[S2] Chapter 12
Ever So Enchanting
CHAPTER 12: Date with Fate
(Final Chapter)
The heart is the one thing we cannot control; no matter how determined we are we,
we cannot change the direction it goes.
But then it begs the million dollar question, how far can love take us?
Aaron faked a smile at the group of people he was talking to. He took his eyes off the group to see Gui meeting Li Quan. He couldn’t help but tighten his jaw; he glimpsed down at the glass and gulps it down.
“Aaron, we are dying to hear how you met your lovely wife.”
“Believe it or not, I was the one who chased after her but if you ask her, she would tell you it was a different story.”
“You chased after her? Aaron Yan did the chasing? I never imagined you to drop your clubbing days to chase after the girl and a girl at that!”
“I don’t know how I managed to do it; I just wanted to be by her side.”
He looks back at the spot but Gui and Li Quan was not standing there anymore. ‘Where did they go?’ He excused himself from the group and walks around the space, trying to get a visual of where they were but nada.

“Did you say something?”
For a moment there, Gui could see how perplexed he looked. As if he was debating something.
“We should head back to the party, have you met Aaron yet?”
Gui turned around, attempting to go back but Li Quan blocked her path and backed her against the wall. He punched the wall with his fist, closing her in on both sides.
“L-Li Quan?! What are you doing?”
“Aaron… don’t you dare say his name.”
He leaned in closer to her and Gui pushed him away. But they were still close to each other. He chuckles, nowadays; he is feeling all sorts of rejection in every form and way.
“Can’t it be me?”
“W-What are you saying?!”
Flashback
Gui could vividly remember the last time she fell for his charms.
Li Quan was more than the school jock who everyone loved to be with—he seems like he could give her the world.
But what the mind imagines is different than what reality shaped the person.
“We will just be here for a couple of minutes! I promise! If I want to be Li Quan’s girlfriend, I need to figure out how I am supposed to fit into his wo
