Sungmin towards her, but Kyuhyun quickly hugs his wife, protecting her from the people who is trying to steal her away from him.

 

“Hey, I’m just going to dance with her. Why are you so selfish?”

 

Hyuk Jae asks Kyuhyun while frowning. Kyuhyun smiles at her and stuck his tongue out.

 

“She’s mine”

 

“I hate you. You’re really my number one worst enemy”

 

Hyuk Jae told Kyuhyun, making Sungmin laughs softly. Hyuk Jae moves closer and quickly kisses Sungmin’s lips.

 

“I still win”

 

Hyuk Jae told Kyuhyun as she stuck her tongue out before running away like a kid.

 

“Aish! That girl is really crazy”

 

Kyuhyun whispers.

 

“How can she kiss you huh?”

 

Kyuhyun asks his wife who is already laughing.

 

“Why are you laughing brat girl?”

 

“Because you’re so cute…you’re so childish”

 

Sungmin told her husband. She wraps her arms around his neck as Kyuhyun places his hands on the sides of her waist. They start dancing slowly to the romantic music.

 

“How’s your meeting my Mr. President?”

 

Sungmin asks happily. Kyuhyun smiles at her.

 

“Problem solved baby. I successfully get the deal. I’m going in New York next year”

 

“When?”

 

Kyuhyun shook his head.

 

“I still don’t know when. Maybe on the last week of January or February”

 

Sungmin just nods her head and Kyuhyun knows what it means. He gently presses his cheek on hers.

 

“I won’t be away from you for a long time and if you’re not going to miss important classes or activities in school then I’ll bring you with me, so don’t be sad”

 

Kyuhyun whispers as he hugs his wife.

 

“Thank you baby”

 

“For what? I didn’t remember doing anything for you. All I did is to become a brat and make it hard for you”

 

“I know. But still thank you because if you’re not here with me then I’ll forever be a failure. If you didn’t come into my life then I won’t be like this. I will never learn how to love and value the true happiness and my life will be a failure. I won’t be able to be a good son to my parents”

 

“It’s your choice and not mine. You become like that because you want it. You change into a better person because you want it. I should help you realize those important things in life”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun who looks at her.

 

“But you’re still the reason why I’m like this”

 

Kyuhyun smiles at her.

 

“Baby, I was wondering….if I’m still a bad boy, are you still going to love me?”

 

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin smiles at him and slowly brushes a finger on his eyebrow.

 

“You know the answer Kyu”

 

“But I want to hear it from you”

 

“Well…”

 

Sungmin nods happily.

 

“Of course I will still love you no matter how bad you are because I know that you will still change and choose to be a better person for me, right?”

 

“Of course baby. Your touch will still melt my heart of stone and your love will still change me and help me to become a better person”

 

Kyuhyun softly kisses Sungmin’s lips.

 

“I love you Min”

 

Sungmin smiles sweetly.

 

“I love you too Kyu. Let’s enjoy the rest of the night together, arasso?”

 

“Ok”

 

Sungmin smiles brightly and rests her head on her husband’s chest as they continue dancing together, enjoying their time together.

Sungmin and Kyuhyun are already lying on their bed; ready to sleep. Kyuhyun was hugging his wife tightly as he rests his head under her s. He was rubbing Sungmin’s tummy.

 

“Why are you rubbing my tummy?”

 

Sungmin asks.

 

“I’m just wondering if our little angel is already inside. I really want us to have a baby soon”

 

“Do you think our little angel is inside my tummy now?”

 

Sungmin asks happily.

 

“I hope so”

 

Kyuhyun whispers while smiling. He slowly yawns and closes his eyes.

 

“Kyu”

 

“Hmmm?”

 

“Are you sleeping already?”

 

Sungmin asks as she starts her husband’s hair gently.

 

“Don’t do that Min. I’m going to fall asleep fast”

 

Kyuhyun whispers. Sungmin can feel that her husband is already sleepy because of the sound of his voice. She knows that Kyuhyun is just trying his best not to fall asleep because he still wants to spend some time with her and because Kyuhyun knows that Sungmin still wants to talk and he needs to listen to her.

 

“Kyu…”

 

“I’m listening”

 

Kyuhyun softly speaks, still rubbing his wife’s tummy.

