Ever So Enchanting
CHAPTER 13:
Epilogue
Calvin Chen and Genie Zhou met each other through common friends and they have been dating ever since. After three years together, they decided to get married in Tirtha Brial. ‘I knew I wanted to spend my life with her.’ Calvin says loving while looking at his wife.
They walked hand in hand throughout their wedding planning process, Calvin’s modern taste and Genie’s classic love infused with Tirtha’s glassy modern Chapel was adorned with wild flowers, cactus and roses as décor for their venue. Their wish to have their wedding as simple and classic shone through their wedding cake and attire when the bride-to-be walked down the aisle in a classic beaded mermaid gown. While Calvin stood handsomely by the alter; in a timeless black suit. They were joined by 100 guests who flew in to celebrate with the beautiful couple for their magical day. Wishing them a beautiful marriage as they intrigued by the exotic Balinese entertainment and Asian dishes fill their stomachs.
Calvin and Genie feel that their wedding vows were a special moment where the two only saw each other. They confessed that they weren’t certain if their guests were in the Chapel with them but when they kissed, they were happy to know that their friends and family didn’t sneak out. ‘It was definitely a very intimate moment for me.’ Genie admitted while holding onto her husband’s hand adoringly.
Calvin couldn’t help but smile at his wife’s confession. The interviewer got up and smiles, congratulating the couple as he headed back to the party. Genie stares down at their intertwined hands and smiles. She couldn’t believe it! She had waited for so long to be someone’s wife. She never in a million years believe that she would get married to a man who was from the upper-class, smart, handsome and selfless. She counted her blessings every night, hoping to find one that didn’t count but there was none. He was perfect, so perfect. It was one of Calvin’s friends who were in the publication company. He sat down with them and did a small overview of their wedding since everyone was curious to see how one of their bachelors drops his parties to be a husband.
He came around Genie and hugged her. She was so beautiful. If only looks can kill.
Calvin wanted their wedding to be perfect. No reporters, no party crashers, no trouble and no on-lookers. He paid attention to the details while he told her to relax. There was no need to stress these things when he is going to be dealing with it. He could tell how stressful she was; she felt everyone’s eyes on her. She was trying her best to keep up with the growing trends that she forgot how to be herself. Luckily, with the help of Cal and Gui, she managed to create her very own dream-like wedding. The public kept asking: ‘Where’s the wedding going to be?’ ‘Which designer designed your dream gown?’ ‘How many guests will there be?’ So Calvin had to do something about it. With the help from his three best friends, he managed to keep the public out and the guests were more than delighted to keep their lips sealed.
“Let’s join the party babe.” Genie whispers, she made her way to the door but a metre away, Calvin twirled her around and brought their lips together. The mermaid gown she had on was replaced by the gown she wore during Vi Wu’s Ultimate XII Goddess collection. The X-shaped collar at the back adorned the dress. It was this very dress she fell in love with.
“I love you so much.” He whispers playfully into her ear and she laughs. She stares at his white-collar shirt on his body and seductively s the first couple of buttons.
His brow arched and he could tell that she was trying to play his game. “Nuh uh babe, let’s save this for our bedroom.” Seeing how taunting she was, he couldn’t help but swallow. He was getting ; he can’t wait till they reach their suite. “Honey,” she continues. “You started this first.”
She grabs his hand and walked out of the room to see their friends and family cheering them on.
Aaron, Jiro, Wu Chun, Mike, Rainie, Gui and Cyndi cheered loudly for Calvin and Genie who was making their way up to the podium. Their dinner spot was decorated according to their request. Cactus, Wild flowers, Roses and Candles lit the venue enchantingly. The sweet, romantic feeling in the air flew around the room; everyone in attendance was filled with joy and excitement.

Everyone sat down and all eyes were on Aaron, Jiro and Wu Chun. They left their jackets back in their rooms and changed into a lighter piece of clothing. Still, they kept it formal and simple by wearing a dress shirt.
“A toast to the bride and groom! We have been best friends for the longest I could remember and who knew that you would be the first to get hitched? Neither of us could possibly predict that you would be the one who would be the first―now standing here, as I am giving you a toast, I can really see how wonderful your fiancé is.” Wu Chun started it off.
