“Beautiful.” Dara exclaimed as soon as the car stilled into a stop. They parked at the side of a cliff overlooking Seoul. And Seoul at night was a sight to behold with its brightly lit establishment. And the sky was full of bright dancing stars.   “Very.” Jae agreed but his sight was on Dara.   Oblivious to Jae, she continued to gaze out of the window, a warm smile on her lips. Nature always calms her. She lowered the window and inhaled. Her smile widened. They spent the next minutes in silence, both in deep thought. Jae was battling an internal war. Conflicted between what his heart was saying to what his mind was dictating. It was obvious to him now that Dara was important to him. That he was in fact in love with this beautiful woman he once labelled a dorky child. And Seung Hyun was of course important to him too. They’ve been friends even before their debuts. They’ve battled countless fights together. He wouldn’t even dream of hurting even his toy collections. But he has no control over his feelings towards Dara. And he can’t lie to Seung Hyun, that would be an even greater sin. What was left now was to be fair.   No matter how badly he wanted to confess his feelings to Dara, he could not bring himself to do so. He needs to talk to Seng Hyun first and explain. That like him, he failed to escape Dara’s charm. She was just too lovable.   “Jae.” Dara called his name with a smile. “Thank you for sharing this with me. I feel much better now.”   He smiled back. “Thank you.”   She blinked. “For what? I haven’t done anything.”   He shook his head. “You made me happy today.” He extended his hand, showing his pinky finger. “Let’s promise to always be true even with the cameras are rolling, let’s be real friends. Can you promise me that?”   She nodded, smiling brightly as she did the pinky promise with her new friend. “Promise.”   He was expecting it. But the sight still made him grimace. Four grinning monsters were waiting for him at his apartment. The maknae still had this silly little smile on his face. Two things were absolutely clear. First, Changmin’s date with Minzy was a success and second the love sick boy already revealed his secret. He was not particularly happy with this lot at the moment.   “So,” Junsu said with a huge smile, “how was your date?”   He ignored his question and went to drink water instead. “Hello to you guys too. Why am I not surprised to see you four here?”   Mickey grinned. “You know us Jae, we like hearing stories. So how was your date with Dara noona?”   He looked at the four expectant faces of his friends with a blank expression. “It was not really a date.”   “You know that we are not buying that.”   He sighed. The gravity of the situation finally weighed him down. He sat on the edge of his bed and covered his face with his hands. He has found himself in numerous situations but nothing as complicated as this.   The four men exchanged worried glances. It was Yunho who dared ask. “Did something happen Jae?”   When he remained quiet, Changmin was forced to wipe the silly smile on his face and moved to sit beside his hyung. He was there to support him earlier, he would comfort him now. He gingerly placed a comforting arm on his hyung’s shoulders and looked at his other hyungs for support. “Hyung, what happened? Is everything ok? Did something bad happen?”   Jae took a deep breath before answering in a serious voice that warned the members to not laugh. It was rare to see him break down like this. Last time he did, it was when he decided to file the case against SM.   “Nothing bad happened. But things just turned really complicated.”   “Why?”   He sighed. “I lost the bet.” He finally admitted, meeting the solemn gazes of his friends. He was not sure what happened but something inside him snapped. Maybe it was the stress or maybe he just wanted to blame someone for putting him in such a difficult situation. Falling for your best friend’s girl was such a classic story line. And damn him for falling right into the middle of the plot. “Shouldn’t you guys be screaming with joy?