 

“Thank you for this day. I have fun with you. I know that you’re really tired, but you still manage to spend some time with me”

 

“I told you that I’m going to make it up to you. I’ve been away from you for a long time and it’s my one way of luring you because I throw a fight with you when I arrive here in Seoul. Instead of hugging you and kissing you, I end up hurting you because of my jealousy”

 

“That’s why you need to promise that you’re not going to be jealous anymore”

 

Kyuhyun shook his head.

 

“I can’t. I’m a possessive brat. I can’t help but to get jealous whenever men are around you”

 

“So, that’s why you keep on guarding me awhile ago, right?”

 

Sungmin asks. It’s true that Kyuhyun never leaves her alone awhile ago. He always makes sure that he’s always close to his wife no matter what she does or no matter where she goes. Kyuhyun guards her against those men who are staring at Sungmin with hidden desire and against her admirers. Kyuhyun always wrap his arm around her waist, to show them that he was her man and that Sungmin is only his exclusively.

 

“I just don’t like the way those men stare at you awhile ago. Say, they are your admirers, right? Even those Professors has crush on you, right?”

 

Kyuhyun asks. Sungmin nods.

 

“Are you going to transfer me now to other school or you’re just going to enroll me in a home study after the holidays?”

 

Sungmin asks, teasing Kyuhyun.

 

“Why will I do that? I know that you’re already enjoying school and you have friends. You will just be sad if I transfer you to other school or if I enroll you in a home base study because you’ll be away from your friends. I may be jealous, but I’m not the type of husband who takes his wife’s happiness away because of jealousy and beside, I enroll you in school for you to learn to socialize with people and gain some friends, so you will be able to overcome your fear and having admirers in school is just part of being a student”

 

Kyuhyun explains.

 

“The thing that I can promise you is, I will try my best to control my temper. I think we should talk properly every time that we’re going to have misunderstandings, so the thing that happen yesterday won’t happen anymore. I don’t want you to run away from me. Don’t ever do that again Min. Seriously, you worry a lot of people yesterday, so don’t ever do that again. Never ever run away from home again and away from me. Do you understand?”

 

Sungmin nods.

 

“Ok Kyu. I understand and sorry again for what I did yesterday. By the way, how long are we going to stay in Sydney?”

 

“Well…we’re leaving on the 26^th because we’re going to spend New Year in other country…just the two of us”

 

“Why?”

 

“Secret. I won’t tell you, so don’t insist”

 

Kyuhyun told Sungmin while laughing softly, making his wife pouts.

 

“Just tell it to me”

 

“No”

 

“Fine”

 

Kyuhyun just smiles as Sungmin keeps on his hair.

 

“Kyu, are you going to sleep now?”

 

Sungmin asks. Kyuhyun didn’t answer.

 

“Are you sleeping already?”

 

Sungmin asks as she feels her husband slowly becomes relax as well as his breathing. Sungmin smiles.

 

“Ok. Go to sleep now. I know that you’re really tired now. Sleep tight my Prince Charming. I love you”

 

Sungmin told Kyuhyun while his hair gently.

 

“I love you too Min”

 

Kyuhyun answers.

 

“I thought you’re already sleeping”

 

“Yes…but I want to tell you that I love you before I…”

 

Kyuhyun didn’t have the chance to finish talking as he completely falls asleep.

 

“Why are you so cute?”

 

Sungmin asks while laughing softly.

 

“I love you Kyu. Thank you for this day. I know that you’re really tired, but then you still try your best to make it up for me and I really appreciate it”

 

Sungmin smiles and holds Kyuhyun’s hand that was pressed on her tummy.

 

“I hope our little angel will arrive soon. I know that you’re going to be happy when our little angel is finally inside my tummy. I’m sure that you’re going to be a great daddy because you’re a great husband and CEO and President of a company. Sleep tight”

 

Sungmin smiles as she imagines herself being pregnant.

 

“Little angel, please arrive soon. Your daddy and I are already waiting for you. I hope you’re going to be inside my tummy soon”

 

Sungmin whispers happily.

 

“I love you Kyu. I always do. Let’s sleep now”

 

Sungmin told her sleeping husband. She slowly closes her eyes and continues her husband’s hair until she finally falls asleep with a sweet smile on her lips…a sweet smile that only appears because of Kyuhyun.
